Deuteronomy 23
1 A geldyng whanne hise stoonys ben brokun, ethir kit awey, and his yerde is kit awei, schal not entre in to the chirche of the Lord.
೧ಬೀಜಹೊಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಅಥವಾ ರಹಸ್ಯಾಂಗವನ್ನು ಛೇದಿಸಿಕೊಂಡವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರಬಾರದು.
2 A child borun of hordom schal not entre in to the chirche of the Lord, `til to the tenthe generacioun.
೨ಅನೈತಿಕ ಸಂಬಂಧದಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು, ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ತಲೆಯವರಾದರೂ ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಸೇರಬಾರದು.
3 Ammonytis and Moabitis, yhe aftir the tenthe generacioun, schulen not entre into the `chirche of the Lord with outen ende;
೩ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರಾಗಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ಸೇರಬಾರದು. ಅವರ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಹತ್ತನೆಯ ತಲೆಯವರಾದರೂ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಸೇರಬಾರದು.
4 for thei nolden come to you with breed and watir in the weie, whanne ye yeden out of Egipt; and for thei hireden ayens thee Balaam, the sone of Beor, fro Mesopotanye of Sirye, that he schulde curse thee;
೪ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನೀವು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅಮ್ಮೋನಿಯರು ಅನ್ನಪಾನಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಮೋವಾಬ್ಯರು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಬೆಯೋರನ ಮಗನಾದ ಬಿಳಾಮನಿಗೆ ಹಣಕೊಟ್ಟು ಎರಡು ನದಿಗಳ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಪೆತೋರ್ ಊರಿನಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕರೆಯಿಸಿದರು.
5 and thi Lord God nolde here Balaam, and God turnede `the cursyng of Balaam in to thi blessyng, for he louyde thee.
೫ಆದರೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬಿಳಾಮನ ಮಾತಿಗೆ ಸಮ್ಮತಿಸದೆ ಅವನಿಂದ ಶಾಪವನ್ನು ನುಡಿಸದೆ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದನು.
6 Thou schalt not make pees with hem, nethir thou schalt seke goodis to hem, in alle the daies of thi lijf in to with outen ende.
೬ನಿಮ್ಮ ಜೀವಮಾನಕಾಲವೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವರ ಯೋಗಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಬಯಸಲೇ ಬಾರದು.
7 Thou schalt not `haue abhomynacioun of a man of Ydumye, for he is thi brothir, nethir of a man of Egipt, for thou were a comelyng in the lond of hym.
೭ಎದೋಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಬಾರದು; ಅವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಹತ್ತಿರ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರು. ಐಗುಪ್ತ್ಯರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಬಾರದು; ಅವರ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಿರಲ್ಲಾ.
8 Thei that ben borun of hem, schulen entre in the thridde generacioun in to the `chirche of the Lord.
೮ಅವರ ಸಂತತಿಯವರಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೆಯ ತಲೆಯವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸಭೆಗೆ ಸೇರಬಹುದು.
9 Whanne thou schalt go out `in to batel ayens thin enemyes, thou schalt kepe thee fro al yuel thing.
೯ನೀವು ಶತ್ರುಗಳೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಪಾಳೆಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ಯಾವ ಅಶುದ್ಧ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳು ನಡೆಯದಂತೆ ಎಚ್ಚರದಿಂದಿರಬೇಕು.
10 If a man is among you, which is defoulid in `sleep of nyyt, he schal go out of `the castels;
೧೦ರಾತ್ರಿಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ವೀರ್ಯಸ್ಖಲನದಿಂದ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಅಶುದ್ಧನಾದರೆ, ಅವನು ಪಾಳೆಯದೊಳಗೆ ಇರದೆ ಹೊರಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕು.
11 and he schal not turne ayen bifore that he be waischun in watir at euentid, and aftir the goyng doun of the sunne he schal go ayen in to the castels.
೧೧ಅವನು ಸಂಜೆಯ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ನಾನಮಾಡಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ಮುಳುಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಳೆಯದೊಳಗೆ ಬರಬಹುದು.
12 Thou schalt haue a place without the castels, to which thou schalt go out to nedeful thingis of kynde;
೧೨ಪಾಳೆಯದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಪಾಯಖಾನೆಗಾಗಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಗೊತ್ತುಮಾಡಬೇಕು.
13 and thou schalt bere a litil stake in the girdil; and whanne thou hast sete, thou schalt digge `bi cumpas, and `thou schalt hile with erthe thingis `defied out,
೧೩ಯುದ್ಧದ ಸಾಮಾನುಗಳಲ್ಲದೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಲಿಕೆ ಇರಬೇಕು; ನೀವು ಬಹಿರ್ಭೂಮಿಗೆ ಹೋದಾಗ ಆ ಸಲಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ಅಗೆದು ಕಲ್ಮಷವನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚಿಬಿಡಬೇಕು.
14 where thou art releuyd. For thi Lord God goeth in the myddis of castels, that he diliuere thee, and bitake thin enemyes to thee, that thi castels be hooli, and no thing of filthe appere in tho, lest he forsake thee.
೧೪ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈವಶಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪಾಳೆಯದೊಳಗೆ ಸಂಚಾರಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲಾ; ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಪಾಳೆಯವು ನಿಮರ್ಲವಾಗಿರಬೇಕು; ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಅಶುದ್ಧವೇನಾದರೂ ಕಂಡುಬಂದರೆ ಆತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದಾನು.
15 Thou schalt not bitake a seruaunt to his lord, which seruaunt fleeth to thee;
೧೫ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡ ಗುಲಾಮನು ನಿಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದರೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ದಣಿಗೆ ಪುನಃ ವಶಪಡಿಸಬಾರದು.
16 he schal dwelle with thee in the place that plesith hym, and he schal reste in oon of thi citees; and make thou not hym sori.
೧೬ನಿಮ್ಮ ಊರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸ್ಥಳವು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆಯೋ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಅವನು ವಾಸವಾಗಿರಬಹುದು; ಅವನನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಪಡಿಸಬಾರದು ಹಾಗೂ ನೀವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತೆ ಶೋಷಣೆಗೆ ಗುರಿಮಾಡಬಾರದು.
17 Noon hoore schal be of the douytris of Israel, nether a letchour of the sones of Israel.
೧೭ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೂ ದೇವದಾಸಿಯಾಗಬಾರದು; ಯಾವ ಪುರುಷನೂ ಅಂತಹ ವೇಶ್ಯೆತನಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿಯಬಾರದು.
18 Thou schalt not offre the hire of `an hoore hows, nether the prijs of a dogge, in the hows of thi Lord God, what euer thing it is that thou hast avowid; for euer eithir is abhomynacioun bifor thi Lord God.
೧೮ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಪುರುಷ ಅಥವಾ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯೂ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರದಿಂದ ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದ ಹಣವನ್ನು ಹರಕೆಯಾಗಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಲಯದೊಳಗೆ ತರಲೇಬಾರದು. ಈ ಎರಡೂ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯವಾದ ವಿಷಯ.
19 Thou schalt not leene to thi brothir to vsure money, neither fruytis,
೧೯ಹಣವನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಆಹಾರಪದಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ಪರದೇಶದವನಿಗೆ ಬಡ್ಡಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಹುದೇ ಹೊರತು ಸ್ವದೇಶದವನಿಗೆ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು.
20 nethir ony othir thing, but to an alien. Forsothe thou schalt leene to thi brothir without vsure that that he nedith, that thi Lord God blesse thee in al thi werk, in the lond to which thou schalt entre to welde.
೨೦ಹೀಗೆ ನಡೆದರೆ ನೀವು ಸ್ವದೇಶವಾಗಿ ಪಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಪಡಿಸುವನು.
21 Whanne thou makist auow to thi Lord God, thou schalt not tarie to yelde, for thi Lord God schal `requyre, ether axe, that; and if thou tariest, it schal be arretid to thee in to synne.
೨೧ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಹರಕೆಮಾಡಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಡಮಾಡದೆ ತೀರಿಸಬೇಕು; ಆತನು ತಪ್ಪದೆ ಅದನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವನು; ತೀರಿಸದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದು ಪಾಪ.
22 If thou `nylt bihete, thou schalt be with out synne.
೨೨ನೀವು ಹರಕೆಮಾಡದಿದ್ದರೆ ದೋಷವೇನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ;
23 Forsothe thou schalt kepe, and `do that that yede out onys of thi lippis, as thou bihiytist to thi Lord God, and hast spoke with thin owne wille and thi mouth.
೨೩ಆದರೆ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ನುಡಿದದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲೇಬೇಕು. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ಹರಕೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಂತೆಯೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಬಿಡಬೇಕು.
24 If thou entrist in to the vynere of thi neiybore, ete thou grapis, as myche as plesith thee; but bere thou not out with thee.
೨೪ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಿತೋಟದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀವು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಇಷ್ಟಾನುಸಾರವಾಗಿ ಹಣ್ಣುಗಳನ್ನು ತಿನ್ನಬಹುದೇ ಹೊರತು ಪಾತ್ರೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ತುಂಬಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗಬಾರದು.
25 If thou entrist in to `the corn of thi freend, thou schalt breke `eeris of corn, and frote togidere with `the hond; but thou schalt not repe with a sikil.
೨೫ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನ ಪೈರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ತೆನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಮುರಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದೇ ಹೊರತು ಆ ಪೈರಿಗೆ ಕುಡುಗೋಲು ಹಾಕಬಾರದು.
