Exodus 30
1 Also thou schalt make an auter of the trees of Sechym, to brenne encense;
Nog moet ge een altaar vervaardigen, om wierook te offeren. Ge moet dat van acaciahout maken,
2 and the auter schal haue a cubit of lengthe, and another cubit of brede, that is foure cornerid, and twei cubitis in heiythe; corneris schulen come forth of the auter.
een el lang en een el breed, dus vierkant, en twee ellen hoog; zijn hoornen moeten er één geheel mee uitmaken.
3 And thou schalt clothe it with clennest gold, as wel the gridil therof, as the wallis and corneris bi cumpas therof; and thou schalt make to the auter a litil goldun coroun,
Ge moet het met zuiver goud overtrekken, zowel het bovenvlak, als alle zijkanten en de hoornen, en loofwerk van goud er omheen maken.
4 `bi cumpas, and twei goldun serclis vndur the coroun by alle sidis, that barris be put in to the serclis, and the auter be borun.
Onder dat loofwerk moet ge aan weerskanten twee gouden krammen aanbrengen, die dienen voor de handbomen, waarmee het gedragen wordt.
5 Also thou schalt make tho barris of the trees of Sechym, and thou schalt ouergilde;
Die handbomen moet ge van acaciahout maken, en met goud beslaan.
6 and thou schalt sette the auter ayens the veil, which veil hangith bifor the ark of witnessyng bifor the propiciatorie, bi which the witnessyng is hilid, where Y schal speke to thee.
Gij moet het voor het voorhangsel plaatsen, dat voor de ark des Verbonds en het verzoendeksel boven de verbondswet hangt, waar Ik Mij aan u zal openbaren.
7 And Aaron schal brenne theronne encense smellynge swetly eerli; whanne he schal araye the lanternes, he schal brenne it;
Iedere morgen, wanneer Aäron de lampen in orde brengt, moet hij daarop geurige wierook branden;
8 and whanne he settith the lanternes at euentid, he schal brenne euerlastynge encense bifor the Lord, in to youre generaciouns.
en eveneens wanneer hij tegen de avond de lampen ontsteekt. Het moet een bestendig reukoffer zijn voor het aanschijn van Jahweh van geslacht tot geslacht.
9 Ye schulen not offre theronne encense of other makyng, nethir offryng, and slayn sacrifice, nether ye schulen offre fletynge offryngis thereonne.
Ge moogt daarop geen andere wierook offeren, dan die is voorgeschreven, noch daarop brand en spijsoffers brengen, of plengoffers daarop uitgieten.
10 And Aaron schal preie on the corneres therof onis bi the yeer, in the blood which is offrid for synne, and he schal plese theronne in youre generaciouns; it schal be the hooli of hooli thingis to the Lord.
Eenmaal per jaar moet Aäron de verzoeningsplechtigheid verrichten voor de hoornen; met het bloed van het zondeoffer ter verzoening zal hij dat eens per jaar doen. Zo zal het hoogheilig zijn voor Jahweh van geslacht tot geslacht.
11 And the Lord spak to Moises,
Jahweh vervolgde tot Moses:
12 and seide, Whanne thou schalt take the summe of the sones of Israel, alle bi hem silf schulen yyue `bi the noumbre prijs for her soulis to the Lord, and veniaunce schal not be in hem, whanne thei ben noumbrid.
Wanneer ge de Israëlieten monstert en ze hoofd voor hoofd telt, moet ieder van hen bij de monstering aan Jahweh een losprijs voor zijn leven betalen, opdat geen ramp hen bij de monstering mag treffen.
13 Sotheli ech that passith to the name, schal yyue this, half a sicle bi the mesure of the temple; a sicle hath twenti halpens; the myddil part of a cicle schal be offrid to the Lord.
Dit moet iedereen geven, die op de monsterrol komt: een halve sikkel volgens het heilig gewicht, met twintig gera’s in een sikkel; die halve sikkel is een belasting voor Jahweh.
14 He that is hadde in noumbre, fro twenti yeer and aboue,
Iedereen die op de monsterrol komt en twintig jaar oud is of meer, moet deze belasting voor Jahweh betalen.
15 schal yyue prijs; a riche man schal not adde to the myddil of cicle, and a pore man schal no thing abate.
De rijke zal niet meer en de arme niet minder dan een halve sikkel betalen, als belasting voor Jahweh, en als losprijs voor uw leven.
16 And thou schalt bitake in to vsis of the tabernacle of witnessyng the money takun, which is gaderid of the sones of Israel, that it be the mynde of hem bifor the Lord, and he schal be merciful to `the soulis of hem.
Gij zult het losgeld van Israëls zonen voor de dienst van de tabernakel gebruiken; maar het zal tevens dienen om Israëls kinderen bij Jahweh in gedachtenis te houden, en tot een losprijs voor uw leven.
17 And the Lord spak to Moises,
Nog sprak Jahweh tot Moses:
18 and seide, Also thou schalt make a greet vessil of bras with his foundement to waische, and thou schalt sette it bitwixe the tabernacle of witnessyng and the auter `of brent sacrifices; and whanne watir is put therynne,
Maak ook een bronzen wasbekken met een onderstel van brons, plaats het tussen de openbaringstent en het altaar en vul het met water.
19 Aaron and hise sones schulen waische therynne her hondis and feet,
Met dit water moeten Aäron en zijn zonen hun handen en voeten wassen.
20 whanne thei schulen entre in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, and whanne thei schulen neiye to the auter that thei offre therynne encense to the Lord,
Wanneer zij de openbaringstent binnengaan, moeten zij zich met het water afwassen, op straffe des doods; of wanneer zij tot het altaar willen naderen, om hun dienst te verrichten door een vuurofffer voor Jahweh te branden,
21 lest perauenture thei dien; it schal be a lawful thing euerlastinge to hym and to his seed bi successiouns.
moeten zij handen en voeten wassen, op straffe des doods. Dit is voor hen een eeuwige wet, voor hem en zijn nazaat tot in het verste geslacht.
22 And the Lord spak to Moises,
Nog sprak Jahweh tot Moses:
23 and seide, Take to thee swete smellynge spiceries, of the firste and chosun myrre, fyue hundrid siclis; and of canel the half, that is, twei hundrid and fifti siclis;
Voorzie u van de kostbaarste specerijen: vijfhonderd sikkels vloeibare myrrhe en half zoveel, dus tweehonderd vijftig sikkels geurige kaneel, tweehonderd vijftig sikkels geurige kalmus,
24 in lijk maner of calamy twei hundrid and fifti siclis; also of casia fyue hundrid siclis, in the weiyte of seyntuarie; oile of olyue trees, the mesure hyn;
en vijf honderd sikkels laurier; alles volgens het heilig gewicht. Voeg er een hin olijfolie aan toe,
25 and thou schalt make the hooly oile of anoyntyng, an oynement maad bi the werk of a `makere of oynement.
en bereid daarvan de heilige zalfolie. Een geurig mengsel moet het zijn volgens de regels der kunst; want het is de heilige zalfolie.
26 And thou schal anoynte therof the tabernacle of witnessyng, and the ark of testament, and the boord with hise vessels,
Hiermee moet ge de openbaringstent zalven, de ark des Verbonds,
27 the candilstike, and the purtenaunces therof, the auteris of encense,
de tafel met haar toebehoren, de kandelaar met alles wat erbij hoort, het reukofferaltaar,
28 and of brent sacrifice, and al the purtenaunce, that perteyneth to the ournyng of tho.
het brandofferaltaar met zijn toebehoren en het bekken met zijn onderstel.
29 And thou schalt halewe alle thingis, and tho schulen be the hooli of holi thingis; he that schal touche tho, schal be halewid.
Daardoor zult ge ze wijden, zodat ze hoogheilig worden, en iedereen, die ze aanraakt, als iets heiligs zal worden behandeld.
30 Thou schalt anoynte Aaron, and hise sones, and thou schalt halewe hem, that thei be set in presthod to me.
Ook Aäron en zijn zonen zult ge er mee zalven, en hen wijden, om mijn priesters te zijn.
31 And thou schalt seie to the sones of Israel, This oile of anoyntyng schal be hooli to me in to youre generaciouns.
Maar tot de Israëlieten zult ge zeggen: Dit zal voor Mij de heilige zalfolie zijn van geslacht tot geslacht.
32 The fleisch of man schal not be anoyntid therof, and bi the makyng therof ye schulen not make another, for it is halewid, and it schal be hooli to you.
Ge moogt ze niet over het lichaam van gewone mensen uitgieten, en zelfs in deze verhouding geen andere bereiden; want ze is heilig en ook voor u moet ze heilig zijn.
33 What euer man makith sich oile, and yyueth therof to an alien, he schal be `destried fro his puple.
Iedereen dus, die een soortgelijk mengsel bereidt of het aan een leek durft geven, zal van zijn volk worden afgesneden.
34 Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Take to thee swete smellynge spyceries, stacten, and onyca, galban of good odour, and pureste encense, alle schulen be of euene weiyte.
Nog sprak Jahweh tot Moses: Voorzie u van geurige specerijen; van amber, kruidnagel en gom, van kruiden en zuivere hars, alles in gelijke hoeveelheid.
35 And thou schal make encence, maad by werk of oynement makere, meddlid diligentli, and pure, and moost worthi of halewyng.
Ge moet daarvan volgens de regels der kunst een geurige wierook bereiden, met wat zout gemengd, zuiver en heilig.
36 And whanne thou hast powned alle thingis in to smalleste poudre, thou schalt putte therof bifor the tabernacle of witnessyng, in which place Y schal appere to thee; encense schal be to you the hooli of hooli thingis.
Hier moet ge telkens wat van afnemen, het tot poeder wrijven en voor de ark des Verbonds in de openbaringstent brengen, waar Ik Mij aan u zal openbaren. Hij moet hoogheilig voor u zijn.
37 Ye schulen not make siche a makyng in to youre vsis, for it is hooli to the Lord.
Als ge wierook voor u zelf wilt maken, moogt ge die niet in deze verhouding bereiden; ge moet hem als iets heiligs voor Jahweh beschouwen.
38 What euer man makith a lijk thing, that he vse the odour therof, he schal perische fro his puple.
Iedereen, die iets dergelijks maakt, om van zijn geur te genieten, zal van zijn volk worden afgesneden.
