Deuteronomy 5
1 And Moises clepide al Israel, and seide to hym, Here, thou Israel, the cerymonyes and domes, whiche Y speke to dai in youre eeris; lerne ye tho, and `fille ye in werk.
१मूसा ने सारे इस्राएलियों को बुलवाकर कहा, “हे इस्राएलियों, जो-जो विधि और नियम मैं आज तुम्हें सुनाता हूँ वे सुनो, इसलिए कि उन्हें सीखकर मानने में चौकसी करो।
2 Oure Lord God made a boond of pees with vs in Oreb;
२हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तो होरेब पर हम से वाचा बाँधी।
3 he made not couenaunt, `that is, of lawe writun, with oure fadris, but with vs that ben present, and lyuen.
३इस वाचा को यहोवा ने हमारे पितरों से नहीं, हम ही से बाँधा, जो यहाँ आज के दिन जीवित हैं।
4 Face to face he spak to vs in the hil, fro the myddis of the fier.
४यहोवा ने उस पर्वत पर आग के बीच में से तुम लोगों से आमने-सामने बातें की;
5 Y was recouncelere and mediatour bitwixe God and you in that tyme, that Y schulde telle to you the wordis `of hym, for ye dredden the fier, and `stieden not in to the hil. And `the Lord seide,
५उस आग के डर के मारे तुम पर्वत पर न चढ़े, इसलिए मैं यहोवा के और तुम्हारे बीच उसका वचन तुम्हें बताने को खड़ा रहा। तब उसने कहा,
6 Y am thi Lord God, that ladde thee out of the lond of Egipt, fro the hows of seruage.
६‘तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा, जो तुझे दासत्व के घर अर्थात् मिस्र देश में से निकाल लाया है, वह मैं हूँ।
7 Thou schalt not haue alien Goddis in my siyt.
७‘मुझे छोड़ दूसरों को परमेश्वर करके न मानना।
8 Thou schalt not make to thee a grauun ymage, nether a licnesse of alle thingis that ben in heuene aboue, and that ben in erthe bynethe, and that lyuen in watris vndur erthe;
८‘तू अपने लिये कोई मूर्ति खोदकर न बनाना, न किसी की प्रतिमा बनाना जो आकाश में, या पृथ्वी पर, या पृथ्वी के जल में है;
9 thou schalt not herie tho, `and thou schalt not worschipe tho; for Y am thi Lord God, `God a feruent louyer; and Y yelde the wickidnesse of fadris, in to sones in to the thridde and the fourthe generacioun to hem that haten me,
९तू उनको दण्डवत् न करना और न उनकी उपासना करना; क्योंकि मैं तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा जलन रखनेवाला परमेश्वर हूँ, और जो मुझसे बैर रखते हैं उनके बेटों, पोतों, और परपोतों को पितरों का दण्ड दिया करता हूँ,
10 and Y do mersy in to many thousyndis to hem that louen me, and kepen myn heestis.
१०और जो मुझसे प्रेम रखते और मेरी आज्ञाओं को मानते हैं उन हजारों पर करुणा किया करता हूँ।
11 Thou schalt not mystake the name of thi Lord God in veyn, for he schal not be vnpunyschid, that takith the name of God on a veyn thing.
११‘तू अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा का नाम व्यर्थ न लेना; क्योंकि जो यहोवा का नाम व्यर्थ ले वह उनको निर्दोष न ठहराएगा।
12 Kepe thou the `day of sabat that thou halewe it, as thi Lord God comaundide to thee.
१२‘तू विश्रामदिन को मानकर पवित्र रखना, जैसे तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे आज्ञा दी।
13 In sixe daies thou schalt worche, and thou schalt do alle thi werkis;
१३छः दिन तो परिश्रम करके अपना सारा काम-काज करना;
14 the seventhe day is `of sabat, that is the reste of thi Lord God. Thou schalt not do therynne ony thing of werk; thou, and thi sone, and douyter, seruaunt, and handmaide, and oxe, and asse, and `al thi werk beeste, and the pilgrym which is with ynne thi yatis; that thi seruaunt reste and thin handmaide, as also thou.
१४परन्तु सातवाँ दिन तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा के लिये विश्रामदिन है; उसमें न तू किसी भाँति का काम-काज करना, न तेरा बेटा, न तेरी बेटी, न तेरा दास, न तेरी दासी, न तेरा बैल, न तेरा गदहा, न तेरा कोई पशु, न कोई परदेशी भी जो तेरे फाटकों के भीतर हो; जिससे तेरा दास और तेरी दासी भी तेरे समान विश्राम करे।
15 Bithenke thou, that also thou seruedist in Egipt, and thi Lord God ledde thee out fro thennus, in a strong hond, and arm holdun forth; therfor he comaundide to thee, that thou schuldist kepe the `dai of sabat.
१५और इस बात को स्मरण रखना कि मिस्र देश में तू आप दास था, और वहाँ से तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे बलवन्त हाथ और बढ़ाई हुई भुजा के द्वारा निकाल लाया; इस कारण तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे विश्रामदिन मानने की आज्ञा देता है।
16 Onoure thi fadir and thi modir, as thi Lord God comaundide to thee, that thou lyue in long tyme, and that it be wel to thee, in the lond which thi Lord God schal yyue to thee.
१६‘अपने पिता और अपनी माता का आदर करना, जैसे कि तेरे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुझे आज्ञा दी है; जिससे जो देश तेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा तुझे देता है उसमें तू बहुत दिन तक रहने पाए, और तेरा भला हो।
17 Thou schalt not sle.
१७‘तू खून न करना।
18 Thou schalt not do letcherie.
१८‘तू व्यभिचार न करना।
19 And thou schalt not do thefte.
१९‘तू चोरी न करना।
20 Thou schalt not speke fals witnessyng ayens thi neiybore.
२०‘तू किसी के विरुद्ध झूठी साक्षी न देना।
21 Thou schalt not coueite `the wijf of thi neiybore, not hows, not feeld, not seruaunt, not handmayde, not oxe, not asse, and alle thingis that ben hise.
२१‘तू न किसी की पत्नी का लालच करना, और न किसी के घर का लालच करना, न उसके खेत का, न उसके दास का, न उसकी दासी का, न उसके बैल या गदहे का, न उसकी किसी और वस्तु का लालच करना।’
22 The Lord spak these wordis to al youre multitude, in the hil, fro the myddis of fier and of cloude and of myist, with greet vois, and addide no thing more; and he wroot tho wordis in two tablis of stoon, whiche he yaf to me.
२२यही वचन यहोवा ने उस पर्वत पर आग, और बादल, और घोर अंधकार के बीच में से तुम्हारी सारी मण्डली से पुकारकर कहा; और इससे अधिक और कुछ न कहा। और उन्हें उसने पत्थर की दो पटियाओं पर लिखकर मुझे दे दिया।
23 Forsothe after that ye herden the vois fro the myddis of the derknessis, and sien the hil brenne, alle ye princis of lynagis, and the grettere men in birthe, neiyiden to me, and seiden, Lo!
२३“जब पर्वत आग से दहक रहा था, और तुम ने उस शब्द को अंधियारे के बीच में से आते सुना, तब तुम और तुम्हारे गोत्रों के सब मुख्य-मुख्य पुरुष और तुम्हारे पुरनिए मेरे पास आए;
24 oure Lord God schewide to vs his maieste and greetnesse; we herden his vois fro the myddis of fier, and we preueden to day that a man lyuede, `while God spak with man.
२४और तुम कहने लगे, ‘हमारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने हमको अपना तेज और अपनी महिमा दिखाई है, और हमने उसका शब्द आग के बीच में से आते हुए सुना; आज हमने देख लिया कि यद्यपि परमेश्वर मनुष्य से बातें करता है तो भी मनुष्य जीवित रहता है।
25 Whi therfor schulen we die, and schal this gretteste fier deuoure vs? For if we heren more the vois of oure Lord God, we schulen die.
२५अब हम क्यों मर जाएँ? क्योंकि ऐसी बड़ी आग से हम भस्म हो जाएँगे; और यदि हम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा का शब्द फिर सुनें, तब तो मर ही जाएँगे।
26 What is ech man, that he here the vois of God lyuynge, that spekith fro the myddis of fier, as we herden, and that he may lyue?
२६क्योंकि सारे प्राणियों में से कौन ऐसा है जो हमारे समान जीवित और अग्नि के बीच में से बोलते हुए परमेश्वर का शब्द सुनकर जीवित बचा रहे?
27 Rathere neiye thou, and here thou alle thingis whiche oure Lord God schal seie to thee; and thou schalt speke to vs, and we schulen here, and schulen do tho wordis.
२७इसलिए तू समीप जा, और जो कुछ हमारा परमेश्वर यहोवा कहे उसे सुन ले; फिर जो कुछ हमारा परमेश्वर यहोवा कहे उसे हम से कहना; और हम उसे सुनेंगे और उसे मानेंगे।’
28 And whanne the Lord hadde herd this, he seide to me, Y herde the vois of the wordis of this puple, whiche thei spaken to thee; thei spaken wel alle thingis.
२८“जब तुम मुझसे ये बातें कह रहे थे तब यहोवा ने तुम्हारी बातें सुनीं; तब उसने मुझसे कहा, ‘इन लोगों ने जो-जो बातें तुझ से कही हैं मैंने सुनी हैं; इन्होंने जो कुछ कहा वह ठीक ही कहा।
29 Who schal yyue `that thei haue siche soule, that thei drede me, and kepe alle my comaundementis in al tyme, that it be wel to hem and to the sones `of hem, with outen ende?
२९भला होता कि उनका मन सदैव ऐसा ही बना रहे, कि वे मेरा भय मानते हुए मेरी सब आज्ञाओं पर चलते रहें, जिससे उनकी और उनके वंश की सदैव भलाई होती रहे!
30 Go thou, and seye to hem, Turne ye ayen in to youre tentis.
३०इसलिए तू जाकर उनसे कह दे, कि अपने-अपने डेरों को लौट जाओ।
31 Sotheli stonde thou here with me, and Y schal speke to thee alle comaundementis, and cerymonyes, and domes, whiche thou schalt teche hem, that thei do tho in the lond which Y schal yyue to hem in to possessioun.
३१परन्तु तू यहीं मेरे पास खड़ा रह, और मैं वे सारी आज्ञाएँ और विधियाँ और नियम जिन्हें तुझे उनको सिखाना होगा तुझ से कहूँगा, जिससे वे उन्हें उस देश में जिसका अधिकार मैं उन्हें देने पर हूँ मानें।’
32 Therfor kepe ye, and `do ye tho thingis, whiche the Lord God comaundide to you; ye schulen not bowe awey, nether to the riyt side nether to the left side,
३२इसलिए तुम अपने परमेश्वर यहोवा की आज्ञा के अनुसार करने में चौकसी करना; न तो दाएँ मुड़ना और न बाएँ।
33 but ye schulen go bi the weie whiche youre Lord God comaundide, that ye lyue, and that it be wel to you, and that youre daies be lengthid in the lond of youre possessioun.
३३जिस मार्ग पर चलने की आज्ञा तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा ने तुम को दी है उस सारे मार्ग पर चलते रहो, कि तुम जीवित रहो, और तुम्हारा भला हो, और जिस देश के तुम अधिकारी होगे उसमें तुम बहुत दिनों के लिये बने रहो।
