1 Peter 1
1 Petre, apostle of Jhesu Crist, to the chosun men, to the comelingis of scateryng abrood, of Ponte, of Galathie, of Capadosie,
Pedro, apostolo de Jesus Christo, aos estrangeiros dispersos no Ponto, Galacia, Cappadocia, Asia e Bithynia;
2 of Asye, and of Bitynye, bi the `bifor knowyng of God, the fadir, in halewyng of spirit, bi obedience, and springyng of the blood of Jhesu Crist, grace and pees be multiplied to you.
Eleitos segundo a presciencia de Deus Pae, em sanctificação do Espirito, para a obediencia e aspersão do sangue de Jesus Christo: graça e paz vos seja multiplicada.
3 Blessid be God, and the fadir of oure Lord Jhesu Crist, which bi his greet merci bigat vs ayen in to lyuynge hope, bi the ayen risyng of Jhesu Crist fro deth,
Bemdito seja o Deus e Pae de nosso Senhor Jesus Christo, que, segundo a sua grande misericordia, nos gerou de novo para uma viva esperança, pela resurreição de Jesus Christo d'entre os mortos,
4 in to eritage vncorruptible, and vndefoulid, and that schal not fade, that is kept in heuenes for you,
Para herança incorruptivel, incontaminavel, e que se não pode murchar, guardada nos céus para vós,
5 that in the vertu of God ben kept bi the feith in to heelthe, and is redi to be schewid in the last tyme.
Que pela fé estaes guardados na virtude de Deus para a salvação, já prestes para se revelar no ultimo tempo.
6 In which ye schulen make ioye, thouy it bihoueth now a litil to be sori in dyuerse temptaciouns;
Em que vós vos alegraes, estando agora (se é que assim importa) por um pouco contristados com varias tentações.
7 that the preuyng of youre feith be myche more preciouse than gold, that is preuyd bi fier; and be foundun in to heriyng, and glorie, and onour, in the reuelacioun of Jhesu Crist.
Para que a prova da vossa fé, muito mais preciosa do que o oiro que perece e é provado pelo fogo, se ache em louvor, e honra, e gloria, na revelação de Jesus Christo:
8 Whom whanne ye han not seyn, ye louen; in to whom also now ye not seynge, bileuen; but ye that bileuen schulen haue ioye, and gladnesse that may not be teld out,
Ao qual, não havendo visto, o amaes; no qual, não o vendo agora, porém crendo, vos alegraes com gozo ineffavel e glorioso;
9 and ye schulen be glorified, and haue the ende of youre feith, the helthe of youre soulis.
Alcançando o fim da vossa fé, a salvação das almas.
10 Of which helthe profetis souyten, and enserchiden, that profecieden of the grace to comyng in you,
Da qual salvação inquiriram e examinaram os prophetas que prophetizaram da graça que vos foi dada:
11 and souyten which euer what maner tyme the spirit of Crist signyfiede in hem, and bifor telde tho passiouns, that ben in Crist, and the latere glories.
Indagando que tempo ou que maneira de tempo, o Espirito de Christo, que estava n'elles, indicava, anteriormente testificando os soffrimentos que a Christo haviam de vir, e a gloria que se lhes havia de seguir.
12 To which it was schewid, for not to hem silf, but to you thei mynystriden tho thingis, that now ben teld to you bi hem that prechiden to you bi the Hooli Goost sent fro heuene, in to whom aungelis desiren to biholde.
Aos quaes foi revelado que, não para si mesmos, mas para nós, ministravam estas coisas que agora vos foram annunciadas por aquelles que, pelo Espirito Sancto enviado do céu, vos prégaram o evangelho: para as quaes coisas os anjos desejam bem attentar.
13 For which thing be ye gird the leendis of youre soule, sobre, perfit, and hope ye in to the ilke grace that is profrid to you bi the schewyng of Jhesu Crist,
Portanto, cingindo os lombos do vosso entendimento, e sobrios, esperae inteiramente na graça que se vos offereceu na revelação de Jesus Christo;
14 as sones of obedience, not made lijk to the formere desiris of youre vnkunnyngnesse,
Como filhos obedientes, não vos conformando com as concupiscencias que d'antes havia em vossa ignorancia;
15 but lijk him that hath `clepid you hooli; that also `ye silf be hooli in `al lyuyng;
Mas, como é sancto aquelle que vos chamou, sêde vós tambem sanctos em toda a vossa maneira de viver;
16 for it is writun, Ye schulen be hooli, for Y am hooli.
Porquanto escripto está: Sêde sanctos, porque eu sou sancto.
17 And if ye inwardli clepe him fadir, which demeth withouten accepcioun of persoones bi the werk of ech man, lyue ye in drede in the time of youre pilgrimage; witynge that not bi corruptible gold,
E, se invocaes por Pae aquelle que, sem accepção de pessoas, julga segundo a obra de cada um, andae em temor, durante o tempo da vossa peregrinação:
18 ethir siluer, ye ben bouyt ayen of youre veyn liuynge of fadris tradicioun,
Sabendo que não com coisas corruptiveis, como prata ou oiro, fostes resgatados da vossa vã maneira de viver que por tradição recebestes dos paes,
19 but bi the precious blood as of the lomb vndefoulid and vnspottid,
Mas com o precioso sangue de Christo, como de um cordeiro immaculado e incontaminado,
20 Crist Jhesu, that was knowun bifor the makyng of the world, but he is schewid in the laste tymes,
O qual, na verdade, já d'antes foi conhecido ainda antes da fundação do mundo, porém manifestado n'estes ultimos tempos por amor de vós
21 for you that bi hym ben feithful in God; that reiside hym fro deth, and yaf to hym euerlastynge glorie, that youre feith and hope were in God.
Que por elle crêdes em Deus, o qual o resuscitou dos mortos, e lhe deu gloria, para que a vossa fé e esperança estivessem em Deus;
22 And make ye chast youre soulis in obedience of charite, in loue of britherhod; of simple herte loue ye togidre more bisili.
Purificando as vossas almas na obediencia da verdade, pelo Espirito, para caridade fraternal, não fingida; amae-vos ardentemente uns aos outros com um coração puro;
23 And be ye borun ayen, not of corruptible seed, `but vncorruptible, bi the word of lyuynge God, and dwellynge in to with outen ende. (aiōn g165)
Sendo de novo gerados, não de semente corruptivel, mas da incorruptivel, pela palavra de Deus, viva, e que permanece para sempre. (aiōn g165)
24 For ech fleisch is hey, and al the glorie of it is as flour of hey; the hei driede vp, and his flour felde doun;
Porque toda a carne é como herva, e toda a gloria do homem como a flôr da herva. Seccou-se a herva, e caiu a sua flôr:
