2 Corinthians 13
1 Lo! this thridde tyme Y come to you, and in the mouth of tweyne or of thre witnessis euery word schal stonde.
É esta a terceira vez que vou ter convosco. Na boca de duas ou três testemunhas será confirmada toda a palavra.
2 Y seide bifor, and seie bifor, as present twies, and now absent, to hem that bifor han synned, and to alle othere; for if Y come eftsoone, Y schal not spare.
Já anteriormente o disse: e segunda vez o digo como se estivesse presente; agora pois, estando ausente, o digo aos que de antes pecaram e a todos os mais, que, se outra vez for, não lhes perdoarei;
3 Whether ye seken the preef of that Crist, that spekith in me, which is not feble in you?
Visto que buscais uma prova de Cristo que fala em mim, o qual não é fraco para convosco, antes é poderoso entre vós.
4 For thouy he was crucified of infirmyte, but he lyueth of the vertu of God. For also we ben sijk in hym, but we schulen lyue with him of the vertu of God in vs.
Porque, ainda que foi crucificado por fraqueza, todavia vive pelo poder de Deus. Porque nós também somos fracos nele, porém viveremos com ele pelo poder de Deus em vós.
5 Asaie you silf, if ye ben in the feith; ye you silf preue. Whether ye knowen not you silf, for Crist Jhesu is in you? but in happe ye ben repreuable.
Examinai-vos a vós mesmos, se permaneceis na fé; provai-vos a vós mesmos. Ou não vos conheceis a vós mesmos, que Jesus Cristo está em vós? Se não é que já estais reprovados.
6 But Y hope, that ye knowen, that we ben not repreuable.
Mas espero que entendereis que nós não somos reprovados.
7 And we preien the Lord, that ye do no thing of yuel; not that we seme preued, but that ye do that that is good, and that we ben as repreuable.
Ora eu rogo a Deus que não façais mal algum, não para que sejamos achados aprovados, mas para que vós façais o bem, embora nós sejamos como reprovados.
8 For we moun no thing ayens treuthe, but for the treuthe.
Porque nada podemos contra a verdade, senão pela verdade.
9 For we ioyen, whanne we ben sijk, but ye ben myyti; and we preien this thing, youre perfeccioun.
Porque nos regozijamos de estar fracos, quando vós estais fortes; e o que desejamos é a vossa perfeição.
10 Therfor Y absent write these thingis, that Y present do not hardere, bi the powere, which the Lord yaf to me in to edificacioun, and not in to youre distruccioun.
Portanto, escrevo estas coisas estando ausente, para que, estando presente, não use de rigor, segundo o poder que o Senhor me deu para edificação, e não para destruição.
11 Britheren, `hennus forward ioye ye, be ye perfit, excite ye; vndurstonde ye the same thing; haue ye pees, and God of pees and of loue schal be with you.
Quanto ao mais, irmãos, regozijai-vos, sede perfeitos, sede consolados, sede de um mesmo parecer, vivei em paz; e o Deus do amor e da paz será convosco.
12 Grete ye wel togidere in hooli cos.
Saudai-vos uns aos outros com ósculo santo.
13 Alle hooli men greten you wel.
Todos os santos vos saudam.
14 The grace of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, and the charite of God, and the comynyng of the Hooli Gost, be with `you alle. Amen.
A graça do Senhor Jesus Cristo, e o amor de Deus, e a comunhão do Espírito Santo seja com vós todos. Amém.
