2 Chronicles 26
1 Forsothe al the puple of Juda made kyng, Ozie, his sone, `of sixtene yeer, for his fader Amasie.
੧ਤਦ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ
2 He bildide Hailath, and restoride it to the lordschipe of Juda, after that the kyng slepte with hise fadris.
੨ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਿਲ ਜਾਣ ਤੋਂ ਸੌ ਜਾਣ ਦੇ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਏਲੋਥ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੇਰ ਮਿਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
3 Ozie was of sixtene yeer, whanne he bigan to regne; and he regnede two and fifti yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Hiechelia, of Jerusalem.
੩ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਵੰਜਾ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਕਾਲਯਾਹ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸੀ
4 And he dide that, that was riytful in the siyt of the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche Amasie, his fadir, hadde do.
੪ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਸੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ
5 And he souyte the Lord in the daies of Zacarie, vndurstondynge and seynge God; and whanne he souyte God, God reulide hym in alle thingis.
੫ਉਹ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆਨਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਖੋਜੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਕੀਤਾ।
6 Forsothe he yede out, and fauyt ayens Filisteis, and distriede the wal of Geth, and the wal of Jabyne, and the wal of Azotus; and he bildide stronge places in Azotus and in Filistiym.
੬ਉਹ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਗਥ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਤੇ ਯਬਨਹ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੀ ਕੰਧ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣਾਏ
7 And the Lord helpide hym bothe ayens Filisteis, and ayens Arabeis that dwelliden in Garbahal, and ayenus Amonytis.
੭ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਰਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਗੂਰ-ਬਆਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਤੇ ਮਊਨੀਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ
8 Amonytis paieden yiftis to Ozie, and his name was pupplischid `til to the entryng of Egipt for ofte victories.
੮ਅਤੇ ਅੰਮੋਨੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਤੱਕ ਪੁੱਜ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ
9 And Ozie bildide touris in Jerusalem ouer the yate of the corner, and ouer the yate of the valey, and othere touris in the same side of the wal; and made tho stidefast.
੯ਅਤੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਦੀ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਅਤੇ ਦੀਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਮੋੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਾ ਕੀਤਾ
10 Also he bildide touris in the wildirnesse, and he diggide ful many cisternes; for he hadde many beestis as wel in the feeldi places as in the wastnesse of deseert. Also he hadde vyneris and tiliers of vynes in the hilles, and in Carmele; for he was a man youun to erthetilthe.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਤਲਾਬ ਪੁਟਵਾਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਬੇਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਡੰਗਰ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਜਾਊ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਲੀ ਸਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਖੇਤੀ ਵਾੜੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਸੰਦ ਸੀ।
11 Forsothe the oost of hise werriours, that yeden forth to batels, vndur the hond of Heiel, scribe, and of Masie, techere, and vndur the hond of Ananye that was of the duykis of the kyng;
੧੧ਨਾਲੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਫੌਜ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯੁੱਧ ਲਈ ਯਈਏਲ ਲਿਖਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਅਸੇਯਾਹ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਦੇ ਲੇਖੇ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਜੱਥੇਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਿੱਕਲਦੀ ਸੀ
12 and al the noumbre of princes, by her meynees, was of stronge men two thousynde and sixe hundrid.
੧੨ਸੂਰਬੀਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਦੋ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਛੇ ਸੌ ਸੀ
13 And vndur hem was al the oost, thre hundrid thousynde and seuen thousynde and fyue hundrid, that weren able to batel, and fouyten for the king ayens aduersaries.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਬਿਆਦਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਲੱਖ ਸਾਢੇ ਸੱਤ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ
14 And Ozie made redi to hem, that is, to al the oost, scheldis, and speris, and basynetis, and haburiouns, and bouwis, and slyngis to caste stonys.
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਢਾਲਾਂ, ਬਰਛੇ, ਟੋਪ ਸੰਜੋਆਂ ਤੇ ਧਣੁੱਖ ਤੇ ਗੋਪੀਏ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੇ
15 And he made in Jerusalem engynes of dyuerse kynde, which he settide in touris, and in the corneris of wallis, that tho schulden caste arowis and grete stoonys; and his name yede out fer, for the Lord helpide hym, and hadde maad him strong.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਸਬੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਕਲਾਂ ਲਗਵਾਈਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਗਾਹੁਣ ਲਈ ਬੁਰਜ਼ਾਂ ਤੇ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਲਗਾਈਆਂ ਜਾਣ। ਸੋ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੂਰ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਜਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਨਿਰਾਲੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
16 But whanne he was maad strong, his herte was reisid in to his perischyng; and he dispiside `his Lord God; and he entride in to the temple of the Lord, and wolde brenne encense on the auter of encense.
੧੬ਪਰ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਐਨਾ ਹੰਕਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਗੜ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਬੇਮੁੱਖ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਧੂਪ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣ ਲੱਗਾ
17 And anoon Azarie, the preest, entride after hym, and with hym the preestis of the Lord, seuenti `men ful noble;
੧੭ਤਦ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਜਾਜਕ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਸੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਨ
18 whiche ayenstoden the kyng, and seiden, Ozie, it is not of thin office, that thou brenne encense to the Lord, but of the preestis of the Lord, that is, of the sones of Aaron, that ben halewid to siche seruyce; go thou out of the seyntuarye; dispise thou not; for this thing schal not be arettid of the Lord God to thee in to glorie.
੧੮ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਟਾਕਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, ਹੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਭਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਬੇਈਮਾਨੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ
19 And Ozie was wrooth, and he helde in the hond the censere for to offre encence, and manaasside the preestis; and anoon lepre was sprungun forth in his forheed, bifor the preestis in the hows of the Lord on the auter of encense.
੧੯ਤਦ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਧੂਪਦਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਰਖ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਧੂਪ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਤੇ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਫੁੱਟ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ
20 And whanne Azarie, the bischop, hadde biholde hym, and alle othere preestis `hadden biholde him, thei sien lepre in his forheed, and hiyngli thei puttiden hym out; but also he was aferd, and hastide to go out; for he feelide anoon the veniaunce of the Lord.
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੱਥੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋੜ੍ਹ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਸੋ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਛੇਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੈ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ
21 Therfor kyng Ozie was leprouse `til to the dai of his deeth, and dwellide in an hows bi it silf, and he was ful of lepre; `for which he was cast out of the hows of the Lord. Forsothe Joathan, his sone, gouernyde the hows of the kyng, and demyde the puple of the lond.
੨੧ਸੋ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਰਨ ਤੱਕ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਣ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਇੱਕ ਅਲੱਗ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਛੇਕਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ
22 Sotheli Ysaie, the prophete, the sone of Amos, wroot the residue `of the formere and of the laste wordis of Ozie.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਆਦ ਤੋਂ ਅੰਤ ਤੱਕ ਆਮੋਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਲਿਖੇ
23 And Ozie slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden not hym in the feeld of the kyngis sepulcris, for he was leprouse; and Joathan, his sone, regnyde for hym.
੨੩ਸੋ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਬਰਿਸਤਾਨ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
