Ephesians 1
1 Poul, the apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, to alle seyntis that ben at Effesie, and to the feithful men in Jhesu Crist,
Eu, Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus, de acordo com a vontade de Deus, é quem escreve esta carta para os cristãos que vivem em Éfeso e fiéis em Cristo Jesus.
2 grace be to you and pees of God, oure fader, and oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
Que a graça e a paz de Deus, nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo estejam com vocês!
3 Blessid be God and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that hath blessid vs in al spiritual blessing in heuenli thingis in Crist,
Louvemos a Deus, o Pai do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que nos tem abençoado em Cristo com tudo que é espiritualmente bom do mundo celestial.
4 as he hath chosun vs in hym silf bifor the makyng of the world, that we weren hooli, and with out wem in his siyt, in charite.
Antes do início deste mundo, Deus nos escolheu para estarmos unidos a ele, para que, com amor, pudéssemos nos apresentar diante dele como santos e sem falhas.
5 Which hath bifor ordeyned vs in to adopcioun of sones bi Jhesu Crist in to hym, bi the purpos of his wille,
Ele decidiu antecipadamente nos adotar como seus filhos, trabalhando por meio de Jesus Cristo para nos levar para ele. Ele estava feliz ao fazer isso porque essa era a sua vontade.
6 in to the heriyng of the glorie of his grace;
Então, nós o louvamos por sua gloriosa graça, que ele tão gentilmente nos deu, por meio do seu amado Filho.
7 in which he hath glorified vs in his dereworthe sone. In whom we han redempcioun bi his blood, foryyuenesse of synnes, aftir the ritchessis of his grace,
Por meio dele, nós ganhamos a salvação pelo seu sangue, o perdão dos nossos pecados, como resultado de sua valiosa bênção,
8 that aboundide greetli in vs in al wisdom and prudence,
que ele tão generosamente nos deu, juntamente com toda a sabedoria e entendimento.
9 to make knowun to vs the sacrament of his wille, bi the good plesaunce of hym; the which sacrament he purposide in
Deus nos revelou sua vontade até então oculta, e ele ficou feliz em prosseguir com o seu plano,
10 hym in the dispensacioun of plente of tymes to enstore alle thingis in Crist, whiche ben in heuenes, and whiche ben in erthe, in hym.
mediante o qual, ele colocaria sob a autoridade de Cristo tudo o que existe no céu e na terra.
11 In whom we ben clepid bi sort, bifor ordeyned bi the purpos of hym that worchith alle thingis bi the counsel of his wille;
Nele, fomos escolhidos com antecedência, de acordo com o plano daquele que está resolvendo tudo de acordo com a sua vontade,
12 that we be in to the heriyng of his glorie, we that han hopid bifor in Crist.
para que, assim, nós, que fomos os primeiros a ter esperança em Cristo, pudéssemos louvar a sua glória.
13 In whom also ye weren clepid, whanne ye herden the word of treuthe, the gospel of youre heelthe, in whom ye bileuynge ben merkid with the Hooli Goost of biheest, which is the ernes of oure eritage,
Nele, vocês também ouviram a palavra da verdade, o evangelho da nossa salvação. Nele, por causa da sua fé, vocês foram marcados com o selo da promessa do Espírito Santo,
14 in to the redempcioun of purchasyng, in to heriyng of his glorie.
que é a garantia da nossa herança, até a redenção daqueles que pertencem a Deus, para o seu louvor e a sua glória.
15 Therfor and Y herynge youre feith, that is in Crist Jhesu, and the loue in to alle seyntis,
Por isso, tendo eu ouvido falar a respeito da sua fé no Senhor Jesus e no amor que vocês têm por todos os cristãos,
16 ceesse not to do thankyngis for you, makynge mynde of you in my preieris;
eu sempre agradeço a Deus por vocês e também sempre os incluo em minhas orações.
17 that God of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, the fadir of glorie, yyue to you the spirit of wisdom and of reuelacioun, in to the knowyng of hym;
Eu oro para que o Deus do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai glorioso, possa lhes dar um espírito de sabedoria, para que vejam e saibam como ele realmente é.
18 and the iyen of youre herte liytned, that ye wite, which is the hope of his clepyng, and whiche ben the richessis of the glorie of his eritage in seyntis;
Que as mentes de vocês sejam iluminadas, para que possam entender a esperança para a qual ele os chamou. E para que saibam sobre as gloriosas riquezas que ele promete como uma herança para o seu povo santo.
19 and whych is the excellent greetnesse of his vertu in to vs that han bileuyd, bi the worchyng of the myyt of his vertu,
Que vocês também entendam o poder extraordinário de Deus,
20 which he wrouyte in Crist, reisynge hym fro deth, and settynge him on his riyt half in heuenli thingis,
que ele demonstrou ao ressuscitar Cristo dos mortos. Deus colocou Cristo sentado a sua direita no céu,
21 aboue ech principat, and potestat, and vertu, and domynacioun, and aboue ech name that is named, not oneli in this world, but also in the world to comynge; (aiōn g165)
muito acima de qualquer outro governante, autoridade, poder ou senhor, ou qualquer líder com todos os seus títulos, não apenas neste mundo, mas, também, no mundo que está por vir. (aiōn g165)
22 and made alle thingis suget vndur hise feet, and yaf hym to be heed ouer al the chirche,
Deus sujeitou tudo à autoridade de Cristo e lhe deu a responsabilidade, como chefe, sobre tudo o que está relacionado à igreja,
23 that is the bodi of hym, and the plente of hym, which is alle thingis in alle thingis fulfillid.
que é o corpo de Cristo, que ele preencheu e completou, aquele que preenche e completa tudo em todos os lugares.
