< Exodus 28 >
1 Also applie thou to thee Aaron, thi brother, with hise sones, fro the myddis of the sones of Israel, that Aaron, Nadab, and Abyu, Eleazar, and Ythamar, be set in preesthod to me.
and you(m. s.) to present: bring to(wards) you [obj] Aaron brother: male-sibling your and [obj] son: child his with him from midst son: descendant/people Israel to/for to minister him to/for me Aaron Nadab and Abihu Eleazar and Ithamar son: child Aaron
2 And thou schalt make an hooli clooth to Aaron, thi brother, in to glorie and fairenesse.
and to make garment holiness to/for Aaron brother: male-sibling your to/for glory and to/for beauty
3 And thou schalt speke to alle wise men in herte, whiche Y haue fillid with the spirit of prudence, that thei make clothis to Aaron, in whiche he schal be halewid, and schal mynystre to me.
and you(m. s.) to speak: speak to(wards) all wise heart which to fill him spirit wisdom and to make [obj] garment Aaron to/for to consecrate: consecate him to/for to minister him to/for me
4 Forsothe these schulen be the clothis, whiche thei schulen make; `thei schulen make racional, and a clooth on the schuldris, a coote, and a streyt lynnun clooth, a mytre, and a girdil; hooli cloothis to Aaron, thi brother, and to hise sones, that thei be set in preesthod to me.
and these [the] garment which to make breastpiece and ephod and robe and tunic checkered turban and girdle and to make garment holiness to/for Aaron brother: male-sibling your and to/for son: child his to/for to minister him to/for me
5 And thei schulen take gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and `reed selk twies died, and bijs;
and they(masc.) to take: recieve [obj] [the] gold and [obj] [the] blue and [obj] [the] purple and [obj] worm [the] scarlet and [obj] [the] linen
6 forsothe thei schulen make the clooth on the schuldris of gold, and of iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen, bi broyderi werk of dyuerse colours.
and to make [obj] [the] ephod gold blue and purple worm scarlet and linen to twist deed: work to devise: design
7 It schal haue twey hemmes ioyned in euer either side of hiynessis, that tho go ayen in to oon.
two shoulder to unite to be to/for him to(wards) two end his and to unite
8 Thilke weuyng, and al dyuersite of the werk schal be of gold, and iacynt, and purpur, and of `reed selk twies died, and bijs foldis ayen.
and artwork ephod his which upon him like/as deed: work his from him to be gold blue and purple and worm scarlet and linen to twist
9 And thou schalt take twei stoonys of onychym, and thou schalt graue in tho the names of the sones of Israel,
and to take: take [obj] two stone onyx and to engrave upon them name son: child Israel
10 sixe names in o stoon, and sixe othere in the tother stoon, bi the ordre of her birthe;
six from name their upon [the] stone [the] one and [obj] name [the] six [the] to remain upon [the] stone [the] second like/as generation their
11 bi the werk of a grauere, and bi the peyntyng of a man that ourneth with gemmes thou schalt graue tho stoonys, with the names of the sones of Israel; and thou schalt enclose and cumpasse in gold.

12 And thou schalt sette tho stoonus in euer either side of the cloth on the schuldris, a memorial to the sones of Israel; and Aaron schal bere the names of hem bifor the Lord on euer either schuldre, for remembryng.
and to set: make [obj] two [the] stone upon shoulder [the] ephod stone memorial to/for son: child Israel and to lift: bear Aaron [obj] name their to/for face: before LORD upon two shoulder his to/for memorial
13 And thou schalt make hookis of gold,
and to make filigree gold
14 and twey litil chaynes of clenneste gold, cleuynge to hem silf togidere, whiche litil chaynes thou schalt sette in the hookis.
and two chain gold pure twisted to make [obj] them deed: work cord and to give: put [obj] chain [the] cord upon [the] filigree
15 Also thou schalt make the racional of doom by werk of dyuerse colours, bi the weuyng of the cloth on the schuldre, of gold, iacynt, and purpur, of `reed silk twies died, and of bijs foldid ayen.
and to make breastpiece justice: judgement deed: work to devise: design like/as deed: work ephod to make him gold blue and purple and worm scarlet and linen to twist to make [obj] him
16 It schal be foure cornerid, and double; it schal haue the mesure of a pawme of the hond, as wel in lengthe, as in breede.
to square to be to double span length his and span width his
17 And thou schalt sette ther ynne foure ordris of stoonys; in the firste ordre schal be the stoon sardius, and topazyus, and smaragdus;
and to fill in/on/with him setting stone four row stone row sardius topaz and gem [the] row [the] one
18 in the secunde ordre schal be charbuncle, safir, and iaspis; in the thridde ordre schal be ligurie,
and [the] row [the] second emerald sapphire and jasper
19 achates, and ametiste;
and [the] row [the] third jacinth agate and amethyst
20 in the fourthe ordre schal be crisolitus, onochyn, and berille; tho schulen be closid in gold, bi her ordris,
and [the] row [the] fourth jasper and onyx and jasper to weave gold to be in/on/with setting their
21 and schulen haue the names of the sones of Israel: tho schulen be graven with twelue names; al stonus bi hem silf, with the names of the sones `of Israel bi hem silf, bi twelue lynagis.
and [the] stone to be upon name son: child Israel two ten upon name their engraving signet man: anyone upon name his to be to/for two ten tribe
22 Thou schalt make in the racional chaynes cleuynge to hem silf togidere of pureste gold,
and to make upon [the] breastpiece chain twists deed: work cord gold pure
23 and thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in euer either hiynesse of racional.
and to make upon [the] breastpiece two ring gold and to give: put [obj] two [the] ring upon two end [the] breastpiece
24 And thou schalt ioyne the goldun chaynes with the ryngis that ben in the brynkis therof,
and to give: put [obj] two cord [the] gold upon two [the] ring to(wards) end [the] breastpiece
25 and thou schalt couple the `last thingis of tho chaynes to twey hookis in euer either side of the `cloth on the schuldur, that biholdith the racional.
and [obj] two end two [the] cord to give: put upon two [the] filigree and to give: put upon shoulder [the] ephod to(wards) opposite face: before his
26 And thou schalt make twei goldun ryngis, whiche thou schalt sette in the hiynesses of the racional, and in the hemmes of the cloth on the schuldur, that ben euene ayens, and biholden the lattere thingis therof.
and to make two ring gold and to set: put [obj] them upon two end [the] breastpiece upon lip: edge his which to(wards) side: beside [the] ephod house: inside [to]
27 Also and thou schalt make tweyne othere goldun ryngis, that schulen be set in euer either side of the clooth on the schuldur bynethe, that biholdith ayens the face of the lowere ioynyng, that it may be set couenabli with the `cloth on the schuldre.
and to make two ring gold and to give: put [obj] them upon two shoulder [the] ephod from to/for beneath from opposite face: before his to/for close joining his from above to/for artwork [the] ephod
28 And the racional be boundun bi hise ryngis with the ryngis of the `cloth on the schuldre, with a lace of iacynt, that the ioyning maad craftili dwelle, and that the racional and `cloth on the schuldre moun not be departid ech fro other.
and to bind [obj] [the] breastpiece (from ring his *Q(K)*) to(wards) ring [the] ephod in/on/with cord blue to/for to be upon artwork [the] ephod and not to remove [the] breastpiece from upon [the] ephod
29 And Aaron schal bere the names of the sones of Israel in the racional of doom on his brest, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, a memorial bifor the Lord with outen ende.
and to lift: bear Aaron [obj] name son: child Israel in/on/with breastpiece [the] justice: judgement upon heart his in/on/with to come (in): come he to(wards) [the] Holy Place to/for memorial to/for face: before LORD continually
30 Forsothe thou schalt sette in the racional of doom, techyng, and treuthe, whiche schulen be in the brest of Aaron, whanne he entrith bifor the Lord, and he schal bere the doom of the sones of Israel in his brest in the siyt of the Lord euere.
and to give: put to(wards) breastpiece [the] justice: judgement [obj] [the] Urim and [obj] [the] Thummim and to be upon heart Aaron in/on/with to come (in): come he to/for face: before LORD and to lift: bear Aaron [obj] justice: judgement son: descendant/people Israel upon heart his to/for face: before LORD continually
31 And thou schalt make the coote of the `cloth on the schuldre al of iacynt,
and to make [obj] robe [the] ephod entire blue
32 in whos myddil aboue schal be an hood, and a wouun hemme `bi cumpas therof, as it is wont to be don in the hemmes of clothis, lest it be brokun liytli.
and to be lip: opening head his in/on/with midst his lip: edge to be to/for lip: opening his around deed: work to weave like/as lip: opening breastplate to be to/for him not to tear
33 Forsothe bynethe at the feet of the same coote, bi cumpas, thou schalt make as `piyn applis, of iacynt, and purpur, of `reed selk twies died, and of biis foldid ayen; while smale bellis ben medlid in the myddis,
and to make upon hem his pomegranate blue and purple and worm scarlet upon hem his around and bell gold in/on/with midst their around
34 so that a litil `belle of gold be and a `piyn appil, and eft another litel belle of gold and a `pyn appil.
bell gold and pomegranate bell gold and pomegranate upon hem [the] robe around
35 And Aaron schal be clothid with that coote in the office of seruyce, that sown be herd, whanne he entrith in to the seyntuarie, and goith out, in the siyt of the Lord; and that he die not.
and to be upon Aaron to/for to minister and to hear: hear voice: sound his in/on/with to come (in): come he to(wards) [the] Holy Place to/for face: before LORD and in/on/with to come out: come he and not to die
36 And thou schalt make a plate of pureste gold, in which thou schalt graue bi the werk of a grauere, the holi to the Lord.
and to make flower gold pure and to engrave upon him engraving signet holiness to/for LORD
37 And thou schalt bynde that plate with a lace of iacynt, and it schal be on the mytre,
and to set: put [obj] him upon cord blue and to be upon [the] turban to(wards) opposite face: before [the] turban to be
38 and schal neiye the forheed of the bischop. And Aaron schal bere the wickidnessis of hem whiche the sones of Israel `offeriden, and halewiden in alle her yiftis and fre yiftis; forsothe the plate schal euere be in `his forhed, that the Lord be plesid to him.
and to be upon forehead Aaron and to lift: guilt Aaron [obj] iniquity: guilt [the] holiness which to consecrate: consecate son: descendant/people Israel to/for all gift holiness their and to be upon forehead his continually to/for acceptance to/for them to/for face: before LORD
39 And thou schalt bynde the coot of biis, and the myter of bijs, and thou schalt make also a girdil, `bi werk of broiderye.
and to weave [the] tunic linen and to make turban linen and girdle to make deed: work to weave
40 Forsothe thou schalt make redi to `the sones of Aaron linnun cootis, and girdlis, and mytris, in to glorie and fairnesse.
and to/for son: child Aaron to make tunic and to make to/for them girdle and headgear to make to/for them to/for glory and to/for beauty
41 And thou schalt clothe Aaron, thi brother, with alle these, and hise sones with hym. And thou schalt sacre the hondis of alle; and thou schalt halewe hem, that thei be set in preesthood to me.
and to clothe [obj] them [obj] Aaron brother: male-sibling your and [obj] son: child his with him and to anoint [obj] them and to fill [obj] hand: donate their and to consecrate: consecate [obj] them and to minister to/for me
42 Also thou schalt make lynnun brechis, that thei hile the fleisch of her filthe fro the reynes `til to the hipis.
and to make to/for them undergarment linen to/for to cover flesh nakedness from loin and till thigh to be
43 And Aaron and hise sones schulen vse tho, whanne thei schulen entre in to the tabernacle of witnessyng, ether whanne thei neiyen to the auter, that thei mynystren in the seyntuarie, lest thei ben gilti of wickidnesse, and dien; it schal be a lawful thing euerlastynge to Aaron, and to his seed after hym.
and to be upon Aaron and upon son: descendant/people his in/on/with to come (in): come they to(wards) tent meeting or in/on/with to approach: approach they to(wards) [the] altar to/for to minister in/on/with Holy Place and not to lift: guilt iniquity: guilt and to die statute forever: enduring to/for him and to/for seed: children his after him
