1 Samuel 3
1 Forsothe the child Samuel `mynystride to the Lord bifor Heli, and the word of the Lord was preciouse; in tho daies was noon opyn reuelacioun.
சிறுவனாகிய சாமுயேல் ஏலியின் மேற்பார்வையின்கீழ் யெகோவாவுக்குப் பணிசெய்தான். அந்நாட்களில் யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை அரிதாயிருந்தது; தரிசனங்களும் அரிதாகவேயிருந்தன.
2 Therfor it was doon in a dai, Heli lay in his bed, and hise iyen dasewiden, and he myyte not se the lanterne of God, bifor that it was quenchid.
பார்க்க முடியாதபடி கண்கள் மங்கிய நிலையிலிருந்த ஏலி, ஒரு இரவில் தான் வழக்கமாகப் படுக்கும் இடத்தில் படுத்திருந்தான்.
3 Forsothe Samuel slepte in the temple of the Lord, where the ark of God was.
இறைவனுடைய விளக்கு இன்னும் அணையாதிருக்கும்போதே, சாமுயேல் யெகோவாவினுடைய பெட்டி இருந்த இடமான இறைவனின் ஆலயத்தில் படுத்திருந்தான்.
4 And the Lord clepide Samuel; and he answeride and seide, Lo!
அவ்வேளையில் யெகோவா சாமுயேலைக் கூப்பிட்டார். அதற்கு சாமுயேல், “இதோ, நான் இங்கே இருக்கிறேன்” என்று சொல்லி,
5 Y. And he ran to Hely, and seide to hym, Lo! Y; for thou clepidist me. Which Hely seide, Y clepide not thee; turne thou ayen and slepe.
ஏலியிடம் ஓடிப்போய், “என்னைக் கூப்பிட்டீரே. இதோ இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான். அதற்கு ஏலி, “நான் உன்னைக் கூப்பிடவில்லை. நீ திரும்பிப்போய் படுத்துக்கொள்” என்றான். எனவே அவன் போய் படுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
6 And he yede and slepte. And the Lord addide eft to clepe Samuel; and Samuel roos, and yede to Hely, and seide, Lo! Y; for thou clepidist me. And Heli answeride, Y clepide not thee, my sone; turne thou ayen and slepe.
யெகோவா மறுபடியும், “சாமுயேல்” எனக் கூப்பிட்டார். சாமுயேல் எழுந்து ஏலியிடம் போய், “என்னைக் கூப்பிட்டீரே? இதோ இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான். அதற்கு ஏலி, “என் மகனே, நான் உன்னைக் கூப்பிடவில்லை. திரும்பிப் போய்ப் படுத்துக்கொள்” என்றான்.
7 Forsothe Samuel knew not yit the Lord, nether the `word of the Lord was shewid to hym.
சாமுயேல் இன்னும் யெகோவாவை அறியவில்லை. இதுவரை யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை அவனுக்கு இன்னும் வெளிப்படவில்லை.
8 And the Lord addide, and clepide yit Samuel the thridde tyme; `which Samuel roos and yede to Heli,
யெகோவா மூன்றாம் முறையும் சாமுயேலைக் கூப்பிட்டார்; அவன் எழுந்து மறுபடியும் ஏலியிடம் வந்து அவனிடம், “என்னைக் கூப்பிட்டீரே; இதோ இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான். அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவே சிறுவனைக் கூப்பிடுகிறார் என ஏலி அறிந்துகொண்டான்.
9 and seide, Lo! Y; for thou clepidist me. Therfor Heli vndirstood, that the Lord clepide the child; and Heli seide to Samuel, Go and slepe; and if he clepith thee aftirward, thou schalt seie, Speke thou, Lord, for thi seruaunt herith. Therfor Samuel yede and slepte in his place.
எனவே ஏலி சாமுயேலிடம், “நீ போய் படுத்துக்கொள். அவர் உன்னைக் கூப்பிட்டால், ‘யெகோவாவே பேசும், உமது அடியேன் கேட்டுக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்’ என்று சொல்” என்றான். அப்படியே சாமுயேல் போய் தன் இடத்தில் படுத்துக்கொண்டான்.
10 And the Lord cam, and stood, and clepide as he hadde clepid the secunde tyme, Samuel, Samuel. And Samuel seide, Speke thou, Lord, for thi seruaunt herith.
அப்பொழுது யெகோவா வந்து அங்கு நின்று, முன் கூப்பிட்டதுபோல், “சாமுயேல், சாமுயேல்” என்று கூப்பிட்டார். அதற்கு சாமுயேல், “பேசும்; அடியேன் கேட்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
11 And the Lord seide to Samuel, Lo! Y make a word in Israel, which word who euer schal here, bothe hise eeris schulen rynge.
யெகோவா சாமுயேலிடம்: “நான் இஸ்ரயேலில் ஒரு செயலைச் செய்யப்போகிறேன். அதைக் கேட்கும் ஒவ்வொருவருடைய செவிகளிலும் அது ஒலித்துக்கொண்டேயிருக்கும்.
12 In that dai Y schal reise ayens Heli alle thingis, whiche Y spak on his hows; Y schal bigynne, and Y schal ende.
அக்காலத்தில் ஏலியின் குடும்பத்திற்கு எதிராக நான் சொன்னவைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் தொடக்கமுதல் இறுதிவரை அவனுக்கு எதிராகச் செய்து முடிப்பேன்.
13 For Y biforseide to hym, that Y schulde deme his hows with outen ende for wickidnesse; for he knew, that hise sones diden vnworthili, and he chastiside not hem.
அவனறிந்த அவன் மகன்களின் பாவத்தின் காரணமாகவே, அவனுடைய குடும்பத்தை எப்பொழுதும் நான் நியாயந்தீர்பேன் என்று நான் அவனுக்குச் சொல்லியிருந்தும், அவனுடைய மகன்கள் தங்களை இறைவன் வெறுக்கத்தக்கவர்களாக்கிக் கொண்டபோதும், அவன் அவர்களை தடுக்கத் தவறிவிட்டான்.
14 Therfor Y swoor to the hows of Heli, that the wickidnesse of his hows schal not be clensid bi sacrifices and yiftis til in to with outen ende.
ஆகையால் ஏலி குடும்பத்தாரின் குற்றம், ‘பலியினாலோ அல்லது காணிக்கையினாலோ ஒருபோதும் நிவிர்த்தியாக்கப்பட முடியாது’ என்று ஏலியின் குடும்பத்துக்கு ஆணையிட்டிருக்கிறேன்” என்றார்.
15 Forsothe Samuel slepte til the morewtid, and he openyde the doris of the hows of the Lord; and Samuel dredde to schewe the reuelacioun to Heli.
அதன்பின் சாமுயேல் காலைவரை படுத்திருந்து விடிந்தபின் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் கதவுகளைத் திறந்தான். ஆனாலும் சாமுயேல் தான் கண்ட தரிசனத்தை ஏலிக்குச் சொல்லப் பயந்தான்.
16 Therfor Heli clepide Samuel, and seide, Samuel, my sone. And he answeride and seide, Y am redi.
ஆனால் ஏலி அவனைக் கூப்பிட்டு, “சாமுயேலே, என் மகனே” என்றான். அதற்கு சாமுயேல், “இங்கே இருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
17 And Heli axide hym, What is the word which the Lord spak to thee? Y preye thee, hide thou not fro me; God do to thee `these thingis, and encreesse these thingis, if thou hidist fro me a word of alle wordis that ben seid to thee.
அப்பொழுது ஏலி சாமுயேலிடம், “யெகோவா உனக்குச் சொன்னது என்ன? எனக்கு அதை நீ மறைக்கவேண்டாம். அவர் உனக்குச் சொன்னவற்றில் எதையாகிலும் எனக்கு மறைத்தாயானால் இறைவனே உன்னைக் கடுமையாகத் தண்டிப்பாராக” என்றான்.
18 And Samuel schewide to hym alle the wordis, and `hidde not fro hym. And Heli answeride, He is the Lord; do he that, that is good in hise iyen.
எனவே சாமுயேல் எதையும் அவனுக்கு மறைக்காமல் எல்லாவற்றையும் ஏலிக்குச் சொன்னான். அதற்கு ஏலி, “அவரே யெகோவா; அவர் தனக்கு நல்லதெனத் தோன்றுவதைச் செய்யட்டும்” என்றான்.
19 Forsothe Samuel encreeside, and the Lord was with hym, and noon of alle hise wordis felde in to erthe.
சாமுயேல் வளரும்போது யெகோவா அவனோடுகூட இருந்தார். யெகோவா சாமுயேல் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளில் ஒன்றையாகிலும் நிறைவேற்றாமல் விடவில்லை.
20 And al Israel fro Dan to Bersabee knew, that feithful Samuel was a profete of the Lord.
சாமுயேல் யெகோவாவினுடைய இறைவாக்கினன் என உறுதிப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறான் என்பதை, தாணிலிருந்து பெயெர்செபா வரையுள்ள எல்லா இஸ்ரயேலரும் அறிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.
21 And the Lord addide `that he schulde appere in Silo, for the Lord was schewid to Samuel in Silo bi the `word of the Lord; and the word of Samuel cam to al Israel.
தொடர்ந்து யெகோவா சீலோவிலே தோன்றி அவர் தமது வார்த்தைகளின் மூலம் சாமுயேலுக்குத் தன்னை வெளிப்படுத்தினார்.
