Ezekiel 15

1 And the word of the Lord was maad to me,

௧யெகோவாவுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு உண்டாகி, அவர்:

2 and he seide, Sone of man, what schal be don to the tre of a vyne, of alle the trees of woodis, that ben among the trees of woodis?

௨மனிதகுமாரனே, காட்டிலிருக்கிற செடிகளுக்குள் மற்ற எல்லாச் செடிகொடிகளைவிட திராட்சைச்செடிக்கு மேன்மை என்ன?

3 Whether tymbre schal be takun therof, that werk be maad? ether shal a stake be maad therof, that ony vessel hange ther onne?

௩ஏதாவது ஒரு வேலைசெய்ய அதிலே ஒரு கட்டை எடுக்கப்படுமோ? ஏதாவது ஒரு பொருட்களை தூக்கிவைக்கும்படி ஒரு முளையை அதினால் செய்வார்களோ?

4 Lo! it is youun in to mete; fier wastide euer eithir part therof, and the myddis therof is dryuun in to deed sparcle; whether it schal be profitable to werk?

௪இதோ, அது நெருப்பிற்கு இரையாக எறியப்படும்; அதின் இரண்டுமுனைகளையும் நெருப்பு எரித்துப்போடும்; அதின் நடுத்துண்டும் வெந்துபோகும்; அது எந்த வேலைக்காவது உதவுமோ?

5 Yhe, whanne it was hool, it was not couenable to werk; hou myche more whanne fier hath deuourid, and hath brent it, no thing of werk schal be maad therof?

௫இதோ, அது வேகாமல் இருக்கும்போதே ஒரு வேலைக்கும் உதவாமல் இருக்க, நெருப்பு அதை எரித்து, அது வெந்துபோனபின்பு, அது இனி ஒரு வேலைக்கு உதவுவது எப்படி?

6 Therfor the Lord God seith thes thingis, As the tre of a vyne is among the trees of woodis, which Y yaf to fier to deuoure, so Y yaf the dwelleris of Jerusalem,

௬ஆதலால், யெகோவாகிய ஆண்டவர் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்றால்: காட்டுச்செடிகளுக்குள் இருக்கிற திராட்சைச்செடியை நான் நெருப்பிற்கு இரையாக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்ததுபோல, எருசலேமின் குடிகளையும் அப்படியே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து,

7 and Y schal sette my face ayens hem. Thei schulen go out of the fier, and fier schal waaste hem; and ye schulen wite, that Y am the Lord, whanne Y schal sette my face ayens hem,

௭என்னுடைய முகத்தை அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்புவேன்; அவர்கள் ஒரு நெருப்பிலிருந்து நீங்கித் தப்பினாலும், வேறே நெருப்பு அவர்களை எரிக்கும்; அப்படியே நான் என்னுடைய முகத்தை அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாகத் திருப்பும்போது, நான் யெகோவா என்று அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.

8 and schal yyue the lond with out weie and desolat, for thei weren trespassours, seith the Lord God.

௮அவர்கள் துரோகம்செய்தபடியினால், நான் தேசத்தைப் பாழாய்ப் போகச்செய்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொல்லுகிறார் என்றார்.
