2 Chronicles 27
1 Joathan was of fyue and twenti yeer, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnede sixtene yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Jerusa, the douyter of Sadoch.
Jotam war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, als er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre lang zu Jerusalem. Und seine Mutter hieß Jerusa, eine Tochter Zadoks.
2 He dide that, that was riytful bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche Ozie, his fadir, hadde do; outakun that he entride not in to the temple of the Lord, and the puple trespasside yit.
Und er tat, was recht war in den Augen des HERRN, ganz wie sein Vater Ussia getan hatte, nur daß er nicht in den Tempel des HERRN ging. Aber das Volk handelte noch verderblich.
3 He bildide the hiy yate of the hous of the Lord, and he bildide manye thingis in the wal of Ophel;
Er baute das obere Tor am Hause des HERRN; auch an der Mauer des Ophel baute er viel.
4 also he bildide citees in the hillis of Juda, and he bildide castels and touris in forestis.
Er baute auch Städte auf dem Gebirge Juda; und in den Wäldern baute er Burgen und Türme.
5 He fauyt ayens the kyng of the sones of Amon, and ouercam hym; and the sones of Amon yauen to hym in that tyme an hundrid talentis of siluer, and ten thousynde choris of barli, and so many of wheete; the sones of Amon yauen these thingis to hym in the secounde and in the thridde yeer.
Und er stritt mit dem König der Kinder Ammon und überwältigte sie, also daß ihm die Kinder Ammon in jenem Jahr hundert Talente Silber und zehntausend Kor Weizen und zehntausend Kor Gerste gaben. Solches entrichteten ihm die Kinder Ammon auch im zweiten und dritten Jahr.
6 And Joathan was maad strong, for he hadde dressid hise weies bifor `his Lord God.
Also erstarkte Jotam; denn er wandelte richtig vor dem HERRN, seinem Gott.
7 Forsothe the residue of wordis of Joathan, and alle hise batels, and werkis, ben writun in the book of kyngis of Israel and of Juda.
Was aber mehr von Jotam zu sagen ist, und alle seine Wege und Kriege, siehe, das ist aufgezeichnet im Buch der Könige von Israel und Juda.

Mit fünfundzwanzig Jahren war er König geworden und regierte sechzehn Jahre lang zu Jerusalem.
9 And Joathan slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in the citee of Dauid; and Achaz, his sone, regnede for him.
Und Jotam entschlief mit seinen Vätern; und sie begruben ihn in der Stadt Davids; und sein Sohn Ahas ward König an seiner Statt.
