2 Kings 9
1 Forsothe Elisee, the prophete, clepide oon of the sones of prophetis, and seide to hym, Girde thi leendis, and take this vessel of oile in thin hond, and go in to Ramoth of Galaad.
Profeten Elisa kallade till sig en av profetlärjungarna och sade till honom: »Omgjorda dina länder och tag denna oljeflaska med dig, och gå till Ramot i Gilead.
2 And whanne thou schalt come thidur, thou schalt se Hieu, sone of Josephat, sone of Namsi; and thou schalt entre, and schalt reise hym fro the myddis of hise britheren, and thou schalt lede hym in to the ynnere closet.
Och när du har kommit dit, så sök upp Jehu, son till Josafat, son till Nimsi, och gå in och bed honom stå upp, där han sitter bland sina bröder, och för honom in i den innersta kammaren.
3 And thou schalt holde the vessel of oile, and schalt schede on his heed, and schalt seie, The Lord seith these thingis, I haue anoyntid thee in to kyng on Israel; and thou schalt opene the dore, and schalt flee, and schalt not abide there.
Tag så oljeflaskan och gjut olja på hans huvud och säg: 'Så säger HERREN: Jag har smort dig till konung över Israel.' Öppna sedan dörren och fly, utan att dröja.»
4 Therfor the yong wexynge man, the child of the prophete, yede in to Ramoth of Galaad, and entride thidur.
Så gick då den unge mannen, profetens tjänare, åstad till Ramot i Gilead.
5 Lo! sotheli the princes of the oost saten; and he seide, A! prince, Y haue a word to thee. And Hieu seide, To whom of alle vs? And he seide, To thee, thou prince.
Och när han kom dit, fick han se härens hövitsmän sitta där. Då sade han: »Jag har ett ärende till dig, hövitsman.» Jehu frågade: »Till vem av oss alla här?» Han svarade: »Till dig själv, hövitsman.»
6 And he roos, and entride into the closet. And thilk child schedde oile on the heed of hym, and seide, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Y haue anointid thee in to kyng on the puple of the Lord of Israel; and thou schalt smyte the hows of Achab,
Då stod han upp och gick in i huset; och han göt oljan på hans huvud och sade till honom: »Så säger HERREN Israels Gud: Jag har smort dig till konung över HERRENS folk, över Israel.
7 thi lord, that Y venge the blood of my seruauntis prophetis, and the blood of alle the seruauntis of the Lord, of the hond of Jezabel.
Och du skall förgöra Ahabs, din herres, hus; ty jag vill på Isebel hämnas mina tjänare profeterna blod, ja, alla HERRENS tjänares blod.
8 And Y schal lese al the hows of Achab, and Y schal sle of the hows of Achab a pissere to the wal, and closid, and the laste in Israel.
Och Ahabs hela hus skall förgås jag skall utrota allt mankön av Ahab hus, både små och stora i Israel.
9 And Y schal yyue the hows of Achab as the hows of Jeroboam, sone of Nabat, and as the hous of Baasa, sone of Ahia.
Och jag skall göra med Ahab hus såsom jag gjorde med Jerobeams, Nebats sons, hus, och såsom jag gjorde med Baesas, Ahias sons, hus.
10 Also doggis schulen ete Jezabel in the feeld of Jezrael; and `noon schal be that schal birie hir. And `the child openyde the dore, and fledde.
Och hundarna skola äta upp Isebel på Jisreels åkerfält, och ingen skall begrava henne.» Därefter öppnade han dörren och flydde.
11 Forsothe Hieu yede out to the seruauntis of his lord, whiche seiden to hym, Whether alle thingis ben riytfuli? What cam this wood man to thee? Which seide to hem, Ye knowen the man, and what he spak.
När sedan Jehu åter kom ut till sin herres tjänare, frågade man honom: »Allt står väl rätt till? Varför kom denne vanvetting till dig?» Han svarade dem: »I kännen ju den mannen och hans tal.»
12 And thei answeriden, It is fals; but more telle thou to vs. Which seide to hem, He spak these and these thingis to me, and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, Y haue anoyntid thee kyng on Israel.
Men de sade: »Du vill bedraga oss; säg oss sanningen.» Då sade han: »Så och så talade han till mig och sade: 'Så säger HERREN: Jag har smort dig till konung över Israel.'»
13 Therfor thei hastiden, and ech man took his mentil, and puttide vndir hise feet bi the licnesse of a trone. And thei sungen with a trumpe, and seiden, Hieu schal regne.
Strax tog då var och en av dem sin mantel och lade den under honom på själva trappan; och de stötte i basun och ropade: »Jehu har blivit konung.»
14 Therfor Hieu, sone of Josephat, sone of Namsi, swoor to gidere ayens Joram. Forsothe Joram hadde bisegid Ramoth of Galaad, he and al Israel, ayens Azael, kyng of Sirie.
Och Jehu, son till Josafat, son till Nimsi, anstiftade nu en sammansvärjning mot Joram. (Joram hade då med hela Israel legat vid Ramot i Gilead för att försvara det mot Hasael, konungen i Aram;
15 And he turnede ayen to be heelid in Jezrael for woundis; for men of Sirie hadden smyte hym fiytynge ayens Azael, kyng of Sirie. And Hieu seide, If it plesith you, no man go out fleynge fro the citee, lest he go, and telle in Jezrael.
men själv hade konung Joram vänt tillbaka, för att i Jisreel låta hela sig från de sår som araméerna hade tillfogat honom under hans strid mot Hasael, konungen i Aram.) Och Jehu sade: »Om I så viljen, så låten ingen slippa ut ur staden, som kan gå åstad och berätta detta i Jisreel.»
16 And he stiede, and yede forth in to Jezrael; for Joram was sijk there, and Ocozie, kyng of Juda, cam doun to visite Joram.
Och Jehu steg upp i sin vagn och for till Jisreel, ty Joram låg sjuk där; och Ahasja, Juda konung, hade farit ditned för att besöka Joram.
17 Therfor a spiere, that stood aboue a tour of Jezrael, siy the multitude of Hieu comynge, and he seide, Y se a multitude. And Joram seide, Take thou a chare, and sende in to the metyng of hem; and seie the goere, Whether alle thingis ben riytfuli?
När nu väktaren som stod på tornet i Jisreel fick se Jehus skara, då han kom, sade han: »Jag ser en skara.» Då bjöd Joram att man skulle taga en ryttare och sända honom dem till mötes och låta honom fråga om allt stode rätt till.
18 Therfor he, that stiede on the chare, yede in to the meetyng of hym, and seide, The kyng seith these thingis, Whether alle thingis ben peesid? And Hieu seide to hym, What to thee and to pees? Passe thou, and sue me. And the aspiere telde, and seide, the messanger cam to hem, and he turneth not ayen.
Ryttaren red honom då till mötes och sade: »Konungen låter fråga 'Allt står väl rätt till?'» Då svarade Jehu: »Vad kommer den saken dig vid? Vänd, och följ efter mig.» Och väktaren berättade och sade: »Den utskickade har hunnit fram till dem, men han kommer icke tillbaka.»
19 Also the kyng sente the secounde chare of horsis, and he cam to hem, and seide, The kyng seith these thingis, Whether pees is? And Hieu seide, What to thee and to pees? Passe thou, and sue me.
Då sände han en annan ryttare. När denne hade hunnit fram till dem, sade han: »Konungen låter fråga: 'Allt står väl rätt till?'» Jehu svarade: »Vad kommer den saken dig vid? Vänd, och följ efter mig.»
20 Sotheli the aspiere telde, and seide, He cam `til to hem, and he turneth not ayen; forsothe the goyng is as the goyng of Hieu, sone of Namsi; sothely he goith faste.
Väktaren berättade åter och sade: »Han har hunnit fram till dem men han kommer icke tillbaka. På deras sätt att fara fram ser det ut som vore det Jehu, Nimsis son, ty han far fram såsom en vanvetting.»
21 And Joram seide, Ioyn ye a chare. And thei ioyneden his chare. And Joram, kyng of Israel, yede out, and Ocozie, kyng of Juda, yede out, ech in his chare; and thei yeden out in to the meetyng of Hieu, and thei founden hym in the feeld of Naboth of Jezrael.
Då sade Joram: »Spänn för.» Och man spände för hans vagn. Och Joram, Israels konung, for nu ut med Ahasja, Juda konung, var och en i sin vagn; de foro ut för att möta Jehu. Och de träffade tillsammans med honom på jisreeliten Nabots åkerstycke.
22 And whanne Joram hadde seyn Hieu, he seide, Hieu, `is pees? And he answeride, What pees? Yit the fornycaciouns of Jezabel, thi modir, and many poisenyngis of hir ben in strengthe.
När Joram nu fick se Jehu, sade han: »Allt står väl rätt till, Jehu?» Denne svarade: »Huru skulle det kunna stå rätt till, så länge som du tål din moder Isebels avgudiska väsen och hennes många trolldomskonster?»
23 Forsothe Joram turnede his hond, and fledde, and seide to Ocozie, Tresouns! tresouns!
Då svängde Joram om vagnen och flydde, i det han ropade till Ahasja: »Förräderi, Ahasja!»
24 Ocozie. Forsothe Hieu bente a bouwe with the hond, and smoot Joram bitwixe the schuldris, and the arowe yede out thoruy his herte; and anoon he felde doun in his chare.
Men Jehu hade fattat bågen i sin hand och sköt Joram i ryggen, att pilen gick ut genom hjärtat, och han sjönk ned i sin vagn.
25 And Hieu seide to Badacher duyk, Take thou awei, cast forth hym in the feeld of Naboth of Jezrael; for Y haue mynde, whanne Y and thou saten in the chare, and suede Achab, the fadir of hym, that the Lord reiside on hym this birthun, and seide, If not for the blood of Naboth,
Därefter sade han till sin livkämpe Bidkar: »Tag honom och kasta ut honom på jisreeliten Nabots åkerstycke; kom ihåg huru HERREN, när jag och du bredvid varandra redo bakom hans fader Ahab, om denne uttalade den utsagan:
26 and for the blood of hise sones, which Y siy yistirdai, seith the Lord, Y schal yeeld to thee in this feeld, seith the Lord. Now therfor do awei him, and cast forth him in the feeld, bi the word of the Lord.
'Sannerligen, så visst som jag i går såg Nabots och hans söners blod, säger HERREN, skall jag just på detta åkerstycke vedergälla dig, säger HERREN.' Tag därför honom nu och kasta ut honom här på åkerstycket, i enlighet med HERRENS ord.»
27 Forsothe Ocozie, king of Juda, siy this, and fledde bi the weie of the hows of the gardyn; and Hieu pursuede hym, and seide, Also smyte ye this man in his chare. And thei smytiden hym in the stiyng of Gaber, which is bisidis Jeblaam; and he fledde into Mageddo, and was deed there.
När Ahasja, Juda konung, såg detta, flydde han åt Trädgårdshuset till. Men Jehu jagade efter honom och ropade: »Skjuten ned också honom i vagnen.» Så skedde ock på Gurhöjden vid Jibleam; men han flydde vidare till Megiddo och dog där.
28 And hise seruauntis puttiden hym on his chare, and brouyten hym in to Jerusalem; and thei birieden hym in a sepulcre with hise fadris, in the citee of Dauid.
Sedan förde hans tjänare honom i vagnen till Jerusalem; och man begrov honom i hans grav hos hans fäder, i Davids stad.
29 In the eleuenthe yeer of Joram, sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, Ocozie regnede on Juda.
Ahasja hade blivit konung över Juda i Jorams, Ahabs sons, elfte regeringsår.
30 And Hieu cam in to Jezrael. Forsothe whanne his entryng was herd, Jezabel peyntide hir iyen with oynement of wymmen, and ournede hir heed;
Så kom nu Jehu till Jisreel. När Isebel fick höra detta, sminkade hon sig kring ögonen och smyckade sitt huvud och såg ut genom fönstret.
31 and sche bihelde bi a wyndow Hieu entrynge bi the yate, and sche seide, Whether pees may be to Zamri, that kyllide his lord?
Och när Jehu kom in genom porten, ropade hon: »Allt står väl rätt till, du, Simri, som har dräpt din herre?»
32 And Hieu reiside his face to the wyndow, and seide, What womman is this? And tweyne ether thre chaumbirleyns bowiden hem silf to hym, and seiden to hym, This is thilke Jezabel.
Han lyfte sitt ansikte upp mot fönstret och sade: »Vem håller med mig? Vem?» Då sågo två eller tre hovmän ut, ned på honom.
33 And he seide to hem, Caste ye hir doun. And thei `castiden doun hir; and the wal was bispreynt with blood, and the howues of horsis, that `to tredden hir.
Han sade: »Störten ned henne.» Och de störtade ned henne, så att hennes blod stänkte på väggen och på hästarna; och han körde över henne.
34 And whanne he hadde entrid to ete and drynke, he seide, Go ye, and se thilke cursid womman, and birie ye hir, for sche is a kyngis douyter.
Därefter gick han in och åt och drack. Sedan sade han: »Tagen vara på henne, den förbannade, och begraven henne, ty hon är dock en konungadotter.»
35 And whanne thei hadden go to birie hir, thei founden not, no but the sculle, and the feet, and the endis of hondis;
Men när de då gingo åstad för att begrava henne, funno de av henne intet annat än huvudskålen, fötterna och händerna.
36 and thei turneden ayen, and telden to hym. And Hieu seide, It is the word of the Lord, which he spak bi his seruaunt, Elie `of Thesbi, and seide, Doggis schulen ete the fleisch of Jezabel in the feeld of Jezrael;
och de vände tillbaka och berättade detta för honom. Då sade han: »Detta är vad HERREN talade genom sin tjänare tisbiten Elia, i det han sade: 'På Jisreels åkerfält skola hundarna äta upp Isebels kött;
37 and the fleischis of Jezabel schulen be as `a toord on the face of erthe in the feeld of Jezrael, so that men passynge forth seie, Lo! this is thilke Jezabel.
och Isebels döda kropp skall ligga såsom gödsel på marken på Jisreels åkerfält, så att ingen skall kunna säga: Detta är Isebel.'»
