1 Forsothe it was don, whanne the Lord wolde reise Elie bi a whirlewynd in to heuene, Elie and Elisee yeden fro Galgalis.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁରେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗକୁ ଘେନିଯିବା ପାଇଁ ଉଦ୍ୟତ ହୁଅନ୍ତେ, ଏଲୀୟ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ସହିତ ଗିଲ୍ଗଲ୍ରୁ ଗଲେ।
2 And Elie seide to Elisee, Sitte thou here, for the Lord sente me til into Bethel. To whom Elisee seide, The Lord lyueth and thi soule lyueth, for Y schal not forsake thee. And whanne thei hadden come doun to Bethel,
ପୁଣି ଏଲୀୟ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏଠାରେ ଥାଅ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ବେଥେଲ୍ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ପଠାଇଅଛନ୍ତି।” ତହିଁରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ିବି ନାହିଁ।” ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ବେଥେଲ୍କୁ ଗଲେ।
3 the sones of prophetis, that weren in Bethel, yeden out to Elisee, and seiden to hym, Whether thou knowist, that the Lord schal take awey thi lord to dai fro thee? Which answeride, And I knowe; be ye stille.
ସେତେବେଳେ ବେଥେଲ୍ ନିବାସୀ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଦଳ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ବାହାରି ଆସି ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଆଜି ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ନେଇଯିବେ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ଜାଣୁଅଛ?” ତହୁଁ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ହଁ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣୁଅଛି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁନି ହୁଅ।”
4 Forsothe Elie seide to Elisee, Sitte thou here, for the Lord sente me into Jerico. And he seide, The Lord lyueth and thi soule lyueth, for Y schal not forsake thee. And whanne thei hadden come to Jerico,
ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏଲୀୟ ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ, ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଏଠାରେ ଥାଅ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଯିରୀହୋକୁ ପଠାଇଅଛନ୍ତି।” ଏଥିରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ିବି ନାହିଁ।” ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ଯିରୀହୋକୁ ଗଲେ।
5 the sones of prophetis, that weren in Jerico, neiyiden to Elisee, and seiden to hym, Whether thou knowist, that the Lord schal take awei thi lord to dai fro thee? And he seide, Y knowe; be ye stille.
ଏଥିରେ ଯିରୀହୋ ନିବାସୀ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଦଳ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଆସି ତାଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଆଜି ତୁମ୍ଭଠାରୁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ନେଇଯିବେ ବୋଲି ତୁମ୍ଭେ କʼଣ ଜାଣୁଅଛ?” ସେ ଉତ୍ତର କଲେ, “ହଁ, ମୁଁ ଜାଣୁଅଛି; ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ତୁନି ହୁଅ।”
6 Forsothe Elie seide to Elisee, Sitte thou here, for the Lord sente me `til to Jordan. Which seide, The Lord lyueth and thi soule lyueth, for Y schal not forsake thee. Therfor bothe yeden togidere;
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏଲୀୟ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଏଠାରେ ଥାଅ; କାରଣ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ମୋତେ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନକୁ ପଠାଇଅଛନ୍ତି।” ତହୁଁ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ଓ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରାଣ ଜୀବିତ ଥିବା ପ୍ରମାଣେ ମୁଁ ଆପଣଙ୍କୁ ଛାଡ଼ିବି ନାହିଁ।” ଏଥିରେ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଅଗ୍ରସର ହେଲେ।
7 and fifti men of the sones of prophetis sueden, which also stoden fer euen ayens; sothely thei bothe stoden ouer Jordan.
ପୁଣି ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଦଳ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ପଚାଶ ଜଣ ଯାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଦୂରରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ; ଆଉ ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ନିକଟରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ।
8 And Elie took his mentil, and wlappide it, and smoot the watris; whiche weren departid `into euer ethir part, and bothe yeden bi the drie.
ଏଥିରେ ଏଲୀୟ ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ନେଇ ଏକତ୍ର ଗୁଡ଼ାଇ ଜଳକୁ ଆଘାତ କଲେ, ତହିଁରେ ଜଳ ଏପାଖେ ସେପାଖେ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହୋଇଯାଆନ୍ତେ, ସେ ଦୁହେଁ ଶୁଷ୍କ ଭୂମି ଦେଇ ପାର ହୋଇଗଲେ।
9 And whanne thei hadden passid, Elie seide to Elisee, Axe thou that, that thou wolt that Y do to thee, bifor that Y be takun awey fro thee. And Elisee seide, Y biseche, that thi double spirit be `maad in me.
ପୁଣି ସେମାନେ ପାର ହୋଇଗଲା ଉତ୍ତାରେ ଏଲୀୟ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପାଇଁ କଅଣ କରିବି, ଏହା ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରୁ ନିଆଯିବା ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମାଗ।” ତହିଁରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ମୁଁ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛି, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମାର ଦୁଇଗୁଣ ଅଂଶ ମୋʼ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତୁ।”
10 Which Elie answeride, Thou axist an hard thing; netheles if thou schalt se me, whanne Y schal be takun awei fro thee, that that thou axidist schal be; sotheli, if thou schalt not se, it schal not be.
ଏଥିରେ ଏଲୀୟ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେ ଦୁଃସାଧ୍ୟ ବିଷୟ ମାଗିଲ; ତଥାପି ମୁଁ ତୁମ୍ଭ ନିକଟରୁ ନିଆଯିବା ବେଳେ ଯେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭେ ମୋତେ ଦେଖିବ, ତେବେ ତୁମ୍ଭ ପ୍ରତି ତଦ୍ରୂପ ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ; ମାତ୍ର ତାହା ନ ହେଲେ, ବର୍ତ୍ତିବ ନାହିଁ।”
11 And whanne thei yeden, and spaken goynge, lo! a chare of fier and horsys of fier departiden euer either; and Elie stiede bi a whirlewynd in to heuene.
ଏହିରୂପେ ସେମାନେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ ଓ କଥାବାର୍ତ୍ତା କରୁ କରୁ ଦେଖ, ଏକ ଅଗ୍ନିମୟ ରଥ ଓ ଅଗ୍ନିମୟ ଅଶ୍ୱମାନ ଉପସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ସେ ଦୁହିଁଙ୍କୁ ପୃଥକ କଲା; ପୁଣି ଏଲୀୟ ଘୂର୍ଣ୍ଣିବାୟୁରେ ସ୍ୱର୍ଗାରୋହଣ କଲେ।
12 Forsothe Elise siy, and criede, My fadir! my fadir! the chare of Israel, and the charietere therof. And he siy no more Elie. And he took hise clothis, and to-rente tho in to twei partis.
ଆଉ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ତାହା ଦେଖି ଉଚ୍ଚସ୍ୱରରେ କହିଲେ, “ହେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପିତଃ, ହେ ଆମ୍ଭ ପିତଃ, ହେ ଇସ୍ରାଏଲର ରଥ ଓ ତହିଁର ଅଶ୍ୱାରୋହୀଗଣ!” ଏଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କୁ ଆଉ ଦେଖିଲେ ନାହିଁ; ଏଣୁ ସେ ଆପଣା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ଧରି ଦୁଇ ଖଣ୍ଡ କରି ଚିରିଲେ।
13 And he reiside the mentil of Elie, that felde doun to hym; and he turnede ayen, and stood ouer the ryuer of Jordan.
ମଧ୍ୟ ସେ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପଡ଼ିଥିବା ବସ୍ତ୍ରଖଣ୍ଡ ଉଠାଇ ନେଲେ ଓ ଫେରିଯାଇ ଯର୍ଦ୍ଦନ ତୀରରେ ଠିଆ ହେଲେ।
14 And with the mentil of Elie, that felde doun to hym, he smoot the watris, whiche weren not departid. And he seide, Where is God of Elie also now? And he smoot the watris, and tho weren departid hidur and thidur; and Elisee passide.
ପୁଣି ସେ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କଠାରୁ ପଡ଼ିଥିବା ବସ୍ତ୍ର ନେଇ ଜଳକୁ ଆଘାତ କରି କହିଲେ, “ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କର ପରମେଶ୍ୱର କାହାନ୍ତି?” ପୁଣି ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଳକୁ ଆଘାତ କରନ୍ତେ, ତାହା ଏପାଖେ ସେପାଖେ ବିଭକ୍ତ ହୋଇଗଲା; ତହିଁରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ପାର ହୋଇଗଲେ।
15 Sotheli the sones of prophetis, that weren in Jerico euene ayens, siyen, and seiden, The spirit of Elie restide on Elisee. And thei camen in to the meetyng of hym, and worschipiden hym lowli to erthe.
ଆଉ ଯିରୀହୋ ନିବାସୀ ଭବିଷ୍ୟଦ୍ବକ୍ତାଗଣଙ୍କ ଯେଉଁ ଦଳ ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଥିଲେ, ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖି କହିଲେ, “ଏଲୀୟଙ୍କର ଆତ୍ମା ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କ ଉପରେ ବର୍ତ୍ତିଲା।” ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ ଭେଟିବାକୁ ଆସି ତାଙ୍କ ସମ୍ମୁଖରେ ଭୂମିଷ୍ଠ ପ୍ରଣାମ କଲେ।
16 And thei seiden to hym, Lo! with thi seruauntis ben fifti stronge men, that moun go, and seke thi lord, lest perauenture the Spirit of the Lord hath take hym, and hath cast forth hym in oon of the hillis, ethir in oon of the valeys.
ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଏବେ ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆପଣଙ୍କ ଦାସମାନଙ୍କ ସଙ୍ଗେ ପଚାଶ ବଳବାନ ଲୋକ ଅଛନ୍ତି; ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛୁ, ସେମାନେ ଯାଇ ଆପଣଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜନ୍ତୁ; ହୋଇପାରେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ଆତ୍ମା ତାଙ୍କୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ୱକୁ ନେଇ କୌଣସି ପର୍ବତ ଅବା ଉପତ୍ୟକାରେ ପକାଇ ଦେଇଥିବେ।” ଏଥିରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ କହିଲେ, “ତୁମ୍ଭେମାନେ ପଠାଅ ନାହିଁ।”
17 Which seide, `Nyle ye sende. And thei constreyneden hym, til he assentide to hem, and seide, Sende ye. And thei senten fifti men; and whanne thei hadden souyt bi thre daies, thei founden not.
ତଥାପି ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଲଜ୍ଜିତ ହେବା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ପ୍ରବର୍ତ୍ତାନ୍ତେ, ସେ କହିଲେ, “ପଠାଅ।” ଏହେତୁ ସେମାନେ ପଚାଶ ଲୋକ ପଠାଇଲେ, ଆଉ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କୁ ତିନି ଦିନ ଖୋଜିଲେ, ମାତ୍ର ପାଇଲେ ନାହିଁ।
18 And thei turneden ayen to hym; and he dwelide in Jerico. And he seide to hem, Whether Y seide not to you, Nyle ye sende?
ପୁଣି ଇଲୀଶାୟ ଯିରୀହୋରେ ଥାଉ ଥାଉ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ଫେରି ଆସିଲେ; ଏଥିରେ ସେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ନ ଯାଅ ବୋଲି ମୁଁ କʼଣ ତୁମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କୁ କହି ନ ଥିଲି।”
19 Therfor the men of the citee seiden to Elisee, Lo! the dwellyng of this cite is ful good, as thou thi silf, lord, seest; but the watris ben ful yuele, and the lond is bareyn.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ନଗରସ୍ଥ ଲୋକମାନେ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କୁ କହିଲେ, “ଦେଖନ୍ତୁ, ଆମ୍ଭେମାନେ ବିନୟ କରୁଅଛୁ, ଆମ୍ଭମାନଙ୍କ ପ୍ରଭୁ ଦେଖୁଅଛନ୍ତି ଯେ, ଏହି ନଗରର ସ୍ଥାନ ମନୋରମ; ମାତ୍ର ଜଳ ମନ୍ଦ ଓ ଭୂମି ଫଳନାଶକ।”
20 And he seide, Brynge ye to me a newe vessel, and sende ye salt in to it. And whanne thei hadden brouyt it,
ତହିଁରେ ସେ କହିଲେ, “ମୋʼ ନିକଟକୁ ଗୋଟିଏ ନୂତନ ପାତ୍ର ଆଣ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ଲବଣ ଦିଅ।” ତହୁଁ ସେମାନେ ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟକୁ ତାହା ଆଣିଲେ।
21 he yede out to the welle of watris, and sente salt in to it, and seide, The Lord seith these thingis, Y haue helid these watris, and nethir deeth, nether bareynesse, schal be more in tho.
ଏଥିରେ ସେ ଜଳ ନିର୍ଝର ନିକଟକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ତହିଁରେ ଲବଣ ପକାଇ କହିଲେ, ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁ ଏହି କଥା କହନ୍ତି, “ମୁଁ ଏହି ଜଳ ଭଲ କଲି; ତାହା ମୃତ୍ୟୁୁଜନକ ଅବା ଫଳନାଶକ ଆଉ ହେବ ନାହିଁ।”
22 Therfor the watris weren heelid til in to this dai, bi the word of Elisee, which he spak.
ଏହିରୂପେ ଇଲୀଶାୟଙ୍କର ଉକ୍ତ ବାକ୍ୟାନୁସାରେ ସେହି ଜଳ ଆଜି ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ଭଲ ହୋଇଅଛି।
23 Forsothe Elisee stiede fro thennus in to Bethel; and whanne he stiede bi the weie, litle children yeden out of the citee, and scorneden hym, and seiden, Stie, thou ballard! stie, thou ballard!
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ଇଲୀଶାୟ ସେଠାରୁ ବେଥେଲ୍କୁ ଗଲେ; ପୁଣି ସେ ପଥରେ ଯାଉ ଯାଉ କେତେକ କ୍ଷୁଦ୍ର ବାଳକ ନଗରରୁ ବାହାରି ଆସି ତାଙ୍କୁ ପରିହାସ କରି କହିଲେ, “ଆରେ ଟାଙ୍ଗରାମୁଣ୍ଡା, ଉପରକୁ ଯା; ଆରେ ଟାଙ୍ଗରାମୁଣ୍ଡା, ଉପରକୁ ଯା।”
24 And whanne he hadde biholde, he siy hem, and curside hem in the name of the Lord. And twey beeris yeden out of the forest, and to-rente fourti children of hem.
ଏଥିରେ ସେ ଆପଣା ପଛକୁ ଅନାଇ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଦେଖିଲେ ଓ ସଦାପ୍ରଭୁଙ୍କ ନାମରେ ସେମାନଙ୍କୁ ଅଭିଶାପ ଦେଲେ। ସେତେବେଳେ ବନରୁ ଦୁଇ ଭଲ୍ଲୁକୀ ବାହାରି ଆସି ସେମାନଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ବୟାଳିଶ ଜଣ ବାଳକଙ୍କୁ ବିଦୀର୍ଣ୍ଣ କଲେ।
25 Sotheli Elisee wente fro thennus in to the hil of Carmele, and fro thennus he turnede `ayen to Samarie.
ଏଥିଉତ୍ତାରେ ସେ ସେଠାରୁ କର୍ମିଲ ପର୍ବତକୁ ଗଲେ ଓ ସେଠାରୁ ଶମରୀୟାକୁ ଫେରିଗଲେ।
