2 Samuel 24

1 And the strong veniaunce of the Lord addide to be wrooth ayens Israel, and he stiride in hem Dauid, seiynge to Joab, Go thou, and noumbre thou Israel and Juda.

At ang galit ng Panginoon ay nagalab uli laban sa Israel, at kaniyang kinilos si David laban sa kanila, na sinabi, Ikaw ay yumaon, iyong bilangin ang Israel at Juda.

2 And the kyng seide to Joab, the prince of his oost, Go thou bi alle lynagis of Israel fro Dan `til to Bersabee, and noumbre thou the puple, that Y wite the noumbre therof.

At sinabi ng hari kay Joab na puno ng hukbo, na kasama niya, Magparoo't parito ka nga sa lahat ng mga lipi ng Israel, mula sa Dan hanggang sa Beer-seba, at bilangin ninyo ang bayan, upang aking maalaman ang kabuoan ng bayan.

3 And Joab seide to the kyng, Thi Lord God encresse to this puple, `hou greet it is now, and eft multiplie he an hundrid fold in the siyt of my lord the kyng; but what wole my lord the kyng to hym silf in sich a thing?

At sinabi ni Joab sa hari, Ngayo'y dagdagan ng Panginoon mong Dios ang bayan, sa gaano man karami sila, ng makaisang daan pa; at makita ng mga mata ng aking panginoon na hari: nguni't bakit nalulugod ang panginoon ko na hari sa bagay na ito?

4 Sotheli the word of the kyng ouer cam the wordis of Joab, and of the princes of the oost; and Joab yede out, and the princes of the knyytis, fro the face of the kyng, that thei schulden noumbre the puple of Israel.

Gayon ma'y ang salita ng hari ay nanaig laban kay Joab, at laban sa mga puno ng hukbo. At si Joab at ang mga puno ng hukbo ay nagsilabas mula sa harapan ng hari upang bilangin ang bayan ng Israel.

5 And whanne thei hadden passid Jordan, thei camen in to Aroer, to the riyt side of the citee which is in the valei of Gad;

At sila'y nagsitawid ng Jordan, at nagsihantong sa Aroer sa dakong kanan ng bayan na nasa gitna ng libis ng Gad, at sa Jazer:

6 and thei passiden bi Jazer in to Galaad, and in to the lowere lond of Odsi, and camen in to the wodi places of Dan; and thei cumpassiden bisidis Sidon,

Saka sila nagsiparoon sa Galaad, at sa lupain ng Tatimhodsi; at sila'y nagsidating sa Dan-jaan at sa palibot hanggang sa Sidon.

7 and passiden nyy the wallis of Tire, and nyy al the lond of Euei, and of Chananei; and thei camen to the south of Juda, in Bersabee.

At nagsiparoon sa katibayan ng Tiro, at sa lahat ng mga bayan ng mga Heveo, at ng mga Cananeo; at sila'y nagsilabas sa timugan ng Juda, sa Beer-seba.

8 And whanne al the lond was cumpassid, thei camen aftir nyne monethis and twenti daies in to Jerusalem.

Sa gayon nang sila'y makapagparoo't parito na, sa buong lupain, ay nagsiparoon sila sa Jerusalem sa katapusan ng siyam na buwan at dalawang pung araw.

9 Therfor Joab yaf the noumbre of discriuyng of the puple to the kyng. And of Israel weren foundun nyne hundryd thousynd of stronge men, that drewen out swerd; and of Juda fyue hundrid thousynde of fiyteris.

At ibinigay ni Joab sa hari ang bilang ng pagkabilang sa bayan; at mayroon sa Israel na walong daang libo na matapang na lalake na nagsisihawak ng tabak; at ang mga tao sa Juda ay limang daang libong lalake.

10 Forsothe the herte of Dauid smoot hym, `that is, his concience repreuyde hym, aftir that the puple was noumbrid; and Dauid seide to the Lord, Y synnede greetli in this dede; but, Lord, Y preye that thou turne awei the wickidnesse of thi seruaunt, for Y dide ful folili.

At ang puso ni David ay sinaktan niya pagkatapos na kaniyang nabilang ang bayan. At sinabi ni David sa Panginoon, Ako'y nagkasala ng malaki sa aking nagawa: nguni't ngayo'y isinasamo ko sa iyo na iyong pawiin ang kasamaan ng iyong lingkod; sapagka't aking ginawa ng buong kamangmangan.

11 Therfor Dauid roos eerli, and the word of the Lord was maad to Gad, the prophete and seere, and seide, Go thou,

At nang bumangon si David sa kinaumagahan, ang salita ng Panginoon ay dumating sa propeta Gad na tagakita ni David, na sinasabi,

12 and speke to Dauid, The Lord seith these thingis, The chesyng of thre thingis is youun to thee; chese thou oon, which thou wolt of these, that Y do to thee.

Ikaw ay yumaon at salitain mo kay David, Ganito ang sabi ng Panginoon, Pinagpapalagayan kita ng tatlong bagay; pumili ka ng isa sa mga yaon upang aking magawa sa iyo.

13 And whanne Gad hadde come to Dauid, he telde to Dauid, and seide, Ether hungur schal come to thee in thi lond seuene yeer; ethir thre monethis thou schalt fle thin aduersaries, and thei schulen pursue thee; ether certis thre daies pestilence schal be in thi lond; now therfor delyuere thou, `ether auyse thou, and se, what word Y schal answere to hym that sente me.

Sa gayo'y naparoon si Gad kay David, at nagsaysay sa kaniya: at nagsabi sa kaniya, Darating ba sa iyo ang pitong taon na kagutom sa iyong lupain? o tatakas ka bang tatlong buwan sa harap ng iyong mga kaaway samantalang hinahabol ka nila? o magkakaroon ba ng tatlong araw na pagkasalot sa iyong lupain? ngayo'y muniin mo, at dilidilihin mo kung anong kasagutan ang aking ibabalik doon sa nagsugo sa akin.

14 Forsothe Dauid seide to Gad, Y am constreyned on ech side greetli; but it is betere that Y falle in to the hondis of the Lord, for his emercies ben manye, than in the hondis of men.

At sinabi ni David kay Gad, Ako'y nasa totoong kagipitan: mahulog tayo ngayon sa kamay ng Panginoon; sapagka't ang kaniyang mga kaawaan ay dakila: at huwag akong mahulog sa kamay ng tao.

15 And the Lord sente pestilence in to Israel fro the morewtid `til to the tyme ordeyned; and seuenti thousynde of men weren deed of the puple fro Dan `til to Bersabee.

Sa gayo'y nagsugo ang Panginoon ng salot sa Israel mula sa umaga hanggang sa takdang panahon: at namatay sa bayan mula sa Dan hanggang sa Beer-seba ay pitong pung libong lalake.

16 And whanne the aungel of the Lord hadde holde forth his hond ouer Jerusalem, that he schulde distrie it, the Lord hadde mercy on the turmentyng; and seide to the aungel smytynge the puple, It sufficith now; withholde thin hond. Forsothe the aungel of the Lord was bisidis the corn floor of Areuna Jebusey.

At nang iunat ng anghel ang kaniyang kamay sa dakong Jerusalem upang gibain ay nagsisi ang Panginoon sa kasamaan, at sinabi sa anghel na lumipol ng bayan, Siya na; ngayo'y itigil mo ang iyong kamay. At ang anghel ng Panginoon ay nasa giikan ni Arauna na Jebuseo.

17 And Dauid seide to the Lord, whanne he hadde seyn the aungel sleynge the puple, Y am he that `haue synned, and Y dide wickidli; what han these do, that ben scheep? Y biseche, thin hond be turned ayens me, and ayens the hows of my fadir.

At nagsalita si David sa Panginoon, nang kaniyang makita ang anghel na sumakit sa bayan, at nagsabi, Narito, ako'y nagkasala, at ako'y gumawa ng kalikuan; nguni't ang mga tupang ito, ano ang ginawa? isinasamo ko sa iyo na ang iyong kamay ay maging laban sa akin, at laban sa sangbahayan ng aking ama.

18 Forsothe Gad, the prophete, cam to Dauid in that dai, and seide to hym, Stie thou, and ordeyne an auter to the Lord in the corn floor of Areuna Jebusei.

At si Gad ay naparoon sa araw na yaon kay David, at nagsabi sa kaniya, Ikaw ay yumaon, magtayo ka ng isang dambana sa Panginoon sa giikan ni Arauna na Jebuseo.

19 And Dauid stiede, vpe the word of Gad, which the Lord hadde comaundid to hym.

At si David ay umahon ayon sa sinabi ni Gad, kung paanong iniutos ng Panginoon.

20 And Areuna bihelde, and perseyuede, that the kyng and hise seruauntis passiden to hym;

At tumanaw si Arauna, at nakita ang hari, at ang kaniyang mga lingkod na nagsisilapit sa kaniya; at si Arauna ay lumabas at nagpatirapa sa harap ng hari.

21 and he yede out, and worschipide the kyng bi low cheer to the erthe; and seide, What `cause is, that my lord the kyng cometh to his seruaunt? To whom Dauid seide, That Y bie of thee the corn floor, and bilde an auter to the Lord, and the sleynge ceesse, which is cruel in the puple.

At sinabi ni Arauna: Bakit ang aking panginoon na hari ay naparito sa kaniyang lingkod? At sinabi ni David, Upang bilhin ang giikan sa iyo, na mapagtayuan ng isang dambana sa Panginoon, upang ang salot ay magtigil sa bayan.

22 And Areuna seide to Dauid, My lord the kyng take, and offre, as it plesith hym; thou hast oxis in to brent sacrifice, and a wayn and yockis of oxis in to vss of wode.

At sinabi ni Arauna kay David, Kunin ng aking panginoon na hari, at ihandog kung ano ang inaakala niyang mabuti: narito, ang mga baka na panghandog na susunugin, at ang mga kagamitan sa giikan at ang mga pamatok ng mga baka na pang kahoy:

23 Areuna yaf alle thingis to the king. And Areuna seide to the king, Thi Lord God reseyue thi vow.

Ang lahat na ito, Oh hari, ibinibigay ni Arauna sa hari. At sinabi ni Arauna sa hari, Tanggapin ka nawa ng Panginoon mong Dios.

24 To whom the king answeride, and seide, Not as thou wolt, but Y schal bie of thee for prijs, and Y schal not offre to `my Lord God brent sacrifices youun freli. Therfor Dauid bouyte the corn floor, and `he bouyte oxis for fifti siclis of siluer.

At sinabi ng hari kay Arauna, Huwag; kundi katotohanang bibilhin ko sa iyo sa halaga: hindi nga ako maghahandog ng mga handog na susunugin sa Panginoon kong Dios na hindi nagkahalaga sa akin ng anoman. Sa gayo'y binili ni David ang giikan at ang mga baka ng limang pung siklong pilak.

25 And Dauid bildide there an auter to the Lord, and offride brent sacrifices and pesible sacrifices; and the Lord dide merci to the lond, and the veniaunce was refreyned fro Israel.

At nagtayo roon si David ng isang dambana sa Panginoon, at naghandog ng mga handog na susunugin at ng mga handog tungkol sa kapayapaan. Sa gayo'y nadalanginan ang Panginoon dahil sa lupain, at ang salot ay tumigil sa Israel.
