2 Samuel 7
1 Forsothe it was doon, whanne the kyng Dauid hadde sete in his hows, and the Lord hadde youe reste to hym on ech side fro alle hise enemyes,
and to be for to dwell [the] king in/on/with house: palace his and LORD to rest to/for him from around from all enemy his
2 he seyde to Nathan the prophete, Seest thou not, that Y dwelle in an hows of cedre, and the arke of God is put in the myddis of skynnys?
and to say [the] king to(wards) Nathan [the] prophet to see: behold! please I to dwell in/on/with house: home cedar and ark [the] God to dwell in/on/with midst [the] curtain
3 And Nathan seide to the kyng, Go thou, and do al thing which is in thin herte, for the Lord is with thee.
and to say Nathan to(wards) [the] king all which in/on/with heart your to go: went to make: do for LORD with you
4 Forsothe it was don in that niyt, and lo! the word of the Lord, seiynge to Nathan, Go thou,
and to be in/on/with night [the] he/she/it and to be word LORD to(wards) Nathan to/for to say
5 and speke to my servaunt Dauid, The Lord seith these thingis, Whether thou schalt bilde to me an hows to dwelle ynne?
to go: went and to say to(wards) servant/slave my to(wards) David thus to say LORD you(m. s.) to build to/for me house: home to/for to dwell me
6 For Y `dwellide not in an hows fro the dai in which Y ledde the sones of Israel out of the lond of Egipt til in to this dai; but Y yede in tabernacle and in tent,
for not to dwell in/on/with house: home to/for from day: today to ascend: establish I [obj] son: descendant/people Israel from Egypt and till [the] day: today [the] this and to be to go: walk in/on/with tent and in/on/with tabernacle
7 bi alle places, to whiche Y passyde with alle the sones of Israel? Whether Y spekynge spak to oon of the lynagis of Israel, to whom Y comaundyde, that he schulde feede my puple Israel, and seide, Whi `bildidist thou not an hows of cedre to me?

8 And now thou schalt seie these thingis to my seruaunt Dauid, The Lord of oostis seith these thingis, Y took thee fro lesewis suynge flockis, that thou schuldist be duyk on my puple Israel, and Y was with thee in alle thingis,
and now thus to say to/for servant/slave my to/for David thus to say LORD Hosts I to take: take you from [the] pasture from after [the] flock to/for to be leader upon people my upon Israel
9 where euere thou yedist, and Y killide alle thin enemyes fro thi face, and Y made to thee a greet name bi the name of grete men that ben in erthe;
and to be with you in/on/with all which to go: went and to cut: eliminate [emph?] [obj] all enemy your from face: before your and to make to/for you name great: large like/as name [the] great: large which in/on/with land: country/planet
10 and Y schall sette a place to my puple Israel, and Y schal plaunte hym, and Y schal dwelle with hym, and he schal no more be troblid, and the sones of wickidnesse schulen not adde, that thei turmente hym as bifor,
and to set: appoint place to/for people my to/for Israel and to plant him and to dwell underneath: stand him and not to tremble still and not to add: again son: descendant/people injustice to/for to afflict him like/as as which in/on/with first: previous
11 fro the dai in which Y ordenede iugis on my puple Israel; and Y schal yyue reste to thee fro alle thin enemyes. And the Lord biforseith to thee, that `the Lord schal mak an hows to thee;
and to/for from [the] day which to command to judge upon people my Israel and to rest to/for you from all enemy your and to tell to/for you LORD for house: household to make to/for you LORD
12 and whanne thi daies be fillid, and thou hast slept with thi fadris, Y schal reyse thi seed aftir thee, which schal go out of thi wombe, and Y schal make `stidfast his rewme.
for to fill day your and to lie down: lay down with father your and to arise: establish [obj] seed: children your after you which to come out: produce from belly your and to establish: establish [obj] kingdom his
13 He schal bilde an hows to my name, and Y schal make stable the troone of his rewme til in to with outen ende;
he/she/it to build house: home to/for name my and to establish: establish [obj] throne kingdom his till forever: enduring
14 Y schal be to hym in to fadir, and he schal be to me in to a sone; and if he schal do ony thing wickidli, Y schal chastise hym in the yerde of men, and in the woundis of the sones of men.
I to be to/for him to/for father and he/she/it to be to/for me to/for son: child which in/on/with to pervert he and to rebuke him in/on/with tribe: staff human and in/on/with plague son: child man
15 Forsothe Y schal not do awey my mercy fro hym, as Y dide awei fro Saul, whom Y remouede fro my face.
and kindness my not to turn aside: depart from him like/as as which to turn aside: remove from from with Saul which to turn aside: remove from to/for face: before your
16 And thin hows schal be feithful, and thi rewme schal be til in to with outen ende bifor my face, and thi trone schal be stidfast contynueli.
and be faithful house: household your and kingdom your till forever: enduring to/for face: before your throne your to be to establish: establish till forever: enduring
17 By alle these wordys, and bi al this reuelacioun, so Nathan spak to Dauid.
like/as all [the] word [the] these and like/as all [the] vision [the] this so to speak: speak Nathan to(wards) David
18 Forsothe Dauid the kyng entride, and satt bifor the Lord, and seide, Who am Y, my Lord God, and what is myn hows, that thou brouytist me hidur to?
and to come (in): come [the] king David and to dwell to/for face: before LORD and to say who? I Lord YHWH/God and who? house: household my for to come (in): bring me till here
19 But also this is seyn litil in thi siyt, my Lord God; no but thou schuldist speke also of the hows of thi seruaunt in to long tyme. Forsothe this is the lawe of Adam, Lord God;
and be small still this in/on/with eye: appearance your Lord YHWH/God and to speak: speak also to(wards) house: household servant/slave your to/for from distant and this custom [the] man Lord YHWH/God
20 what therfor may Dauid adde yit, that he speke to thee? For thou, Lord God, knowist thi seruaunt; thou hast do alle these grete thingis,
and what? to add David still to/for to speak: speak to(wards) you and you(m. s.) to know [obj] servant/slave your Lord YHWH/God
21 for thi word, and bi thin herte, so that thou madist knowun to thi seruaunt.
in/on/with for the sake of word: promised your and like/as heart your to make: do [obj] all [the] greatness [the] this to/for to know [obj] servant/slave your
22 Herfor, Lord God, thou art magnyfied, for noon is lijk thee, ne there is no God outakun thee, in alle thingis whiche we herden with oure eeris.
upon so to magnify Lord YHWH/God for nothing like you and nothing God exception you in/on/with all which to hear: hear in/on/with ear our
23 Sotheli what folk in erthe is as the puple of Israel, for which the Lord God yede, that he schulde ayenbie it to him in to a puple, and schulde sette to hym silf a name, and schulde do to it grete thingis, and orible on erthe, in castinge out therof the folk and `goddis therof fro the face of thi puple, which thou `ayen bouytist to thee fro Egipt?

24 And thou confermidist to thee thi puple Israel in to a puple euerlastynge, and thou, Lord, art maad in to God to hem.
and to establish: establish to/for you [obj] people your Israel to/for you to/for people till forever: enduring and you(m. s.) LORD to be to/for them to/for God
25 Now therfor, Lord God, reise thou withouten ende the word that thou hast spoke on thi seruaunt and on his hows, and do as thou hast spoke;
and now LORD God [the] word which to speak: speak upon servant/slave your and upon house: household his to arise: establish till forever: enduring and to make: do like/as as which to speak: speak
26 and thy name be magnyfied til in to withouten ende, and be it seid, The Lord of oostis is God on Israel; and the hows of thi seruaunt Dauid schal be stablischid byfor the Lord;
and to magnify name your till forever: enduring to/for to say LORD Hosts God upon Israel and house: household servant/slave your David to be to establish: establish to/for face: before your
27 for thou, Lord of oostis, God of Israel, hast maad reuelacioun to the eere of thi seruaunt, and seidist, Y schal bilde an hows to thee; therfor thi seruaunt foond his herte, that he schulde preie thee bi this preier.
for you(m. s.) LORD Hosts God Israel to reveal: reveal [obj] ear: to ears servant/slave your to/for to say house: home to build to/for you upon so to find servant/slave your [obj] heart his to/for to pray to(wards) you [obj] [the] prayer [the] this
28 Now therfor, Lord God, thou art veri God, and thi wordis schulen be trewe; for thou hast spoke these goodis to thi seruaunt;
and now Lord YHWH/God you(m. s.) he/she/it [the] God and word your to be truth: certain and to speak: promise to(wards) servant/slave your [obj] [the] welfare [the] this
29 therfor bigynne thou, and blesse the hows of thi seruaunt, that it be withouten ende bifor thee; for thou, Lord God, hast spoke these thingis, and bi thi blessyng the hows of thi seruaunt schal be blessid withouten ende.
and now be willing and to bless [obj] house: household servant/slave your to/for to be to/for forever: enduring to/for face: before your for you(m. s.) Lord YHWH/God to speak: speak and from blessing your to bless house: household servant/slave your to/for forever: enduring
