2 Thessalonians 3
1 Britheren, fro hennus forward preye ye for vs, that the word of God renne, and be clarified, as it is anentis you;
Finalmente, irmãos, orem por nós, para que a palavra do Senhor se espalhe rapidamente e seja glorificada, como também com vocês,
2 and that we be delyuered fro noyous and yuele men; for feith is not of alle men.
e para que possamos ser libertados de homens irracionais e maus; pois nem todos têm fé.
3 But the Lord is trewe, that schal conferme you, and schal kepe fro yuel.
Mas o Senhor é fiel, que vos estabelecerá e vos protegerá do maligno.
4 And, britheren, we trusten of you in the Lord, for what euere thingis we comaunden to you, bothe ye don and schulen do.
Temos confiança no Senhor em relação a vocês, que ambos fazem e farão as coisas que mandamos.
5 And the Lord dresse youre hertis, in the charite of God, and in the pacience of Crist.
Que o Senhor dirija seus corações para o amor de Deus e para a perseverança de Cristo.
6 But, britheren, we denouncen to you in the name of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that ye withdrawe you from ech brother that wandrith out of ordre, and not aftir the techyng, that thei resseyueden of vs.
Agora vos mandamos, irmãos, em nome de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, que vos retireis de cada irmão que caminha em rebelião e não depois da tradição que receberam de nós.
7 For `ye silf witen, hou it bihoueth to sue vs. For we weren not vnpesible among you,
Pois vós sabeis como devíeis imitar-nos. Pois não nos comportamos com rebeldia entre vocês,
8 nethir with outen oure owne trauel we eeten breed of ony man, but in trauel and werynesse worchiden niyt and dai, that we greuyden noon of you.
nem comemos pão da mão de ninguém sem pagar por ele, mas em trabalho de parto e trabalho de parto trabalhamos noite e dia, para não sobrecarregar nenhum de vocês.
9 Not as we hadden not power, but that we schulden yyue vs silf ensaumple to you to sue vs.
Isto não foi porque não temos o direito, mas para nos tornarmos um exemplo para vocês, que deveriam nos imitar.
10 For also whanne we weren among you, we denounsiden this thing to you, that if ony man wole not worche, nethir ete he.
Pois mesmo quando estávamos com vocês, nós lhes ordenamos isto: “Se alguém não está disposto a trabalhar, não o deixe comer”.
11 For we han herd that summe among you goon in reste, and no thing worchen, but don curiousli.
Pois ouvimos falar de alguns que caminham entre vocês em rebelião, que não trabalham de forma alguma, mas que são corpulentos.
12 But we denouncen to hem that ben suche men, and bisechen in the Lord Jhesu Crist, that thei worchen with silence, and ete her owne breed.
Agora aqueles que são assim, nós comandamos e exortamos no Senhor Jesus Cristo, que trabalhem com tranqüilidade e comam seu próprio pão.
13 But nyle ye, britheren, faile wel doynge.
Mas vocês, irmãos, não se cansem de fazer o que é certo.
14 That if ony man obeie not to oure word bi epistle, marke ye him, and comyne ye not with hym, that he be schamed;
Se algum homem não obedecer a nossa palavra nesta carta, note que esse homem e não ter companhia com ele, até o fim, pode se envergonhar.
15 and nyle ye gesse hym as an enemye, but repreue ye hym as a brother. And God hym silf of pees yyue to you euerlastinge pees in al place.
Não o considere como um inimigo, mas o admoeste como um irmão.
16 The Lord be with `you alle.
Agora que o próprio Senhor da paz lhe dê a paz em todos os momentos e de todas as maneiras. Que o Senhor esteja com todos vocês.

Eu, Paul, escrevo esta saudação com minha própria mão, que é o sinal em cada carta. É assim que eu escrevo.
18 The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist be with `alle you. Amen.
