Exodus 5

1 Aftir these thingis Moises and Aaron entriden, and seiden to Farao, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Delyuere thou my puple, that it make sacrifice to me in deseert.

അതിന്റെശേഷം മോശെയും അഹരോനും ചെന്നു ഫറവോനോടു: മരുഭൂമിയിൽ എനിക്കു ഉത്സവം കഴിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്റെ ജനത്തെ വിട്ടയക്കേണം എന്നിപ്രകാരം യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

2 And he answeride, Who is the Lord, that Y here his vois, and delyuere Israel? I knowe not the Lord, and Y schal not delyuere Israel.

അതിന്നു ഫറവോൻ: യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടയപ്പാൻ തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാൻ യഹോവയുടെ വാക്കു കേൾക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ആർ? ഞാൻ യഹോവയെ അറികയില്ല; ഞാൻ യിസ്രായേലിനെ വിട്ടയക്കയുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

3 Thei seiden, God of Ebrews clepide vs, that we go the weie of thre daies in to wildirnesse, and that we make sacrifice to oure Lord God, lest perauenture pestilence, ether swerd, bifalle to vs.

അതിന്നു അവർ: എബ്രായരുടെ ദൈവം ഞങ്ങൾക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ്‌വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ മഹാമാരിയാലോ വാളാലോ ഞങ്ങളെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞങ്ങൾ മൂന്നു ദിവസത്തെ വഴി മരുഭൂമിയിൽ പോയി, ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4 The kyng of Egipt seide to hem, Moises and Aaron, whi stiren ye the puple fro her werkis? Go ye to youre chargis.

മിസ്രയീംരാജാവു അവരോടു: മോശേ, അഹരോനേ, നിങ്ങൾ ജനങ്ങളെ വേല മിനക്കെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്തു? നിങ്ങളുടെ ഊഴിയവേലെക്കു പോകുവിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

5 And Farao seide, The puple of the loond is myche; ye seen that the cumpany hath encreessid; hou myche more schal it encreesse, if ye schulen yyue to hem reste fro werkis.

ദേശത്തു ജനം ഇപ്പോൾ വളരെ ആകുന്നു; നിങ്ങൾ അവരെ അവരുടെ ഊഴിയവേല മിനക്കെടുത്തുന്നു എന്നും ഫറവോൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

6 Therfor Farao comaundide in that dai to the maistris of werkis, and to rente gadereris of the puple,

അന്നു ഫറവോൻ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാരോടും പ്രമാണികളോടും കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ:

7 and seide, Ye schulen no more yyue stre to the puple, to make tijl stoonys as bifore; but go thei, and gedere stobil;

ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കുവാൻ ജനത്തിന്നു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇനി വൈക്കോൽ കൊടുക്കരുതു; അവർ തന്നേ പോയി വൈക്കോൽ ശേഖരിക്കട്ടെ.

8 and ye schulen sette on hem the mesure of tijl stoonys, which thei maden bifore, nether ye schulen abate ony thing; for thei ben idil, and therfor thei crien, and seien, Go we, and make we sacrifice to oure God;

എങ്കിലും ഇഷ്ടികയുടെ കണക്കു മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ തന്നേ അവരുടെ മേൽ ചുമത്തേണം; ഒട്ടും കുറെക്കരുതു. അവർ മടിയന്മാർ; അതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു: ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി ഞങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവത്തിന്നു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു നിലവിളിക്കുന്നതു.

9 be thei oppressid bi werkis, and fille thei tho, that thei assente not to the false wordis.

അവരുടെ വേല അതിഭാരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; അവർ അതിൽ കഷ്ടപ്പെടട്ടെ;

10 Therfor the maistris of the workis and the rente gadereris yeden out to the puple, and seiden, Thus seith Farao, Y yyue not to you stre;

അവരുടെ വ്യാജവാക്കുകൾ കേൾക്കരുതു. അങ്ങനെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാരും പ്രമാണികളും ചെന്നു ജനത്തോടു: നിങ്ങൾക്കു വൈക്കോൽ തരികയില്ല;

11 go ye, and gadere, if ye moun fynde ony where; nether ony thing schal be decreessid of youre werk.

നിങ്ങൾ തന്നേ പോയി കിട്ടുന്നേടത്തുനിന്നു വൈക്കോൽ ശേഖരിപ്പിൻ; എങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളുടെ വേലയിൽ ഒട്ടും കുറെക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഫറവോൻ കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

12 And the puple was scaterid bi al the lond of Egipt to gadre stre.

അങ്ങനെ ജനം വൈക്കോലിന്നു പകരം താളടി ശേഖരിപ്പാൻ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തു എല്ലാടവും ചിതറി നടന്നു.

13 And the maystris of werkis weren bisi, and seiden, Fille ye youre werk ech dai, as ye weren wont to do, whanne the stre was youun to you.

ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാർ അവരെ ഹേമിച്ചു: വൈക്കോൽ കിട്ടിവന്നപ്പോൾ ഉള്ളതിന്നു ശരിയായി നിങ്ങളുടെ നിത്യവേല ദിവസവും തികെക്കേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

14 And thei, that weren maistris of the werkis of the sones of Israel, weren betun of the rent gadereris of Farao, that seiden, Whi filliden ye not the mesure of tijl stoonus, as bifore, nether yistirdai nethir to dai?

ഫറവോന്റെ ഊഴിയവിചാരകന്മാർ യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കളുടെ മേൽ ആക്കിയിരുന്ന പ്രമാണികളെ അടിച്ചു: നിങ്ങൾ ഇന്നലെയും ഇന്നും മുമ്പിലത്തെപ്പോലെ ഇഷ്ടിക തികെക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

15 And the souereyns of the sonys of Israel camen, and crieden to Farao, and seiden, Whi doist thou so ayens thi seruauntis?

അതുകൊണ്ടു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പ്രമാണികൾ ചെന്നു ഫറവോനോടു നിലവിളിച്ചു; അടിയങ്ങളോടു ഇങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു?

16 Stre is not youun to vs, and tijl stoonus ben comaundid in lijk manere. Lo! we thi seruauntis ben betun with scourgis, and it is doon vniustli ayens thi puple.

അടിയങ്ങൾക്കു വൈക്കോൽ തരാതെ ഇഷ്ടിക ഉണ്ടാക്കുവിൻ എന്നു അവർ പറയുന്നു; അടിയങ്ങളെ തല്ലുന്നു; അതു നിന്റെ ജനത്തിന്നു പാപമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17 Farao seide, Ye yyuen tent to idilnesse, and therfor ye seien, Go we, and make we sacrifice to the Lord;

അതിന്നു അവൻ: മടിയന്മാരാകുന്നു നിങ്ങൾ, മടിയന്മാർ; അതുകൊണ്ടു: ഞങ്ങൾ പോയി യഹോവെക്കു യാഗം കഴിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു നിങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നു.

18 therfor go ye, and worche; stre schal not be youun to you, and ye schulen yelde the customable noumbre of tijl stoonus.

പോയി വേല ചെയ്‌വിൻ; വൈക്കോൽ തരികയില്ല, ഇഷ്ടിക കണക്കുപോലെ ഏല്പിക്കേണം താനും എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

19 And the souereyns of the children of Israel sien hem silf in yuel, for it was seid to hem, No thing schal be decreessid of tijl stoonus bi alle daies.

ദിവസംതോറുമുള്ള ഇഷ്ടികക്കണക്കിൽ ഒന്നും കുറെക്കരുതു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ തങ്ങൾ വിഷമത്തിലായി എന്നു യിസ്രായേൽമക്കളുടെ പ്രമാണികൾ കണ്ടു.

20 And thei `camen to Moises and Aaron, that stoden euene ayens, and thei `yeden out fro Farao,

അവർ ഫറവോനെ വിട്ടു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോൾ മോശെയും അഹരോനും വഴിയിൽ നില്ക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു,

21 and seiden to `Moises and Aaron, The Lord se, and deme, for ye han maad oure odour to stynke bifore Farao and hise seruauntis; and ye han youe to hym a swerd, that he schulde sle vs.

അവരോടു: നിങ്ങൾ ഫറവോന്റെയും അവന്റെ ഭൃത്യന്മാരുടെയും മുമ്പാകെ ഞങ്ങളെ നാറ്റി, ഞങ്ങളെ കൊല്ലുവാൻ അവരുടെ കയ്യിൽ വാൾ കൊടുത്തതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ നിങ്ങളെ നോക്കി ന്യായം വിധിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

22 And Moises turnede ayen to the Lord, and seide, Lord, whi hast thou turmentid this puple? why sentist thou me?

അപ്പോൾ മോശെ യഹോവയുടെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നു: കൎത്താവേ, നീ ഈ ജനത്തിന്നു ദോഷം വരുത്തിയതു എന്തു? നീ എന്നെ അയച്ചതു എന്തിന്നു?

23 For sithen Y entride to Farao, that Y schulde speke in thi name, thou hast turmentid thi puple, and hast not delyuered hem.

ഞാൻ നിന്റെ നാമത്തിൽ സംസാരിപ്പാൻ ഫറവോന്റെ അടുക്കൽ ചെന്നതു മുതൽ അവൻ ഈ ജനത്തോടു ദോഷം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ജനത്തെ നീ വിടുവിച്ചതുമില്ല എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
