Deuteronomy 16
1 Kepe thou the monethe of newe fruytis, and of the bigynnyng of somer, that thou make pask to thi Lord God; for in this monethe thi Lord God ledde thee out of Egipt in the nyyt.
"Achte auf den Ährenmonat, daß du dem Herrn, deinem Gott, Passah haltest! Denn im Ährenneumond hat dich der Herr, dein Gott, bei Nacht aus Ägypten geführt.
2 And thou schalt offre pask to thi Lord God, of scheep and of oxun, in the place which thi Lord God chees, that his name dwelle there.
Schlachte als Passahopfer für den Herrn, deinen Gott, Schafe und Rinder an der Stätte, die der Herr erwählt, um seinen Namen dort wohnen zu lassen!
3 Thou schalt not ete `ther ynne breed `diyt with sourdouy; in seuene daies thou schalt ete breed of affliccioun, with out sourdouy, for in drede thou yedist out of Egipt, that thou haue mynde of the dai of thi goyng out of Egipt, in alle the daies of thi lijf.
Du sollst nichts Gesäuertes dazu essen! Du sollst sieben Tage darum ungesäuerte Brote, gemeine Kost essen! Denn in Hast bist du aus dem Ägypterland gezogen. Daß du des Tages deines Auszuges aus Ägypterland all dein Leben gedenkest!
4 No thing `diyt with sourdouy schal appere in alle thi termes by seuene daies, and of the fleischis of that that is offrid in the euentid, schal not dwelle in the firste dai in the morewtid.
Sieben Tage darf in deinem ganzen Bereich kein Sauerteig bei dir gesehen werden. Von dem am Abend des ersten Tages geopferten Fleisch darf nichts über die Nacht bis zum Morgen bleiben.
5 Thou schalt not mow offre pask in ech of thi citees whiche thi Lord God schal yyue to thee,
Du darfst nicht das Passah in einer deiner Ortschaften feiern, die dir der Herr, dein Gott, gibt.
6 but in the place which thi Lord God chees, that his name dwelle there; thou schalt offre pask in the euentid, at the goyng doun of the sunne, whanne thou yedist out of Egipt.
Nur an der vom Herrn, deinem Gott, zur Wohnung seines Namens erwählten Stätte sollst du das Passah schlachten, am Abend bei Sonnenuntergang, um die Zeit deines Auszuges aus Ägypten!
7 And thou schalt sethe, and ete, in the place which thi Lord God hath chose, and thou schalt rise in the morewtid of the secunde dai, and thou schalt go in to thi tabernaclis.
Koch und iß es an der vom Herrn, deinem Gott, erwählten Stätte! Am anderen Morgen reise ab und gehe zu deinen Zelten!
8 Bi sixe daies thou schalt ete therf breed; and in the seuenthe dai, for it is the gaderyng of thi Lord God, thou schalt not do werk.
Sechs Tage noch sollst du ungesäuerte Brote essen! Am siebten sei Festversammlung zu Ehren des Herrn, deines Gottes! Da darfst du keine Arbeit tun.
9 Thou schalt noumbre to thee seuene woukis, fro that dai in which thou settidist a sikil in to the corn;
Abzählen sollst du dir sieben Wochen! Vom Anlegen der Sichel an die Halme sollst du anfangen, sieben Wochen zu zählen!
10 and thou schalt halewe the feeste dai of woukis to thi Lord God, a wilful offryng of thyn hond, which thou schalt offre by the blessing of thi Lord God.
Dann halte dem Herrn, deinem Gott, das Wochenfest mit den freiwilligen Gaben, die deine Hand spendet, je nachdem dich der Herr, dein Gott, segnete
11 And thou schalt ete bifore thi Lord God, thou, and thi sone, and thi douytir, and thi seruaunt, and thin handmayde, and the dekene which is with ynne thi yatis, and the comelynge, and the fadirles ethir modirles child, and the widue, that dwellen with you, in the place `which thi Lord God chees that his name dwelle there.
Sei fröhlich vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott, du, dein Sohn, deine Tochter, dein Knecht, deine Magd, der Levite in deiner Siedlung, der Fremdling, die Waise und die Witwe bei dir an der vom Herrn, deinem Gott, zur Wohnung seines Namens erwählten Stätte!
12 And thou schalt haue mynde for thou were seruaunt in Egipt, and thou schalt kepe and do tho thingis that ben comaundid.
Gedenke, daß du in Ägypten Sklave gewesen bist! Halte sorgsam diese Gebote!
13 And thou schalt halewe the solempnytee of tabernaclis bi seuene daies, whanne thou hast gaderid thi fruytis of the cornfloor, and pressour.
Das Laubhüttenfest sollst du sieben Tage feiern, wenn du den Ertrag deiner Tenne und Kelter einheimst!
14 And thou schalt ete in thi feeste dai, thou, and thi sone, and douytir, and thi seruaunt, and handmayde, also the dekene, and comelyng, and the fadirles ether modirles child, and the widewe, that ben with ynne thi yatis, `schulen ete.
Sei an diesem Feste fröhlich, du, dein Sohn, deine Tochter, dein Knecht, deine Magd, der Levite, der Fremdling, die Waise und die Witwe in deinen Toren!
15 Bi seuene daies thou schalt halewe feestis to thi Lord God, in the place which the Lord chees; and thi Lord God schal blesse thee, in alle thi fruytis, and in al the werk of thin hondis, and thou schalt be in gladnesse.
Sieben Tage sollst du feiern ein Fest dem Herrn, deinem Gott, an der vom Herrn erwählten Stätte! Denn der Herr, dein Gott, segnet dich in all deinem Ertrag und bei allem Tun deiner Hände. Darum sei nur froh!
16 In thre tymes bi the yeer al thi male kynde schal appere in the siyt of thi Lord, in the place which he chees, in the solempnyte of therf looues, and in the solempnyte of woukis, and in the solempnyte of tabernaclis. A man schal not appere voide bifor the Lord;
Dreimal im Jahr erscheine all dein Mannsvolk vor dem Herrn, deinem Gott, an der von ihm erwählten Stätte: am Fest der ungesäuerten Brote, am Wochenfest und am Laubhüttenfest! Man darf aber nicht leer vor dem Herrn erscheinen.
17 but ech man schal offre vpe this that he hath, bi the blessyng of his Lord God, which he yaf to `that man.
Jeder spende, was er geben kann, je nach dem Segen, den der Herr, dein Gott, dir gegeben!
18 Thou schalt ordeyne `iugis, and maystris, in alle thi yatis whiche thi Lord God schal yyue to thee, bi ech of thi lynagis, that thei deme the puple bi iust doom,
Richter und Beamte sollst du dir einsetzen in all deinen Toren, die dir der Herr, dein Gott, gibt! Sie sollen das Volk gerecht richten!
19 and bowe not in `to the tother part for fauour, ethir yifte `ayens equete. Thou schalt not take persoone nether yiftis, for whi yiftis blynden the iyen of wise men, `and chaungen the wordis of iust men.
Beugen darfst du nicht das Recht, noch parteiisch sein! Du darfst keine Geschenke annehmen. Denn das Geschenk blendet der Weisen Augen und verdreht die Worte der Gerechten.
20 Thou schalt pursue iustli that that is iust, that thou lyue and welde the lond which thi Lord God schal yyue to thee.
Nur das Recht sollst du im Auge haben, auf daß du lebest und das Land besitzest, das der Herr, dein Gott, dir gibt!
21 Thou schalt not plaunte a wode, and ech tre bi the auter of thi Lord God;
Du sollst dir nicht als heiligen Pfahl irgendwelchen Baum einpflanzen neben des Herrn, deines Gottes, Altar, den du dir machen wirst!
22 nether thou schalt make to thee, and ordeyne an ymage; whiche thingis thi Lord God hatith.
Errichten sollst du dir kein Steinmal, was der Herr, dein Gott, haßt!"
