2 Kings 14
1 Yn the secounde yeer of Joas, sone of Joachas, kyng of Israel, Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, regnyde.
Léta druhého Joasa syna Joachaza, krále Izraelského, kraloval Amaziáš syn Joasa, krále Judského.
2 Amasie was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne; forsothe he regnyde in Jerusalem nyne and twenti yeer; the name of his modir was Joade of Jerusalem.
V pětmecítma letech byl, když počal kralovati, a kraloval dvadceti devět let v Jeruzalémě. Jméno matky jeho Joadan z Jeruzaléma.
3 And he dide riytfulnesse bifor the Lord, netheles not as Dauid, his fadir; he dide bi alle thingis whiche Joas, his fadir, dide, no but this oonli,
Ten činil to, což dobrého jest před očima Hospodinovýma, ačkoli ne tak jako David otec jeho. Všecko, což činil Joas otec jeho, tak činil.
4 that he dide not awei hiy thingis; for yit the puple made sacrifice, and brent encence in hiy thingis.
A však výsostí nezkazili, ještě lid obětoval a kadil na výsostech.
5 And whanne he hadde gete the rewme, he smoot hise seruauntis, that hadden killid the kyng, his fadir;
I stalo se, když upevněno bylo království v ruce jeho, že pobil služebníky své, kteříž byli zabili krále otce jeho.
6 but he killide not the sones of hem that hadden slayn `the kyng, bi that that is writun in the book of the lawe of Moyses, as the Lord comaundide to Moises, and seide, Fadris schulen not die for the sones, nethir the sones for the fadris, but eche man schal die in his owne synne.
Synů pak těch vražedlníků nepobil, jakož jest psáno v knize zákona Mojžíšova, kdež přikázal Hospodin, řka: Nebudouť na hrdle trestáni otcové za syny, aniž synové trestáni budou na hrdle za otce, ale jeden každý za svůj hřích umře.
7 He smoot Edom in the valey of makyngis of salt, `he smoot ten thousynde, and took `the Stoon in batel; and he clepide the name therof Jethel, `til in to present dai.
On také porazil Idumejských v údolí solnatém deset tisíců, a dobyl Sela bojem. I nazval jméno jeho Jektehel až do tohoto dne.
8 Thanne Amasie sente messangeris to Joas, sone of Joachaz, sone of Hieu, kyng of Israel, and seide, Come thou, and se we vs `in batel.
Tedy poslal Amaziáš posly k Joasovi synu Joachaza, syna Jéhu krále Izraelského, řka: Nuže, pohleďme sobě v oči.
9 And Joas, kyng of Israel, sente ayen to Amasie, kyng of Juda, and seide, The cardue, `that is, a low eerbe, and ful of thornes, of the Liban sente to the cedre, which is in the Liban, and seide, Yyue thi douytir wijf to my sone; and the beestis of the forest, that ben in the Liban, passiden, and tredden doun the cardue.
Zase poslal Joas král Izraelský k Amaziášovi králi Judskému a řekl: Bodlák, kterýž byl na Libánu, poslal k cedru Libánskému, řka: Dej dceru svou synu mému za manželku. V tom šlo tudy zvíře polní, kteréž bylo na Libánu, a pošlapalo ten bodlák.
10 Thou hast smyte, and haddist the maistri on Edom, and thin herte hath reisid thee; be thou apaied with glorie, and sitte in thin hows; whi excitist thou yuel, that thou falle, and Juda with thee?
Že jsi mocně porazil Idumejské, protož pozdvihlo tě srdce tvé. Chlub se a seď v domě svém. I proč se máš plésti v neštěstí, abys padl ty i Juda s tebou?
11 And Amasie assentide not `to be in pees; and Joas, kyng of Israel, stiede, and he and Amasie, kyng of Juda, sien hem silf in Bethsames, a citee of Juda.
Ale Amaziáš neuposlechl. Protož vytáhl Joas král Izraelský, a pohleděli sobě v oči, on s Amaziášem králem Judským u Betsemes Judova.
12 And Juda was smytun bifor Israel; and thei fledden ech man in to his tabernaclis.
I poražen jest Juda od Izraele, a utíkali jeden každý do příbytků svých.
13 Sotheli Joas, kyng of Israel, took in Bethsames Amasie, kyng of Juda, the sone of Joas, sone of Ocozie, and brouyte hym in to Jerusalem; and he brak the wal of Jerusalem, fro the yate of Effraym `til to the yate of the corner, bi foure hundrid cubitis.
Amaziáše pak krále Judského, syna Joasa syna Ochoziášova, jal Joas král Izraelský u Betsemes, a přitáh do Jeruzaléma, zbořil zed Jeruzalémskou, od brány Efraim až k bráně úhlu, na čtyři sta loktů.
14 And he took al the gold and siluer, and alle vessels, that weren foundun in the hows of the Lord, and in the tresours of the kyng; and he took ostagis, and turnede ayen in to Samarie.
A pobral všecko zlato i stříbro, a všecky nádoby, kteréž se nalézaly v domě Hospodinově a v pokladích domu královského, také i mládence zastavené, a navrátil se do Samaří.
15 Sotheli the resydue of wordis of Joas, whiche he dide, and his strengthe, bi which he fauyt ayens Amasie, kyng of Juda, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of dayes of the kyngis of Israel?
O jiných pak činech Joasa, kteréž činil, i síle jeho, a kterak bojoval proti Amaziášovi králi Judskému, psáno jest v knize o králích Izraelských.
16 And Joas slepte with hise fadris, and was biried in Samarie with the kyngis of Israel; and Jeroboam, his sone, regnede for hym.
I usnul Joas s otci svými, a pochován jest v Samaří s králi Izraelskými, i kraloval Jeroboám syn jeho místo něho.
17 Forsothe Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, lyuede fyue and twenti yeer, after that Joas, sone of Joachaz, kyng of Israel, was deed.
Živ pak byl Amaziáš syn Joasův, král Judský, po smrti Joasa syna Joachaza, krále Izraelského, patnácte let.
18 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Amasie, whether these ben not writun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Juda?
O jiných pak věcech Amaziášových psáno jest v knize o králích Judských.
19 And `sweryng togidir in Jerusalem was maad ayens hym, and he fledde in to Lachis; and thei senten aftir hym in to Lachis, and killiden hym there.
Potom spuntovali se proti němu v Jeruzalémě, a on utekl do Lachis. Protož poslali za ním do Lachis, a zamordovali ho tam.
20 And thei baren out hym in horsis, and he was biried in Jerusalem with hise fadris, in the citee of Dauid.
Odkudž odnesli jej na koních, a pochován jest v Jeruzalémě s otci svými v městě Davidově.
21 Forsothe al the puple of Juda took Azarie, hauynge sixtene yeer; and maden hym king for his fadir Amasie.
Tedy všecken lid Judský vzali Azariáše, kterýž byl v šestnácti letech, a ustanovili ho za krále na místě otce jeho Amaziáše.
22 And he bildide Ahila, and restoride it to Juda, after that `the kyng slepte with hise fadris.
Onť jest vzdělal Elat a dobyl ho Judovi, když byl již usnul král s otci svými.
23 In the fiftenethe yeer of Amasie, sone of Joas, kyng of Juda, Jeroboam, sone of Joas, kyng of Israel, regnyde in Samarie oon and fourti yeer;
Léta patnáctého Amaziáše syna Joasa, krále Judského, kraloval Jeroboám syn Joasa, krále Izraelského, v Samaří čtyřidceti a jedno léto.
24 and dide that, that is yuel bifor the Lord; he yede not awei fro alle the synnes of Jeroboam, sone of Nabath, that made Israel to do synne.
A činil to, což jest zlého před očima Hospodinovýma, neuchýliv se od žádných hříchů Jeroboáma syna Nebatova, kterýž k hřešení přivedl Izraele.
25 He restoride the termes of Israel, fro the entryng of Emath `til to the see of wildirnesse, bi the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he spak bi his seruaunt Jonas, sone of Amathi, bi Jonas, the prophete, that was of Jeth, `which Jeth is in Ophir.
On zase dobyl končin Izraelských od toho místa, kudy se jde do Emat, až k moři pustému, vedlé řeči Hospodina Boha Izraelského, kterouž byl mluvil skrze služebníka svého Jonáše syna Amaty proroka, kterýž byl z Gethefer.
26 For the Lord siy the ful bittir turment of Israel, and that thei weren wastid `til to the closid men of prisoun, and the laste men, and `noon was that helpide Israel.
Nebo viděl Hospodin trápení Izraele těžké náramně, a že jakož zajatý, tak i zanechaný s nic býti nemůže, aniž jest, kdo by spomohl Izraelovi.
27 And the Lord spak not, that he schulde do awei Israel fro vndur heuene, but he sauyde hem in the hond of Jeroboam, sone of Joas.
A nemluvil Hospodin, že by chtěl zahladiti jméno Izraele, aby ho nebylo pod nebem; protož vysvobodil je skrze Jeroboáma syna Joasova.
28 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Jeroboam, and alle thingis whiche he dide, and the strengthe of hym, bi which he fauyt, and hou he restoride Damask, and Emath of Juda, in Israel, whether these ben not wrytun in the book of wordis of daies of the kyngis of Israel?
O jiných pak věcech Jeroboámových, a cožkoli činil, i o síle jeho, a kterak bojoval, jak zase dobyl Damašku a Emat Judova Izraelovi, psáno jest v knize o králích Izraelských.
29 And Jeroboam slepte with hise fadris, the kyngis of Israel; and Azarie, his sone, regnede for hym.
I usnul Jeroboám s otci svými, s králi Izraelskými, a kraloval Zachariáš syn jeho místo něho.
