1 Forsothe Filisteis fouyten ayens Israel, and the men of Israel fledden bifor the face of Filisteis, and felden slayn in the hil of Gelboe.
and Philistine to fight in/on/with Israel and to flee human Israel from face: before Philistine and to fall: kill slain: killed in/on/with mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Gilboa
2 And Filisteis hurliden on Saul, and on hise sones, and smytiden Jonathas, and Amynadab, and Melchisua, sones of Saul.
and to cleave Philistine [obj] Saul and [obj] son: child his and to smite Philistine [obj] Jonathan and [obj] Abinadab and [obj] Malchi-shua Malchi-shua son: child Saul
3 And al the weiyte of batel was turned `in to Saul; and men archeris pursueden hym, and he was woundid greetli of the archeris.
and to honor: heavy [the] battle to(wards) Saul and to find him [the] to shoot human in/on/with bow and to twist: writh in pain much from [the] to shoot
4 And Saul seide to his squyer, Drawe out thi swerd, and sle me, lest perauenture these vncircumcidid men come, and sle me, and scorne me. And his squyer nolde, for he was aferd bi ful grete drede; therfor Saul took his swerd, and felde theronne.
and to say Saul to/for to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his to draw sword your and to pierce me in/on/with her lest to come (in): come [the] uncircumcised [the] these and to pierce me and to abuse in/on/with me and not be willing to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his for to fear much and to take: take Saul [obj] [the] sword and to fall: fall upon her
5 And whanne his squyer hadde seyn this, `that is, that Saul was deed, also he felde on his swerd and was deed with hym.
and to see: see to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his for to die Saul and to fall: fall also he/she/it upon sword his and to die with him
6 Therfor Saul was deed, and hise thre sones, and his squyer, and alle his men in that dai togidere.
and to die Saul and three son: child his and to lift: bearing(armour) article/utensil his also all human his in/on/with day [the] he/she/it together
7 Forsothe the sones of Israel, that weren biyendis the valei, and biyendis Jordan, sien that the men of Israel hadden fled, and that Saul was deed, and hise sones, and thei leften her citees and fledden; and Filisteis camen, and dwelliden there.
and to see: see human Israel which in/on/with side: beside [the] valley and which in/on/with side: beyond [the] Jordan for to flee human Israel and for to die Saul and son: child his and to leave: forsake [obj] [the] city and to flee and to come (in): come Philistine and to dwell in/on/with them
8 Forsothe in `the tother dai maad, Filisteis camen, that thei schulden dispuyle the slayn men, and thei founden Saul, and hise thre sones, liggynge in the hil of Gelboe; and thei kittiden awei the heed of Saul,
and to be from morrow and to come (in): come Philistine to/for to strip [obj] [the] slain: killed and to find [obj] Saul and [obj] three son: child his to fall: fall in/on/with mountain: mount [the] (Mount) Gilboa
9 and dispuyliden hym of armeris; and senten in to the lond of Filisteis bi cumpas, that it schulde be teld in the temple of idols, and in the puplis.
and to cut: eliminate [obj] head his and to strip [obj] article/utensil his and to send: depart in/on/with land: country/planet Philistine around: whole to/for to bear tidings house: home idol their and [obj] [the] people
10 And thei puttiden hise armeris in the temple of Astoroth; sotheli thei hangiden his bodi in the wal of Bethsan.
and to set: put [obj] article/utensil his house: temple Ashtaroth and [obj] body his to blow in/on/with wall Beth-shean Beth-shean
11 And whanne the dwellers of Jabes of Galaad hadden herd this, what euer thingis Filisteis hadden do to Saul,
and to hear: hear to(wards) him to dwell Jabesh (Jabesh)-gilead [obj] which to make: do Philistine to/for Saul
12 alle the strongeste men risiden, and yeden in al that nyyt, and token the deed bodi of Saul, and the deed bodies of hise sones fro the wal of Bethsan; and the men of Jabes of Galaad camen, and brenten tho deed bodies bi fier.
and to arise: rise all man strength and to go: went all [the] night and to take: take [obj] body Saul and [obj] body son: child his from wall Beth-shean Beth-shean and to come (in): come Jabesh (Gilead) [to] and to burn [obj] them there
13 And thei token the boonus of hem, and birieden in the wode of Jabes, and fastiden bi seuene daies.
and to take: take [obj] bone their and to bury underneath: under [the] tamarisk in/on/with Jabesh (Gilead) [to] and to fast seven day
