Exodus 28
1 Also applie thou to thee Aaron, thi brother, with hise sones, fro the myddis of the sones of Israel, that Aaron, Nadab, and Abyu, Eleazar, and Ythamar, be set in preesthod to me.
“Con hãy tấn phong cho A-rôn, anh con, và các con trai A-rôn—Na-đáp, A-bi-hu, Ê-lê-a-sa, Y-tha-ma làm chức thầy tế lễ để họ phụng thờ Ta.
2 And thou schalt make an hooli clooth to Aaron, thi brother, in to glorie and fairenesse.
Hãy may lễ phục thánh thật trang trọng và đẹp cho A-rôn.
3 And thou schalt speke to alle wise men in herte, whiche Y haue fillid with the spirit of prudence, that thei make clothis to Aaron, in whiche he schal be halewid, and schal mynystre to me.
Hãy truyền cho tất cả những người có tài năng, những người mà Ta đã ban ơn khôn ngoan, may áo lễ cho A-rôn, để biệt riêng người cho chức vụ thánh.
4 Forsothe these schulen be the clothis, whiche thei schulen make; `thei schulen make racional, and a clooth on the schuldris, a coote, and a streyt lynnun clooth, a mytre, and a girdil; hooli cloothis to Aaron, thi brother, and to hise sones, that thei be set in preesthod to me.
Bộ áo lễ này gồm có bảng đeo ngực, ê-phót, áo dài, áo lót ngắn tay có kẻ ô vuông, khăn đội đầu và dây thắt lưng. Họ cũng sẽ may áo lễ cho anh con A-rôn, và các con trai người mặc khi họ thi hành chức vụ tế lễ cho Ta.
5 And thei schulen take gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and `reed selk twies died, and bijs;
Họ sẽ dùng vải gai mịn, chỉ kim tuyến, chỉ xanh, tím, và đỏ.”
6 forsothe thei schulen make the clooth on the schuldris of gold, and of iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen, bi broyderi werk of dyuerse colours.
“Thợ thủ công phải may Ê-phót bằng vải gai mịn, thêu kim tuyến chỉ xanh, tím, và đỏ, một cách tinh vi khéo léo.
7 It schal haue twey hemmes ioyned in euer either side of hiynessis, that tho go ayen in to oon.
Ê-phót gồm hai vạt, nối liền nhau bằng hai cầu vai.
8 Thilke weuyng, and al dyuersite of the werk schal be of gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and bijs foldis ayen.
Dây để thắt ê-phót cũng được may bằng vải gai mịn, thêu bằng các loại chỉ dùng để thêu ê-phót.
9 And thou schalt take twei stoonys of onychym, and thou schalt graue in tho the names of the sones of Israel,
Lấy hai viên bạch ngọc khắc tên của các con trai Ít-ra-ên trên đó,
10 sixe names in o stoon, and sixe othere in the tother stoon, bi the ordre of her birthe;
mỗi viên khắc sáu tên, theo thứ tự ngày sinh.
11 bi the werk of a grauere, and bi the peyntyng of a man that ourneth with gemmes thou schalt graue tho stoonys, with the names of the sones of Israel; and thou schalt enclose and cumpasse in gold.
Khắc các tên này theo lối khắc con dấu, rồi đem nhận hai viên bạch ngọc vào hai khung vàng.
12 And thou schalt sette tho stoonus in euer either side of the cloth on the schuldris, a memorial to the sones of Israel; and Aaron schal bere the names of hem bifor the Lord on euer either schuldre, for remembryng.
Gắn hai viên ngọc này trên hai vai ê-phót để làm ngọc tưởng niệm các con Ít-ra-ên. A-rôn sẽ mang tên của những người này để làm kỷ niệm trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu.
13 And thou schalt make hookis of gold,
Làm hai sợi dây chuyền bằng vàng ròng xoắn hình trôn ốc,
14 and twey litil chaynes of clenneste gold, cleuynge to hem silf togidere, whiche litil chaynes thou schalt sette in the hookis.
đem nối vào các khung vàng trên vai ê-phót.”
15 Also thou schalt make the racional of doom by werk of dyuerse colours, bi the weuyng of the cloth on the schuldre, of gold, iacynt, and purpur, of `reed silk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen.
“Bảng đeo ngực ‘Công Lý’ cũng được làm bằng vải gai mịn thêu kim tuyến và chỉ xanh, tím, và đỏ một cách tinh vi khéo léo, như cách làm ê-phót vậy.
16 It schal be foure cornerid, and double; it schal haue the mesure of a pawme of the hond, as wel in lengthe, as in breede.
Bảng này hình vuông, mỗi cạnh một gang tay, may bằng hai lớp vải.
17 And thou schalt sette ther ynne foure ordris of stoonys; in the firste ordre schal be the stoon sardius, and topazyus, and smaragdus;
Gắn bốn hàng ngọc trên bảng. Hàng thứ nhất gồm: Hồng mã não, hoàng ngọc, và ngọc lục bảo.
18 in the secunde ordre schal be charbuncle, safir, and iaspis; in the thridde ordre schal be ligurie,
Hàng thứ hai gồm: Bích ngọc, lam ngọc, và kim cương.
19 achates, and ametiste;
Hàng thứ ba gồm: Ngọc phong tín, ngọc mã não, và ngọc thạch anh tím.
20 in the fourthe ordre schal be crisolitus, onochyn, and berille; tho schulen be closid in gold, bi her ordris,
Hàng thứ tư gồm: Lục ngọc thạch, bạch ngọc, và vân ngọc. Các ngọc này đều được nhận vào khung vàng.
21 and schulen haue the names of the sones of Israel: tho schulen be graven with twelue names; al stonus bi hem silf, with the names of the sones `of Israel bi hem silf, bi twelue lynagis.
Vậy, mười hai viên ngọc tượng trưng cho mười hai đại tộc Ít-ra-ên. Tên của các đại tộc được khắc trên ngọc theo lối khắc con dấu.
22 Thou schalt make in the racional chaynes cleuynge to hem silf togidere of pureste gold,
Hãy làm hai sợi dây chuyền bằng vàng ròng xoắn hình trôn ốc.
23 and thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in euer either hiynesse of racional.
Cũng làm hai khoen vàng, gắn vào hai góc của bảng đeo ngực.
24 And thou schalt ioyne the goldun chaynes with the ryngis that ben in the brynkis therof,
Mỗi dây chuyền có một đầu nối với hai khoen vàng này
25 and thou schalt couple the `last thingis of tho chaynes to twey hookis in euer either side of the `cloth on the schuldur, that biholdith the racional.
và một đầu nối với góc ngoài của hai khung vàng có nhận hai viên bạch ngọc trên vai ê-phót.
26 And thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in the hiynesses of the racional, and in the hemmes of the cloth on the schuldur, that ben euene ayens, and biholden the lattere thingis therof.
Làm thêm bốn khoen vàng, hai khoen gắn ở góc trong, bên dưới của bảng đeo ngực.
27 Also and thou schalt make tweyne othere goldun ryngis, that schulen be set in euer either side of the clooth on the schuldur bynethe, that biholdith ayens the face of the lowere ioynyng, that it may be set couenabli with the `cloth on the schuldre.
Hai khoen gắn ở phía trước, phần dưới của hai cầu vai ê-phót, gần chỗ nối với vạt trước, bên trên thắt lưng.
28 And the racional be boundun bi hise ryngis with the ryngis of the `cloth on the schuldre, with a lace of iacynt, that the ioyning maad craftili dwelle, and that the racional and `cloth on the schuldre moun not be departid ech fro other.
Dùng dây màu xanh buộc bảng đeo ngực vào ê-phót tại các khoen vàng vừa kể, để cho bảng đeo ngực sẽ không rời khỏi ê-phót.
29 And Aaron schal bere the names of the sones of Israel in the racional of doom on his brest, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, a memorial bifor the Lord with outen ende.
Như vậy, khi vào Nơi Thánh, A-rôn sẽ mang trước ngực tên các đại tộc Ít-ra-ên (trên bảng đeo ngực ‘Công Lý’), để làm một kỷ niệm thường xuyên trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu.
30 Forsothe thou schalt sette in the racional of doom, techyng, and treuthe, whiche schulen be in the brest of Aaron, whanne he entrith bifor the Lord, and he schal bere the doom of the sones of Israel in his brest in the siyt of the Lord euere.
Phải gắn U-rim và Thu-mim vào bảng đeo ngực, để A-rôn đeo trước ngực mình mỗi khi vào Nơi Thánh, trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu. Vậy, A-rôn sẽ luôn luôn mang công lý cho người Ít-ra-ên mỗi khi vào cầu hỏi Chúa Hằng Hữu.”
31 And thou schalt make the coote of the `cloth on the schuldre al of iacynt,
“May áo khoác ngoài ê-phót bằng vải xanh.
32 in whos myddil aboue schal be an hood, and a wouun hemme `bi cumpas therof, as it is wont to be don in the hemmes of clothis, lest it be brokun liytli.
Giữa áo có một lỗ để tròng đầu vào như cổ của áo giáp, phải viền cổ kỹ càng cho khỏi xơ, rách.
33 Forsothe bynethe at the feet of the same coote, bi cumpas, thou schalt make as `piyn applis, of iacynt, and purpur, of `reed selk twies died, and of biis foldid ayen; while smale bellis ben medlid in the myddis,
Dùng chỉ xanh, tím, đỏ thắt trái lựu
34 so that a litil `belle of gold be and a `piyn appil, and eft another litel belle of gold and a `pyn appil.
kết dọc theo gấu áo, xen kẽ với chuông vàng.
35 And Aaron schal be clothid with that coote in the office of seruyce, that sown be herd, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, and goith out, in the siyt of the Lord; and that he die not.
A-rôn sẽ mặc áo đó mỗi khi vào Nơi Thánh phục vụ Chúa Hằng Hữu. Tiếng chuông vàng sẽ khua khi người ra vào trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu. Nếu không, người sẽ chết.
36 And thou schalt make a plate of pureste gold, in which thou schalt graue bi the werk of a grauere, the holi to the Lord.
Làm một thẻ bằng vàng ròng và khắc trên thẻ theo lối khắc con dấu như sau: ‘Thánh cho Chúa Hằng Hữu.’
37 And thou schalt bynde that plate with a lace of iacynt, and it schal be on the mytre,
Dùng dây màu xanh buộc thẻ trước khăn đội đầu của A-rôn.
38 and schal neiye the forheed of the bischop. And Aaron schal bere the wickidnessis of hem whiche the sones of Israel `offeriden, and halewiden in alle her yiftis and fre yiftis; forsothe the plate schal euere be in `his forhed, that the Lord be plesid to him.
Vậy, A-rôn sẽ luôn luôn mang thẻ ngay trước trán mình, và như thế người sẽ mang lấy trên mình những tội của người Ít-ra-ên khi họ dâng lễ vật để chuộc lỗi. Lễ vật được nhận, tội được tha, khi A-rôn mang thẻ trên trán lúc người ở trước mặt Chúa Hằng Hữu.
39 And thou schalt bynde the coot of biis, and the myter of bijs, and thou schalt make also a girdil, `bi werk of broiderye.
Dệt một áo lót ngắn tay bằng chỉ gai mịn, có kẻ ô vuông. Cũng làm một khăn đội đầu bằng vải gai mịn và một dây thắt lưng thêu.
40 Forsothe thou schalt make redi to `the sones of Aaron linnun cootis, and girdlis, and mytris, in to glorie and fairnesse.
Cũng may cho các con trai A-rôn áo dài, dây thắt lưng và khăn đội đầu cho trang trọng, lịch sự.
41 And thou schalt clothe Aaron, thi brother, with alle these, and hise sones with hym. And thou schalt sacre the hondis of alle; and thou schalt halewe hem, that thei be set in preesthood to me.
Sau khi lấy các bộ áo đó mặc cho A-rôn và các con trai người, con phải làm lễ xức dầu, tấn phong chức tế lễ thánh cho họ để họ phục vụ Ta.
42 Also thou schalt make lynnun brechis, that thei hile the fleisch of her filthe fro the reynes `til to the hipis.
Cũng nhớ may quần lót bằng vải gai để họ mặc sát vào người từ bụng đến đùi.
43 And Aaron and hise sones schulen vse tho, whanne thei schulen entre in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, ether whanne thei neiyen to the auter, that thei mynystren in the seyntuarie, lest thei ben gilti of wickidnesse, and dien; it schal be a lawful thing euerlastynge to Aaron, and to his seed after hym.
A-rôn và các con trai người phải mặc quần này mỗi khi vào Đền Tạm hoặc đến gần bàn thờ trong Nơi Thánh; nếu không, họ sẽ mang tội và chết. Đây là một quy lệ áp dụng cho A-rôn và con cháu người mãi mãi.”
