1 Samuel 4
1 And it was doon in tho daies Filisteis camen to gidere in to batel; for Israel yede out ayens Filisteis in to batel, and settiden tentis bisidis the stoon of help. Forsothe Filisteis camen in to Aphet,
और समुएल की बात सब इस्राईलीयों के पास पहुँची, और इसराईली फ़िलिस्तियों से लड़ने को निकले और इबन-'अज़र के आस पास डेरे लगाए और फ़िलिस्तियों ने अफ़ीक़ में ख़ेमे खड़े किए।
2 and maden redi scheltrun ayens Israel. Sotheli whanne the batel was bigunnun, Israel turned backis to Filisteis; and as foure thousynde of men weren slayn in that batel `euery where bi feeldis;
और फ़िलिस्तियों ने इस्राईल के मुक़ाबिले के लिए सफ़ आराई की और जब वह इकठ्ठा लड़ने लगे तो इस्राईलियों ने फिलिस्तियों से शिकस्त खाई; और उन्होंने उनके लश्कर में से जो मैदान में था क़रीबन चार हज़ार आदमी क़त्ल किए।
3 and the puple of Israel turnede ayen to tentis. And the grettere men in birthe of Israel seiden, Whi hath the Lord smyte vs to dai bifore Filisteis? Brynge we to vs fro Silo the arke of boond of pees of the Lord, and come it in to the myddis of vs, that it saue vs fro the hond of oure enemyes.
और जब लोग लश्कर गाह में फिर आए तो इस्राईल के बुज़ुर्गों ने कहा, “कि आज ख़ुदावन्द ने हमको फ़िलिस्तियों के सामने क्यूँ शिकस्त दी आओ हम ख़ुदावन्द के 'अहद का संदूक़ शीलोह से अपने पास ले आयें ताकि वह हमारे बीच आकर हमको हमारे दुशमनों से बचाए।”
4 Therfor the puple sente in to Silo, and thei token fro thennus the arke of boond of pees of the Lord of oostis, `that sat on cherubyn. And Ophym and Fynees, twei sones of Heli, weren with the arke of boond of pees of the Lord.
तब उन्होंने शीलोह में लोग भेजे, और वह करुबियों के ऊपर बैठने वाले रब्ब — उल — अफ़्वाज के 'अहद के संदूक़ को वहाँ से ले आए और एली के दोनों बेटे हुफ़्नी और फ़ीन्हास ख़ुदा के 'अहद का संदूक़ के साथ वहाँ हाज़िर थे।
5 And whanne the arke of boond of pees of the Lord hadde come in to the castels, al Israel criede with grete cry, and the erthe sownede.
और जब ख़ुदावन्द के 'अहद का संदूक़ लश्कर गाह में आ पहुँचा तो सब इस्राईली ऐसे ज़ोर से ललकारने लगे, कि ज़मीन गूँज उठी।
6 And Filisteis herden the vois of cry, and seiden, What is this vois of greet cry in the castels of Ebrews? And thei knewen, that the arke of boond of pees of the Lord hadde come in to castels.
और फ़िलिस्तियों ने जो ललकारने की आवाज़ सुनी तो वह कहने लगे, कि इन “इब्रानियों की लश्कर गाह में इस बड़ी ललकार के शोर के क्या मा'ना हैं?” फिर उनको मा'लूम हुआ कि ख़ुदावन्द का संदूक़ लश्कर गाह में आया है।
7 And Filisteis dredden, and seiden, God is come in to `the castels; and thei weiliden, and seiden, Wo to vs!
तब फ़िलिस्ती डर गए क्यूँकि वह कहने लगे, कि ख़ुदा लश्कर गाह में आया है और उन्होंने कहा, “कि हम पर बर्बादी है इस लिए कि इस से पहले ऐसा कभी नहीं हुआ।
8 for so greet ful ioiyng was not yistirdai, and the thridde day passid; wo to vs! who schal kepe vs fro the hond of `these hiye goddis? these ben the goddis, that smytiden Egipt with al veniaunce in deseert.
हम पर बर्बादी है, ऐसे ज़बरदस्त मा'बूदों के हाथ से हमको क़ौन बचाएगा? यह वहीं मा'बूद हैं जिन्होंने मिस्रियों को वीराने में हर क़िस्म की बला से मारा।
9 Filisteis, be ye coumfortid, and be ye men, serue ye not Ebrews, as thei serueden vs; be ye coumfortid, and fiyte ye.
ऐ फ़िलिस्तियों तुम मज़बूत हो और मर्दानगी करो ताकि तुम 'इब्रानियों के ग़ुलाम न बनो जैसे वह तुम्हारे बने बल्कि मर्दानगी करो और लड़ो।”
10 Therfor Filisteis fouyten, and Israel was slayn, and ech man flei in to his tabernacle; and a ful greet veniaunce was maad, and thretti thousynde of foot men of Israel felden doun.
और फ़िलिस्ती लड़े और बनी इस्राईल ने शिकस्त खाई और हर एक अपने डेरे को भागा, और वहाँ बहुत बड़ी खूँरेज़ी हुई क्यूँकि तीस हज़ार इस्राईली पियादे वहाँ मारे गए।
11 And the arke of God was takun; and, twei sones of Heli, Ophym and Fynees, weren deed.
और ख़ुदावन्द का संदूक़ छिन गया, और 'एली के दोनों बेटे हुफ़्नी और फ़ीन्हास मारे गये।
12 Sotheli a man of Beniamyn ran fro the scheltrun, and cam in to Silo in that dai, with his cloth torent and his heed bispreynt with dust; and whanne he was comen,
और बिनयमीन का एक आदमी लश्कर में से दौड़ कर अपने कपड़े फाड़े और सर पर ख़ाक डाले हुए उसी दिन शीलोह में आ पहुँचा।
13 Heli sat `on an hiye seete, `and bihelde ayens the weie; for his herte was dredyng for the arke of the Lord. Sotheli aftir that thilke man entride, he telde to the citee, and al the citee yellide.
और जब वह पहुँचा तो एली रास्ते के किनारे कुर्सी पर बैठा इंतिज़ार कर रहा था क्यूँकि उसका दिल ख़ुदा के संदूक़ के लिए काँप रहा था और जब उस शख़्स ने शहर में आकर हाल सुनाया, तो सारा शहर चिल्ला उठा।
14 And Heli herde the soun of cry, and seide, What is this sown of this noise? And he hastide, and cam, and telde to Heli.
और एली ने चिल्लाने की आवाज़ सुनकर कहा, इस हुल्लड़ की आवाज़ के क्या मा'ने हैं “और उस आदमी ने जल्दी की और आकर एली को हाल सुनाया।
15 Forsothe Heli was of foure score yeer and eiytene, and hise iyen dasiwiden, and he myyte not se.
और एली अठानवे साल का था और उसकी आँखें रह गई थीं और उसे कुछ नहीं सूझता था।
16 And he seide to Heli, Y am that cam fro batel, and Y am that flei to dai fro the scheltrun. To whom Ely seide, My sone, what is doon?
तब उस शख़्स ने एली से कहा, मैं फ़ौज में से आता हूँ और मैं आज ही फ़ौज के बीच से भागा हूँ, उसने कहा, ऐ मेरे बेटे क्या हाल रहा?”
17 Forsothe he that telde answeride, and seide, Israel flei bifor Filisteis, and a greet fal is maad in the puple; ferthermore and thi twey sones, Ophym and Fynees, ben deed, and the arke of God is takun.
उस ख़बर लाने वाले ने जवाब दिया “इस्राईली फ़िलिस्तियों के आगे से भागे और लोगों में भी बड़ी खूँरेज़ी हुई और तेरे दोनों बेटे हुफ़्नी और फ़ीन्हास भी मर गये और ख़ुदा का संदूक़ छिन गया।”
18 And whanne he hadde nemyd the arke of God, Hely felde fro `the hiye seete bacward bisidis the dore, and `was deed; for the nollis weren brokun. For he was an eld man, and of greet age; and he demyde Israel bi fourti yeer.
जब उसने ख़ुदा के संदूक़ का ज़िक्र किया तो वह कुर्सी पर से पछाड़ खाकर फाटक के किनारे गिरा, और उसकी गर्दन टूट गई और वह मर गया क्यूँकि वह बुड्ढा और भारी आदमी था, वह चालीस बरस बनी इस्राईल का क़ाज़ी रहा।
19 Forsothe his douyter in lawe, `the wijf of Finees, was with childe, and niy the child bering; and whanne `the message was herd that the arke of God was takun, and that hir fadir in lawe was deed, and hir hosebonde, sche bowide hir silf, and childide; for sodeyn sorewis felden in to hir.
और उसकी बहू, फ़ीन्हास की बीवी हमल से थी, और उसके जनने का वक़्त नज़दीक था और जब उसने यह ख़बरें सुनीं कि ख़ुदा का संदूक़ छिन गया और उसका ससुर और शौहर मर गये तो वह झुक कर जनी क्यूँकि दर्द ऐ ज़िह उसके लग गया था।
20 Sotheli in that moment of hir deeth, wymmen that stoden aboute hir, seiden to hir, Drede thou not, for thou hast childid a sone. And sche answeride not to hem, for nether `sche perseyuede.
और उसने उसके मरते वक़्त उन 'औरतों ने जो उस के पास खड़ी थीं उसे कहा, “मत डर क्यूँकि तेरे बेटा हुआ है।” लेकिन उसने न जवाब दिया और न कुछ तवज्जुह की।
21 And sche clepide the child Ichaboth, and seide, The glorie of the Lord is translatid fro Israel, for the arke of God is takun; and for hir fadir in lawe and for hir hosebonde sche seide,
और उसने उस लड़के का नाम यकबोद रख्खा और कहने लगी, “कि हशमत इस्राईल से जाती रही।” इसलिए कि ख़ुदा का संदूक़ छिन गया था, और उसका ससुर और शौहर जाते रहे थे।
22 The glorie of God is translatid fro Israel, for the arke of God is takun.
इसलिए उसने कहा, “हशमत इस्राईल से जाती रही, क्यूँकि ख़ुदा का संदूक़ छिन गया है।”
