2 Kings 3
1 Forsothe Joram, sone of Achab, regnede on Israel, in Samarie, in the eiytenthe yeer of Josephat, kyng of Juda. And he regnede twelue yeer,
Ary Jorama, zanak’ i Ahaba, vao nanjaka tamin’ ny Isiraely tao Samaria tamin’ ny fahavalo ambin’ ny folo taona nanjakan’ i Josafata, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, ary nanjaka roa ambin’ ny folo taona izy.
2 and he dide yuel bifor the Lord, but not as his fader and modir;
Ary nanao izay ratsy eo imason’ i Jehovah koa izy, nefa kosa tsy dia tahaka an-drainy, na tahaka an-dreniny; fa nanaisotra ilay tsangam-baton’ i Bala izay nataon’ drainy izy;
3 for he took awei the ymagis of Baal, whiche his fadir hadde maad, netheles in the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, that made Israel to do synne, `he cleuyde, and yede not awei fro tho.
nefa izy nikikitra tamin’ ny fahotan’ i Jeroboama, zanak’ i Nebata, izay nampanotany ny Isiraely, fa tsy niala tamin’ izany.
4 Forsothe Mesa, kyng of Moab, nurschide many beestis, and paiede to the kyng of Israel an hundrid thousynde of lambren, and an hundrid thousynde of wetheris, with her fleesis.
Ary Mesa, mpanjakan’ i Moaba, nanana ondry betsaka; ary nandoa hetra ho an’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely izy, dia zanak’ ondry iray hetsy sy ny volon’ ondrilahy iray hetsy.
5 And whanne Achab was deed, he brak the boond of pees, which he hadde with the kyng of Israel.
Fa rehefa maty Ahaba, dia niodina tamin’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely ny mpanjakan’ i Moaba.
6 Therfor kyng Joram yede out of Samarie in that dai, and noumbride al Israel.
Ary Jorama mpanjaka nivoaka avy tany Samaria tamin’ izany andro izany ka nandamina ny Isiraely rehetra.
7 And he sente to Josephat, kyng of Juda, and seide, The kyng of Moab yede awei fro me; come thou with me ayens him to batel. Which Josephat answeride, Y schal stie; he that is myn, is thin; my puple is thi puple; and myn horsis ben thin horsis.
Ary nandeha izy, dia naniraka tany amin’ i Josafata, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, ka nanao hoe: Ny mpanjakan’ i Moaba efa niodina tamiko: koa mba hiaraka amiko va ianao hiady aminy? Ary hoy izy: Eny, handeha aho, fa tahaka ny tenanao ihany aho, ka ny oloko dia olonao, ary ny soavaliko dia soavalinao.
8 And he seide, Bi what weie schulen we stie? And he answeride, Bi the deseert of Ydumee.
Ary hoy izy: Aiza ary no lalana halehantsika? Ary izy namaly hoe: Ilay mamaky ny efitr’ i Edoma.
9 Therfor the kyng of Israel, and the kyng of Juda, and the kyng of Edom, yeden forth, and cumpassiden bi the weie of seuene daies; and `watir was not to the oost, and to the beestis, that sueden hem.
Dia nandeha ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely sy ny mpanjakan’ ny Joda ary ny mpanjakan’ i Edoma; ary nandeha nanodidina lalan-kafitoana izy; ary tsy nisy rano ho an’ ny miaramila sy ny biby fiompy izay nentiny.
10 And the kyng of Israel seide, Alas! alas! alas! the Lord hath gaderide vs thre kyngis to bitake vs in the hond of Moab.
Dia hoy ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely: Indrisy! Jehovah efa niantso ireto mpanjaka telo ireto mba hatolony eo an-tànan’ i Moaba.
11 And Josephat seide, Whether ony prophete of the Lord is here, that we biseche the Lord bi hym? And oon of the seruauntis of the kyng of Israel answeride, Elisee, the sone of Saphat, is here, that schedde watir on the hondis of Elie.
Ary hoy Josafata: Tsy misy mpaminanin’ i Jehovah va eto hanontaniantsika amin’ i Jehovah? Ary nisy anankiray tamin’ ny mpanompon’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely namaly ka nanao hoe: Ato ihany Elisa, zanak’ i Safata, ilay mpanondra-drano ny tànan’ i Elia.
12 And Josephat seide, Is the word of the Lord at hym? Whiche seiden, `It is. And the kyng of Israel, and Josephat, kyng of Juda, and the kyng of Edom, yeden doun to hym.
Ary hoy Josafata: Ao amin’ izy io tokoa ny tenin’ i Jehovah. Dia nidina nankany amin’ i Elisa ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely sy Josafata ary ny mpanjakan’ i Edoma.
13 Forsothe Elise seide to the kyng of Israel, What is to me and to thee? Go thou to the prophetis of thi fadir and of thi modir. And the kyng of Israel seide to hym, Whi hath the Lord gaderid these thre kyngis, to bitake hem into the hondis of Moab?
Ary hoy Elisa tamin’ ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely: Moa mifaninona akory izaho sy ianao? Mandehana any amin’ ny mpaminanin-drainao sy ny mpaminanin-dreninao ianao. Fa hoy ny mpanjakan’ ny Isiraely taminy: Tsia, fa Jehovah efa niantso ireto mpanjaka telo ireto mba hatolony eo an-tànan’ i Moaba.
14 And Elisee seide to hym, The Lord of oostis lyueth, in whos siyt Y stonde, if Y were not aschamed of the cheer of Josephat, king of Juda, treuli Y hadde not perseyued, nethir Y hadde biholde thee.
Dia hoy Elisa: Raha velona koa Jehovah, Tompon’ ny maro, Izay itsanganako eo anatrehany, raha tsy noho ny fanajako an’ i Josafata, mpanjakan’ ny Joda, dia tsy hanatrika anao na hijery anao akory aho.
15 Now forsothe brynge ye to me a sautrere. And whanne the sautrere song, the hond of the Lord was maad on hym, and he seide, The Lord seith these thingis,
Nefa itondray mpitendry lokanga aho. Ary rehefa nitendry ilay mpitendry lokanga, dia nanindry an’ i Elisa ny tànan’ i Jehovah.
16 Make ye the wombe, ether depthe, of this stronde dichis and dichis.
Ary hoy Elisa: Izao no lazain’ i Jehovah: Ataovy feno lavaka ity lohasahan-driaka ity.
17 For the Lord seith these thingis, Ye schulen not se wynd, nethir reyn, and this depthe schal be fillid with watris, and ye schulen drynke, and youre meynees, and youre beestis.
Fa hoy Jehovah: Tsy hahita rivotra na ranonorana akory ianareo; nefa ho feno rano io lohasahan-driaka io, mba hosotroinareo, dia ianareo sy ny ombinareo ary ny biby fiompinareo.
18 And this is litil in the siyt of the Lord. Ferthermore also he schal bitake Moab in to youre hondis;
Ary ho zavatra kely ihany eo imason’ i Jehovah izany; fa hanolotra ny Moabita eo an-tananareo koa Izy.
19 and ye schulen smyte ech strengthid citee, and ech chosun citee, and ye schulen kitte doun ech tre berynge fruyt, and ye schulen stoppe alle the wellis of watris, and ye schulen hile with stonys ech noble feeld.
Ary handrava ny tanàna mimanda rehetra sy ny tanàna soa rehetra ianareo sady hikapa ny hazo tsara rehetra sy hanampina ny loharano rehetra ary hanipy vato amin’ ny tany soa rehetra ho fanimbana azy.
20 Therfor it was doon eerli, whanne sacrifice is wont to be offrid, and, lo! watris camen bi the weie of Edom, and the lond was fillid with watris.
Ary nony maraina, tokony ho tamin’ ny fotoana fanaterana ny fanatitra, dia, indro, nisy rano tokoa tonga avy tamin’ ny lalana mankany Edoma, ka feno rano ny tany.
21 Sotheli alle men of Moab herden, that kyngis hadden stied to fiyte ayens hem; `and men of Moab clepiden togidere alle men, that weren gird with girdil aboue, and thei stoden in the termes.
Ary rehefa ren’ ny Moabita rehetra fa avy miakatra hiady aminy ireo mpanjaka ireo, dia nivory izy hatramin’ izay rehetra nahatam-piadiana no ho miakatra, ka dia niandry teo amin’ ny sisin-taniny.
22 And men of Moab risiden ful eerli, and whanne the sunne was risun thanne euen ayens the watris, thei sien the watris reed as blood euene ayens.
Ary nony nifoha maraina koa ny Moabita, sady efa niposaka ny masoandro ka nitaratra tamin’ ny rano, dia hitany ny rano tandrifiny fa mena tahaka ny rà.
23 And thei seiden, It is the blood of swerd, `that is, sched out bi swerd; kyngis fouyten ayens hem silf, and thei ben slayn togider; now go thou, Moab, to the prey.
Dia hoy izy: Rà io! efa nifandringana tokoa ireo mpanjaka ireo, ary efa nifamely izy rehetra; koa mamaboa amin’ izao, ry Moaba!
24 And thei yeden in to the castels of Israel; forsothe Israel roos, and smoot Moab, and thei fledden bifor men of Israel. Therfor thei that hadden ouercome, camen, and smytiden Moab, and destrieden cytees;
Kanjo nony efa tonga teo an-tobin’ ny Isiraely izy, dia nitsangana ny Isiraely ka namely ny Moabita, dia nandositra teo anoloany ireo; fa ny Isiraely niditra hatrany amin’ ny tanin’ ny Moabita ka mbola namely azy ihany.
25 and alle men sendynge stoonys filliden ech beste feeld, and stoppiden alle the wellis of watris, and kittiden doun alle trees berynge fruyt, so that oneli `wallis maad of erthe weren left; and the citee was cumpassid of men settinge engynes, and was smytun bi greet part.
Dia nandrava ny tanàna izy ary samy nanipy vato tamin’ ny tany soa rehetra ka nahafeno azy, ary nanampina ny loharano rehetra koa izy sady nikapa ny hazo tsara rehetra mandra-paha-tsy nisy vato intsony afa-tsy ny tao Kira-haresa ihany; ary na dia io aza dia nohodidinin’ ny mpandefa antsamotady ka nasiany.
26 And whanne the kyng of Moab hadde seyn this, that is, that the enemyes hadden the maistrie, he took with hym seuene hundrid men drawynge swerdis, that thei shulden breke in to the kyng of Edom; and thei myyten not.
Ary rehefa hitan’ ny mpanjakan’ i Moaba fa tsy tohany ny ady, dia nitondra fiton-jato lahy nahay sabatra nomba azy izy mba hanivakivaka hitsin’ ny mpanjakan’ i Edoma; nefa tsy afaka izy.
27 And he took his firste gendrid sone, that schulde regne for hym, and offride brent sacrifice on the wal; and greet indignacioun was maad in Israel; and anoon thei yeden awei fro hym, and turneden ayen in to her lond.
Ary nalainy ny zanany lahimatoa, izay natao hanjaka handimby azy, ka nateriny ho fanatitra dorana teo ambonin’ ny manda. Dia niharan’ ny fahatezerana mafy ny Isiraely, dia niala taminy ary niverina ho any amin’ ny taniny izy.
