Exodus 32
1 Forsothe the puple siy, that Moises made tariyng to come doun fro the hil, and it was gaderid ayens Aaron, and seide, Rise thou, and make goddis to vs, that schulen go bifore vs, for we witen not what bifelde to this Moises, that ladde vs out of the lond of Egipt.
Midőn látta a nép, hogy Mózes késlekedik lejönni a hegyről, összegyülekezett a nép Áron körül és mondták neki: Kelj fel, készíts nekünk Istent, aki járjon előttünk, mert ez a férfiú, Mózes, aki felhozott bennünket Egyiptom országából – nem tudjuk, mi történt vele.
2 And Aaron seide to hem, Take ye the goldun eere ryngis fro the eeris of youre wyues, and of sones and douytris, and brynge ye to me.
És mondta nekik Áron: Szedjétek le az arany függőket, melyek nejeitek, fiaitok és leányaitok füleiben vannak és hozzátok el hozzám.
3 The puple dide tho thingis, that he comaundide, and brouyte eere ryngis to Aaron;
És leszedte magáról az egész nép az arany függőket, melyek füleikben voltak és elhozták Áronhoz.
4 and whanne he hadde take tho, he formede bi `werk of yetyng, and made of tho a yotun calf. And thei seiden, Israel, these ben thi goddis, that ladde thee out of the lond of Egipt.
Ő elvette kezükből és alakította azt a vésővel és csinált belőle öntött borjút; és ők mondták: Ez a te Istened Izrael, aki felhozott téged Egyiptom országából.
5 And whanne Aaron had seyn this thing, he bildide an auter bifore hym, and he criede bi the vois of a criere, and seide, To morewe is the solempnete of the Lord.
Midőn Áron látta, oltárt épített előtte; és kikiáltotta Áron, mondván: Ünnep lesz az Örökkévalónak holnap.
6 And thei rysen eerli, and offeriden brent sacrifyces, and pesible sacrifices; and the puple sat to ete and drynke, and thei risen to pley.
És korán felkeltek másnap és hoztak égőáldozatokat és odavittek békeáldozatokat; és leült a nép enni és inni, azután fölkerekedtek mulatozni.
7 Forsothe the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Go thou, go doun, thi puple hath synned, `whom thou leddist out of the lond of Egipt.
És szólt az Örökkévaló Mózeshez: Eredj, menj le, mert elromlott a te néped, melyet felhoztál Egyiptom országából.
8 Thei yeden awei soone fro the weie which thou schewidst to hem, and thei maden to hem a yotun calf, and worschipyden it, and thei offeriden sacrifices to it, and seiden, Israel, these ben thi goddis, that ledden thee out of the lond of Egipt.
Letértek hamar az útról, melyet parancsoltam nekik, csináltak maguknak öntött borjút, leborultak előtte és áldoztak neki, mondván: Ez a te Istened Izrael, aki felhozott téged Egyiptom országából.
9 And eft the Lord seide to Moises, Y se, that this puple is of hard nol;
És mondta az Örökkévaló Mózesnek: Láttam ezt a népet és íme kemény nyakú nép az.
10 suffre thou me, that my woodnesse be wrooth ayens hem, and that Y do awey hem; and Y schal make thee in to a greet folk.
Azért most hagyj engem, hogy felgerjedjen haragom ellenük és elpusztítsam őket és tegyelek téged nagy néppé!
11 Forsothe Moises preiede `his Lord God, and seide, Lord, whi is thi veniaunce wrooth ayens thi puple, whom thou leddist out of the lond of Egipt in greet strengthe and in stronge hond?
De Mózes könyörgött az Örökkévaló, az ő Istene színe előtt és mondta: Miért; oh Örökkévaló gerjedjen fel haragod néped ellen, melyet kihoztál Egyiptom országából nagy erővel és hatalmas kézzel?
12 Y biseche, that Egipcians seie not, he ledde hem out felli, `that he schulde sle in the hillis, and to do awei fro erthe, thin ire ceesse, and be thou quemeful on the wickidnesse of thi puple.
Miért szóljanak az Egyiptomiak, mondván: Vesztükre hozta ki őket, hogy megölje őket a hegyek között és elpusztítsa őket a föld színéről; térj meg haragod felgerjedéséből és gondold meg a népednek szánt veszedelmet.
13 Haue thou mynde of Abraham, of Ysaac, and of Israel, thi seruauntis, to whiche thou hast swore bi thi silf, and seidist, Y schal multiplie youre seed as the sterris of heuene, and Y schal yyue to youre seed al this lond of which Y spak, and ye schulen welde it euere.
Emlékezzél meg Ábrahámról, Izsákról és Izraelről, a te szolgáidról, akiknek megesküdtél magadra és szóltál hozzájuk: Megsokasítom magzatotokat, mint az ég csillagait és ezt az egész országot, amelyről szóltam, odaadom magzatotoknak, hogy bírják örökre.
14 And the Lord was plesid, that he dide not the yuel which he spak ayens his puple.
És az Örökkévaló meggondolta a veszedelmet, amelyről szólt, hogy cselekszi az ő népével.
15 And Moises turnede ayen fro the hil, and bar in his hond twei tablis of witnessyng, writun in euer either side,
És megfordult és lement Mózes a hegyről és a bizonyság két táblája a kezében; táblák, beírva mindkét oldalukon, innen és onnan beírva,
16 and maad bi the werk of God; and the writyng of God was grauun in tablis.
És a táblák, Isten műve azok és az írás; Isten írása az, bevésve a táblákba.
17 Forsothe Josue herde the noise of the puple criynge, and seide to Moyses, Yellyng of fiytyng is herd in the castels.
És Józsua hallotta a nép hangját, amint rivalgott és mondta Mózesnek: Háború hangja van a táborban!
18 To whom Moises answeride, It is not cry of men exitynge to batel, nether the cry of men compellynge to fleyng, but Y here the vois of syngeris.
De ő mondta: Nem a győzelemkiáltás hangja ez és nem a vereségkiáltás hangja az; karének hangját hallom én.
19 And whanne he hadde neiyid to the castels, he siy the calf, and dauncis; and he was wrooth greetli, and `castide forth the tablis fro the hond, and brak tho at the rootis of the hil.
És volt, midőn közeledett a táborhoz és látta a borjút és a táncot, akkor felgerjedt Mózes haragja, ledobta kezeiből a táblákat és összetörte azokat a hegy alján.
20 And he took the calf, which thei hadden maad, and brente, and brak `til to poudur, which he spreynte in to watir, and yaf therof drynke to the sones of Israel.
És vette a borjút, amelyet csináltak, elégette a tűzben és megőrölte, míg nem finom lett; elszórta a víz színére és megitatta Izrael fiait.
21 And Moises seide to Aaron, What dide this puple to thee, that thou brouytist in on hym the gretteste synne?
És mondta Mózes Áronnak: Mit tett neked ez a nép, hogy hoztál rá ilyen nagy vétket?
22 To whom he answeride, My lord, be not wrooth, for thou knowist this puple, that it is enclynaunt to yuel;
És mondta Áron: Ne gerjedjen fel uram haragja; te ismered a népet, hogy rosszra hajlik az.
23 thei seiden to me, Make thou goddis to vs, that schulen go bifore vs, for we witen not, what bifelde to this Moises, that ladde vs out of the lond of Egipt.
Ők mondták nekem: készíts nekünk Istent, aki járjon előttünk, mert ez a férfiú, Mózes, aki kivezetett bennünket Egyiptom országából – nem tudjuk mi történt vele.
24 To whiche Y seide, Who of you hath gold? Thei token, and yauen to me, and Y castide it forth in to the fier, and this calf yede out.
Én pedig mondtam nekik: Kinek van aranya? Szedjétek le magatokról – és odaadták nekem; én meg beledobtam a tűzbe és kijött ez a borjú.
25 Therfor Moyses siy the puple, that it was maad bare; for Aaron hadde spuylid it for the schenschip of filthe, and hadde maad the puple nakid among enemyes.
És Mózes látta a népet, hogy elvadult, mert elvadította Áron, gyalázatukra elleneiknél.
26 And Moises stood in the yate of the castels, and seide, If ony man is of the Lord, be he ioyned to me; and alle the sones of Leuy weren gaderid to hym.
És megállt Mózes a tábor kapujában és mondta: Aki az Örökkévalóé, ide hozzám! És odagyülekeztek hozzá Lévi minden fiai.
27 To whiche he seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, A man putte swerd on his hipe, go ye, and `go ye ayen fro yate `til to yate bi the myddil of the castels, and ech man sle his brother, freend, and neiybore.
És mondta nekik: Így szól az Örökkévaló, Izrael Istene: Kössétek fel kiki kardját a csípőjére és menjetek oda és vissza, kapuról kapura a táborban és öljétek meg, kiki az ő testvérét, kiki az ő felebarátját, kiki az ő rokonát.
28 The sones of Leuy diden bi the word of Moises, and as thre and twenti thousynd of men felden doun in that day.
És Lévi fiai cselekedtek Mózes szava szerint; és elesett a népből az nap mintegy háromezer ember.
29 And Moises seide, Ye han halewid youre hondis to dai to the Lord, ech man in his sone, and brother, that blessyng be youun to you.
És mondta Mózes: Töltsétek meg kezeiteket ma az Örökkévalónak, mert kiki az ő fia és testvére ellen lesz, hogy hozzatok magatokra ma áldást.
30 Sotheli whanne `the tother day was maad, Moises spak to the puple, Ye han synned the moost synne; Y schal stie to the Lord, if in ony maner Y schal mowe biseche hym for youre felony.
Volt pedig másnap, mondta Mózes a népnek: Ti nagy vétket követtetek el; azért most felmegyek az Örökkévalóhoz, talán engesztelést szerezhetek vétketekért.
31 And he turnede ayen to the Lord, and seide, Lord, Y biseche, this puple hath synned a greet synne, and thei han maad goldun goddis to hem; ethir foryyue thou this gilt to hem,
Mózes tehát visszatért az Örökkévalóhoz és mondta: Oh kérlek, ez a nép nagy vétket követett el, készítettek maguknak arany istent.
32 ether if thou doist not, do awey me fro thi book, which thou hast write.
Azért most, ha megbocsátod vétküket – ha pedig nem, törölj ki engem, kérlek, könyvedből, amelyet írtál.
33 To whom the Lord answeride, Y schal do awey fro my book hym that synneth ayens me;
És az Örökkévaló mondta Mózesnek: Aki ellenem vétkezett, azt fogom kitörölni könyvemből.
34 forsothe go thou, and lede this puple, whydur Y spak to thee; myn aungel schal go bifore thee; forsothe in the day of veniaunce Y schal visite also this synne of hem.
És most menj, vezesd a népet, ahova mondtam neked, íme angyalom jár előtted; és amely napon büntetek, megbüntetem őket vétkükért.
35 Therfor the Lord smoot the puple for the gilt of the calf, which calf Aaron made.
Ha az Örökkévaló sújtotta a népet, mivelhogy készítették a borjút, melyet készített Áron.
