< 2 Kings 8 >

1 Forsothe Elisee spak to the womman, whose sone he made to lyue, and he seide, Rise thou, and go, bothe thou and thin hows, and `go in pilgrimage, where euer thou schalt fynde; for the Lord schal clepe hungur, and it schal come on the lond bi seuene yeer.
Pea naʻe toki lea ʻa ʻIlaisa ki he fefine, ʻaia naʻa ne fokotuʻu moʻui ki ai ʻa ʻene tama, ʻo ne pehē, “Tuʻu hake, pea ʻalu ʻa koe mo ho kau nofoʻanga, pea ʻāunofo ʻi ha potu pe te ke faʻa ʻāunofo ki ai: he kuo pau pe meia Sihova ke ʻai ha honge; pea ʻe hoko foki ia ki he fonua ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitu.”
2 And sche roos, and dide bi the word of the man of God; and sche yede with hir hows, and was in pilgrimage in the lond of Philistym many daies.
Pea naʻe tuʻu hake ʻae fefine, ʻo ne fai ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe lea ki ai ʻae tangata ʻoe ʻOtua: pea naʻa ne ʻalu fakataha mo hono kaungāʻapi, mo ne nofo ʻi he fonua ʻoe kakai Filisitia ʻi he taʻu ʻe fitu.
3 And whanne seuene yeer weren endid, the womman turnede ayen fro the lond of Philisteis; and sche yede out, to axe the kyng for her hows, and hir feeldis.
Pea ʻi heʻene hiliange ʻae taʻu ʻe fitu, naʻe toe liliu mai ʻae fefine mei he fonua ʻoe kakai Filisitia: pea naʻa ne ʻalu atu ke tangi ki he tuʻi ke toe maʻu ʻa hono fale pea mo hono fonua.
4 Sotheli the kyng spak with Giezi, child of the man of God, and seide, Telle thou to me alle the grete dedis whiche Elisee dide.
Pea naʻe alea ʻae tuʻi mo Kehesi ʻaia naʻe tamaioʻeiki ki he tangata ʻae ʻOtua, ʻo pehē, ʻOku ou kole ke ke fakahā mai ʻae ngaahi meʻa lahi kotoa pē ʻaia kuo fai ʻe ʻIlaisa.
5 And whanne he telde to the kyng, hou Elisee hadde reiside a deed man, the womman apperide, whos sone he hadde maad to lyue, and sche criede to the kyng for hir hows, and for hir feeldis. And Giesi seide, My lord the king, this is the womman, and this is hir sone, whom Elisee reiside.
Pea ʻiloange, lolotonga ʻa ʻene fakahā ki he tuʻi, ʻa ʻene toe fakamoʻui ʻae sino mate, vakai, naʻe tangi mai ki he tuʻi ʻae fefine ʻaia naʻe fakamoʻui ki ai ʻa ʻene tama, ke ne toe maʻu mai ʻa hono fale pea mo hono fonua. Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Kehesi, “ʻE hoku ʻeiki ko e tuʻi, ko e fefine eni, pea ko ʻene tama eni, ʻaia naʻe fakamoʻui ʻe ʻIlaisa.”
6 And the kyng axide the womman, and sche tolde to hym, that the thingis weren sothe. And the kyng yaf to hir o chaumburleyn, and seide, Restore thou to hir alle thingis that ben hern, and alle fruytis of the feeldis, fro the dai in which she left the lond `til to present tyme.
Pea ʻi heʻene ʻeke atu ʻe he tuʻi ki he fefine, naʻa ne fakamatala ia kiate ia. Ko ia naʻe fekau ai ʻe he tuʻi ki ha matāpule ʻe tokotaha, ʻo pehē, “Toe ʻatu kiate ia ʻae meʻa kotoa pē naʻe ʻaʻana, pea mo e tupu kotoa pē ʻo ʻene ngoue talu mei he ʻaho naʻa ne ʻalu ai mei he fonua, ʻo aʻu mai ki he ʻaho ni.”
7 Also Elisee cam to Damask, and Benadab, kyng of Sirie, was sijk; and thei telden to hym, and seiden, The man of God cam hidur.
Pea naʻe hoko mai ʻa ʻIlaisa ki Tamasikusi; pea naʻe mahakiʻia ʻa Penihatati ko e tuʻi ʻo Silia; pea naʻe tala kiate ia, ʻo pehē, “Kuo haʻu ki heni ʻae tangata ʻoe ʻOtua.
8 And the kyng seide to Azael, Take with thee yiftis, and go thou in to the meetyng of the man of God, and `counsele thou bi hym the Lord, and seie thou, Whether Y may ascape fro this `sikenesse of me?
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe he tuʻi kia Hasaeli, Toʻo ha meʻaʻofa ʻi ho nima, pea ke ʻalu ʻo fakafetaulaki mo e tangata ʻoe ʻOtua, pea ke fehuʻi kia Sihova ʻiate ia, ʻo pehē, “Pe te u toe moʻui hake mei he mahaki ni?”
9 Therfor Azael yede in to the meetyng of hym, and hadde with hym silf yiftis, and alle the goodis of Damask, the burthuns of fourti camels. And whanne he hadde stonde bifor Elisee, he seide, Thi sone, Benadab, kyng of Sirie, sente me to thee, and seide, Whether Y may be helid of this `sikenesse of me?
Ko ia naʻe ʻalu ai ʻa Hasaeli ke fetaulaki mo ia, ʻo ne ʻave ʻae meʻaʻofa ʻi hono nima, ʻio, mei he meʻa lelei kotoa pē ʻi Tamasikusi, ko e ngaahi kavenga naʻe fua ʻe he fanga kāmeli ʻe fāngofulu, pea naʻa ne haʻu ʻo tuʻu ʻi hono ʻao, mo ne pehē, Kuo fekauʻi au ʻe ho foha ko Penihatati ko e tuʻi ʻo Silia, ke pehē, “Te u toe moʻui hake mei he mahaki ni pe ʻikai?”
10 And Elisee seide, Go thou, and seye to hym, Thou schalt be heelid; forsothe the Lord schewide to me that he schal die bi deth.
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe ʻIlaisa kiate ia, “ʻAlu, ʻo tala kiate ia, ʻOku ke faʻa moʻui hake moʻoni: ka kuo fakahā mai ʻe Sihova ko e moʻoni pe te ne mate.”
11 And he stood with hym, and he was disturblid, `til to the castyng doun of cheer; and the man of God wepte.
Pea naʻe sio fakamamaʻu ia, pea naʻa ne mā ai: pea naʻe tangi ʻae tangata ʻoe ʻOtua.
12 `To whom Azael seide, Whi wepith my lord? And he answeride, For Y woot what yuelis thou schalt do to the sones of Israel; thou schalt brenne bi fier the strengthid citees of hem, and thou schalt sle bi swerd the yonge men of hem, and thou schalt hurtle doun the litle children of hem, and thou schalt departe the women with childe.
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Hasaeli, “Ko e hā ʻoku tangi ai ʻa hoku ʻeiki?” Pea naʻe pehēange ʻe ia, “Koeʻuhi ʻoku ou ʻilo ʻae kovi kotoa pē ʻaia te ke fai ki he fānau ʻa ʻIsileli: te ke tutu ʻa honau ngaahi kolo tau, pea te ke tāmateʻi ʻa ʻenau kau talavou ʻaki ʻae heletā, pea te ke laiki ʻa ʻenau tamaiki, mo fahiʻi ʻae kau fefine ʻoku feitama.”
13 And Azael seide, What sotheli am Y, thi seruaunt, a dogge, that Y do this grete thing? And Elisee seide, The Lord schewide to me that thou schalt be kyng of Sirie.
Pea naʻe pehē ʻe Hasaeli, “Ka ko e hā, ko e kulī ʻa hoʻo tamaioʻeiki ko au, ke u fai ha meʻa pehē fau?” Pea naʻe pehēange ʻe ʻIlaisa, “Kuo fakaʻilo mai ʻe Sihova ke ke tuʻi ko e ki Silia.”
14 And whanne he hadde departid fro Elisee, he cam to his lord; which seide to Azael, What seide Elisee to thee? And he answeride, Elisee seide to me, Thou schalt resseyue helthe.
Ko ia naʻa ne ʻalu ai meia ʻIlaisa, mo ne haʻu ki heʻene ʻeiki; ʻaia naʻe pehē kiate ia, “Ko e hā ʻae lea ʻa ʻIlaisa kiate koe? Pea naʻa ne pehēange, naʻa ne fakahā mai te ke moʻui hake moʻoni.”
15 And whanne `the tother day hadde come, Azael took the cloth on the bed, and bischedde with watir, and spredde abrood on the face of hym; and whanne he was deed, Azael regnede for hym.
Pea naʻe hoko ʻo pehē ʻi he ʻaho naʻe feholoi, naʻe toʻo [ʻe Hasaeli ]ha konga holo matolu, mo ne unu ia ʻi he vai, pea naʻa ne folahi ia ki hono mata, ke ne mate ai: pea naʻe fetongi ai ia ʻi he pule ʻe Hasaeli.
16 In the fyuethe yeer of Joram, sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, and of Josephat, kyng of Juda, Joram, sone of Josephat, kyng of Juda, regnede.
Pea ʻi hono nima ʻoe taʻu ʻo Solami ko e foha ʻo ʻEhapi ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli, ka naʻe tuʻi ʻa Sihosafate ʻi he kuonga ko ia ʻi Siuta, naʻe kamata pule ʻa Siholami ko e foha ʻo Sihosafate ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta.
17 He was of two and thretti yeer whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede eiyte yeer in Jerusalem.
Naʻe tolungofulu ma ua ʻa ʻene taʻu ʻi heʻene kamata pule; pea naʻa ne pule ʻi he taʻu ʻe valu ʻi Selūsalema.
18 And he yede in the weies of the kyngis of Israel, as the hows of Achab hadde go; for the douyter of Achab was his wijf; and he dide that, that is yuel in the siyt of the Lord.
Pea naʻa ne ʻalu ʻi he hala ʻoe ngaahi tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli, ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fai ʻe he fale ʻo ʻEhapi: he naʻa ne mali mo e ʻofefine ʻo ʻEhapi: pea naʻa ne fai ʻae kovi ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova.
19 Forsothe the Lord nolde distrie Juda, for Dauid, his seruaunt, as he `hadde bihiyt to Dauid, that he schulde yyue to hym a lanterne, and to hise sones in alle daies.
Ka naʻe ʻikai fie fakaʻauha ʻa Siuta ʻe Sihova, koeʻuhi pe ko Tevita ko ʻene tamaioʻeiki, ʻaia naʻa ne talaʻofa ki ai ke foaki maʻuaipē kiate ia ha maama, pea ki hono hako.
20 In tho daies Edom, `that is, Ydumee, yede awei, that it schulde not be vndur Juda; and made a kyng to it silf.
ʻI hono kuonga ʻoʻona naʻe angatuʻu ʻa ʻItomi ki he pule ʻa Siuta, pea naʻa nau fakanofo ha tuʻi maʻanautolu pe.
21 And Joram cam to Seira, and alle the charis with hym; and he roos bi nyyt, and smoot Ydumeis, that cumpassiden hym, and the princis of charis; sotheli the puple fledde in to her tabernaclis.
Ko ia naʻe ʻalu atu ai ʻa Solami ki Saili, pea naʻe ʻalu mo ia ʻae ngaahi saliote kotoa pē: pea naʻa ne tuʻu hake ʻi he poʻuli, mo ne teʻia ʻae kakai ʻItomi naʻe nofo takatakai ʻiate ia, pea mo e ngaahi ʻeiki ʻoe ngaahi saliote: pea naʻe feholaki ʻae kakai ki honau ngaahi fale fehikitaki.
22 Therfor Edom yede awei, that it was not vndur Juda `til to this day; thanne also Lobna yede awey in that tyme.
Ka kuo angatuʻu ʻa ʻItomi ki he pule ʻa Siuta ʻo aʻu mai ki he ʻaho ni. Pea naʻe angatuʻu ʻa Lipina ʻi he kuonga pe ko ia.
23 Forsothe the residues of wordis of Joram, and alle thingis whiche he dide, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kingis of Juda?
Pea ko hono toe ʻoe ngaahi ngāue ʻa Solami, mo ia kotoa pē naʻa ne fai, ʻikai kuo tohi ia ʻi he tohi fakamatala ki he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Siuta?
24 And Joram slepte with hise fadris, and was biried with hem in the citee of Dauid; and Ocozie, his sone, regnede for hym.
Pea naʻe mohe ʻa Solami ki heʻene ngaahi tamai, pea naʻe fai hono putu ki he potu ʻa ʻene ngaahi tamai ʻi he kolo ʻo Tevita: pea naʻe fetongi ia ʻi he pule ʻe hono foha ko ʻAhasia.
25 In the tweluethe yeer of Joram, sone of Achab, kyng of Israel, Ocozie, sone of Joram, kyng of Juda, regnede.
Pea ʻi hono hongofulu ma ua ʻoe taʻu ʻo Solami ko e foha ʻo ʻEhapi ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli naʻe kamata pule ʻa ʻAhasia ko e foha ʻo Siholami ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta.
26 Ocozie, the sone of Joram, was of two and twenti yeer whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede o yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his moder was Athalia, the douyter of Amry, kyng of Israel.
Naʻe uofulu ma ua ʻae taʻu ʻoe motuʻa ʻa ʻAhasia ʻi heʻene kamata pule; pea naʻa ne pule ʻi Selūsalema ʻi he taʻu ʻe taha. Pea ko e hingoa ʻo ʻene faʻē ko ʻAtalia, ko e ʻofefine ʻo Omili ko e tuʻi ʻo ʻIsileli.
27 And he yede in the waies of the hows of Achab, and dide that, that is yuel, bifor the Lord, as the hows of Achab dide; for he was hosebonde of a douyter of the hows of Achab.
Pea naʻa ne ʻeveʻeva ʻi he hala ʻoe fale ʻo ʻEhapi, mo ne fai ʻae kovi ʻi he ʻao ʻo Sihova, ʻo hangē ko ia naʻe fai ʻe he fale ʻo ʻEhapi: he ko e foha ia ʻi he fono ki he fale ʻo ʻEhapi.
28 Also he yede with Joram, sone of Achab, to fiyt ayens Azael, kyng of Sirie, in Ramoth of Galaad; and men of Sirie woundiden Joram.
Pea naʻa ne ʻalu mo Solami ko e foha ʻo ʻEhapi ki he tau naʻe fai kia Hasaeli ko e tuʻi ʻo Silia ʻi Lemoti-Kiliati; pea naʻe lavea ʻa Solami ʻi he kakai Silia.
29 Which turnede ayen, to be heelid in Jezrael; for men of Sirie woundiden hym in Ramoth, fiytynge ayens Azael, kyng of Sirye. Forsothe Ocozie, sone of Joram, the kyng of Juda, cam doun to se Joram, sone of Achab, in to Jezrael, that was sijk there.
Pea naʻe toe ʻalu ʻa Solami ki Sesilili ke fakamoʻui ʻa hono ngaahi lavea ʻaia naʻe lavea ai ia ʻi he kakai Silia ʻi Lama, ʻi heʻene tauʻi ʻa Hasaeli ko e tuʻi ʻo Silia. Pea naʻe ʻalu hifo ʻa ʻAhasia ko e foha ʻo Siholami ko e tuʻi ʻo Siuta ke mamata kia Solami ko e foha ʻo ʻEhapi ʻi Sesilili, ko e meʻa ʻi hono lavea.
