Colossians 2
1 But Y wole that ye wite, what bisynesse Y haue for you, and for hem that ben at Laodice, and whiche euere saien not my face in fleisch,
PORQUE quiero que sepais cuan gran solicitud tengo por vosotros, y [por] los [que están] en Laodicéa, y [por] todos los que nunca vieron mi rostro en carne,
2 that her hertis ben coumfortid, and thei ben tauyt in charite, in to alle the richessis of the plente of the vndurstondyng, in to the knowyng of mysterie of God, the fadir of Jhesu Crist,
Para que sean confortados sus corazones, unidos en amor, y en todas riquezas de cumplido entendimiento, para conocer el misterio de Dios, y del Padre, y de Cristo;
3 in whom alle the tresouris of wisdom and of science ben hid.
En el cual están escondidos todos los tesoros de sabiduría y conocimiento.
4 For this thing Y seie, that no man disseyue you in heiythe of wordis.
Y esto digo, para que nadie os engañe con palabras persuasivas.
5 For thouy Y be absent in bodi, bi spirit Y am with you, ioiynge and seynge youre ordre and the sadnesse of youre bileue that is in Crist.
Porque aunque estoy ausente con el cuerpo, no obstante con el espíritu estoy con vosotros, gozándome y mirando vuestro concierto, y la firmeza de vuestra fé en Cristo.
6 Therfor as ye han takun Jhesu Crist oure Lord,
Por tanto de la manera que habeis recibido al Señor Jesu-Cristo, andad en él:
7 walke ye in hym, and be ye rootid and bieldid aboue in hym, and confermyd in the bileue, as ye han lerud, aboundinge in hym in doynge of thankyngis.
Arraigados y sobreedificados en él, y confirmados en la fé, así como [lo] habeis aprendido, creciendo en ella con hacimiento de gracias.
8 Se ye that no man disseyue you bi filosofie and veyn fallace, aftir the tradicioun of men, aftir the elementis of the world, and not aftir Crist.
Mirad que ninguno os engañe por filosofías, y vanas sutilezas, segun las tradiciones de los hombres, conforme á los elementos del mundo, y no segun Cristo.
9 For in hym dwellith bodilich al the fulnesse of the Godhed.
Porque en él habita toda la plenitud de la Divinidad corporalmente:
10 And ye ben fillid in hym, that is heed of al principat and power.
Y en él estais cumplidos, el cual es la cabeza de todo principado y potestad:
11 In whom also ye ben circumcidid in circumcisioun not maad with hoond, in dispoyling of the bodi of fleisch, but in circumcisioun of Crist;
En el cual tambien sois circuncidados de circuncision, no hecha con manos, con el despojamiento del cuerpo de los pecados de la carne en la circuncision de Cristo:
12 and ye ben biried togidere with hym in baptim, in whom also ye han rise ayen bi feith of the worching of God, that reiside hym fro deth.
Sepultados juntamente con él en el bautismo, en el cual tambien resucitasteis con [él, ] por la fe de la operacion de Dios que le levantó de los muertos.
13 And whanne ye weren deed in giltis, and in the prepucie of youre fleisch, he quikenyde togidere you with hym;
Y á vosotros, estando muertos en pecados y [en] la incircuncision de vuestra carne, os vivifico juntamente con él, perdonándoos todos los pecados,
14 foryyuynge to you alle giltis, doynge awei that writing of decre that was ayens vs, that was contrarie to vs; and he took awei that fro the myddil, pitchinge it on the cros;
Rayendo la cédula de los ritos que nos era contraria, que era contra nosotros, quitándola de en medio y enclavándola en la cruz;
15 and he spuylide principatis and poweris, and ledde out tristili, opynli ouercomynge hem in hym silf.
Y despojando los principados y las potestades, sacólos á la vergüenza en público, triunfando de ellos en sí mismo.
16 Therfor no man iuge you in mete, or in drink, or in part of feeste dai, or of neomenye,
Por tanto nadie os juzgue en comida, ó en bebida, ó en parte de dia de fiesta, ó de nueva luna, ó de Sábados:
17 or of sabatis, whiche ben schadewe of thingis to comynge; for the bodi is of Crist.
Lo cual es la sombra de lo [que estaba] por venir; mas el cuerpo [es] de Cristo.
18 No man disseyue you, willynge to teche in mekenesse, and religioun of aungelis, tho thingis whiche he hath not seyn, walkinge veynli, bolnyd with wit of his fleisch,
Nadie os prive de vuestro premio, afectando humildad y culto á los ángeles, metiéndose en lo que no ha visto, vanamente hinchado en el sentido de su propia carne,
19 and not holdynge the heed, of which al the bodi, bi boondis and ioynyngis togidere vndur mynystrid and maad, wexith in to encreessing of God.
Y no teniendo la Cabeza, de la cual todo el cuerpo, alimentado y conjunto por [sus] ligaduras y conjunturas, crece en aumento de Dios.
20 For if ye ben deed with Crist fro the elementis of this world, what yit as men lyuynge to the world demen ye?
Pues si sois muertos con Cristo cuanto á los rudimentos del mundo, ¿por qué, como si vivieseis al mundo, os someteis á ordenanzas,
21 That ye touche not, nether taaste,
[Tales como] no manejes, ni gustes, ni aun toques,
22 nether trete with hoondis tho thingis, whiche alle ben in to deth bi the ilke vss, aftir the comaundementis and the techingis of men;
(Las cuales cosas son todas para destruccion en el uso [mismo, ]) en conformidad á mandamientos y doctrinas de hombres?
23 whiche han a resoun of wisdom in veyn religioun and mekenesse, and not to spare the bodi, not in ony onour to the fulfillyng of the fleisch.
Tales cosas tienen á la verdad cierta reputacion de sabiduría en culto voluntario, y humildad, y en duro trato del cuerpo; no en alguna honra para el saciar de la carne.
