2 Corinthians 5
1 And we witen, that if oure ertheli hous of this dwellynge be dissoluyd, that we han a bildyng of God, an hous not maad bi hondis, euerlastynge in heuenes. (aiōnios g166)
Ker vemo, če zemeljska naša hiša prebivanja razpade, da imamo prebivališče od Boga, hišo ne z rokami napravljeno, večno v nebesih. (aiōnios g166)
2 For whi in this thing we mornen, coueitynge to be clothid aboue with oure dwellyng, which is of heuene; if netheles we ben foundun clothid,
Kajti tudi v tem zdihujemo, želeč obleči se v prebivališče svoje, ktero je iz nebes,
3 and not nakid.
Če se bomo le tudi oblečeni, ne goli našli.
4 For whi and we that ben in this tabernacle, sorewen with ynne, and ben heuyed, for that we wolen not be spuylid, but be clothid aboue; that the ilke thing that is deedli, be sopun vp of lijf.
Kajti kteri smo v tem prebivanji, zdihujemo obteženi; ker se ne čemo sleči, nego na to obleči, da življenje pogoltne to, kar je smrtno.
5 But who is it that makith vs in to this same thing? God, that yaf to vs the ernes of the spirit.
Kteri nas je pa ravno za to ustvaril, Bog je, kteri nam je tudi dal zalog duha.
6 Therfor we ben hardi algatis, and witen that the while we ben in this bodi, we goen in pilgrymage fro the Lord;
Dobre volje smo torej vsegdar in vemo, dokler smo v telesu doma, da potujemo na tujem, od Gospoda.
7 for we walken bi feith, and not bi cleer siyt.
(Ker po veri hodimo, ne po gledanji.)
8 But we ben hardi, and han good wille, more to be in pilgrymage fro the bodi, and to be present to God.
Ali smo dobre volje in hočemo rajši izseliti se iz telesa in naseliti se k Gospodu.
9 And therfor we stryuen, whether absent, whether present, to plese hym.
Za to tudi hrepenimo biti mu ugodni, bodi si da smo doma, bodi si da smo se izselili.
10 For it bihoueth vs alle to be schewid bifor the trone of Crist, that euery man telle the propre thingis of the bodi, as he hath don, ethir good, ether yuel.
Kajti vsi se moramo pokazati pred sodišče Kristusovo, da prejme vsak po tem, kar je v telesu storil, bodi si dobro, bodi si hudo.
11 Therfor we witynge the drede of the Lord, councelen men, for to God we ben opyn; and Y hope, that we ben opyn also in youre consciencis.
Vedoč torej za strah Gospodov ljudem svetujemo, a Bogu smo razodeti. Upam pa, da smo tudi v vaših vestih razodeti.
12 We comenden not vs silf eftsoone to you, but we yyuen to you occasioun to haue glorie for vs, that ye haue to hem that glorien in the face, and not in the herte.
Ker vam zopet sami sebe ne hvalimo, nego vam priložnost dajemo hvaliti se z nami, da imate kaj proti tem, kteri se na lice hvalijo in ne v srcu.
13 For ethir we bi mynde passen to God, ether we ben sobre to you.
Ker če smo predaleč stopili, Bogu smo, če smo pa zmerni, vam smo.
14 For the charite of Crist dryueth vs; gessynge this thing, that if oon died for alle, thanne alle weren deed.
Kajti ljubezen Kristusova nas priganja, kteri smo to sodili da, če je eden za vse umrl, po tem so vsi umrli;
15 And Crist diede for alle, that thei that lyuen, lyue not now to hem silf, but to hym that diede for hem, and roos ayen.
In za vse je umrl, da bi ti, kteri živé, nič več za se ne živeli, nego za tega, kteri je za nje umrl in vstal.
16 Therfor we fro this tyme knowen no man aftir the fleische; thouy we knowun Crist aftir the fleisch, but nowe we knowun not.
Tako mi od sedaj nikogar ne poznamo po mesu; če smo pa tudi poznali po mesu Kristusa, ali sedaj nič več ne poznamo.
17 Therfor if ony newe creature is in Crist, the elde thingis ben passid.
Tako če je kdo v Kristusu, novo stvarjenje je; staro je prešlo, lej, postalo je novo vse.
18 And lo! alle thingis ben of God, which recounselide vs to hym bi Crist, and yaf to vs the seruyce of recounselyng.
A vse to je od Boga, kteri nas je spravil s seboj po Jezusu Kristusu in nam je dal službo sprave.
19 And God was in Crist, recounselynge to hym the world, not rettynge to hem her giltes, and puttide in vs the word of recounselyng.
Kajti Bog je bil v Kristusu in je svet spravil s seboj in ni mu zaračunil njegovih pregreh in položil je v nas besedo sprave.
20 Therfor we vsen message for Crist, as if God monestith bi vs; we bisechen for Crist, be ye recounselid to God.
Na mesto Kristusa smo torej poslani, kakor da bi Bog opominjal po nas. Prosimo na mesto Kristusa: spravite se z Bogom.
21 God the fadir made hym synne for vs, which knewe not synne, that we schulden be maad riytwisnesse of God in hym.
Kajti tega, kteri ni vedel za greh, storil je za voljo nas greh, da bi bili mi pravica Božja v njem.
