1 Peter 5
1 Therfor Y, an euene eldre man, and a witnesse of Cristis passiouns, which also am a comynere of that glorie, that schal be schewid in tyme to comynge; byseche ye the eldre men,
| وَهَذِهِ وَصِيَّتِي إِلَى الشُّيُوخِ الَّذِينَ بَيْنَكُمْ، بِصِفَتِي شَيْخاً رَفِيقاً لَهُمْ، وَشَاهِداً لِآلامِ الْمَسِيحِ، وَشَرِيكاً فِي الْمَجْدِ الَّذِي سَيَتَجَلَّى: | ١ |
2 that ben among you, fede ye the flok of God, that is among you, and puruey ye, not as constreyned, but wilfulli, bi God; not for loue of foule wynnyng,
| ارْعَوْا قَطِيعَ اللهِ الَّذِي بَيْنَكُمْ، كَحُرَّاسٍ لَهُ، لَا بِدَافِعِ الْوَاجِبِ، بَلْ بِدَافِعِ التَّطَوُّعِ، كَمَا يُرِيدُ اللهُ، وَلا رَغْبَةً فِي الرِّبْحِ الدَّنِيءِ، بَلْ رَغْبَةً فِي الْخِدْمَةِ بِنَشَاطٍ. | ٢ |
3 but wilfulli, nether as hauynge lordschip in the clergie, but that ye ben maad ensaumple of the floc, of wille.
| لَا تَتَسَلَّطُوا عَلَى الْقَطِيعِ الَّذِي وَضَعَهُ اللهُ أَمَانَةً بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ، بَلْ كُونُوا قُدْوَةً لَهُ. | ٣ |
4 And whanne the prince of scheepherdis schal appere, ye schulen resseyue the coroun of glorie, that may neuere fade.
| وَعِنْدَمَا يَظْهَرُ رَئِيسُ الرُّعَاةِ، تَنَالُونَ إِكْلِيلَ الْمَجْدِ الَّذِي لَا يَفْنَى. | ٤ |
5 Also, ye yonge men, be ye suget to eldre men, and alle schewe ye togidere mekenesse; for the Lord withstondith proude men, but he yyueth grace to meke men.
| كَذَلِكَ، أَيُّهَا الشَّبَابُ، اخْضَعُوا لِلشُّيُوخِ. الْبَسُوا جَمِيعاً ثَوْبَ التَّوَاضُعِ فِي مُعَامَلَتِكُمْ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ. لأَنَّ اللهَ يُقَاوِمُ الْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ، وَلَكِنَّهُ يُعْطِي الْمُتَوَاضِعِينَ نِعْمَةً. | ٥ |
6 Therfor be ye mekid vndir the myyti hoond of God, that he reise you in the tyme of visitacioun,
| إِذَنْ، تَوَاضَعُوا تَحْتَ يَدِ اللهِ القَدِيرَةِ لِكَيْ يَرْفَعَكُمْ عِنْدَمَا يَحِينُ الْوَقْتُ، | ٦ |
7 and caste ye al youre bisynesse in to hym, for to hym is cure of you.
| وَاطْرَحُوا عَلَيْهِ ثِقْلَ هُمُومِكُمْ كُلِّهَا، لأَنَّهُ هُوَ يَعْتَنِي بِكُمْ. | ٧ |
8 Be ye sobre, and wake ye, for youre aduersarie, the deuel, as a rorynge lioun goith aboute, sechinge whom he schal deuoure.
| تَعَقَّلُوا وَتَنَبَّهُوا. إِنَّ خَصْمَكُمْ إِبْلِيسَ كَأَسَدٍ يَزْأَرُ، يَجُولُ بَاحِثاً عَنْ فَرِيسَةٍ يَبْتَلِعُهَا. | ٨ |
9 Whom ayenstonde ye, stronge in the feith, witynge that the same passioun is maad to thilke brithirhode of you, that is in the world.
| فَقَاوِمُوهُ، ثَابِتِينَ فِي الإِيمَانِ. وَاذْكُرُوا أَنَّ إِخْوَتَكُمُ الْمُنْتَشِرِينَ فِي الْعَالَمِ يَجْتَازُونَ وَسَطَ هذِهِ الآلامِ عَيْنِهَا. | ٩ |
10 And God of al grace, that clepide you in to his euerlastinge glorie, you suffrynge a litil, he schal performe, and schal conferme, and schal make sad. (aiōnios g166)
| وَبَعْدَ أَنْ تَتَأَلَّمُوا لِفَتْرَةٍ قَصِيرَةٍ، فَإِنَّ اللهَ، إِلَهَ كُلِّ نِعْمَةٍ، الَّذِي دَعَاكُمْ إِلَى الاشْتِرَاكِ فِي مَجْدِهِ الأَبَدِيِّ فِي الْمَسِيحِ، لابُدَّ أَنْ يَجْعَلَكُمْ كَامِلِينَ وَثَابِتِينَ وَمُؤَيَّدِينَ بِالْقُوَّةِ وَرَاسِخِينَ. (aiōnios g166) | ١٠ |
| لَهُ الْمَجْدُ وَالسُّلْطَةُ إِلَى أَبَدِ الآبِدِينَ. آمِين! (aiōn g165) | ١١ |
12 Bi Siluan, feithful brother to you as Y deme, Y wroot schortli; bisechinge, and witnessinge that this is the very grace of God, in which ye stonden.
| إِنِّي مُرْسِلٌ إِلَيْكُمْ هَذِهِ الرِّسَالَةَ الْقَصِيرَةَ بِيَدِ سِلْوَانُسَ الأَخِ الأَمِينِ. وَغَايَتِي أَنْ أُحَرِّضَكُمْ وَأَشْهَدَ لَكُمْ أَنَّ النِّعْمَةَ الَّتِي تَتَمَتَّعُونَ بِها هِيَ نِعْمَةُ اللهِ الْحَقِيقِيَّةُ الَّتِي أَنْتُمْ فِيهَا ثَابِتُونَ. | ١٢ |
13 The chirche that is gaderid in Babiloyne, and Marcus, my sone, gretith you wel.
| وَمِنْ بَابِلَ، تُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْكُمْ تِلْكَ الَّتِي اخْتَارَهَا اللهُ مَعَكُمْ، وَكَذلِكَ مَرْقُسُ ابْنِي. | ١٣ |
14 Grete ye wel togidere in hooli cos. Grace be to you alle that ben in Crist. Amen.
| سَلِّمُوا بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ بِقُبْلَةِ الْمَحَبَّةِ. وَلْيَكُنِ السَّلامُ لَكُمْ جَمِيعاً، أَنْتُمُ الَّذِينَ فِي الْمَسِيحِ. | ١٤ |
