Exodus 16
1 And thei yeden forth fro Helym, and al the multitude of the sones of Israel cam in to deseert of Syn, which is bitwixe Helym and Synai, in the fiftenethe dai of the secunde monethe aftir that thei yeden out of the lond of Egipt.
Setelah mereka berangkat dari Elim, tibalah segenap jemaah Israel di padang gurun Sin, yang terletak di antara Elim dan gunung Sinai, pada hari yang kelima belas bulan yang kedua, sejak mereka keluar dari tanah Mesir.
2 And al the congregacioun of the sones of Israel grutchide ayens Moises, and ayens Aaron, in the wildirnesse.
Di padang gurun itu bersungut-sungutlah segenap jemaah Israel kepada Musa dan Harun;
3 And the sones of Israel seiden to hem, We wolden that we hadden be deed bi the `hoond of the Lord in the lond of Egipt, whanne we saten on the `pottis of fleisch, and eeten looues in plentee; whi leden ye vs in to this deseert, that ye schulden sle al the multitude with hungur?
dan berkata kepada mereka: "Ah, kalau kami mati tadinya di tanah Mesir oleh tangan TUHAN ketika kami duduk menghadapi kuali berisi daging dan makan roti sampai kenyang! Sebab kamu membawa kami keluar ke padang gurun ini untuk membunuh seluruh jemaah ini dengan kelaparan."
4 Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Lo! Y schal reyne to you looues fro heuene; the puple go out, that it gadere tho thingis that sufficen bi ech day; that Y asaie the puple, whethir it goith in my lawe, ether nai.
Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Sesungguhnya Aku akan menurunkan dari langit hujan roti bagimu; maka bangsa itu akan keluar dan memungut tiap-tiap hari sebanyak yang perlu untuk sehari, supaya mereka Kucoba, apakah mereka hidup menurut hukum-Ku atau tidak.
5 Sotheli in the sixte dai make thei redi that that thei schulen bere yn, and be it double ouer that thei weren wont to gadere bi ech dai.
Dan pada hari yang keenam, apabila mereka memasak yang dibawa mereka pulang, maka yang dibawa itu akan terdapat dua kali lipat banyaknya dari apa yang dipungut mereka sehari-hari."
6 And Moises and Aaron seiden to alle the sones of Israel, At euentid ye schulen wite that the Lord ledde you out of the lond of Egipt;
Sesudah itu berkatalah Musa dan Harun kepada seluruh orang Israel: "Petang ini kamu akan mengetahui bahwa Tuhanlah yang telah membawa kamu keluar dari tanah Mesir.
7 and in the morewetid ye schulen se the glorie of the Lord; for Y herde youre grutchyng ayens the Lord; sotheli what ben we, for ye grutchen ayens us?
Dan besok pagi kamu melihat kemuliaan TUHAN, karena Ia telah mendengar sungut-sungutmu kepada-Nya. Sebab, apalah kami ini maka kamu bersungut-sungut kepada kami?"
8 And Moises seide, The Lord schal yyue to you at euentid fleischis to ete, and looues in the morewetid in plentee, for he herde youre grutchyngis, bi which ye grutchiden ayens hym; for whi, what ben we? youre grutchyng is not ayens vs but ayens the Lord.
Lagi kata Musa: "Jika memang TUHAN yang memberi kamu makan daging pada waktu petang dan makan roti sampai kenyang pada waktu pagi, karena TUHAN telah mendengar sungut-sungutmu yang kamu sungut-sungutkan kepada-Nya--apalah kami ini? Bukan kepada kami sungut-sungutmu itu, tetapi kepada TUHAN."
9 And Moises seide to Aaron, Seie thou to al the congregacioun of the sones of Israel, Neiye ye bifore the Lord, for he herde youre grutchyng.
Kata Musa kepada Harun: "Katakanlah kepada segenap jemaah Israel: Marilah dekat ke hadapan TUHAN, sebab Ia telah mendengar sungut-sungutmu."
10 And whanne Aaron spak to al the cumpeny of the sones of Israel, thei bihelden to the wildirnesse, and lo! the glorie of the Lord apperide in a cloude.
Dan sedang Harun berbicara kepada segenap jemaah Israel, mereka memalingkan mukanya ke arah padang gurun--maka tampaklah kemuliaan TUHAN dalam awan.
11 Forsothe the Lord spak to Moises,
Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa:
12 and seide, Y herde the grutchyngis of the sones of Israel; spek thou to hem, At euentid ye schulen ete fleischis, and in the morewtid ye schulen be fillid with looues, and ye schulen wite that Y am `youre Lord God.
"Aku telah mendengar sungut-sungut orang Israel; katakanlah kepada mereka: Pada waktu senja kamu akan makan daging dan pada waktu pagi kamu akan kenyang makan roti; maka kamu akan mengetahui, bahwa Akulah TUHAN, Allahmu."
13 Therfor euentid was maad, and `curlewes stieden and hiliden the castels; and in the morewtid deew cam bi the face of the castels.
Pada waktu petang datanglah berduyun-duyun burung puyuh yang menutupi perkemahan itu; dan pada waktu pagi terletaklah embun sekeliling perkemahan itu.
14 And whanne it hadde hilid the erthe, a litil thing, and as powned with a pestel, in the licnesse of an hoorfrost on erthe, apperide in the wildirnesse.
Ketika embun itu telah menguap, tampaklah pada permukaan padang gurun sesuatu yang halus, sesuatu yang seperti sisik, halus seperti embun beku di bumi.
15 And whanne the sones of Israel hadden seyn that, thei seiden to gidere, Man hu? which signyfieth, what is this? for thei wisten not what it was. To whiche Moises seide, This is the breed, which the Lord hath youe to you to ete.
Ketika orang Israel melihatnya, berkatalah mereka seorang kepada yang lain: "Apakah ini?" Sebab mereka tidak tahu apa itu. Tetapi Musa berkata kepada mereka: "Inilah roti yang diberikan TUHAN kepadamu menjadi makananmu.
16 This is the word which the Lord comaundide, Ech man gadere therof as myche as suffisith to be etun, gomor bi ech heed, bi the noumbre of youre soulis that dwellen in the tabernacle, so ye schulen take.
Beginilah perintah TUHAN: Pungutlah itu, tiap-tiap orang menurut keperluannya; masing-masing kamu boleh mengambil untuk seisi kemahnya, segomer seorang, menurut jumlah jiwa."
17 And the sones of Israel diden so, and thei gaderiden oon more, another lesse;
Demikianlah diperbuat orang Israel; mereka mengumpulkan, ada yang banyak, ada yang sedikit.
18 and thei metiden at the mesure gomor; nethir he that gaderide more had more, nethir he that made redi lesse fond lesse, but alle gaderiden bi that that thei myyten ete.
Ketika mereka menakarnya dengan gomer, maka orang yang mengumpulkan banyak, tidak kelebihan dan orang yang mengumpulkan sedikit, tidak kekurangan. Tiap-tiap orang mengumpulkan menurut keperluannya.
19 And Moises seide to hem, Noon leeue therof in to the morewtid; whiche herden not him,
Musa berkata kepada mereka: "Seorangpun tidak boleh meninggalkan dari padanya sampai pagi."
20 but summe of hem leften til to the morewtid, and it bigan to buyle with wormes, and it was rotun; and Moises was wrooth ayens hem.
Tetapi ada yang tidak mendengarkan Musa dan meninggalkan dari padanya sampai pagi, lalu berulat dan berbau busuk. Maka Musa menjadi marah kepada mereka.
21 Forsothe alle gaderiden in the morewtid as myche as `miyte suffice to be eten; and whanne the sunne was hoot, it was moltun.
Setiap pagi mereka memungutnya, tiap-tiap orang menurut keperluannya; tetapi ketika matahari panas, cairlah itu.
22 Sotheli in the sixte dai thei gaderiden double metis, that is, `twei gomor by ech man. Forsothe alle the princis of the multitude camen, and telden to Moises, which seide to hem,
Dan pada hari yang keenam mereka memungut roti itu dua kali lipat banyaknya, dua gomer untuk tiap-tiap orang; dan datanglah semua pemimpin jemaah memberitahukannya kepada Musa.
23 This it is that the Lord spak, The reste of the sabot is halewid to the Lord, do ye what euer thing schal be wrouyt to morewe, and sethe ye tho thingis that schulen be sodun; sotheli what euer thing is residue, kepe ye til in to the morewe.
Lalu berkatalah Musa kepada mereka: "Inilah yang dimaksudkan TUHAN: Besok adalah hari perhentian penuh, sabat yang kudus bagi TUHAN; maka roti yang perlu kamu bakar, bakarlah, dan apa yang perlu kamu masak, masaklah; dan segala kelebihannya biarkanlah di tempatnya untuk disimpan sampai pagi."
24 And thei diden so as Moises comaundide, and it was not rotun, nether a worm was foundun ther ynne.
Mereka membiarkannya di tempatnya sampai keesokan harinya, seperti yang diperintahkan Musa; lalu tidaklah berbau busuk dan tidak ada ulat di dalamnya.
25 And Moises seide, Ete ye that in this dai, for it is the sabat of the Lord, it schal not be foundun to dai in the feeld; gadere ye in sixe daies,
Selanjutnya kata Musa: "Makanlah itu pada hari ini, sebab hari ini adalah sabat untuk TUHAN, pada hari ini tidaklah kamu mendapatnya di padang.
26 forsothe the sabat of the Lord is in the seuenthe dai, therfor it schal not be foundun.
Enam hari lamanya kamu memungutnya, tetapi pada hari yang ketujuh ada sabat; maka roti itu tidak ada pada hari itu."
27 The seuenthe dai cam, and summe of the puple yeden out `to gadire, and thei founden not.
Tetapi ketika pada hari ketujuh ada dari bangsa itu yang keluar memungutnya, tidaklah mereka mendapatnya.
28 Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Hou long `nylen ye kepe my comaundementis, and my lawe?
Sebab itu TUHAN berfirman kepada Musa: "Berapa lama lagi kamu menolak mengikuti segala perintah-Ku dan hukum-Ku?
29 Se ye that the Lord yaf to you the sabat, and for this he yaf to you in the sixte dai double meetis; ech man dwelle at him silf, noon go out of his place in the seuenthe dai.
Perhatikanlah, TUHAN telah memberikan sabat itu kepadamu; itulah sebabnya pada hari keenam Ia memberikan kepadamu roti untuk dua hari. Tinggallah kamu di tempatmu masing-masing, seorangpun tidak boleh keluar dari tempatnya pada hari ketujuh itu."
30 And the puple kepte sabat in the seuenthe dai.
Lalu beristirahatlah bangsa itu pada hari ketujuh.
31 And the hous of Israel clepide the name therof man, which was whijt as the seed of coriandre, and the taast therof was as of flour with hony.
Umat Israel menyebutkan namanya: manna; warnanya putih seperti ketumbar dan rasanya seperti rasa kue madu.
32 Forsothe Moises seide, This is the word which the Lord comaundide, Fille thou a gomor therof, and be it kept in to generaciouns to comynge aftirward, that thei knowe the breed bi which Y fedde you in the wildirnesse, whanne ye weren led out of the lond of Egipt.
Musa berkata: "Beginilah perintah TUHAN: Ambillah segomer penuh untuk disimpan turun-temurun, supaya keturunan mereka melihat roti yang Kuberi kamu makan di padang gurun, ketika Aku membawa kamu keluar dari tanah Mesir."
33 And Moises seide to Aaron, Take thou o vessel, and putte therinne man, as myche as gomor mai take, and putte bifore the Lord, to be kept in to youre generaciouns,
Sebab itu Musa berkata kepada Harun: "Ambillah sebuah buli-buli, taruhlah manna di dalamnya segomer penuh, dan tempatkanlah itu di hadapan TUHAN untuk disimpan turun-temurun."
34 as the Lord comaundide to Moises; and Aaron puttide that to be kept in the tabernacle.
Seperti yang diperintahkan TUHAN kepada Musa, demikianlah buli-buli itu ditempatkan Harun di hadapan tabut hukum Allah untuk disimpan.
35 Forsothe the sones of Israel eeten manna in fourti yeer, til thei camen in to the lond abitable; thei weren fed with this mete til thei touchiden the endis of the lond of Canaan.
Orang Israel makan manna empat puluh tahun lamanya, sampai mereka tiba di tanah yang didiami orang; mereka makan manna sampai tiba di perbatasan tanah Kanaan.
36 Forsothe gomor is the tenthe part of efy.
Adapun segomer ialah sepersepuluh efa.
