1 Samuel 16
1 And the Lord seide to Samuel, Hou long biweilist thou Saul, sithen Y castide hym awey, that he regne not on Israel; fille thin horn with oile, and come, that Y sende thee to Ysay of Bethleem; for among hise sones Y haue purueide a king to me.
१मग परमेश्वराने शमुवेलाला सांगितले की, “मी इस्राएलावर राज्य करण्यापासून शौलाला नाकारले आहे, तर तू किती काळ त्यासाठी शोक करशील? आपल्या शिंगात तेल भरून चल. इशाय बेथलहेमी याच्याकडे मी तुला पाठवितो. कारण मी त्याच्या एका मूलाला माझ्यासाठी राजा म्हणून निवडले आहे.”
2 And Samuel seide, Hou schal Y go? for Saul schal here, and he schal sle me. And the Lord seide, Thou schalt take a calf of the droue in thi hond, and thou schalt seye, Y cam to make sacrifice to the Lord.
२तेव्हा शमुवेल म्हणाला, “मी कसा जाऊ? जर शौल ऐकेल तर तो मला जीवे मारील.” मग परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “एक कालवड आपल्याबरोबर घे आणि मी देवाकडे यज्ञ करण्यास आलो आहे असे म्हण.
3 And thou schalt clepe Ysay to the sacrifice, and Y schal schewe to thee, what thou schalt do; and thou schalt anoynte, whom euere Y schal schewe to thee.
३त्या यज्ञास इशायला बोलाव. नंतर काय करायचे ते मी तुला कळवीन, आणि जो मी तुला सांगेन त्यास माझ्यासाठी अभिषेक कर.”
4 Therfor Samuel dide, as the Lord spak to hym; and he cam in to Bethleem, and the eldere men of the citee wondriden, and camen to hym, and seiden, Whether thin entryng is pesible?
४तेव्हा परमेश्वराने जे सांगितले ते शमुवेलाने केले आणि मग बेथलेहेमास गेला. नगराचे वडीलजन भीत भीत त्यास भेटायास आले व त्यांनी त्यास विचारले, “तुम्ही शांतीनेच आला आहात ना?”
5 And he seide, It is pesible; Y cam to make sacrifice to the Lord; be ye halewid, and come ye with me, that Y make sacrifice. Therfor he halewide Ysai, and hise sones, and clepide hem to the sacrifice.
५त्याने म्हटले, “शांतीने; मी परमेश्वरास यज्ञ अर्पण करायास आलो आहे. मजबरोबर यज्ञास येण्यासाठी तुम्ही शुद्ध व्हा.” त्याने इशाय व त्याचे पुत्र यांना शुद्ध केल्यावर त्यांना यज्ञास बोलाविले.
6 And whanne thei hadden entrid, he siy Eliab, and seide, Whether bifor the Lord is his crist?
६ते आले तेव्हा असे झाले कि, त्याने अलियाबास पाहून स्वतःला म्हटले, “परमेश्वराचा अभिषिक्त निःसंशय हाच आहे.”
7 And the Lord seide to Samuel, Biholde thou not his cheer, nethir hiynesse of his stature; for Y castide hym awei, and Y demyde not bi `the siyt of man; for a man seeth tho thingis that ben opyn, but the Lord biholdith the herte.
७परंतु परमेश्वराने शमुवेलाला म्हटले, “की त्याच्या स्वरूपाकडे व त्याच्या देहाच्या उंचीकडे पाहू नको कारण मी त्यास नाकारीले आहे. जसे मनुष्य पाहतो तसे परमेश्वर पाहत नाही. कारण की, मनुष्य बाहेरील स्वरूप पाहतो परंतु परमेश्वर हृदय पाहतो.”
8 And Ysai clepide Amynadab, and brouyte hym bifor Samuel; which seide, Nether the Lord hath chose this.
८मग इशायाने अबीनादाबाला बोलाविले आणि त्यास शमुवेलापुढे चालविले. परंतु शामुवेलाने म्हटले, “यालाही परमेश्वराने निवडले नाही.”
9 Forsothe Isay brouyte Samma; of whom Samuel seide, Also the Lord hath not chose this.
९मग इशायने शम्मास पुढे चालविले. परंतु शमुवेलाने म्हटले. “ह्यालाही परमेश्वराने निवडले नाही.”
10 Therfor Isai brouyte hise seuene sones bifor Samuel; and Samuel seide to Ysai, The Lord hath `not chose of these.
१०असे इशायाने आपल्या सात पुत्रांना शमुवेलापुढे चालविले. “परंतु शमुवेलाने इशायला म्हटले, यांपैकी कोणालाच परमेश्वराने निवडले नाही.”
11 And Samuel seide to Isai, Whether thi sones ben now fillid? And Isai answeride, Yit `another is, a litil child, and lisewith scheep. And Samuel seide to Isai, Sende thou, and brynge hym; for we schulen not sitte to mete, bifor that he come hidur.
११तेव्हा शमुवेलाने इशायला म्हटले, “तुझे सर्व पुत्र आले आहेत का?” मग तो म्हणाला, “आणखी एक धाकटा आहे, तो राहिला आहे. तो मेंढरे राखीत आहे.” तेव्हा शमुवेलाने त्यास म्हटले. “त्याला येथे बोलावून आण त्याच्या येण्यापूर्वी आम्ही जेवायला बसणार नाही.”
12 Therfor Ysai sente, and brouyte hym; sotheli he was rodi, and fair in siyt, and of semely face. And the Lord seide, Rise thou, and anoynte hym; for it is he.
१२मग त्याने त्यास बोलावून आणले तो तांबूस रंगाचा आणि सुंदर डोळ्यांचा होता आणि त्याचे रुप मनोहर होते. तेव्हा परमेश्वराने त्यास म्हटले, “उठून ह्याला अभिषेक कर; कारण हाच तो आहे.”
13 Therfor Samuel took the horn of oyle, and anoyntid hym in the myddis of his britheren; and the Spirit of the Lord was dressid in to Dauid fro that day `and afterward. And Samuel roos, and yede in to Ramatha.
१३मग शमूवेलाने तेलाचे शींग घेऊन त्याच्या भावांच्यामध्ये त्यास अभिषेक केला. त्या दिवसापासून परमेश्वराचा आत्मा दावीदावर येऊन राहिला. त्यानंतर शमुवेल उठून रामा येथे गेला.
14 And so the Spirit of the Lord yede awei fro Saul, and a wickid spirit of the Lord trauelide Saul.
१४मग परमेश्वराच्या आत्म्याने शौलास सोडले आणि देवापासून एक दुष्ट आत्मा त्यास त्रास करू लागला.
15 And the seruauntis of Saul seiden to hym, Lo! an yuel spirit of the Lord traueilith thee;
१५तेव्हा शौलाचे चाकर त्यास म्हणाले, “आता पाहा देवाकडून एक दुष्ट आत्मा तुम्हास त्रास देतो आहे.
16 oure lord the kyng comaunde, and thi seruauntis that ben bifore thee, schulen seke a man, that kan synge with an harpe, that whanne the yuel spirit of the Lord takith thee, he harpe with his hond, and thou bere esiliere.
१६आपण विणा वाजविणारा निपुण असा एक पुरुष शोधू. तशी आज्ञा आमच्या धन्याने आपल्यासमोर जे चाकर आहेत त्यास द्यावी. मग जेव्हा देवाकडून दुरात्मा तुम्हास त्रास देऊ लागेल, तेव्हा तो आपल्या हाताने ती वाजवील आणि तुम्हास बरे वाटेल.”
17 And Saul seide to hise seruauntis, Puruey ye to me sum man syngynge wel, and brynge ye hym to me.
१७मग शौलाने आपल्या चाकरास म्हटले, “जा, चांगला वाजविणारा पुरुष शोधून माझ्याकडे आणा.”
18 And oon of the children answeride and seide, Lo! Y siy the sone of Ysai of Bethleem, kunnynge to synge, and `strongeste in myyt, and `a man able to batel, and prudent in wordis, and a feir man; and the Lord is with hym.
१८मग चाकरातून एका तरूणाने उत्तर दिले की, पाहा वाजविण्यात निपुण, पराक्रमी, लढाऊ पुरुष व उत्तम वक्ता व मनोहर रूपाचा व ज्याला परमेश्वर अनुकूल आहे असा पुरुष मी पहिला आहे, तो इशाय बेथलहेमी ह्याचा पुत्र आहे.
19 Therfor Saul sente messangeris to Ysay, and seide, Sende thou to me Dauid thi sone, `which is in the lesewis.
१९मग शौलाने इशायजवळ दूत पाठवून म्हटले की, “तुझा पुत्र दावीद जो मेंढरे राखीत असतो, त्यास मजपाशी पाठवावे.”
20 Therfor Isai took an asse `ful of looues, and a galoun of wyn, and a `kyde of geet; and sente bi the hond of Dauid his sone to Saul.
२०तेव्हा इशायने भाकरीने लादलेले एक गाढव व द्राक्षरसाचा बुधला व एक करडू घेऊन आपला पुत्र दावीद याच्या हाताने शौलाकडे पाठवले.
21 And Dauid cam to Saul, and stood bifor hym; and Saul louyde hym greetli, and he was maad `his squyer.
२१दावीद शौलाजवळ येऊन त्यासमोर उभा राहिला, तेव्हा त्याची त्याच्यावर फार प्रीती बसली आणि तो त्याचा शस्त्र वाहक झाला.
22 And Saul sente to Isay, and seide, Dauid stonde in my siyt, for he foond grace in myn iyen.
२२मग शौलाने इशायजवळ निरोप पाठवून सांगितले मी तुला विनंती करतो की, आता दावीदाला माझ्या जवळ राहू दे; कारण त्याच्यावर माझी कृपाद्दष्टी झाली आहे.
23 Therfor whanne euer the wickid spirit of the Lord took Saul, Dauid took the harpe, and smoot with his hond, and Saul was coumfortid, and he hadde liytere; for the wickid spirit yede awey fro hym.
२३मग जेव्हा केव्हा देवापासून दुष्ट आत्मा शौलावर येत असे, “तेव्हा दावीदाने विणा घेऊन आपल्या हाताने वाजवी. मग शौल शांत होऊन बरा होई, व तो दुष्ट आत्म्या त्यास सोडून जाई.”
