1 Samuel 7
1 Therfor men of Cariathiarym camen, and ledden ayen the arke of the Lord, and brouyten it in to the hows of Amynadab in Gabaa. Sotheli thei halewiden Eleazar his sone, that he schulde kepe the ark of the Lord.
Ug ang mga tawo sa Chiriath-jearim nangadto, ug gikuha ang arca ni Jehova, ug gidala kini ngadto sa balay ni Abinadab nga didto sa bungtod, ug gibalaan si Eleazar nga iyang anak nga lalake aron sa pagbantay sa arca ni Jehova.
2 And it was doon, fro which dai `the arke of the Lord dwellide in Caryathiarym, daies weren multiplied; for the twentithe yeer was now, after that Samuel bigan to teche the puple; and al Israel restide aftir the Lord.
Ug nahitabo, sukad sa adlaw nga ang arca diha sa Chiriath-jearim, nga ang panahon hataas; kay kaluhaan ka tuig: ug ang tibook nga balay sa Israel nanagbakho sunod kang Jehova.
3 Forsothe Samuel spak to al the hows of Israel, and seide, If in al youre herte ye turnen ayen to the Lord, do ye awei alien goddis, Balym and Astaroth, fro the myddis of you; and make ye redi youre hertis to the Lord, and serue ye hym aloone; and he schal delyuere you fro the hond of Filisteis.
Ug si Samuel namulong sa tibook nga balay sa Israel, nga nagaingon: Kong kamo managpamalik kang Jehova sa bug-os ninyong kasingkasing, nan isalikway ang inyong mga laing dios ug ang Astaroth gikan sa taliwala ninyo, ug ipatumong ang inyong kasingkasing ngadto kang Jehova, ug mag-alagad kaniya lamang: ug siya magaluwas ka ninyo gikan sa kamot sa mga Filistehanon.
4 Therfor the sones of Israel diden awey Baalym and Astoroth, and serueden the Lord aloone.
Unya ang mga anak sa Israel nanagsalikway sa mga Baal ug sa Astaroth, ug nanag-alagad kang Jehova lamang.
5 Forsothe Samuel seide, Gadere ye al Israel in to Masphat, that Y preie the Lord for you.
Ug si Samuel miingon: Tiguma ang tibook Israel didto sa Mizpa, ug ako magaampo alang kaninyo ngadto kang Jehova.
6 And thei camen togidere in to Masphat, and thei drowen watir, and shedden out in the `siyt of the Lord; and thei fastiden in that day, and seiden, Lord, we synneden to thee. And Samuel demyde the sones of Israel in Masphat.
Ug sila nanagtigum pagtingub didto sa Mizpa, ug nanagkalus sa tubig, ug gibubo kini sa atubangan ni Jehova, ug nanagpuasa niadtong adlawa, ug namulong didto: Kami nakasala batok kang Jehova. Ug si Samuel nagmaghuhukom sa mga anak sa Israel didto sa Mizpa.
7 And Filisteis herden that the sones of Israel weren gaderid in Masphat; and the princes of Filisteis stieden to Israel. And whanne the sones of Israel hadden herd this, thei dredden of the face of Filisteis.
Ug sa diha nga ang mga Filistehanon nakadungog nga ang mga anak sa Israel nanagtigum pagtingub didto sa Mizpa, ang mga kadagkuan sa mga Filistehanon nanungas batok sa Israel. Ug sa diha nga ang mga anak sa Israel nakadungog niini, sila nangahadlok sa mga Filistehanon.
8 And `thei seiden to Samuel, Ceesse thou not to crye for vs to oure Lord God, that he saue vs fro the `hoond of Filisteis.
Ug ang mga anak sa Israel ming-ingon kang Samuel: Ayaw paghunong sa pagtu-aw ngadto kang Jehova, nga atong Dios alang kanamo, aron siya magaluwas kanamo gikan sa kamot sa mga Filistehanon.
9 Forsothe Samuel took o soukynge lomb, and offride that hool in to brent sacrifice to the Lord. And Samuel criede to the Lord for Israel; and the Lord herde hym.
Ug si Samuel mikuha ug usa ka nagsuso pang nati sa carnero ug gihalad kana alang sa usa ka tibook nga halad-nga-sinunog kang Jehova: ug si Samuel mingtu-aw kang Jehova alang sa Israel; ug si Jehova mitubag kaniya.
10 Forsothe it was doon, whanne Samuel offryde brent sacrifice, that Filisteis bigunnen batel ayens Israel. Sotheli the Lord thundride with greet thundur in that dai on Filisteis, and made hem aferd; and thei weren slayn of the sones of Israel.
Ug sa diha nga si Samuel naghalad pa sa halad-nga-sinunog, ang mga Filistehanon nagpahaduol sa pagpakig-away batok sa Israel; apan si Jehova nagpadalogdog sa dakung dalogdog sa ibabaw sa mga Filistehanon niadtong adlawa, ug gidaug sila; ug nangamatay sila sa atubangan sa Israel.
11 And the sones of Israel yeden out of Masphat, and pursueden Filisteis, and smytiden hem `til to the place that was vndur Bethachar.
Ug ang mga tawo sa Israel nanggula gikan sa Mizpa, ug minglutos sa Filistehanon, ug nagpatay kanila hangtud sa paghiabut nila sa ilalum sa Beth-car.
12 Forsothe Samuel took o stoon, and puttide it bitwixe Masphat, and bitwixe Sen; and he clepide the name of that place The stoon of help. And he seide, Hidir to the Lord helpide vs.
Unya si Samuel mikuha ug usa ka bato, ug nagpahamutang niini taliwala sa Mizpa ug sa Sen, ug nagtawag sa ngalan niana nga Eben-ezer, nga nagaingon: Kutob dinhi si Jehova nagtabang kanato.
13 And Filisteis weren maad low, and addiden no more to come in to the termes of Israel. And so the `hond of the Lord was maad on Filisteis in alle the daies of Samuel.
Busa ang mga Filistehanon gidaug, ug wala na sila umanha sulod sa utlanan sa Israel: ug ang kamot ni Jehova batok sa mga Filistehanon sa tanang mga adlaw ni Samuel.
14 And the citees whiche the Filisteis token fro Israel, weren yoldun to Israel, fro Accaron `til to Geth and `hise termes; and the Lord delyuerede Israel fro the hond of Filisteis; and pees was bitwixe Israel and Ammorrey.
Ug ang mga ciudad nga naagaw sa mga Filistehanon gikan kang Israel, nahiuli sa Israel, sukad sa Ecron ngadto sa Gath; ug ang utlanan niini gibawi sa Israel gikan sa kamot sa mga Filistehanon. Ug may pakigdait sa taliwala sa Israel ug sa mga Amorehanon.
15 Also Samuel demyde Israel in alle the daies of his lijf, that is, `til to the ordeynyng `and confermyng of Saul;
Ug si Samuel nagmaghuhukom sa Israel sa tibook nga mga adlaw sa iyang kinabuhi.
16 and he yede bi `alle yeeris, and cumpasside Bethel, and Galgal, and Masphat, and he demyde Israel in the forseid places.
Ug siya magadtoan matag-tuig sa paglibut ngadto sa Beth-el, ug Gilgal, ug Mizpa; ug siya nagmaghuhukom sa Israel didto niadtong tanang mga dapit.
17 And he turnede ayen in to Ramatha, for his hows was there; and he demyde Israel there, and he bildide there also an auter to the Lord.
Ug ang iyang pagpauli ngadto sa Rama, kay didto ang iyang balay; ug didto nagmaghuhukom siya sa Israel: ug nagtukod siya didto ug usa ka halaran kang Jehova.
