Ephesians 6
1 Sones, obeische ye to youre fadir and modir, in the Lord; for this thing is riytful.
Copii, ascultați de părinții voștri în Domnul, căci așa este drept.
2 Onoure thou thi fadir and thi modir, that is the firste maundement in biheest;
“Cinstiți pe tatăl vostru și pe mama voastră”, care este prima poruncă cu o promisiune:
3 that it be wel to thee, and that thou be long lyuynge on the erthe.
“ca să vă fie bine și să trăiți mult pe pământ”.
4 And, fadris, nyle ye terre youre sones to wraththe; but nurische ye hem in the teching and chastising of the Lord.
Voi, taților, nu vă mâniați copiii, ci creșteți-i în disciplina și învățătura Domnului.
5 Seruauntis, obeische ye to fleischli lordis with drede and trembling, in simplenesse of youre herte, as to Crist;
Slujitori, fiți supuși celor care, după trup, sunt stăpânii voștri, cu frică și cu cutremur, în curăția inimii voastre, ca față de Hristos,
6 not seruynge at the iye, as plesinge to men, but as seruauntis of Crist; doynge the wille of God bi discrecioun,
nu în felul de a sluji numai când ochii sunt ațintiți asupra voastră, ca niște plăceri de oameni, ci ca niște slujitori ai lui Hristos, făcând din inimă voia lui Dumnezeu,
7 with good wille seruynge as to the Lord, and not as to men;
cu bunăvoință, slujind ca Domnului și nu ca oamenilor,
8 witinge that ech man, what euere good thing he schal do, he schal resseyue this of the Lord, whether seruaunt, whether fre man.
știind că orice lucru bun pe care îl face fiecare, va primi din nou același bine de la Domnul, fie că este legat, fie că este liber.
9 And, ye lordis, do the same thingis to hem, foryyuynge manaasis; witinge that bothe her Lord and youre is in heuenes, and the taking of persones is not anentis God.
Voi, stăpânilor, faceți-le și voi la fel și lăsați-vă amenințați, știind că Cel ce este și stăpânul lor și al vostru este în ceruri și că la El nu este nici un fel de părtinire.
10 Her aftirward, britheren, be ye coumfortid in the Lord, and in the miyt of his vertu.
În sfârșit, întăriți-vă în Domnul și în tăria puterii Lui.
11 Clothe you with the armere of God, that ye moun stonde ayens aspiynges of the deuel.
Îmbrăcați-vă cu toată armura lui Dumnezeu, ca să puteți sta împotriva vicleniei diavolului.
12 For whi stryuyng is not to vs ayens fleisch and blood, but ayens princis and potestatis, ayens gouernours of the world of these derknessis, ayens spiritual thingis of wickidnesse, in heuenli thingis. (aiōn g165)
Căci lupta noastră nu este împotriva cărnii și a sângelui, ci împotriva principatelor, împotriva puterilor, împotriva stăpânitorilor lumii, a întunericului acestui veac și împotriva forțelor spirituale ale răutății din locurile cerești. (aiōn g165)
13 Therfor take ye the armere of God, that ye moun ayenstonde in the yuel dai; and in alle thingis stonde perfit.
De aceea, îmbrăcați-vă cu toată armura lui Dumnezeu, ca să puteți rezista în ziua cea rea și, după ce ați făcut totul, să rămâneți în picioare.
14 Therfor stonde ye, and be gird aboute youre leendis in sothefastnesse, and clothid with the haburioun of riytwisnesse,
Rămâneți deci în picioare, având centura utilă a adevărului încheiată la brâu, îmbrăcând platoșa neprihănirii,
15 and youre feet schood in making redi of the gospel of pees.
și încălțându-vă picioarele cu pregătirea Bunei Vestiri a păcii,
16 In alle thingis take ye the scheld of feith, in which ye moun quenche alle the firy dartis of `the worste.
și, mai presus de toate, luând scutul credinței, cu care veți putea stinge toate săgețile aprinse ale celui rău.
17 And take ye the helm of helthe, and the swerd of the Goost, that is, the word of God.
și luați coiful mântuirii și sabia Duhului, care este Cuvântul lui Dumnezeu;
18 Bi al preier and bisechyng preie ye al tyme in spirit, and in hym wakinge in al bisynesse, and bisechyng for alle hooli men, and for me;
cu toată rugăciunea și cererile, rugându-vă în orice moment în Duhul și veghind în acest scop cu toată stăruința și cererile pentru toți sfinții.
19 that word be youun to me in openyng of my mouth, with trist to make knowun the mysterie of the gospel,
Rugați-vă pentru mine, ca să mi se dea posibilitatea de a-mi deschide gura, ca să fac cunoscut cu îndrăzneală misterul Bunei Vestiri,
20 for which Y am set in message in a chayne; so that in it Y be hardi to speke, as it bihoueth me.
pentru care sunt ambasador în lanțuri; ca în el să vorbesc cu îndrăzneală, așa cum trebuie să vorbesc.
21 And ye wite, what thingis ben aboute me, what Y do, Titicus, my moost dere brother, and trewe mynystre in the Lord, schal make alle thingis knowun to you;
Dar, ca să știți și voi cum stau lucrurile cu mine și cum mă descurc, Tihic, fratele preaiubit și slujitorul credincios în Domnul, vă va face cunoscute toate lucrurile.
22 whom Y sente to you for this same thing, that ye knowe what thingis ben aboute vs, and that he coumforte youre hertis.
Tocmai de aceea vi l-am trimis la voi, ca să cunoașteți starea noastră și ca să vă mângâie inimile.
23 Pees to britheren, and charite, with feith of God oure fadir, and of the Lord Jhesu Crist.
Pace fraților și dragoste cu credință, de la Dumnezeu Tatăl și de la Domnul Isus Hristos.
24 Grace with alle men that louen oure Lord Jhesu Crist in vncorrupcioun. Amen, `that is, So be it.
Harul să fie cu toți cei ce iubesc pe Domnul nostru Isus Hristos cu dragoste incoruptibilă. Amin.
