< Deuteronomy 9 >
1 Here thou, Israel; thou schalt passe Jordan to dai, that thou welde mooste naciouns, and strengere than thou; grete citees, and wallid `til to heuene;
Nụrụ, Izrel! Taa ka ị na-aga ịgafe osimiri Jọdan ịbanye ka inweta ala mba ndị dị ukwuu na ndị dị ike karịa gị, inweta obodo ndị dị ukwuu nke nwere mgbidi ha dị elu ruo nʼeluigwe.
2 a greet puple, and hiy; the sones of Enachym, whiche thi silf `siest, and herdist, whiche no man may ayenstonde in the contrarie part.
Ndị bi nʼime ha bụ ndị Anak, ndị gbara dimkpa, too ogologo nke ukwuu. Ị maara banyere ha. Ị nụkwaala ka e kwuru sị, “Onye pụrụ iguzo onwe ya nʼihu ụmụ Anak?”
3 Therfor thou schalt wite to dai, that thi Lord God hym silf schal passe bifor thee; he is a fier deuourynge and wastynge, that schal al to breke hem, and schal do awei, and destrie bifor thi face swiftli, as he spak to thee.
Ma mata taa na Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị bụ onye na-aga nʼihu gị dịka ọkụ na-erepịa erepịa. Ọ ga-ala ha nʼiyi. Ọ bụkwa ya ga-eme ka unu lụgbuo ha, chụpụ ha, bibiekwa ha ngwangwa dịka Onyenwe anyị kwere gị na nkwa.
4 Seie thou not in thin herte, whanne thi Lord God hath do hem awey in thi siyt, For my riytfulnesse the Lord brouyte me yn, that Y schulde welde this lond; sithen these naciouns ben doon awey for her wickidnessis.
Mgbe Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị sitere nʼihu gị chụpụ ha, asịla onwe gị, “Onyenwe anyị akpọbatala m nʼebe a, ka m nweta ala a nʼihi ezi omume m.” Mba, ọ bụ naanị nʼihi ajọ omume nke mba ndị a bi nʼala ahụ ka Onyenwe anyị ji esite nʼihu gị chụpụ ha.
5 For not for thi riytfulnessis, and equyte of thin herte thou schalt entre that thou welde the lond `of hem; but for thei diden wickidli, thei weren doon awey, whanne thou entridist, and that the Lord schulde fille his word which he bihiyte vndur an ooth to thi fadris, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Ọ bụghị nʼihi ezi omume gị, maọbụ izi ezi nke obi gị ka ị ga-eji nweta ala ahụ, kama ọ bụ nʼihi ajọ omume nke mba ndị a bi nʼime ya ka Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị ga-eji achụpụ ha site nʼihu gị. Ọ na-emekwa ya nʼihi imezu nkwa ahụ o kwere nna nna gị ha bụ Ebraham, Aịzik, na Jekọb.
6 Therfor wite thou that not for thi riytfulnesses thi Lord God yaf to thee this beste lond in to possessioun, sithen thou art a puple of hardeste nol.
Ya mere, ghọta ya nke ọma na Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị anaghị enye gị ezi ala a ka inweta ya nʼihi ezi omume gị, nʼihi na unu bụ ndị isiike.
7 Haue thou mynde, and foryete not, hou in the wildirnesse thou terridist thi Lord God to greet wraththe; fro that dai in which thou yedist out of Egipt `til to this place, thou striuedist euere ayens the Lord.
Chetakwa nke a ma echefukwala otu i si kpasuo Onyenwe anyị Chineke gị iwe, mgbe mgbe, nʼime ọzara. Site nʼụbọchị ị hapụrụ Ijipt tutu ruo taa, ka ị na-enupu isi nʼebe Onyenwe anyị nọ.
8 For whi also in Oreb thou terridist hym, and he was wrooth, and wolde do thee awei, whanne Y stiede in to the hil,
Unu kpasuru Onyenwe anyị iwe nʼugwu Horeb, ya mere o jiri were iwe laa unu nʼiyi.
9 that Y schulde take two tablis of stoon, the tablis of couenaunt which the Lord made with you, and Y continuede in the hil fourti daies and nyytis, and Y eet not breed, and Y drank not watir.
Mgbe m rigooro nʼelu ugwu ahụ ịnata mbadamba nkume ndị ahụ bụ mbadamba nkume ọgbụgba ndụ dị nʼetiti Onyenwe anyị na unu, anọrọ m nʼelu ugwu ahụ iri ụbọchị anọ, ehihie na abalị, ọ dịghị nri m riri, ọ dịghịkwa mmiri m ṅụrụ.
10 And the Lord yaf to me, twey tablis of stoon, euer either wrytun with Goddis fyngur, and conteynynge alle the wordis whiche he spak to you in the hil, fro the myddis of the fier, whanne the cumpany of puple was gaderid togidere.
Onyenwe anyị nyere m mbadamba nkume abụọ ndị ahụ, nke eji mkpịsịaka Chineke dee. Edekwasịrị nʼelu ha iwu niile nke Onyenwe anyị gwara unu nʼugwu ahụ site nʼetiti ọkụ, nʼụbọchị mkpọkọta ahụ.
11 And whanne fourti daies and so many nyytis hadden passid, the Lord yaf to me twei tablis of stoon, tablis of boond of pees;
Mgbe iri abalị anọ gwụrụ Onyenwe anyị nyere m mbadamba nkume abụọ ndị ahụ, bụ mbadamba nkume ọgbụgba ndụ.
12 and he seide to me, Rise thou, and go doun for hennys soone, for thi puple, which thou leddist out of Egipt, han forsake swiftli the weie which thou schewidist to hem, and thei han maad to hem a yotun calf.
Mgbe ahụ ka Onyenwe anyị gwara m sị m, “Rịdata ọsịịsọ, nʼihi na ndị gị, ndị i si nʼIjipt dupụta, emerụọla onwe ha, ha emeela ngwangwa iwezuga onwe ha site nʼiwu m nyere ha. Ha emeerela onwe ha nwa ehi a kpụrụ akpụ, ka ọ bụrụ chi ha.”
13 And eft the Lord seide to me, `Y se that this puple is of hard nol;
Onyenwe anyị gwara m sị, “Ahụla m na ndị a bụ ndị isiike nʼezie.
14 suffre thou me, that I alto breke hym, and do awey the name `of hym fro vndur heuene; and Y schal ordeyne thee on a folk which is grettere and strongere than this folk.
Hapụ m, ka m kpochapụ ma hichapụkwa aha ha site nʼokpuru eluigwe. Aga m emekwa gị ka ị ghọọ mba dị ike karịa, dịkwa ọtụtụ nʼọnụọgụgụ karịa ha.”
15 And whanne Y cam doun fro the hil brennynge, and helde with euer either hond twei tablis of boond of pees, and Y seiy,
Ya mere, atụgharịrị m malite isi nʼugwu ahụ na-enwu ọkụ rịdata, ejikwa m mbadamba nkume abụọ nke ọgbụgba ndụ ahụ nʼaka m.
16 that ye hadde synned to youre Lord God, and hadden maad to you a yotun calf, and hadden forsake swiftli the weie of God which he schewide to you,
Mgbe m lepụrụ anya, ahụrụ m na unu emeela mmehie megide Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu. Unu akpụọlara onwe unu arụsị nʼụdị nwa ehi. Unu esitela nʼịgbaso iwu Onyenwe anyị wezuga onwe unu ọsịịsọ.
17 Y castide doun the tablis fro myn hondis, and brak tho tablis in youre siyt.
Mgbe ahụ, ewere m mbadamba nkume abụọ ahụ, tụpụ ha site nʼaka m abụọ, kụrie ha nʼihu unu.
18 And Y felde doun bifor the Lord as `biforto, in fourti daies and fourti nyytis, and Y eet not breed, `and drank not watir, for alle youre synnes whiche ye diden ayens the Lord, and terriden hym to `greet wraththe;
Mgbe ahụ, adara m nʼala ọzọ nʼihu Onyenwe anyị. Iri ụbọchị anọ, ehihie na abalị, erighị m nri maọbụ ṅụọ ihe ọṅụṅụ ọbụla, nʼihi mmehie niile unu mere. Unu mere ihe ọjọọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị si otu a kpasuo ya iwe nke ukwuu.
19 for Y dredde the indignacioun and yre of hym, by which he was stirid ayens you, and wolde do you awey. And the Lord herde me also in this tyme.
Atụrụ m egwu iwe na ọnụma nke Onyenwe anyị, nʼihi na iwe ya dị ukwuu megide unu ruo na ikpochapụ unu. Ma nʼoge ahụ, Onyenwe anyị gere ntị nʼarịrịọ m.
20 Also the Lord was wrooth greteli ayens Aaron, and wolde alto breke hym, and Y preiede in lijk maner for hym.
Nʼoge ahụ, Erọn nʼonwe ya, nọrọ nʼoke nsogbu, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị were iwe megide ya, chọọ ibibi ya, ma arịọrọ m Onyenwe anyị arịrịọ nʼihi ya.
21 `Forsothe Y took youre synne which ye maden, that is, the calf, and brente it in fier, and Y alto brak in gobetis, and droof outerli in to dust, and castide forth in to the stronde, that cam doun fro the hil.
Mgbe ahụ, eweere m ngwa ọrụ mmehie unu, ya bụ nwa ehi ahụ unu kpụrụ, kpọọ ya ọkụ, tipịa ya, gwerie ya nke ọma dịka ntụ, wụnye ntụ ya nʼime mmiri nke si nʼugwu na-asọpụta.
22 Also in the brennyng, and in the temptacioun at the watris of ayenseiyng, and in the Sepulcris of Coueytise, ye terriden the Lord;
Ọzọkwa, unu kpasuru Onyenwe anyị iwe na Tabera, na Masa, ọ bụladị na Kibrọt Hataava.
23 and whanne Y sente you fro Cades Barne, and seide, `Stye ye, and welde the lond which Y yaf to you, and ye dispisiden the comaundement of youre Lord God, and ye bileueden not to him, nether ye wolden here his vois;
Mgbe Onyenwe anyị si na Kadesh Banea zipụ unu ọ sị unu, “Gaanụ nweta ala ahụ m nyere unu.” Ma unu nupuru isi nʼiwu Onyenwe anyị Chineke unu nyere unu. Unu ekwenyeghị maọbụ rubere ya isi.
24 but euere ye weren rebel, fro the day in which Y bigan to knowe you.
Site nʼụbọchị m maara ndị unu bụ, ọ dịbeghị mgbe unu na-enupughị isi nʼebe Onyenwe anyị nọ.
25 And Y lay byfore the Lord fourti daies and fourti nyytis, in whiche Y bisouyte hym mekeli, that he schulde not `do awey you, as he manaasside.
Ọ bụ ya mere m jiri daa nʼala nʼihu Onyenwe anyị iri ụbọchị anọ, ehihie na abalị, nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị kwuru na ọ ga-ala unu nʼiyi.
26 And Y preiede, and seide, Lord God, distrye not thi puple, and thin eritage, which thou `ayen bouytist in thi greetnesse, which thou leddist out of Egipt in strong hond.
Ekpere m ekpere nʼoge ahụ nye Onyenwe anyị sị ya, “Onye kachasị ihe niile elu, bụ Onyenwe anyị biko, alala ndị gị nʼiyi, nʼihi na ha bụ ihe nketa gị, bụrụkwa ndị i ji ike aka gị na ebube gị gbapụta site nʼIjipt.
27 Haue thou mynde of thi seruauntis, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; biholde thou not the hardnesse of this puple, and the wickidnesse, and the synne therof,
Elekwasịla nnupu isi ha na isiike ha anya, kama, cheta nkwa gị, nke i kwere ndị ohu gị, Ebraham, Aịzik, na Jekọb. Biko, agụnyela ndụ ọjọọ ha, na mmehie ha megide ha.
28 lest perauenture the dwelleris of the lond, out of which thou leddist vs, seien, The Lord myyte not bryng hem in to the lond which he bihiyte to hem, and he hatide hem; therfor he ledde hem out that he schulde sle hem in wildirnesse;
Ma ọ bụghị otu a, ndị obodo ahụ nke i si na ya kpọpụta anyị ga-asị, ‘Ọ bụ nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị apụghị inye ha ala o kwere ha na nkwa ka o ji laa ha nʼiyi. Nʼihi na ọ kpọrọ ha asị, ka o ji kpọbata ha nʼime ọzara mee ka ha nwụọ nʼebe ahụ.’
29 and thei ben thi puple and thin eritage, which thou leddist out in thi greet strengthe, and in thin arm holdun forth.
Ma ha bụ ndị gị, ha bụkwa ihe nketa gị. Ha bụ ndị i sitere nʼike gị dị egwu na ike nke aka gị kpọpụta site nʼIjipt.”
