2 Corinthians 11
1 I wolde that ye wolden suffre a litil thing of myn vnwisdom, but also supporte ye me.
¡Ojalá me toleraseis un poco de fatuidad! Sí, ¡tolerádmela!
2 For Y loue you bi the loue of God; for Y haue spousid you to oon hosebonde, to yelde a chast virgyn to Crist.
Porque mi celo por vosotros es celo de Dios, como que a un solo esposo os he desposado, para presentaros cual casta virgen a Cristo.
3 But Y drede, lest as the serpent disseyuede Eue with his sutil fraude, so youre wittis ben corrupt, and fallen doun fro the symplenesse that is in Crist.
Sin embargo, temo que, como la serpiente engañó a Eva con su astucia, así vuestras mentes degeneren de la simplicidad y pureza que han de tener con Cristo.
4 For if he that cometh, prechith anothir Crist, whom we precheden not, or if ye taken another spirit, whom ye token not, or another gospel, which ye resseyueden not, riytli ye schulden suffre.
Porque si alguno viene y predica otro Jesús que al que nosotros hemos predicado, o si recibís otro Espíritu que el que recibisteis, u otro Evangelio que el que abrazasteis, bien lo toleraríais,
5 For Y wene that Y haue don no thing lesse than the grete apostlis.
y yo estimo que en nada soy inferior a tales superapóstoles.
6 For thouy Y be vnlerud in word, but not in kunnyng. For in alle thingis Y am open to you.
Pues aunque rudo soy en el hablar, no por cierto en el conocimiento, el cual hemos manifestado ante vosotros de todas maneras y en todas las cosas.
7 Or whether Y haue don synne, mekynge my silf, that ye be enhaunsid, for freli Y prechide to you the gospel of God?
¿O acaso pequé porque me humillé a mí mismo para que vosotros fueseis elevados y porque os prediqué el Evangelio de Dios gratuitamente?
8 Y made nakid othere chirchis, and Y took sowde to youre seruyce.
A otras Iglesias despojé recibiendo ( de ellas ) estipendio para serviros a vosotros.
9 And whanne Y was among you, and hadde nede, Y was chargeouse to no man; for britheren that camen fro Macedonye, fulfilliden that that failide to me. And in alle thingis Y haue kept, and schal kepe me with outen charge to you.
Y estando entre vosotros y hallándome necesitado, a nadie fui gravoso; pues mi necesidad la suplieron los hermanos venidos de Macedonia; y en todo me guardé y me guardaré de seros gravoso.
10 The treuthe of Crist is in me; for this glorie schal not be brokun in me in the cuntreis of Acaie.
Por la verdad de Cristo que está en mí ( os juro ) que esta gloria no sufrirá mengua en las regiones de Acaya.
11 Whi? for Y loue not you?
¿Por qué? ¿Es que no os amo? Dios lo sabe.
12 God woot. For that that Y do, and that Y schal do, is that Y kitte awei the occasioun of hem that wolen occasioun, that in the thing, in which thei glorien, thei be foundun as we.
Mas lo que hago, seguiré haciéndolo para cortar el pretexto a los que buscan una ocasión de ser como nosotros en el gloriarse.
13 For siche false apostlis ben trecherouse werk men, and transfiguren hem in to apostlis of Crist.
Porque los tales son falsos apóstoles, obreros engañosos que se disfrazan de apóstoles de Cristo.
14 And no wondur, for Sathanas hym silf transfigurith hym in to an aungel of light.
Y no es de extrañar, pues el mismo Satanás se disfraza de ángel de luz.
15 Therfor it is not greet, if hise mynystris ben transfigurid as the mynystris of riytwisnesse, whos ende schal be aftir her werkis.
No es, pues, gran cosa que sus ministros se disfracen de ministros de justicia. Su fin será correspondiente a sus obras.
16 Eft Y seie, lest ony man gesse me to be vnwise; ellis take ye me as vnwise, that also Y haue glorie a litil what.
Digo otra vez: Nadie crea que soy fatuo; y si no, aunque sea como fatuo, admitidme todavía que yo también me gloríe un poco.
17 That that Y speke, Y speke not aftir God, but as in vnwisdom, in this substaunce of glorie.
Lo que hablo en este asunto de la jactancia no lo hablo según el Señor, sino como en fatuidad.
18 For many men glorien aftir the fleisch, and Y schal glorie.
Ya que muchos se glorían según la carne, también ( así ) me gloriaré yo;
19 For ye suffren gladli vnwise men, whanne ye silf ben wise.
pues toleráis con gusto a los fatuos, siendo vosotros sensatos.
20 For ye susteynen, if ony man dryueth you in to seruage, if ony man deuourith, if ony man takith, if ony man is enhaunsid, if ony man smytith you on the face.
Vosotros, en efecto, soportáis si alguno os reduce a servidumbre, si os devora, si os defrauda, si se engríe, si os hiere en el rostro.
21 Bi vnnoblei Y seie, as if we weren sike in this parti. In what thing ony man dar, in vnwisdom Y seie, and Y dar.
Para deshonra mía digo esto como si nosotros hubiéramos sido débiles. Sin embargo, en cualquier cosa en que alguien alardee —hablo con fatuidad— alardeo también yo.
22 Thei ben Ebrewis, and Y; thei ben Israelitis, and Y; thei ben the seed of Abraham, and Y;
¿Son hebreos? También yo. ¿Son israelitas? También yo. ¿Son linaje de Abrahán? También yo.
23 thei ben the mynystris of Crist, and Y. As lesse wise Y seie, Y more; in ful many trauelis, in prisouns more plenteuousli, in woundis aboue maner, in deethis ofte tymes.
¿Son ministros de Cristo? —¡hablo como un loco!— yo más; en trabajos más que ellos, en prisiones más que ellos, en heridas muchísimo más, en peligros de muerte muchas veces más:
24 Y resseyuede of the Jewis fyue sithis fourti strokis oon lesse;
Recibí de los judíos cinco veces cuarenta azotes menos uno;
25 thries Y was betun with yerdis, onys Y was stonyd, thries Y was at shipbreche, a nyyt and a dai Y was in the depnesse of the see;
tres veces fui azotado con varas, una vez apedreado, tres veces naufragué, una noche y un día pasé en el mar;
26 in weies ofte, in perelis of floodis, in perelis of theues, in perelis of kyn, in perelis of hethene men, in perelis in citee, in perelis in desert, in perelis in the see, in perelis among false britheren, in trauel and nedynesse,
en viajes muchas veces ( más que ellos ); con peligros de ríos, peligros de salteadores, peligros de parte de mis compatriotas, peligros de parte de los gentiles, peligros en poblado, peligros en despoblado, peligros en el mar, peligros entre falsos hermanos;
27 in many wakyngis, in hungur, in thirst, in many fastyngis, in coold and nakidnesse.
en trabajos y fatigas, en vigilias muchas veces ( más que ellos ), en hambre y sed, en ayunos muchas veces, en frío y desnudez.
28 Withouten tho thingis that ben withoutforth, myn ech daies trauelyng is the bisynesse of alle chirchis.
Y aparte de esas ( pruebas ) exteriores, lo que cada día me persigue: la solicitud por todas las Iglesias.
29 Who is sijk, and Y am not sijk? who is sclaundrid, and Y am not brent?
¿Quién desfallece sin que desfallezca yo? ¿Quién padece escándalo, sin que yo arda?
30 If it bihoueth to glorie, Y schal glorie in tho thingis that ben of myn infirmyte.
Si es menester gloriarse, me gloriaré de lo que es propio de mi flaqueza.
31 God and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, that is blessid in to worldis, woot that Y lie not. (aiōn g165)
El Dios y Padre del Señor Jesús, el eternamente Bendito, sabe que no miento. (aiōn g165)
32 The preuost of Damask, of the kyng of the folk Arethe, kepte the citee of Damascenes to take me;
En Damasco, el etnarca del rey Aretas tenía custodiada la ciudad de los damascenos para prenderme;
33 and bi a wyndow in a leep Y was latun doun bi the wal, and so Y ascapide hise hondis.
y por una ventana fui descolgado del muro en un canasto, y escapé a sus manos.
