Exodus 3
1 Forsothe Moises kepte the scheep of Jetro, `his wyues fadir, preest of Madian; and whanne he hadde dryue the floc to the ynnere partis of deseert, he cam to Oreb, the hil of God.
OR Mosè pasturava la greggia di Ietro, sacerdote di Madian, suo suocero; e guidando la greggia dietro al deserto, pervenne alla montagna di Dio, ad Horeb.
2 Forsothe the Lord apperide to hym in the flawme of fier fro the myddis of the buysch, and he seiy that the buysch brente, and was not forbrent.
E l'Angelo del Signore gli apparve in una fiamma di fuoco, di mezzo un pruno. Ed egli riguardò, ed ecco, il pruno ardea in fuoco, e pure il pruno non si consumava.
3 Therfor Moyses seide, Y schal go and schal se this greet siyt, whi the buysch is not forbrent.
E Mosè disse: Or andrò là, e vedrò questa gran visione, per qual cagione il pruno non si bruci.
4 Sotheli the Lord seiy that Moises yede to se, and he clepide Moises fro the myddis of the buysch, and seide, Moyses! Moises! Which answeride, Y am present.
E il Signore vide ch'[egli] era andato là fuor di via, per veder [quella visione]. E Iddio lo chiamò di mezzo il pruno, e disse: Mosè, Mosè. Ed egli rispose: Eccomi.
5 And the Lord seide, Neiye thou not hidur, but vnbynde thou the scho of thi feet, for the place in which thou stondist is hooli lond.
E [Iddio gli] disse: Non appressarti in qua; tratti le scarpe da' piedi, perciocchè il luogo, sopra il quale tu stai, è terra santa.
6 And the Lord seide, Y am God of thi fadir, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob. Moises hidde his face, for he durste not biholde ayens God.
Poi disse: Io [son] l'Iddio di tuo padre, l'Iddio di Abrahamo, l'Iddio d'Isacco, e l'Iddio di Giacobbe. E Mosè si nascose la faccia; perciocchè egli temeva di riguardar verso Iddio.
7 To whom the Lord seide, Y seiy the affliccion of my puple in Egipt, and Y herde the cry therof, for the hardnesse of hem that ben souereyns of werkis.
E il Signore disse: Ben ho veduta l'afflizion del mio popolo, ch' [è] in Egitto, ed ho udite le lor grida, per cagion dei loro esattori; perciocchè io ho presa conoscenza delle sue doglie.
8 And Y knew the sorewe of the puple, and Y cam down to delyuere it fro the hondis of Egipcians, and lede out of that lond in to a good lond and brood, into a lond that flowith with milk and hony, to the places of Cananey, and of Ethei, of Amorrey, and of Feresei, of Euey, and of Jebusei.
E sono sceso per riscuoterlo dalle mani degli Egizj, e per farlo salir da quel paese in un paese buono e largo; in un paese stillante latte e miele; nel luogo de' Cananei, deg'Hittei, degli Amorrei, dei Ferezei, degl'Hivvei, e de' Gebusei.
9 Therfor the cry of the sones of Israel cam to me, and Y seiy the turment of hem, bi which thei ben oppressid of Egipcians.
Ora dunque, ecco, le grida de' figliuoli d'Israele son pervenute a me, ed anche ho veduta l'oppressione, con la quale gli Egizj li oppressano.
10 But come thou, I schal sende thee to Farao, that thou lede out my puple, the sones of Israel, fro Egipt.
Perciò, vieni ora, ed io ti manderò a Faraone, e tu trarrai fuor di Egitto il mio popolo, i figliuoli d'Israele.
11 And Moises seide to hym, Who am Y, that Y go to Farao, and lede out the sones of Israel fro Egipt?
E Mosè disse a Dio: Chi [sono] io, che io vada a Faraone, e tragga fuor di Egitto i figliuoli d'Israele?
12 And the Lord seide to Moises, Y schal be with thee, and thou schalt haue this signe, that Y haue sent thee, whanne thou hast led out my puple fro Egipt, thou schalt offre to God on this hil.
E [Iddio gli] disse! [Va' pure]; perciocchè io sarò teco; e questo ti [sarà per] segno che io ti ho mandato. Quando tu avrai tratto fuor di Egitto il popolo, voi servirete a Dio sopra questo monte.
13 Moises seide to God, Lo! Y schal go to the sones of Israel, and Y schal seie to hem, God of youre fadris sente me to you; if thei schulen seie to me, what is his name, what schal Y seie to hem?
E Mosè disse a Dio: Ecco, [quando] io sarò venuto a' figliuoli d'Israele, e avrò lor detto: L'Iddio de' vostri padri mi ha mandato a voi, se essi mi dicono: Qual'[è] il suo nome? che dirò io loro?
14 The Lord seide to Moises, Y am that am. The Lord seide, Thus thou schalt seie to the sones of Israel, He that is sente me to you.
E Iddio disse a Mosè: IO SON COLUI CHE SONO; poi disse: Così dirai ai figliuoli d'Israele: [Colui che si chiama] IO SONO, m'ha mandato a voi.
15 And eft God seide to Moises, Thou schalt seie these thingis to the sones of Israel, The Lord God of youre fadris, God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, sente me to you; this name is to me with outen ende, and this is my memorial in generacioun and in to generacioun.
Iddio disse ancora a Mosè: Così dirai a' figliuoli d'Israele: Il Signore Iddio de' padri vostri, l'Iddio di Abrahamo, e l'Iddio d'Isacco, e l'Iddio di Giacobbe, mi ha mandato a voi; questo [è] il mio Nome in eterno e questa [è] la mia ricordanza per ogni età.
16 Go thou, gadere thou the eldere men, that is, iugis, of Israel, and thou schalt seie to hem, The Lord God of youre fadris apperide to me, God of Abraham, and God of Ysaac, and God of Jacob, and seide, Y visitynge haue visitid you, and Y seiy alle thingis that bifelden to you in Egipt;
Va', e raduna gli Anziani d'Israele, e di' loro: Il Signore Iddio de' vostri padri, l'Iddio di Abrahamo, d'Isacco, e di Giacobbe, mi è apparito, dicendo: Certamente io vi ho visitati, e [ho veduto] ciò che vi si fa in Egitto.
17 and Y seide, that Y lede out you fro the affliccioun of Egipt in to the lond of Cananey, and of Ethei, and of Amorrei, and of Ferezei and of Euei, and of Jebusei, to the lond flowynge with mylk and hony.
E ho detto: Io vi trarrò fuor dell'afflizione di Egitto, [e vi condurrò] nel paese de' Cananei, degl'Hittei, degli Amorrei, de' Ferezei, degl'Hivvei, e de' Gebusei; in un paese stillante latte e miele.
18 And thei schulen here thi vois; and thou schalt entre, and the eldere men of Israel to the kyng of Egipt, and thou schalt seie to hym, The Lord God of Ebrews clepide vs; we schulen go the weie of thre daies in to wildirnesse, that we offre to oure Lord God.
Ed essì ubbidiranno alla tua voce; e tu, con gli Anziani d'Israele, entrerai dal re di Egitto, e voi gli direte: Il Signore Iddio degli Ebrei ci ha incontrati; deh! [lascia] dunque ora che andiamo tre giornate di cammino nel deserto, e che sacrifichiamo al Signore Iddio nostro.
19 But Y woot, that the kyng of Egipt schal not delyuere you that ye go, but bi strong hond;
Or io so che il re di Egitto non vi concederà l'andare, se non [isforzato] con potente mano.
20 for Y schal holde forthe myn hond, and I schal smyte Egipt in alle my marueils, whiche Y schal do in the myddis of hem; aftir these thingis he schal delyuere you.
Ed io stenderò la mia mano, e percuoterò l'Egitto con tutte le mie maravigliose opere, che io farò in mezzo di esso. Dopo ciò egli vi lascerà andare.
21 And Y schal yyue grace to this puple bifore Egipcians, and whanne ye schulen go out, ye schulen not go out voide;
E allora metterò in grazia questo popolo inverso gli Egizj; e avverrà che, quando voi ve ne andrete, non ve ne andrete vuoti.
22 but a womman schal axe of hir neiyboresse and of her hoosteesse siluerne vesselis, and goldun, and clothis, and ye schulen putte tho on youre sones and douytris, and ye schulen make nakid Egipt.
Anzi, ciascuna donna chiederà alla sua vicina, e alla sua albergatrice, vasellamenti di argento, e vasellamenti di oro, e vestimenti; e voi metterete quelli addosso a' vostri figliuoli, e alle vostre figliuole; e [così] spoglierete gli Egizj.
