Exodus 29
1 But also thou schalt do this, that thei be sacrid to me in preesthod; take thou a calf of the droue, and twei rammes with out wem,
"Or, voici comment tu procéderas à leur égard, pour les consacrer à mon sacerdoce: prends un jeune taureau et deux béliers sans défaut;
2 and therf looues, and a cake with out sour dow, whiche be spreynt to gidere with oile, and therf paast sodun in watir, `bawmed, ether fried, with oile; thou schalt make alle thingis of whete flour,
puis des pains azymes, des gâteaux azymes pétris avec de l’huile et des galettes azymes ointes d’huile; tu les feras de la plus pure farine de froment.
3 and thou schalt offre tho put in a panyere. Forsothe thou schal presente the calfe,
Tu les mettras dans une même corbeille et les présenteras dans cette corbeille, en même temps que le taureau et les deux béliers
4 and twey rammes, and Aaron and his sones, at the dore of tabernacle of witnessyng; and whanne thou hast waische the fadir and the sones in watir,
Tu feras avancer Aaron et ses fils à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation et tu les feras baigner.
5 thou schalt clothe Aaron with hise clothis, that is, the lynnen cloth, `and coote, and the cloth on the schuldris, `and the racional, which thou schalt bynde with a girdil.
Tu prendras les vêtements sacrés; tu feras endosser à Aaron la tunique, la robe de l’éphod, l’éphod et le pectoral et tu le ceindras de la ceinture de l’éphod.
6 And thou schalt sette the mytre on his heed, and the hooli plate on the mytre,
Puis tu placeras la tiare sur sa tête et tu assujettiras le saint diadème sur la tiare.
7 and thou schalt schede the oile of anoyntyng on his heed; and bi this custom he schal be sacrid.
Tu prendras alors l’huile d’onction, que tu répandras sur sa tète, lui donnant ainsi l’onction.
8 Also thou schalt presente hise sones, and thou schalt clothe with lynnun cootis,
Puis tu feras approcher ses fils et tu les revêtiras de tuniques;
9 and thou schalt girde Aaron and hise sones with a girdil; and thou schalt sette mytris on hem; and thei schulen be my preestis bi euerlastynge religioun. After that thou hast halewid `the hondis of hem,
tu les ceindras de l’écharpe, Aaron et ses fils; tu coifferas ceux-ci de turbans et le sacerdoce leur appartiendra à titre perpétuel; c’est ainsi que tu investiras Aaron et ses fils.
10 also thou schalt presente the calf bifore the tabernacle of witnessyng; and Aaron and hise sones schulen sette hondis `on the heed therof;
Tu amèneras le taureau devant la Tente d’assignation; Aaron et ses fils imposeront leurs mains sur la tête du taureau."
11 and thou schalt sle it in the siyt of the Lord, bisidis the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng.
Puis tu l’immoleras devant le Seigneur, à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation;
12 And thou schalt take the blood of the calf, and schalt putte with thi fyngur on the corneris of the auter. Forsothe thou schalt schede the `tothir blood bisidis the foundement therof.
tu prendras de son sang, que tu appliqueras sur les cornes de l’autel avec ton doigt; et le reste du sang, tu le répandras dans le réceptacle de l’autel.
13 And thou schalt take al the fatnesse that hilith the entrailis, and the calle of the mawe, and twey kidneris, and the fatnesse which is on hem; and thou schalt offere encense on the auter.
Tu prendras alors toute la graisse qui tapisse les entrailles, la membrane du foie, les deux rognons avec leur graisse et tu feras fumer le tout sur l’autel.
14 Forsothe thou schalt brenne with out the castels the `fleischis of the calf, and the skyn, and the dung, for it is for synne.
Pour la chair du taureau, sa peau et sa fiente, tu les consumeras par le feu, hors du camp; c’est un expiatoire.
15 Also thou schalt take a ram, on whos heed Aaron and hise sones schulen sette hondis;
Tu prendras ensuite l’un des béliers; Aaron et ses fils imposeront leurs mains sur sa tête.
16 and whanne thou hast slayn that ram, thou schalt take of `his blood, and schalt schede aboute the auter.
Tu immoleras ce bélier; tu prendras son sang, dont tu aspergeras le tour de l’autel.
17 Forsothe thou schalt kitte thilk ram in to smale gobetis, and thou schalt putte hise entrailis waischun, and feet on the fleischis koruun, and on his heed;
Le bélier, tu le dépèceras par quartiers; tu laveras ses intestins et ses jambes, que tu poseras sur les quartiers et sur la tète
18 and thou schalt offre al the ram in to encence on the auter; it is an offryng to the Lord, the swettest odour of the slayn sacrifice of the Lord.
et tu feras fumer le bélier tout entier sur l’autel: c’est un holocauste au Seigneur; ce sera une odeur agréable, comme sacrifice à l’Éternel.
19 And thou schalt take the tothir ram, on whos heed Aaron and hise sones schulen sette hondis;
Alors tu prendras le second bélier; Aaron et ses fils imposeront leurs mains sur sa tête.
20 and whanne thou hast offrid that ram, thou schalt take of his blood, and schalt `putte on the last part of the riyt eere of Aaron, and of hise sones, and on the thombis of her hond; and of her riyt foot; and thou schalt schede the blood on the auter, `bi cumpas.
Tu immoleras ce bélier; tu prendras de son sang, que tu appliqueras sur le lobe de l’oreille droite d’Aaron et de celle de ses fils, sur le pouce de leur main droite et sur l’orteil de leur pied droit; tu aspergeras aussi, avec le sang, le tour de l’autel.
21 And whanne thou hast take of the blood, which is on the auter, and of oile of anoynting, thou schalt sprenge Aaron and hise clothis, the sones and her clothis. And whanne thei and the clothis ben sacrid,
Tu prendras de ce même sang resté près de l’autel, puis de l’huile d’onction; tu en feras aspersion sur Aaron et sur ses vêtements, sur ses fils et sur leurs vêtements de même; il se trouvera ainsi consacré lui et ses vêtements, ainsi que ses fils et leurs vêtements.
22 thou schalt take the ynnere fatnesse of the ram, and the tayl, and the fatnesse that hilith the entrailis, and the calle of the mawe, and twey kideneris, and the fatnesse that is on tho; and thou schalt take the riyt schuldur, for it is the ram of consecracioun;
Tu extrairas du bélier le suif, la queue, la graisse qui tapisse les entrailles, la membrane du foie, les deux rognons avec leur graisse et la cuisse droite; car c’est un bélier d’installation.
23 and thou schalt take a tendur cake of o loof, spreynd with oile, paast sodun in watir, and after fried in oile, of the panyer of therf looues, which is set in `the siyt of the Lord.
Tu prendras encore un des pains, un des gâteaux à l’huile et une galette, dans la corbeille d’azymes placée devant le Seigneur;
24 And thou schalt putte alle `thingis on the hondis of Aaron and of hise sones, and schalt halewe hem, and reise bifor the Lord.
tu poseras le tout sur les mains d’Aaron et sur celles de ses fils et tu le balanceras devant le Seigneur;
25 And thou schalt take alle thingis fro `the hondis of hem, and schalt brenne on the autir, in to brent sacrifice, `swettist odour in the siyt of the Lord, for it is the offryng of the Lord.
puis tu le reprendras de leurs mains et le feras brûler sur l’autel, à la suite de l’holocauste: parfum agréable à l’Éternel, combustion faite en son honneur.
26 Also thou schalt take the brest of the ram, bi which Aaron was halewid, and thou schalt halewe it reisid bifor the Lord; and it schal turne in to thi part.
Tu prendras la poitrine du bélier d’installation destiné à Aaron et tu la balanceras devant le Seigneur et elle deviendra ta portion.
27 And thou schalt halewe also the brest sacrid, and the schuldur which thou departidist fro the ram,
Tu consacreras ainsi cette poitrine balancée et cette cuisse prélevée (balancée et prélevée séparément du bélier d’installation destiné à Aaron et à ses fils),
28 bi which Aaron was halewid, and hise sones; and tho schulen turne in to the part of Aaron, and of hise sones, bi euerlastinge riyt, of the sones of Israel; for tho ben the firste thingis, and the bigynnyngis of the pesible sacrifices of hem, whiche thei offren to the Lord.
afin qu’elles appartiennent à Aaron et à ses fils comme redevance constante de la part des Israélites, car c’est une chose prélevée; ce sera l’offrande que les Israélites auront à prélever, sur leurs sacrifices rémunératoires, en l’honneur de l’Éternel.
29 Forsothe the sones of Aaron schulen haue aftir hym the hooli cloth, which Aaron schal vse, that thei be anoyntid ther ynne, and her hondis be sacrid.
Le costume sacré d’Aaron sera celui de ses fils après lui; c’est sous ce costume qu’on doit les oindre et les investir de leurs fonctions,
30 `Thilke, that of hise sones schal be maad bischop for hym, schal vse that cloth seuene daies, and which sone schal entre in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, that he mynystre in the seyntuarie.
Sept jours durant, ces vêtements seront portés par celui de ses fils son successeur dans le sacerdoce qui entrera dans la Tente d’assignation pour le saint ministère.
31 Sotheli thou schalt take the ram of consecracioun, and thou schalt sethe hise fleischis in the hooli place,
Puis, tu prendras le bélier d’installation, dont tu feras cuire la chair en lieu saint;
32 whiche fleischis Aaron and his sones schulen ete, and thei schulen ete the looues, that ben in the panyere, in the porche of the tabernacle of witnessyng,
et Aaron et ses fils mangeront la chair du bélier, ainsi que le pain qui est dans la corbeille, à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation.
33 that it be a pleasaunt sacrifice, and that the hondis of the offreris be halewid. An alien schal not ete of tho, for tho ben hooli.
Ils les mangeront ces mêmes offrandes qui les auront purifiés pour que s’accomplisse leur installation, pour qu’ils soient consacrés; un profane n’en pourra manger, car elles sont une chose sainte.
34 That if ony thing leeueth of the fleischis halewid, ether of the looues, til the morewtid, thou schalt brenne the relifs by fier, thou schulen not be etun, for tho ben halewid.
S’Il reste quelque chose de la chair de la victime ou des pains jusqu’au lendemain, tu consumeras ce reste par le feu; il ne sera point mangé, car c’est une chose sainte.
35 Thou schalt do on Aaron, and hise sones, alle thingis whiche I comaunde to thee. Seuene daies thou schalt sacre `the hondis of hem,
Tu agiras à l’égard d’Aaron et de ses fils, exactement comme je te l’ai prescrit; tu emploieras sept jours à leur installation.
36 and thou schalt offre a calf for synne bi ech day to clense; and thou schalt clense the auter, whanne thou hast offrid the sacrifice of clensyng, and thou schalt anoynte the auter in to halewyng.
Tu immoleras aussi, chaque jour, un taureau expiatoire en sus des expiatoires précédents et tu purifieras l’autel au moyen de cette expiation; puis tu l’oindras pour le consacrer.
37 Seuene daies thou shalt clense and halewe the auter, and it schal be the hooli of hooli thingis; ech man that schal touche it schal be halewid.
Sept jours durant, tu purifieras ainsi l’autel et le consacreras; alors l’autel sera une chose éminemment sainte, tout ce qui touchera à l’autel deviendra saint.
38 This it is, that thou schalt do in the auter, twei lambren of o yeer contynueli bi ech dai,
"Or, voici ce que tu offriras sur cet autel: des agneaux de première année, deux par jour, constamment.
39 o lomb in the morewtid, and the tothir in the euentid;
L’Un des agneaux tu l’offriras le matin et tu offriras le second vers le soir;
40 `thou schalt do in o lomb the tenthe part of flour spreynt with oyle, powned, that schal haue a mesure, the fourthe part of hyn, and wyn of the same mesure, to make sacrifice.
plus, un dixième de fleur de farine pétrie avec un quart de vin d’huile vierge et une libation d’un quart de vin de vin, pour ce premier agneau.
41 Sotheli thou schalt offre the tother lomb at euentid, bi the custom of the offryng at the morewtid, and bi tho thingis, whiche we seiden, in to the odour of swetnesse;
Le second agneau, tu l’offriras vers le soir; tu y joindras une oblation et une libation semblables à celles du matin, sacrifice d’odeur agréable à l’Éternel.
42 it is a sacrifice to the Lord bi euerlastynge offryng in to youre generaciouns, at the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng bifor the Lord, where Y schal ordeyne that Y speke to thee;
Tel sera l’holocauste perpétuel, offert par vos générations à l’entrée de la Tente d’assignation, devant l’Éternel, là où je vous donnerai rendez-vous, où je m’entretiendrai avec toi.
43 and there Y schal comaunde to the sones of Israel; and the auter schal be halewid in my glorie.
C’Est là que je me mettrai en rapport avec les enfants d’Israël et ce lieu sera consacré par ma majesté.
44 Y schal halewe also the tabernacle of witnessyng with the auter, and Aaron with hise sones, that thei be set in presthod to me.
Oui, je sanctifierai la Tente d’assignation et l’autel; Aaron et ses fils, je les sanctifierai aussi, pour qu’ils exercent mon ministère.
45 And Y schal dwelle in the myddis of the sones of Israel, and Y schal be God to hem;
Et je résiderai au milieu des enfants d’Israël et je serai leur Divinité.
46 and thei schulen wite, that Y am her Lord God, which ledde hem out of the lond of Egipt, that Y schulde dwelle among hem; for Y am her Lord God.
Et ils sauront que moi, l’Éternel, je suis leur Dieu, qui les ai tirés du pays d’Égypte pour résider au milieu d’eux; moi-même, l’Éternel, leur Dieu!
