Exodus 19
1 In the thridde monethe of the goyng `of Israel out of the lond of Egipt, in this dai thei camen in to the wildirnesse of Synai;
Katika mwezi wa tatu baada ya watu wa Israeli kutoka Misri, siku hiyo, walikwenda nyikani ya Sinai.
2 for thei yeden forth fro Rafidym, and camen til in to deseert of Synai, and settiden tentis in the same place; and there Israel settide tentis, euen ayens the hil.
Walipo ondoka Refidimu na kuja nyikani ya Sinai, walieka kambi mbele ya mlima.
3 Forsothe Moises stiede in to the hil to God; and the Lord clepide hym fro the mount, and seide, Thou schalt seie these thingis to the hows of Jacob, and thou schalt telle to the sones of Israel,
Musa akaenda juu kwa Mungu. Yahweh alimuita kutoka mlimani na kusema, “Lazima uiambie nyumba ya Yakobo, watu wa Israeli:
4 Ye silf han seyn what thingis Y haue do to Egipcians, how Y bar you on the wengis of eglis, and took to me.
Uliona nilicho fanya kwa Wamisri, jinsi nilivyo kubeba kwa mabawa ya tai na kukuleta kwangu.
5 Therfor if ye schulen here my vois, and schulen kepe my couenaunt, ye schulen be to me in to a specialte of alle puplis; for al the lond is myn;
Kisha sasa, ukinisikiliza kwa utii sauti yangu na kushika agano langu, kisha utakuwa mali yangu ya pekee miongoni mwa watu wote, kwa kuwa dunia yote ni yangu.
6 and ye schulen be to me in to a rewme of preesthod, and `ye schulen be an hooli folk; these ben the wordis whiche thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel.
Utakuwa ufalme wa kikuhani na taifa takatifu langu. Haya ni maneno wapaswa kuwaambia Waisraeli.
7 Moyses cam, and whanne the gretter men in birthe of the puple weren clepid to gidere, he expownede alle the wordis whiche the Lord comaundide.
Hivyo Musa akaja na kuwaita wazee wa watu. Aliweke mbele yao maneno yote haya Yahweh aliyo muamuru.
8 And alle the puple answeride to gidere, We schulen do alle thingis whiche the Lord spak. And whanne Moises hadde teld the wordis of the puple to the Lord,
Watu wote walijibu pamoja na kusema, “Tutafanya yote Yahweh aliyo tuambia.” Kisha musa akaja kutoa taarifa ya maneno watu kwa Yahweh.
9 the Lord seide to hym, Riyt now Y schal come to thee in a derknesse of a cloude, that the puple here me spekynge to thee, and bileue to thee withouten ende. Therfor Moises telde the wordis of the puple to the Lord,
Yahweh akamwambia Musa, “Nitakuja kwako kwa wingu nene ili watu wasikie ninapo sema na wewe na wakuamini milele.” Kisha Musa kamwambia Yahweh maneno ya Yahweh.
10 which seide to Moises, Go thou to the puple, and make hem holi to dai and to morewe, and waische thei her clothis,
Yahweh akamwambia Musa, “Nenda kwa watu. Leo na kesho lazima uwatenge, na kuwafanya waoshe mavazi yao.
11 and be thei redi in to the thridde dai; for in the thridde dai the Lord schal come doun bifore al the puple on the hil of Synai.
Kuwa tayari kwa siku ya tatu, kwa kuwa siku ya tatu Yahweh atashuka chini ya Mlima Sayuni.
12 And thou schalt sette termes to the puple, bi cumpas; and thou schalt seie to hem, Be ye war, that ye `stie not in to the hil, nether touche ye the endis therof; ech man that schal touche the hil, schal die bi deeth.
Lazima uweke mipaka kote kuzunguka mlima kwa ajili ya watu. Uwaambie, 'Kuweni waangalifu msiende juu ya mlima au kushika mipaka yake. Yeyote atakaye shika mlima ata uawa.'
13 Hondis schulen not touche hym, but he schal be oppressid with stoonus, ethir he shall be persid with dartis; whether it schal be a beest, ethir a man, it schal not lyue; whanne a clarioun schal bigynne to sowne, thanne `stie thei in to the hil.
Hakuna mkono wa mtu yeyote kumshika mtu huyu. Badala yake, lazima apigwe mawe au kuchomwa mshale. Iwe ni mtu au mnyama, lazima auawe. Tarumbeta itakapo pigwa muda mrefu, wanaweza kuja chini ya mguu wa mlima.”
14 And Moises cam doun fro the hil to the puple, and halewide it; and whanne thei hadden waischun her clothis,
Kisha Musa akashuka mlimani kwenda kwa watu. Aliwatenga watu kwa ajili ya Yahweh na wakaosha mavazi yao.
15 he seide to hem, Be ye redi in to the thridde dai, neiye ye not to youre wyues.
Aliwaambia watu, “Kuweni tayari siku ya tatu; msiwakaribie wake zenu.”
16 And now the thridde day was comun, and the morewetid was cleer; and, lo! thundris bigunnen to be herd, and leitis to schyne, and a moost thicke cloude to hile the mounteyn; and `the sownyng of a clarioun made noise ful greetli, and the puple dredde, that was in the castels.
Siku ya tatu, ilipo fika asubui, kulikuwa na ngurumo na radi na wingu nene kwenye mlima, na sauti kubwa ya tarumbeta. Watu wote kambini waliogopa.
17 And whanne Moises hadde led hem out in to the comyng of God, fro the place of castels, thei stoden at the rootis of the hil.
Musa akaleta watu kutoka kambini kukutana na Mungu, na wakasimama miguuni mwa mlima.
18 Forsothe al the hil of Synai smokide, for the Lord hadde come doun theronne in fier; and smoke stiede therof as of a furneis, and al the hil was ferdful;
Mlima Sina ulijwa kabisa na moshi kwasababu Yahweh alishuka na moto na moshi. Moshi ulipanda juu kama moshi wa tanuru, na mlima wote ulitikisika kwa vurugu.
19 and the `sown of a clarioun encreesside litil and litil, and was holdun forth lengere. Moises spak, and the Lord answeride to hym,
Sauti ya tarumbeta ilipo ongezeka na zaidi, Musa akazungumza, na Mungu kamjibu kwa sauti.
20 and the Lord cam doun on the hil of Synay, in thilke cop of the hil, and clepide Moises to the cop therof. And whanne he hadde stied thidur,
Yahweh akashuka chini ya Mlima Sinai, juu ya mlima, na akamuita Musa kuja juu. Kisha Musa akapanda juu.
21 the Lord seide to hym, Go thou doun, and witnesse thou to the puple, lest perauenture it wole passe the termes to se the Lord, and ful greet multitude therof perische;
Yahweh akamwabia Musa, “Shuka chini na uwaonye watu wasipite kuniangalia, au wengi wao wataangamia.
22 also preestis, that neiyen to the Lord, be halewid, lest Y smyte hem.
Acha pia mukuhani wanao kuja karibu yangu wakitenge - wajiandae kwa ujio - ili nisiwashambulie.”
23 And Moises seide to the Lord, The comyn puple may not stie in to the hil of Synai; for thou hast witnessid, and hast comaundid, seiyinge, Sette thou termes aboute the hil, and halewe it.
Musa akamwabia Yahweh, “Watu hawawezi kuja juu ya mlima, kwa kuwa umetuamuru: 'Eka mipaka kuzunguka mlima na utenge kwa ajili ya Yahweh.'”
24 To whom the Lord seide, Go thou doun, and thou schalt stie, and Aaron with thee; forsothe the preestis and the puple passe not the termes, nethir stie thei to the Lord, lest perauenture he sle hem.
Yahweh akamwambia, Nenda, shuka chini ya mlima, na umelete Aruni na wewe, lakini usiache makuhani na watu kupita vizuizi na kuja kwangu, au nitawashambulia.”
25 Moises yede doun to the puple, and telde alle thingis to hem.
Hivyo Musa akaenda chini kwa watu na kusema nao.
