Ephesians 1
1 Poul, the apostle of Jhesu Crist, bi the wille of God, to alle seyntis that ben at Effesie, and to the feithful men in Jhesu Crist,
Paulo, apóstolo de Cristo Jesus pela vontade de Deus, aos santos que estão em Éfeso, e fiéis em Cristo Jesus.
2 grace be to you and pees of God, oure fader, and oure Lord Jhesu Crist.
Graça e paz, de Deus nosso Pai, e do Senhor Jesus Cristo, [sejam] convosco.
3 Blessid be God and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that hath blessid vs in al spiritual blessing in heuenli thingis in Crist,
Bendito seja o Deus e Pai do nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que nos abençoou com todas as bênçãos espirituis nos lugares celestiais em Cristo.
4 as he hath chosun vs in hym silf bifor the makyng of the world, that we weren hooli, and with out wem in his siyt, in charite.
Assim como nos escolheu nele antes da fundação do mundo, para que fôssemos santos e irrepreensíveis diante dele em amor.
5 Which hath bifor ordeyned vs in to adopcioun of sones bi Jhesu Crist in to hym, bi the purpos of his wille,
E nos predestinou como filhos adotados por meio de Jesus Cristo para si mesmo, conforme o bom prazer de sua vontade;
6 in to the heriyng of the glorie of his grace;
para louvor da glória de sua graça, a qual nos concedeu gratuitamente no Amado.
7 in which he hath glorified vs in his dereworthe sone. In whom we han redempcioun bi his blood, foryyuenesse of synnes, aftir the ritchessis of his grace,
Nele temos a libertação pelo seu sangue, o perdão dos pecados, conforme as riquezas da sua graça,
8 that aboundide greetli in vs in al wisdom and prudence,
que ele fez transbordar em nós em toda sabedoria e prudência.
9 to make knowun to vs the sacrament of his wille, bi the good plesaunce of hym; the which sacrament he purposide in
E nos revelou o mistério da sua vontade, conforme o seu bom prazer, que propôs nele,
10 hym in the dispensacioun of plente of tymes to enstore alle thingis in Crist, whiche ben in heuenes, and whiche ben in erthe, in hym.
para a administração do cumprimento dos tempos, [isto é, ] voltar a reunir todas as coisas em Cristo, tanto as que [estão] nos céus, quanto as que [estão] na terra.
11 In whom we ben clepid bi sort, bifor ordeyned bi the purpos of hym that worchith alle thingis bi the counsel of his wille;
Nele também fomos feitos herança, havendo sido predestinados conforme o propósito daquele que faz todas as coisas segundo o conselho da sua vontade,
12 that we be in to the heriyng of his glorie, we that han hopid bifor in Crist.
para que fôssemos para louvor da sua glória, nós os que primeiro esperamos em Cristo.
13 In whom also ye weren clepid, whanne ye herden the word of treuthe, the gospel of youre heelthe, in whom ye bileuynge ben merkid with the Hooli Goost of biheest, which is the ernes of oure eritage,
E também vós, depois que ouvistes a palavra da verdade, o evangelho da vossa salvação, e nele crestes, nele fostes selados com o Espírito Santo da promessa,
14 in to the redempcioun of purchasyng, in to heriyng of his glorie.
que é a garantia da nossa herança, até a libertação da propriedade [de Deus], para louvor da sua glória.
15 Therfor and Y herynge youre feith, that is in Crist Jhesu, and the loue in to alle seyntis,
Por isso eu, desde que ouvi da fé que há entre vós no Senhor Jesus, e do amor a todos os santos,
16 ceesse not to do thankyngis for you, makynge mynde of you in my preieris;
não paro de agradecer [a Deus] por vós, lembrando-me em minhas orações.
17 that God of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, the fadir of glorie, yyue to you the spirit of wisdom and of reuelacioun, in to the knowyng of hym;
[Oro] para que o Deus de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, o Pai glorioso, vos dê o Espírito de sabedoria e de revelação no conhecimento dele;
18 and the iyen of youre herte liytned, that ye wite, which is the hope of his clepyng, and whiche ben the richessis of the glorie of his eritage in seyntis;
e que sejam iluminados os olhos do vosso coração, para que conheçais qual é a esperança para a qual ele chamou, quais [são] as riquezas da gloriosa herança dele nos santos,
19 and whych is the excellent greetnesse of his vertu in to vs that han bileuyd, bi the worchyng of the myyt of his vertu,
e qual é a superabundante grandeza do seu poder para nós, que cremos, conforme a operação da sua poderosa força,
20 which he wrouyte in Crist, reisynge hym fro deth, and settynge him on his riyt half in heuenli thingis,
a qual ele operou em Cristo, ressuscitando-o dos mortos; e o colocou à direita dele nos céus,
21 aboue ech principat, and potestat, and vertu, and domynacioun, and aboue ech name that is named, not oneli in this world, but also in the world to comynge; (aiōn g165)
acima de todo governo, autoridade, poder, domínio, e de todo nome que se nomeia, não só nesta era, mas também na futura. (aiōn g165)
22 and made alle thingis suget vndur hise feet, and yaf hym to be heed ouer al the chirche,
Ele também sujeitou todas as coisas debaixo dos seus pés, e o constituiu por cabeça sobre todas as coisas para a Igreja,
23 that is the bodi of hym, and the plente of hym, which is alle thingis in alle thingis fulfillid.
que é o seu corpo, a plenitude daquele que enche tudo em todas as coisas.
