2 Kings 22
1 Josias was of eiyte yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde oon and thritti yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Ydida, the douytir of Phadaia of Besechath.
Si Josias ay walong taong gulang nang magsimula siyang maghari; naghari siya nang tatlumpu't isang taon sa Jerusalem. Ang pangalan ng kaniyang ina ay Jedida (siya ang anak ni Adaya na taga-Boskat).
2 And he dide that, that was plesaunt bifor the Lord, and he yede be alle the wayes of Dauid, his fadir; he bowide not, nethir to the riytside, nethir of the leftside.
Ginawa niya kung ano ang tama sa mata ni Yahweh. Lumakad siya sa lahat ng pamamaraan ni David ang kaniyang ninuno, at hindi siya lumiko sa kanan man o sa kaliwa.
3 Forsothe in the eiytenthe yeer of kyng Josias, the kyng sente Saphan, sone of Asua, the sone of Mesulam, scryueyn, ethir doctour, of the temple of the Lord,
Nangyari ito sa ika-labing walong taon ni Haring Josias, nang isinugo niya si Safan anak na lalaki ni Azalias anak na lalaki ni Mesulam, ang eskriba, sa tahanan ni Yahweh, na sinasabing,
4 and seide to him, Go thou to Elchie, the grete preest, that the money, which is borun in to the temple of the Lord, be spendid, which money the porteris of the temple han gaderid of the puple;
Pumunta ka kay Hilkias ang punong pari at sabihin sa kaniyang bilangin ang pera na dinala sa tahanan ni Yahweh, na nalikom ng mga bantay ng templo mula sa bayan.
5 and that it be youun to crafti men bi the souereyns of the hows of the Lord; which also departide that money to hem that worchen in the temple of the Lord, to reparele the rooues of the temple of the Lord,
Ipadala mo ito sa kanila sa mga manggagawa na namamahala sa tahanan ni Yahweh at ipabigay mo ito sa mga manggagawa na nasa tahanan ni Yahweh, para kumpunihin ang mga sira sa templo.
6 that is, to carpenteris, and to masouns, and to hem that maken brokun thingis, and that trees and stoonus of quarieris be bouyt, to reparele the temple of the Lord;
Magpabigay ka sa kanila ng pera sa mga karpintero, mga nagtatayo, at mga mason, at para bumili rin ng troso at magtabas ng bato para kumpunihin ang templo.”
7 netheles siluer, which thei taken, be not rekynyd to hem, but haue thei in power, and in feith.
Pero hindi kinailangan ang pagbibigay-sulit para sa pera na ibinigay sa kanila, dahil tapat nila itong pinanghawakan.
8 Forsothe Helchie, the bischop, seide to Saphan, the scryuen, Y haue founde the book of the lawe in the hows of the Lord. And Elchie yaf the book to Saphan, the scryuen, which also redde it.
Sinabi ng punong pari na si Hilkias kay Safan, ang eskriba, “Natagpuan ko ang Aklat ng Batas sa tahanan ni Yahweh. Kaya ibinigay ni Hilkias ang aklat kay Safan, at binasa niya ito.
9 Also Saphan, the scryuen, cam to the kyng, and telde to hym tho thingis, whiche Elchie hadde comaundid, and he seide, Thi seruauntis han spendid the monei, which was foundun in the hows of the Lord, and yauen, that it schulde be departid to crafti men of the souereyns of werkis of the temple of the Lord.
Pumunta si Safan at dinala ang aklat sa hari, at nag-ulat din sa kaniya, na nagsasabing, “Nagastos na ng inyong mga lingkod ang pera na natagpuan sa templo at ibinigay ito sa mga tagapangsiwa na nangalaga sa tahanan ni Yahweh.”
10 Also Saphan, the scriueyn, telde to the kyng, and seide, Helchie, the preest of God, yaf to me a book; and whanne Saphan hadde red that book bifor the kyng,
Pagkatapos sinabi ni Safan ang eskriba sa hari, “Binigyan ako ni Hilkias ang pari ng isang aklat.” Pagkatapos binasa ito ni Safan sa hari.
11 and the kyng hadde herd the wordis of the book of the lawe of the Lord, he to-rente hise clothis.
Noong marinig ng hari ang mga salita ng batas, pinunit niya ang kaniyang mga damit.
12 And he comaundide to Elchie, the preest, and to Aicham, sone of Saphan, and to Achabor, sone of Mycha, and to Saphan, the scryuen, and to Achia, seruaunt of the kyng,
Inutusan ng hari sina Hilkias ang pari, Ahikam na anak ni Safan, Akbor na anak ni Mikaias, Safan ang eskriba, at Asaias, ang kaniyang sariling lingkod, na sinasabing,
13 and seide, Go ye, and `counsele ye the Lord on me, and on the puple, and on al Juda, of the wordis of this book, which is foundun; for greet ire of the Lord is kyndlid ayens vs, for oure fadris herden not the wordis of this book, to do al thing which is writun to vs.
“Pumunta kayo at sumangguni kay Yahweh para sa akin, at para sa bayan at para sa lahat ng Juda, dahil sa mga salita ng aklat na ito na natagpuan. Dahil labis ang galit ni Yahweh na nag-alab laban sa atin. Labis ito, dahil hindi nakinig ang ating mga ninuno sa mga salita ng aklat na ito para sundin ang lahat na isinulat tungkol sa atin.”
14 Therfor Helchie, the preest, and Aicham, and Achabor, and Saphan, and Asia, yeden to Olda, the prophetesse, the wijf of Sellum, sone of Thecue, sone of Aras, kepere of the clothis, which Olda dwellide in Jerusalem, in the secounde dwellyng; and thei spaken to hir.
Kaya pumunta sina Hilkias ang pari, Ahikam, si Akbor, Safan at Asaias kay Hulda ang babaeng propeta, ang asawa ni Sallum anak ni Tikva anak ni Harhas, tagapag-ingat ng mga kasuotan ng mga pari (nanirahan siya sa Jerusalem sa ikalawang purok), at nagsalita sila sa kaniya.
15 And sche answeride to hem, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Seie ye to the man,
Sinabi niya sa kanila, “Ito ang sinasabi ni Yahweh, ang Diyos ng Israel: “Sabihin mo sa lalaking nagsugo sa iyo sa akin,
16 that sente you to me, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal brynge yuelis on this place, and on the dwelleris therof, alle the wordis `of the lawe, whiche the kyng of Juda redde;
“Ito ang kung ano ang sinasabi ni Yahweh: “Masdan mo, malapit na akong magdala ng sakuna sa lugar na ito at sa mga naninirahan dito, lahat ng mga salita ng aklat na nabasa ng hari ng Juda.
17 for thei forsoken me, and maden sacrifice to alien goddis, and terriden me to ire in alle the werkis of her hondis; and myn indignacioun schal be kyndlid in this place, and schal not be quenchid.
Dahil tinalikuran nila ako at nagsunog ng insenso sa ibang mga diyus-diyosan, para galitin nila ako sa lahat ng kanilang mga ginawa - kaya ang aking galit ay nag-alab laban sa lugar na ito, at hindi ito mapapawi.'”
18 Sotheli to the kyng of Juda, that sente you, that ye schulen `counsele the Lord, ye schulen seie thus, The Lord God of Israel seith these thingis, For thou herdist the wordis of the book,
Pero sa hari ng Juda, na nagsugo sa iyo para tanungin ang kalooban ni Yahweh, ito ang kung ano ang sasabihin ninyo sa kaniya: ' Sinasabi ito ni Yahweh, ang Diyos ng Israel: Tungkol sa mga salita na iyong narinig:
19 and thin herte was aferd, and thou were maad meke bifor the Lord, whanne the wordis weren herd ayens this place and ayens the dwelleris therof, that is, that thei schulden be maad in to wondryng, and in to cursyng, and thou to-rentist thi clothis, and weptist bifor me, and Y herde, seith the Lord;
dahil ang iyong puso ay malambot, at dahil nagpakumbaba ka sa harap ni Yahweh, nang marinig mo ang kung ano ang aking sinabi laban sa lugar na ito at sa mga naninirahan dito, na sila ay pababayaan at magiging isang sumpa, at dahil sa pinunit mo ang iyong mga damit at nanangis sa harap ko, nakinig din ako sa iyo' - ito ang pahayag ni Yahweh.
20 herfor Y schal gadere thee to thi fadris, and thou schalt be gaderid to thi sepulcre in pees; that thin iyen se not alle the yuelis, whiche Y schal brynge yn on this place.
Masdan mo, isasama kita sa iyong mga ninuno; maisasama ka sa iyong libingan nang may kapayapaan, ni makikita ng iyong mga mata ang anuman sa mga sakuna na dadalhin ko sa lugar na ito at sa mga naninirahan dito.” Kaya bumalik sa hari ang mga lalaki dala-dala ang mensaheng ito.
