2 Kings 14
1 Yn the secounde yeer of Joas, sone of Joachas, kyng of Israel, Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, regnyde.
Katika mwaka wa pili wa utawala wa Yehoashi mwana wa Yehoahazi mfalme wa Israeli, Amazia mwana wa Yoashi mfalme wa Yuda alianza kutawala.
2 Amasie was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne; forsothe he regnyde in Jerusalem nyne and twenti yeer; the name of his modir was Joade of Jerusalem.
Alikuwa na umri wa miaka ishirini na mitano alipoanza kutawala, naye akatawala huko Yerusalemu kwa miaka ishirini na tisa. Mama yake aliitwa Yehoadani, kutoka Yerusalemu.
3 And he dide riytfulnesse bifor the Lord, netheles not as Dauid, his fadir; he dide bi alle thingis whiche Joas, his fadir, dide, no but this oonli,
Akatenda yaliyo mema machoni pa Bwana, lakini sio kama Daudi baba yake alivyokuwa amefanya. Katika kila kitu alifuata mfano wa Yoashi baba yake.
4 that he dide not awei hiy thingis; for yit the puple made sacrifice, and brent encence in hiy thingis.
Hata hivyo mahali pa juu pa kuabudia hapakuondolewa. Watu waliendelea kutoa kafara na kufukiza uvumba huko.
5 And whanne he hadde gete the rewme, he smoot hise seruauntis, that hadden killid the kyng, his fadir;
Baada ya ufalme kuimarika mikononi mwake, aliwaua maafisa waliomuua mfalme baba yake.
6 but he killide not the sones of hem that hadden slayn `the kyng, bi that that is writun in the book of the lawe of Moyses, as the Lord comaundide to Moises, and seide, Fadris schulen not die for the sones, nethir the sones for the fadris, but eche man schal die in his owne synne.
Hata hivyo, hakuwaua wana wa wale wauaji, sawasawa na ilivyoandikwa katika Kitabu cha Sheria ya Mose ambako Bwana aliamuru, “Baba hawatauawa kwa ajili ya watoto wao, wala watoto kwa ajili ya baba zao. Kila mmoja atakufa kwa ajili ya dhambi zake mwenyewe.”
7 He smoot Edom in the valey of makyngis of salt, `he smoot ten thousynde, and took `the Stoon in batel; and he clepide the name therof Jethel, `til in to present dai.
Ndiye aliwashinda Waedomu elfu kumi katika Bonde la Chumvi, na akauteka Sela katika vita, naye akauita Yoktheeli, jina ambalo mji huo unalo hadi leo.
8 Thanne Amasie sente messangeris to Joas, sone of Joachaz, sone of Hieu, kyng of Israel, and seide, Come thou, and se we vs `in batel.
Kisha Amazia akatuma wajumbe kwa Yehoashi mwana wa Yehoahazi, mwana wa Yehu, mfalme wa Israeli, akisema, “Njoo, tuonane uso kwa uso.”
9 And Joas, kyng of Israel, sente ayen to Amasie, kyng of Juda, and seide, The cardue, `that is, a low eerbe, and ful of thornes, of the Liban sente to the cedre, which is in the Liban, and seide, Yyue thi douytir wijf to my sone; and the beestis of the forest, that ben in the Liban, passiden, and tredden doun the cardue.
Lakini Yehoashi mfalme wa Israeli akamjibu Amazia mfalme wa Yuda: “Mbaruti uliokuwa Lebanoni ulituma ujumbe kwa mwerezi uliokuwa Lebanoni, ‘Mtoe binti yako aolewe na mwanangu.’ Kisha mnyama wa mwituni aliyekuwa Lebanoni akaja na kuukanyaga ule mbaruti.
10 Thou hast smyte, and haddist the maistri on Edom, and thin herte hath reisid thee; be thou apaied with glorie, and sitte in thin hows; whi excitist thou yuel, that thou falle, and Juda with thee?
Hakika umeishinda Edomu, na sasa unajivuna. Jisifu katika ushindi wako, lakini kaa nyumbani kwako! Kwa nini unachokoza na kujiletea anguko lako mwenyewe na la Yuda pia?”
11 And Amasie assentide not `to be in pees; and Joas, kyng of Israel, stiede, and he and Amasie, kyng of Juda, sien hem silf in Bethsames, a citee of Juda.
Hata hivyo, Amazia hakusikia, hivyo Yehoashi mfalme wa Israeli akashambulia. Yeye na Amazia mfalme wa Yuda wakakutana uso kwa uso huko Beth-Shemeshi katika Yuda.
12 And Juda was smytun bifor Israel; and thei fledden ech man in to his tabernaclis.

13 Sotheli Joas, kyng of Israel, took in Bethsames Amasie, kyng of Juda, the sone of Joas, sone of Ocozie, and brouyte hym in to Jerusalem; and he brak the wal of Jerusalem, fro the yate of Effraym `til to the yate of the corner, bi foure hundrid cubitis.
Yehoashi mfalme wa Israeli akamteka Amazia mfalme wa Yuda, mwana wa Yoashi, mwana wa Ahazia, huko Beth-Shemeshi. Kisha Yehoashi akaenda Yerusalemu na kuubomoa ukuta wa Yerusalemu kuanzia Lango la Efraimu hadi Lango la Pembeni, sehemu yenye urefu wa kama dhiraa 400.
14 And he took al the gold and siluer, and alle vessels, that weren foundun in the hows of the Lord, and in the tresours of the kyng; and he took ostagis, and turnede ayen in to Samarie.
Akachukua dhahabu yote na fedha na vyombo vyote vilivyopatikana ndani ya Hekalu la Bwana na katika hazina zote za jumba la mfalme. Akachukua pia mateka na akarudi Samaria.
15 Sotheli the resydue of wordis of Joas, whiche he dide, and his strengthe, bi which he fauyt ayens Amasie, kyng of Juda, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of dayes of the kyngis of Israel?
Matukio mengine ya utawala wa Yehoashi, aliyoyafanya na mafanikio yake, pamoja na vita vyake dhidi ya Amazia mfalme wa Yuda, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Israeli?
16 And Joas slepte with hise fadris, and was biried in Samarie with the kyngis of Israel; and Jeroboam, his sone, regnede for hym.
Yehoashi akalala pamoja na baba zake, akazikwa Samaria pamoja na wafalme wa Israeli, naye Yeroboamu mwanawe akawa mfalme baada yake.
17 Forsothe Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, lyuede fyue and twenti yeer, after that Joas, sone of Joachaz, kyng of Israel, was deed.
Amazia mwana wa Yoashi mfalme wa Yuda aliishi miaka kumi na mitano baada ya kifo cha Yehoashi mwana wa Yehoahazi mfalme wa Israeli.
18 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Amasie, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
Matukio mengine ya utawala wa Amazia, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Yuda?
19 And `sweryng togidir in Jerusalem was maad ayens hym, and he fledde in to Lachis; and thei senten aftir hym in to Lachis, and killiden hym there.
Wakafanya shauri baya dhidi ya Amazia huko Yerusalemu, naye akakimbilia Lakishi, lakini wakawatuma watu wamfuatilie huko Lakishi, nao wakamuulia huko.
20 And thei baren out hym in horsis, and he was biried in Jerusalem with hise fadris, in the citee of Dauid.
Akarudishwa kwa farasi na akazikwa huko Yerusalemu pamoja na baba zake katika Mji wa Daudi.
21 Forsothe al the puple of Juda took Azarie, hauynge sixtene yeer; and maden hym king for his fadir Amasie.
Kisha watu wote wa Yuda wakamchukua Azaria aliyekuwa na umri wa miaka kumi na sita, na kumfanya mfalme mahali pa baba yake Amazia.
22 And he bildide Ahila, and restoride it to Juda, after that `the kyng slepte with hise fadris.
Ndiye aliijenga tena Elathi na kuirudisha kwa Yuda baada ya Amazia kulala pamoja na baba zake.
23 In the fiftenethe yeer of Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, Jeroboam, sone of Joas, kyng of Israel, regnyde in Samarie oon and fourti yeer;
Katika mwaka wa kumi na tano wa utawala wa Amazia mwana wa Yoashi mfalme wa Yuda, Yeroboamu mwana wa Yehoashi mfalme wa Israeli alianza kutawala huko Samaria, naye akatawala kwa miaka arobaini na mmoja.
24 and dide that, that is yuel bifor the Lord; he yede not awei fro alle the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, that made Israel to do synne.
Akafanya maovu machoni pa Bwana, na hakuacha dhambi hata moja ya Yeroboamu mwana wa Nebati, ambazo alikuwa amesababisha Israeli kuzitenda.
25 He restoride the termes of Israel, fro the entryng of Emath `til to the see of wildirnesse, bi the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spak bi his seruaunt Jonas, sone of Amathi, bi Jonas, the prophete, that was of Jeth, `which Jeth is in Ophir.
Ndiye alirudishia mipaka ya Israeli kuanzia Lebo-Hamathi hadi Bahari ya Araba, sawasawa na neno la Bwana, Mungu wa Israeli, lililosemwa kupitia mtumishi wake Yona mwana wa Amitai, nabii kutoka Gath-Heferi.
26 For the Lord siy the ful bittir turment of Israel, and that thei weren wastid `til to the closid men of prisoun, and the laste men, and `noon was that helpide Israel.
Bwana alikuwa ameona jinsi kila mmoja katika Israeli, awe mtumwa au aliye huru, alivyoteseka kwa uchungu; hapakuwepo na yeyote wa kuwasaidia.
27 And the Lord spak not, that he schulde do awei Israel fro vndur heuene, but he sauyde hem in the hond of Jeroboam, sone of Joas.
Kwa kuwa Bwana alikuwa hajasema kuwa atafuta jina la Israeli chini ya mbingu, akawaokoa kwa mkono wa Yeroboamu mwana wa Yehoashi.
28 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Jeroboam, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and the strengthe of hym, bi which he fauyt, and hou he restoride Damask, and Emath of Juda, in Israel, whether these ben not wrytun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
Kwa matukio mengine ya utawala wa Yeroboamu, yote aliyoyafanya na mafanikio yake ya kijeshi, ikiwa ni pamoja na jinsi alivyorudisha Dameski na Hamathi kwa Israeli, ambayo ilikuwa mali ya Yuda, je, hayakuandikwa katika kitabu cha kumbukumbu za wafalme wa Israeli?
29 And Jeroboam slepte with hise fadris, the kyngis of Israel; and Azarie, his sone, regnede for hym.
Yeroboamu akalala pamoja na baba zake, wafalme wa Israeli. Naye Zekaria mwanawe akawa mfalme baada yake.
