Exodus 19
1 In the thridde monethe of the goyng `of Israel out of the lond of Egipt, in this dai thei camen in to the wildirnesse of Synai;
Měsíce třetího po vyjití synů Izraelských z země Egyptské, v ten den přišli na poušť Sinai.
2 for thei yeden forth fro Rafidym, and camen til in to deseert of Synai, and settiden tentis in the same place; and there Israel settide tentis, euen ayens the hil.
Nebo hnuvše se z Rafidim, přišli až na poušť Sinai a položili se na té poušti; a tu rozbili Izraelští stany naproti hoře.
3 Forsothe Moises stiede in to the hil to God; and the Lord clepide hym fro the mount, and seide, Thou schalt seie these thingis to the hows of Jacob, and thou schalt telle to the sones of Israel,
Mojžíš pak vstoupil k Bohu. A mluvil hlasem k němu Hospodin s té hory, řka: Takto díš domu Jákobovu, a oznámíš synům Izraelským:
4 Ye silf han seyn what thingis Y haue do to Egipcians, how Y bar you on the wengis of eglis, and took to me.
Sami jste viděli, co jsem učinil Egyptským, a jak jsem vás nesl na křídlách orličích, a přivedl jsem vás k sobě.
5 Therfor if ye schulen here my vois, and schulen kepe my couenaunt, ye schulen be to me in to a specialte of alle puplis; for al the lond is myn;
Protož nyní, jestliže skutečně poslouchati budete hlasu mého, a ostříhati smlouvy mé, budete mi lid zvláštní mimo všecky lidi, ačkoli má jest všecka země.
6 and ye schulen be to me in to a rewme of preesthod, and `ye schulen be an hooli folk; these ben the wordis whiche thou schalt speke to the sones of Israel.
A vy budete mi království kněžské a národ svatý. Tať jsou slova, kteráž mluviti budeš synům Izraelským.
7 Moyses cam, and whanne the gretter men in birthe of the puple weren clepid to gidere, he expownede alle the wordis whiche the Lord comaundide.
Protož přišel Mojžíš a svolav starší lidu, předložil jim všecka slova ta, kteráž mu přikázal Hospodin.
8 And alle the puple answeride to gidere, We schulen do alle thingis whiche the Lord spak. And whanne Moises hadde teld the wordis of the puple to the Lord,
Odpověděl pak všecken lid společně, a řekl: Cožkoli mluvil Hospodin, budeme činiti. A oznámil zas Mojžíš Hospodinu slova lidu.
9 the Lord seide to hym, Riyt now Y schal come to thee in a derknesse of a cloude, that the puple here me spekynge to thee, and bileue to thee withouten ende. Therfor Moises telde the wordis of the puple to the Lord,
I řekl Hospodin Mojžíšovi: Aj, já půjdu k tobě v hustém oblaku, aby slyšel lid, když mluviti budu s tebou, ano také, aby tobě věřil na věky. Nebo byl oznámil Mojžíš Hospodinu slova lidu.
10 which seide to Moises, Go thou to the puple, and make hem holi to dai and to morewe, and waische thei her clothis,
Řekl dále Hospodin Mojžíšovi: Jdi k lidu, a posvěť jich dnes a zítra; a nechť svá roucha zeperou.
11 and be thei redi in to the thridde dai; for in the thridde dai the Lord schal come doun bifore al the puple on the hil of Synai.
A ať jsou hotovi ke dni třetímu, nebo v den třetí sstoupí Hospodin před očima všeho lidu na horu Sinai.
12 And thou schalt sette termes to the puple, bi cumpas; and thou schalt seie to hem, Be ye war, that ye `stie not in to the hil, nether touche ye the endis therof; ech man that schal touche the hil, schal die bi deeth.
Uložíš pak lidu meze všudy vůkol a povíš: Varujte se, abyste nevstupovali na horu, ani nedotýkali se krajů jejích. Kdož by se koli dotkl hory, smrtí umře.
13 Hondis schulen not touche hym, but he schal be oppressid with stoonus, ethir he shall be persid with dartis; whether it schal be a beest, ethir a man, it schal not lyue; whanne a clarioun schal bigynne to sowne, thanne `stie thei in to the hil.
Nedotkneť se ho ruka, ale ukamenován neb zastřelen bude; buď že by hovado bylo, buď člověk, nebudeť živ. Když se zdlouha troubiti bude, teprv oni vstoupí na horu.
14 And Moises cam doun fro the hil to the puple, and halewide it; and whanne thei hadden waischun her clothis,
Sstoupiv tedy Mojžíš s hůry k lidu, posvětil ho; a oni zeprali roucha svá.
15 he seide to hem, Be ye redi in to the thridde dai, neiye ye not to youre wyues.
I mluvil k lidu: Buďtež hotovi ke dni třetímu; nepřistupujte k manželkám svým.
16 And now the thridde day was comun, and the morewetid was cleer; and, lo! thundris bigunnen to be herd, and leitis to schyne, and a moost thicke cloude to hile the mounteyn; and `the sownyng of a clarioun made noise ful greetli, and the puple dredde, that was in the castels.
I stalo se dne třetího, když bylo ráno, že bylo hřímání s blýskáním a oblak hustý na té hoře, zvuk také trouby velmi tuhý, až se zhrozil všecken lid, kterýž byl v ležení.
17 And whanne Moises hadde led hem out in to the comyng of God, fro the place of castels, thei stoden at the rootis of the hil.
Tedy Mojžíš vyvedl lid z ležení vstříc Bohu; a lid stál dole pod horou.
18 Forsothe al the hil of Synai smokide, for the Lord hadde come doun theronne in fier; and smoke stiede therof as of a furneis, and al the hil was ferdful;
Hora pak Sinai všecka se kouřila, proto že sstoupil na ni Hospodin v ohni, a vystupoval dým její jako dým z vápenice, a třásla se všecka hora velmi hrubě.
19 and the `sown of a clarioun encreesside litil and litil, and was holdun forth lengere. Moises spak, and the Lord answeride to hym,
Zvuk také trouby více se rozmáhal, a silil se náramně. Mojžíš mluvil, a Bůh mu odpovídal hlasem.
20 and the Lord cam doun on the hil of Synay, in thilke cop of the hil, and clepide Moises to the cop therof. And whanne he hadde stied thidur,
Sstoupil pak Hospodin na horu Sinai, na vrch hory; a když povolal Hospodin Mojžíše na vrch hory, vstoupil Mojžíš.
21 the Lord seide to hym, Go thou doun, and witnesse thou to the puple, lest perauenture it wole passe the termes to se the Lord, and ful greet multitude therof perische;
I řekl Hospodin Mojžíšovi: Sstup, osvědč lidu, ať se nevytrhují k Hospodinu, chtějíce ho viděti, aby nepadlo jich množství;
22 also preestis, that neiyen to the Lord, be halewid, lest Y smyte hem.
Nýbrž ani sami kněží, kteříž, majíce přistupovati k Hospodinu, posvěcují se, aby se neobořil na ně Hospodin.
23 And Moises seide to the Lord, The comyn puple may not stie in to the hil of Synai; for thou hast witnessid, and hast comaundid, seiyinge, Sette thou termes aboute the hil, and halewe it.
Mojžíš pak řekl Hospodinu: Nebudeť moci lid vstoupiti na horu Sinai, poněvadž jsi ty osvědčil nám, řka: Obmez horu a posvěť ji.
24 To whom the Lord seide, Go thou doun, and thou schalt stie, and Aaron with thee; forsothe the preestis and the puple passe not the termes, nethir stie thei to the Lord, lest perauenture he sle hem.
I řekl jemu Hospodin: Jdi, sstup, a potom vstup ty a Aron s tebou. Kněží pak a lid ať se nepokoušejí vstoupiti k Hospodinu, aby se na ně neobořil.
25 Moises yede doun to the puple, and telde alle thingis to hem.
I sešel Mojžíš k lidu, a to jim oznámil.
