Exodus 36
1 Therfor Beseleel, and Ooliab, and ech wijs man, to whiche the Lord yaf wisdom and vndurstondyng, that thei kouden worche crafteli, maden thingis that weren nedeful in to vsis of seyntuarie, and whiche the Lord comaundide to be maad.
Béséléel donc et Ooliab et tous les hommes sages auxquels le Seigneur avait donné la sagesse et l’intelligence, pour qu’ils sussent exécuter habilement, firent ce qui était nécessaire aux usages du sanctuaire, et ce qu’avait ordonné le Seigneur.
2 And whanne Moises hadde clepid hem, and ech lerned man, to whom the Lord hadde youe wisdom and kunnyng, and whiche profriden hem bi her wille to make werk,
Car lorsque Moïse les eut appelés avec tous les hommes habiles auxquels le Seigneur avait donné la sagesse et qui de leur propre mouvement s’étaient offerts pour faire l’ouvrage,
3 he bitook to hem alle the yiftis of the sones of Israel. And whanne thei weren bisi in the werk ech dai, the puple offride auowis eerli.
Il leur livra tous les dons des enfants d’Israël. Pendant qu’ils s’appliquaient avec ardeur à l’ouvrage, chaque jour au matin le peuple offrait des présents votifs.
4 Wherfor the werkmen weren compellid to come,
C’est pourquoi les ouvriers forcés de venir,
5 and thei seiden to Moises, The puple offrith more than is nedeful.
Dirent à Moïse: Le peuple offre plus qu’il n’est nécessaire.
6 Therfor Moises comaundide to be cried bi the vois of a criere, Nether man nether womman offre more ony thing in the werk of seyntuarie; and so it was ceessid fro yiftis to be offrid, for the thingis offrid sufficiden,
Moïse commanda donc qu’il fût publié par la voix du hérault: Que ni homme ni femme n’offre plus rien pour l’ouvrage du sanctuaire. Et ainsi on cessa d’offrir des présents,
7 and weren ouer abundant.
Parce que ceux qui avaient été offerts suffisaient et surabondaient.
8 And alle wise men in herte to fille the werk of the tabernacle maden ten curteyns of bijs foldid ayen, and of iacynct, and purpur, and of reed selk twies died, bi dyuerse werk, and bi the craft of many colouris.
Et tous les sages de cœur pour accomplir l’ouvrage du tabernacle, dix rideaux de fin lin retors, d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, d’écarlate deux fois teinte, d’un travail varié, et selon l’art de la tissure en diverses couleurs.
9 Of whiche curteyns oon hadde in lengthe eiyte and twenti cubitis, and foure cubitis in breede; o mesure was of alle curteyns.
Un des rideaux avait en longueur vingt-huit coudées, et en largeur quatre; il y avait une seule mesure pour tous les rideaux.
10 And he ioynede fyue curteyns oon to anothir, and he couplide othere fyue to hem silf to gidere;
Il joignit cinq rideaux l’un à l’autre, et il attacha les cinq autres ensemble.
11 and he made handlis of iacynt in the hemme of o curteyn on euer either side,
il fit aussi des lacs d’hyacinthe au bord d’un rideau des deux côtés, et pareillement au bord d’un autre rideau,
12 and in lijk maner in the hemme of the tother curteyn, that the handlis schulen comen to gidere ayens hem silf, and schulen be ioyned togider;
Afin que les lacs vinssent l’un contre l’autre, et qu’ils se joignissent ensemble.
13 wherfor he yettide also fifti goldun serclis, that schulen `bite the handlis of curteyns; and o tabernacle was maad.
C’est pourquoi il fondit aussi cinquante anneaux d’or qui devaient attacher les lacs des rideaux, afin qu’il se fît un seul tabernacle.
14 `He made also enleuene saies of the heeris of geet, to hile the roof of the tabernacle;
Il fit encore onze couvertures de poils de chèvre pour couvrir le toit du tabernacle.
15 o saie hadde thretti cubitis in lengthe, foure cubitis in breede; alle the saies weren of o mesure;
Une couverture avait en longueur trente coudées, et en largeur, quatre coudées: toutes les couvertures étaient d’une seule mesure.
16 of whiche saies he ioynede fyue bi hem silf, and sixe othere bi hem silf.
Il en joignit cinq à part et les six autres séparément;
17 And he made fifti handlis in the hemme of o say, and fifti in the hemme of the tother say, that tho schulden be ioyned to hem silf to gidere; and he made fifti bokelis of bras bi whiche
Et il fit cinquante lacs au bord d’une couverture et cinquante au bord d’une autre couverture, afin qu’elles fussent jointes ensemble;
18 the roof was fastned to gidere, that oon hilyng were maad of alle the saies.
Et de plus cinquante boucles d’airain par lesquelles devait être attaché le toit, afin que de toutes les couvertures, il se fît une seule couverture.
19 He made also an hilyng of the tabernacle of the skynnes of rammes maad reed, and another veil aboue of skynnes of iacynt.
Il fit encore une couverture du tabernacle, de peaux de béliers, teintes en rouge, et par-dessus une autre couverture de peaux violettes.
20 He made also stondynge tablis of the tabernacle of the trees of Sechym;
Il fit aussi de bois de sétim les ais du tabernacle, qui se tenaient debout.
21 the lengthe of o table was of ten cubitis, and the breede helde o cubit and an half.
La longueur d’un ais était de dix coudées; et la largeur tenait une coudée et demie,
22 Twey dentyngis weren bi ech table, that the oon schulde be ioyned to the tother; so he made in al the tablis of the tabernacle.
Il y avait deux emboîtements à chaque ais, afin que l’un fût joint à l’autre. Ainsi fit-il pour tous les ais du tabernacle.
23 Of whiche tablis twenti weren at the mydday coost ayens the south,
De ces ais vingt étaient du côté méridional contre le vent du midi,
24 with fourti foundementis of siluer; twey foundementis weren set vndur o table on euer either side of the corneris, where the dentyngis of the sidis weren endid in the corneris.
Avec quarante soubassements d’argent. Deux soubassements étaient posés sous un seul ais des deux côtés des angles, où l’emboîtement des côtés se termine dans les angles.
25 And at the coost of the tabernacle that biholdith to the north he made twenti tablis,
Et aussi pour le côté du tabernacle, qui regarde l’aquilon, il fit vingt ais,
26 with fourti foundementis of siluer, twei foundementis bi ech table.
Avec quarante soubassements d’argent, deux soubassements pour chaque ais,
27 Forsothe ayens the west he made sixe tablis,
Mais contre l’occident, c’est-à-dire, vers cette partie du tabernacle qui regarde la mer, il fit six ais,
28 and tweyne othere tablis bi ech corner of the tabernacle bihinde,
Et deux autres à chaque angle du tabernacle, par derrière;
29 whiche weren ioyned fro bynethe til to aboue, and weren borun in to o ioynyng to gidere; so he made on euer either part bi the corneris,
Lesquels étaient joints depuis le bas jusqu’au haut, et formaient un seul assemblage. Ainsi fit-il des deux côtés pour chaque angle;
30 that tho weren eiyte tablis to gidere, and hadden sixtene foundementis of siluer, that is, twei foundementis vndur ech table.
De manière à ce que huit ais fussent ensemble, et qu’ils eussent seize soubassements d’argent; c’est-à-dire, deux soubassements sous chaque ais.
31 He made also barris of the trees of Sechym, fyue barris to holde to gidere the tablis of o side of the tabernacle,
Il fit encore des leviers de bois de sétim, cinq pour maintenir les ais d’un côté du tabernacle,
32 and fyue othere barris to schappe to gidere the tablis of the tother side; and without these, he made fyue othere barris at the west coost of the tabernacle ayens the see.
Et cinq autres pour assujettir les ais de l’autre côté; et outre ceux-là, cinq autres leviers au côté occidental du tabernacle contre la mer.
33 He made also another barre, that schulde come bi the myddil tables fro corner til to corner.
Il fit aussi un autre levier qui passait par le milieu des ais depuis un angle jusqu’à l’autre angle.
34 Forsothe he ouergildide tho wallis of tablis, and yetide the siluerne foundementis `of tho, and he made the goldun serclis `of tho, bi whiche the barris myyten be brouyt in, and be hilide the same barris with goldun platis.
Mais les cloisons elles-mêmes des ais, il les dora, leurs soubassements d’argent ayant été fondus. Et il fit leurs cercles d’or, par lesquels les leviers pussent passer, et qu’il couvrit aussi de lames d’or.
35 He made also a veil dyuerse and departid, of iacynt, and purpur, and reed selk, and bijs foldid ayen bi werk of broiderie.
Il fit de plus le voile d’hyacinthe et de pourpre, d’écarlate et de fin Un retors, d’un ouvrage de tisseur en diverses couleurs, varié et parsemé,
36 He made also foure pileris of `the trees of Sechym, whyche pileris with the heedis he ouergildide, and yetide the siluerne foundementis `of tho.
Et quatre colonnes de bois de sétim, lesquelles il dora avec leurs chapiteaux, leurs soubassements d’argent ayant été fondus.
37 He made also in the entryng of the tabernacle a tent of iacynt, and purpur, and reed selk `and bijs foldid ayen bi the werk of a broydreie.
Il fit encore à l’entrée du tabernacle un voile d’hyacinthe, de pourpre, d’écarlate, de fin lin retors, en ouvrage de brodeur,
38 And he made fyue pileris with her heedis, whiche he hilide with gold, and he yetide the brasun foundementis `of tho, whiche he hilide with gold.
Et cinq colonnes avec leurs chapiteaux, lesquelles il couvrit d’or, et il fondit leurs bases d’airain.
