< Exodus 35 >
1 Therfor whanne al the cumpanye of the sones of Israel was gaderid, Moises seide to hem, These thingis it ben, whiche the Lord comaundide to be doon.
And Moses called together all the assembly of the sons of Israel and said unto them, —These are the things which Yahweh hath commanded to do them.
2 Sixe daies ye schulen do werk, the seuenthe dai schal be hooli to you, the sabat and reste of the Lord; he that doith werk in the sabat schal be slayn.
Six days, shall work be done, but on the seventh day, shall there be to you a holy sabbath-keeping, unto Yahweh, whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death.
3 Ye schulen not kyndle fier in alle youre dwellyng places bi the `dai of sabat.
Ye shall not kindle a fire, in any of your dwellings, —on the sabbath day.
4 And Moises seide to al the cumpeny of the sones of Israel, This is the word which the Lord comaundide, and seide,
And Moses spake unto all the assembly of the sons of Israel, saying, This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, saying,
5 Departe ye at you the firste fruytis to the Lord; ech wilful man and of redi wille offre tho to the Lord, gold, and siluer, and bras,
Take ye from among you, a heave-offering to Yahweh, every one whose heart is willing shall bring it in, even the heave-offering of Yahweh, gold and silver and bronze:
6 and iacynct, and purpur, and reed selk twies died, and bijs, heeris of geet,
and blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and goat’s-hair;
7 and skynnys of rammes maad reed, and of iacynt,
and rams’ skins dyed red, and badgers’ skins, and acacia wood;
8 trees of Sechym, and oile to liytis to be ordeyned, and that the oynement be maad, and encense moost swete,
and oil for giving light, and aromatic spices for the anointing oil, and for fragrant incense;
9 stoonus of onochyn and gemmes, to the ournyng of the `cloth on the schuldris, and of the racional.
and onyx stones and setting stones, for the ephod, and for the breastpiece.
10 Who euer of you is wijs, come he, and make that, that the Lord comaundide,
And, all the wise-hearted among you, shall come in, that they may make, all that which Yahweh hath commanded: —
11 that is, the tabernacle, and the roof therof, and the hilyng; ryngis, and bildyngis of tablis, with barris, stakis, and foundementis;
the habitation, its tent, and its covering, —its clasps its boards, and its bars its pillars, and its sockets:
12 the arke, and barris; the propiciatorie, and the veil, which is hangid byfore it;
the ark with its staves the propitiatory, and the screening veil;
13 the bord with barris, and vesselis, and with looues of settyng forth;
the table with its staves and all its utensils, and the Presence-bread:
14 the candilstike to susteyne liytis, the vesselis, and lanternes therof, and oile to the nurschyngis of fyris; the auter of encense, and the barris;
the lampstand for giving light, with its utensils, and its lamps, and the oil for giving light;
15 the oile of anoyntyng, and encense of swete smellynge spiceries; the tente at the dore of the tabernacle;
and the incense altar, with its staves, and the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense, —and the entrance screen, for the entrance of the habitation;
16 the auter of brent sacrifice, and his brasun gridele, with hise barris, and vessels; the `greet waischyng vessel, and `his foundement;
the altar for the ascending-sacrifice, and the bronze grating which pertaineth thereto, its staves and all its utensils, the laver and its stand;
17 the curteyns of the large street, with pileris and foundementis; the tente in the doris of the porche;
the hangings for the court, its pillars and its sockets, —and the screen for the gate of the court:
18 the stakis of the tabernacle and of the large street, with her coordis;
the pins of the habitation, and the pins of the court, and their cords;
19 the clothis, whose vss is in `the seruyce of seyntuarie; the clothis of Aaron bischop, and of hise sones, that thei be set in preesthod to me.
the cloths of variegated stuff for ministering in the sanctuary, —the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons for ministering as priests.
20 And al the multitude of the sones of Israel yede out of `the siyt of Moises,
So all the assembly of the sons of Israel went forth from the presence of Moses;
21 and offride with moost redi soule and deuout the firste thingis to the Lord, to make the werk of the tabernacle of witnessyng, what euer was nedeful to the ournyng, and to hooli clothis.
and they brought in—every man whose heart lifted him up, —and, every one whose spirit made him willing, brought in the heave-offering of Yahweh, for the construction of the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments.
22 Men and wymmen yauen bies of the armes, and eeryngis, ryngis, and ournementis of `the arm niy the hond; ech goldun vessel was departid in to the yiftis of the Lord.
Yea they brought in—the men with the women, —all who were willing-hearted, brought in—bracelets and nose-ornaments and rings, and buckles, all manner of jewels of gold, even every man who waved a wave-offering of gold unto Yahweh.
23 If ony man hadde iacynt, and purpur, and `reed selk twies died, bijs, and the heeris of geet, skynnes of rammes maad reed, and of iacynt,
And, every man with whom was found blue and purple and crimson and fine linen and goat’s-hair, —and rams’ skins dyed red and badgers’ skins brought them in.
24 metals of siluer, and of bras, thei offeryden to the Lord, and trees of Sechym in to dyuerse vsis.
Every one who would heave a heave-offering of silver or bronze, brought in the heave-offering of Yahweh, —and, every one with whom was found acacia wood for any construction for the service, brought it in.
25 But also wymmen tauyt yauen tho thingis, whiche thei hadden spunne, iacynt, purpur, and vermyloun,
And, all the women who were wise-hearted, with their hands, did spin, —and brought in that which they had spun—the blue, and the purple, the crimson, and the fine linen.
26 and bijs, and the heeris of geet; and yauen alle thingis by her owne fre wille.
And, all the women whose hearts lifted them up with wisdom, span the goat’s-hair.
27 Forsothe princes offeriden stoonys of onychyn and iemmes, to the `cloth on the schuldris, and to the racional, and swete smellynge spiceries,
And the princes, brought in the onyx stones and the setting stones, —for the ephod and for the breastpiece;
28 and oyle to the liytis to be ordeyned, and to make redi oynement, and to make the encense of swettist odour.
and the aromatic spices, and the oil, —for giving light, and for anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense.
29 Alle men and wymmen offeriden yiftis with deuout soule, that the werkis schulden be maad, whiche the Lord comaundide bi the hond of Moyses; alle the sones of Israel halewiden wilful thingis to the Lord.
[In the case of], every male and woman whose heart, made them willing, to bring in for any construction which, Yahweh had commanded them to make, by the hand of Moses, [in their case] did the sons of Israel bring in a free-will offering unto Yahweh.
30 And Moises seide to the sones of Israel, Lo! the Lord hath clepid Beseleel bi name, the sone of Hury, sone of Hur, of the lynage of Juda;
And Moses said unto the sons of Israel—See! Yahweh hath called by name, —Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah;
31 and the Lord hath fillid hym with the spirit of God, of wisdom, and of vndurstondyng, and of kunnyng, and with al doctryn,
and filled him with the spirit of God, —in, wisdom in understanding and in knowledge, and in all manner of execution;
32 to fynde out and to make werk in gold, and siluer, and bras, and in stoonys to be grauun,
to devise skilful designs, —to work in gold and in silver and in bronze;
33 and in werk of carpentrie; what euer thing may be foundun craftili,
and in the cutting of stones for setting, and in the cutting of wood, —to work in any manner of skilful workmanship,
34 the Lord yaf in his herte; and the Lord clepide Ooliab, the sone of Achymasech, of the lynage of Dan;
To teach also, hath he put in his heart, [the heart of] him, and of Oholiab—son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan;
35 the Lord tauyte bothe `with wisdom, that thei make the werkis of carpenter, of steynour, and of broiderere, of iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk, and of bijs, and that thei make alle thingis, and fynde alle newe thingis.
hath filled them with wisdom of heart to work all manner of workmanship of cutter, and deviser and embroiderer, in blue and in purple, in crimson and in fine linen and of the weaver, —workers of any manner of workmanship, and devisers of skilful designs.
