2 Chronicles 14
1 Forsothe Abia slepte with hise fadris, and thei birieden hym in the citee of Dauid; and Asa, his sone, regnede for hym. In whos daies the lond restide ten yeer.
੧ਤਦ ਅਬਿਯਾਹ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਸਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਤੱਕ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਮਨ ਰਿਹਾ।
2 And Asa dide that, that was good and plesaunt in the siyt of his God, and he destriede the auteris of straunge worschipyng, and `he destriede hiy places,
੨ਆਸਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਸੀ
3 and brak ymagis, and kittide doun woodis;
੩ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਥੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੰਨ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਟੁੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ
4 and he comaundide Juda to seke the Lord God of her fadris, and to do the lawe and alle comaundementis.
੪ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਭਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਕਮਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ
5 And he took awei fro alle the citees of Juda auteris and templis of idols, and he regnede in pees.
੫ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀਆਂ ਮੂਰਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੈਨ ਰਿਹਾ।
6 And he bildide stronge cytees in Juda; for he was in reste, and no batels risiden in his tymes, for the Lord yaf pees.
੬ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੜਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣਵਾਏ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੈਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਲੜਾਈ ਨਾ ਲੜਨੀ ਪਈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਾਮ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼ਿਆ ਸੀ
7 Forsothe he seide to Juda, Bilde we these cytees, and cumpasse we with wallis, and strengthe we with touris and yatis and lockis, as longe as alle thingis ben restful fro batel; for we han souyte the Lord God of oure fadris, and he hath youe to vs pees bi cumpas. Therfor thei bildiden, and no lettyng was in bildyng.
੭ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਬਣਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁਆਲੇ ਕੰਧਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਰਜ ਬਣਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਦੇ ਅਰਲ ਲਾਈਏ ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਇਹ ਦੇਸ ਸਾਡੇ ਕਬਜ਼ੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਿਆ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰਿਓਂ ਅਰਾਮ ਬਖਸ਼ਿਆ ਹੈ। ਸੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਲ ਹੋਏ।
8 Sotheli Asa hadde in his oost thre hundrid thousynde of men of Juda berynge scheldis and speris, sotheli of Beniamyn he hadde two hundrid thousynde and fourscoore thousynde of scheeld beeris and of archeris; alle these weren ful stronge men.
੮ਆਸਾ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਤਿੰਨ ਲੱਖ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਢਾਲ਼ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਛੀ ਚੁੱਕਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਲੱਖ ਅੱਸੀ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਢਾਲ਼ ਚੁੱਕਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਰ ਚਲਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਯੋਧੇ ਸਨ।
9 Forsothe Zara of Ethiop yede out ayens hem with his oost ten `sithis an hundrid thousynde, and with thre hundrid charis, and cam `til to Masera.
੯ਜ਼ਰਹ ਕੂਸ਼ੀ ਦਸ ਲੱਖ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਅਤੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੌ ਰਥ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰੇਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ
10 Certis Aza yede ayens hem, and araiede scheltrun to batel in the valei Sephata, which is bisidis Masera. And he inwardli clepide the Lord God,
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਲਈ ਵਧਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰੇਸ਼ਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਫਾਥਾਹ ਦੀ ਵਾਦੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੜਾਈ ਲਈ ਪਾਲਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ
11 and seide, Lord, no dyuersitee is anentis thee, whether thou helpe in fewe, ethir in manye; oure Lord God, helpe thou vs, for we han trist in thee and in thi name, and camen ayens this multitude; Lord, thou art oure God, a man haue not the maistrye ayens thee.
੧੧ਆਸਾ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਜ਼ੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਮਜ਼ੋਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਹੈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਏ ਹਾਂ। ਤੂੰ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ। ਮਨੁੱਖ ਤੇਰੇ ਟਾਕਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਜਿੱਤੇ!
12 Therfor the Lord made aferd Ethiopens bifor Asa and Juda, and Ethiopens fledden; and Asa and his puple,
੧੨ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਕੂਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕੂਸ਼ੀ ਭੱਜ ਗਏ।
13 that was with hym, pursuede hem `til to Gerare. And Ethiopens felden doun `til to deeth, for thei weren al to-brokun bi the Lord sleynge, and bi his oost fiytynge. Therfor thei token many spuylis,
੧੩ਆਸਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਰਾਰ ਤੱਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੂਸ਼ੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਐਨੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਗਏ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਫੇਰ ਸੰਭਲ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰਾ ਲੁੱਟ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆਇਆ
14 and smitiden alle the citees `bi the cumpas of Gerare; for greet drede hadde assailid alle men. And thei rifliden cytees, and baren a weye myche prey;
੧੪ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਰਾਰ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੁੱਟਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁੱਟਣ ਲਈ ਮਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸੀ
15 but also thei destrieden the fooldis of scheep, and token multitude without noumbre of scheep and of camels, and turneden ayen in to Jerusalem.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਸ਼ੂਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਾਲਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਢੇਰ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਊਠ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਪਏ।
