Exodus 17
1 Therfor al the multitude of the sones of Israel yede forth fro the deseert of Syn, bi her dwellyngis, bi the word of the Lord, and settiden tentis in Rafidym, where was not watir to the puple to drynke.
Իսրայէլացի ամբողջ ժողովուրդը Տիրոջ կարգադրութեան համաձայն խումբ-խումբ գնաց Սին անապատից եւ կայք հաստատեց Ռափիդիմում: Այստեղ, սակայն, ջուր չկար, որ ժողովուրդը խմէր:
2 Whiche puple chidde ayens Moises, and seide, Yyue thou water to vs, that we drynke. To whiche Moises answeride, What chiden ye ayens me, and whi tempten ye the Lord?
Ժողովուրդն սկսեց մեղադրել Մովսէսին՝ ասելով. «Մեզ ջո՛ւր տուր, որ խմենք»: Մովսէսը նրանց ասաց. «Ինչո՞ւ էք ինձ մեղադրում, ինչո՞ւ էք փորձում Տիրոջը»:
3 Therfor the puple thristide there for the scarsnesse of watir, and grutchiden ayens Moises, and seide, Whi madist thou vs to go out of Egipt, to sle vs, and oure fre children, and beestis, for thrist?
Ժողովուրդն այնտեղ ծարաւ զգալով՝ տրտնջաց Մովսէսի դէմ ու ասաց. «Ինչո՞ւ մեզ հանեցիր Եգիպտոսից, որ ծարաւից կոտորուե՞նք մենք եւ մեր երեխաներն ու անասունները»:
4 Forsothe Moises criede to the Lord, and seide, What schal Y do to this puple? yit a litil, also it schal stone me.
Մովսէսը պաղատագին խնդրելով Տիրոջը՝ ասաց. «Ի՞նչ անեմ ես այս ժողովրդին: Մի քիչ էլ մնայ՝ ինձ կը քարկոծեն»:
5 The Lord seide to Moises, Go thou bifore the puple, and take with thee of the eldre men of Israel, and take in thin hond the yerde, `bi which thou hast smyte the flood, and go; lo!
Տէրն ասաց Մովսէսին. «Գնա՛ ժողովրդի առջեւից, քեզ հետ վերցրո՛ւ ժողովրդի ծերերին, ձեռքդ ա՛ռ քո այն գաւազանը, որով հարուածեցիր գետին, եւ ճամփայ ընկի՛ր:
6 Y schal stonde there before thee, aboue the stoon of Oreb, and thou schalt smyte the stoon, and water schal go out therof, that the puple drynke. Moises dide so byfore the eldere men of Israel;
Ես քեզնից առաջ այնտեղ հասնելով՝ կը կանգնեմ Քորէբի ժայռի վրայ: Կը հարուածես ժայռին, դրանից ջուր կը բխի, եւ քո ժողովուրդը կը խմի»:
7 and he clepide the name of that place Temptacioun, for the chidyng of the sones of Israel, and for thei temptiden the Lord, and seiden, Whether the Lord is in vs, ether nay?
Մովսէսն իսրայէլացիների ներկայութեամբ այդպէս էլ արեց: Նա այդ վայրը կոչեց Փորձութիւն եւ Մեղադրանք, որովհետեւ իսրայէլացիները մեղադրել էին եւ Տիրոջը փորձել՝ ասելով. «Տէրը մեր մէ՞ջ է, թէ՞ ոչ»:
8 Forsothe Amalech cam, and fauyt ayens Israel in Rafidym.
Ամաղէկացիներն եկան ու Ռափիդիմում պատերազմեցին իսրայէլացիների դէմ:
9 And Moises seide to Josue, Chese thou men, and go out, and fiyte to morewe ayens men of Amalech; lo! Y schal stonde in the cop of the hil, and Y schal haue `the yerde of God in myn hond.
Մովսէսն ասաց Յեսուին. «Ուժեղ տղամարդիկ ընտրի՛ր եւ առաւօտեան վեր կենալով պատերազմի՛ր ամաղէկացիների դէմ: Ես կը գամ ու կը կանգնեմ բլրի գագաթին, եւ Աստծու գաւազանը կը լինի իմ ձեռքին»:
10 Josue dide as Moises spak, and fauyt ayens Amalech. Forsothe Moises, and Aaron, and Hur stieden on the cop of the hil;
Յեսուն արեց այնպէս, ինչպէս իրեն ասել էր Մովսէսը. նա պատերազմեց ամաղէկացիների դէմ: Մովսէսը, Ահարոնն ու Ովրը բարձրացան բլրի գագաթը:
11 and whanne Moises reiside the hondis, Israel ouercam; forsothe if he let down a litil, Amalech ouercam.
Երբ Մովսէսը բարձր էր պահում ձեռքերը, առաւելութեան էին հասնում իսրայէլացիները, իսկ երբ իջեցնում էր ձեռքերը, առաւելութեան էին հասնում ամաղէկացիները:
12 Sotheli `the hondis of Moises weren heuy, therfor thei token a stoon, and puttide vndir hym, in which stoon he sat. Forsothe Aaron and Hur susteyneden hise hondis, on euer eithir side; and it was don, that hise hondis weren not maad weri, til to the goyng down of the sunne.
Եւ քանի որ Մովսէսի ձեռքերը յոգնելուց ծանրանում էին, Ահարոնն ու Ովրը մի քար առան եւ նրա տակը դրեցին: Մովսէսը նստեց դրա վրայ, իսկ Ահարոնն ու Ովրը՝ մէկն այս կողմից, միւսն այն կողմից նրա ձեռքերը բռնած բարձր էին պահում: Այսպիսով Մովսէսի ձեռքերը մինչեւ արեւի մայր մտն»լը բարձրացած մնացին:
13 And Josue droof a wey Amalech and his puple, in `the mouth of swerd, that is, bi the scharpnesse of the swerd.
Յեսուն սրակոտոր արեց ամաղէկացիներին ու նրանց ողջ զօրքը:
14 Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Wryte thou this in a book, for mynde, and take in the eeris of Josue; for Y schal do a wei the mynde of Amalech fro vndur heuene.
Տէրն ասաց Մովսէսին. «Այս դէպքը որպէս յիշատակ գրի՛ առ: Հաղորդի՛ր Յեսուին, որ ամաղէկացիների յիշատակը ջնջելու եմ երկրի վրայ՝ երկնքի ներքոյ»:
15 And Moises bildide an auter, and clepide the name therof The Lord myn enhaunsere,
Մովսէսը Տիրոջ համար զոհասեղան շինեց եւ դրա անունը դրեց՝ «Տէրն իմ ապաւէնն է»:
16 and seide, For the hond of the Lord aloone, and the bateil of God schal be ayens Amalech, fro generacioun in to generacioun.
Նա ասաց. «Այսպէս կոչեցի, քանի որ Տէրն իր անտեսանելի ձեռքով պատերազմում է ամաղէկացիների դէմ սերնդից սերունդ»:
