Deuteronomy 34
1 Therfor Moyses stiede fro the feeldi places of Moab on the hil of Nebo, in to the cop of Fasga, ayens Gerico. And the Lord schewide to hym al the lond of Galaad `til to Dan,
Moïse monta des plaines de Moab au mont Nébo, au sommet du Pisga, qui est en face de Jéricho. Yahvé lui montra tout le pays de Galaad jusqu'à Dan,
2 and al Neptalym, and the lond of Effraym and of Manasses, and al the lond of Juda, `til to the laste see; and the south part,
tout Nephtali, le pays d'Éphraïm et de Manassé, et tout le pays de Juda, jusqu'à la mer Occidentale,
3 and the breede of the feeld of Jerico, of the citee of Palmes `til to Segor.
et le sud, la plaine de la vallée de Jéricho, la ville des palmiers, jusqu'à Zoar.
4 And the Lord seide to hym, This is the lond for which Y swoor to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and Y seide, Y schal yyue it to thi seed; thou hast seyn it with thin iyen, and thou schalt not passe `to it.
Yahvé lui dit: « Voici le pays que j'ai juré à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob, en disant: « Je le donnerai à ta postérité ». Je te l'ai fait voir de tes yeux, mais tu n'y passeras pas. »
5 And Moyses, the seruaunt of the Lord, was deed there, in the lond of Moab, `for the Lord comaundide.
Et Moïse, serviteur de Yahvé, mourut là, au pays de Moab, selon la parole de Yahvé.
6 And the Lord biriede hym in a valey of the lond of Moab, ayens Fegor, and no man knewe his sepulcre `til in to present day.
Il fut enterré dans la vallée du pays de Moab, en face de Beth Peor, mais personne ne sait encore aujourd'hui où se trouve sa tombe.
7 Moises was of an hundrid and twenti yeer whanne he diede; his iye dasewide not, nethir hise teeth weren stirid.
Moïse était âgé de cent vingt ans lorsqu'il mourut. Son œil ne s'était pas affaibli, et sa force n'avait pas disparu.
8 And the sones of Israel biwepten hym thretti daies in the feeldi places of Moab; and the daies of weilyng of men `bymorenynge Moises weren fillid.
Les enfants d'Israël pleurèrent Moïse dans les plaines de Moab pendant trente jours, jusqu'à ce que les jours de deuil de Moïse fussent terminés.
9 Forsothe Josue, the sone of Nun, was fillid with `the spyrit of wisdom, for Moises settide hise hondis on hym; and the sones of Israel obeieden to Josue, and diden as the Lord comaundide to Moises.
Josué, fils de Nun, était rempli de l'esprit de sagesse, car Moïse avait posé ses mains sur lui. Les enfants d'Israël l'écoutèrent et firent ce que l'Éternel avait ordonné à Moïse.
10 And `a profete roos no more in Israel `as Moises, whom the Lord knewe face to face,
Depuis lors, il n'a pas paru en Israël de prophète semblable à Moïse, que l'Éternel a connu face à face,
11 in alle myraclis, and grete wondris, whiche the Lord sente bi hym, that he schulde do in the lond of Egipt to Farao, and alle hise seruauntis, and to al the lond `of hym,
par tous les signes et les prodiges que l'Éternel l'a envoyé faire au pays d'Égypte, à Pharaon, à tous ses serviteurs et à tout son pays,
12 and al strong hond, and the `grete merueylis, whiche Moyses dide bifor al Israel.
par toute la puissance de sa main et par toutes les merveilles qu'il a faites aux yeux de tout Israël.
