1 Kings 4
1 `Forsothe kyng Salomon was regnynge on al Israel.
Así que el rey Salomón fue rey sobre todo Israel.
2 And these weren the princes which he hadde; Azarie, sone of Sadoch, preest;
Y estos fueron los príncipes que tuvo: Azarías hijo de Sadoc sacerdote:
3 Helioreb, and Haia, sones of Sila, `weren scryueyns; Josophat, sone of Achilud, was chaunseler;
Elioref, y Ahías, hijos de Sisa, escribas: Josafat, hijo de Ahilud, canciller:
4 Banaie, sone of Joiada, was on the oost; forsothe Sadoch and Abiathar weren preestis;
Banaías, hijo de Joiada, era sobre el ejército: y Sadoc y Abiatar eran los sacerdotes:
5 Azarie, sone of Nathan, was on hem that stoden niy the kyng; Zabul, the sone of Nathan, was preest, `that is, greet and worschipful, a freend of the kyng;
Azarías, hijo de Natán, era sobre los gobernadores: Zabud, hijo de Natán, el príncipe, compañero del rey:
6 and Ahiasar was stiward of the hows; and Adonyram, sone of Adda, was on the tributis.
Y Ahisar era mayordomo: y Adoniram, hijo de Abda, era sobre el tributo.
7 Forsothe Salomon hadde twelue `prefectis, ether cheef minystrys, on al Israel, that yauen lijflode to the kyng, and to his hows; sotheli bi ech monethe bi it silf in the yeer, ech prefect bi hym silf mynystride necessaries.
Y tenía Salomón doce gobernadores sobre todo Israel, los cuales mantenían al rey, y a su casa. Cada uno de ellos era obligado de mantener un mes en cada un año.
8 And these ben the names of hem; Benhur, in the hil of Effraym;
Y estos son los nombres de ellos: El hijo de Jur, en el monte de Efraím:
9 Bendechar, in Macces, and in Salebbym, and in Bethsames, and in Helon, and in Bethanan;
El hijo de Decar, en Macces, y en Salebim, y en Bet-sames, y en Elón, y en Bet-hanán:
10 Beneseth, in Araboth; forsothe Socco, and al the lond of Epher was his;
El hijo de Hesed, en Arubot: este tenía también a Soco, y toda la tierra de Efer:
11 Benabidanab, whos was al Neptad, hadde Dortaphaed, `Solomons douyter, to wijf.
El hijo de Abinadab tenía todos los términos de Dor: este tenía por mujer a Tafat hija de Salomón:
12 Bena, sone of Achilud, gouernyde Thaneth, and Mageddo, and al Bethsan, which is bisidis Sarthana, vndur Jezrael, fro Bethsan `til to Abelmeula, euene ayens Zelmaan.
Bana, hijo de Ahilud, tenía a Tanac y a Mageddo, y a toda Bet-sán, que es cerca de Zartán, abajo de Jezrael: de Bet-sán hasta Abel-mejula, y hasta de la otra parte de Jecmaén:
13 Bengaber in Ramoth of Galaad hadde Anothiair, of the sone of Manasses, in Galaad; he was souereyn in al the cuntrey of Argob, which is in Basan, to sixti greet citees and wallid, that hadden brasun lockis.
El hijo de Gaber en Ramot de Galaad: este tenía también las ciudades de Jair, hijo de Manasés, las cuales estaban en Galaad. Tenía también la provincia de Argob, que era en Basán, sesenta grandes ciudades cercadas de muro, y de cerraduras de metal:
14 Achymadab, sone of Addo, was souereyn in Manaym;
Abinadab, hijo de Addo, era en Mahanaim:
15 Achymaas was in Neptalym, but also he hadde Bachsemath, douyter of Salomon, in wedloc;
Aquimaas, en Neftalí: este tomó también por mujer a Basemat hija de Salomón:
16 Banaa, sone of Husy, was in Aser, and in Balod;
Baana, hijo de Husi, en Aser, y en Balot:
17 Josephat, sone of Pharue, was in Ysachar; Semey, sone of Hela, was in Beniamyn;
Josafat, hijo de Farue, en Isacar:
18 Gaber,
Semeí, hijo de Ela, en Ben-jamín:
19 sone of Sury, was in the lond of Galaad, and in the lond of Seon, kyng of Amorrey, and of Og, kyng of Basan, on alle thingis, that weren in that lond.
Gaber, hijo de Uri, en la tierra de Galaad, y en la tierra de Sejón rey de los Amorreos, y de Og rey de Basán: un gobernador en la tierra.
20 Juda and Israel weren vnnoumbrable, as the soond of the see in multitude, etynge, and drynkynge, and beynge glad.
Los de Judá y de Israel eran muchos, como la arena que está junto a la mar en multitud, comiendo y bebiendo y alegrándose.
21 Forsothe Solomon was in his lordschip, and hadde alle rewmes, as fro the flood of the lond of Filisteis `til to the laste part of Egipt, of men offrynge yiftis to hym, and seruynge to hym, in alle the daies of his lijf.
Y Salomón señoreaba sobre todos los reinos desde el río de la tierra de los Filisteos, hasta el término de Egipto: y traían presentes, y servían a Salomón todos los días que vivió.
22 Forsothe the mete of Salomon was bi ech day, thritti chorus of clene flour of whete, and sixti chorus of mele,
Y la despensa de Salomón era cada día treinta coros de flor de harina, y sesenta coros de harina,
23 ten fatte oxis, and twenti oxis of lesewe, and an hundrid wetheris, outakun huntyng of hertys, of geet, and of buglis, and of briddis maad fat.
Diez bueyes engordados, y veinte bueyes de pasto, y cien ovejas: sin los ciervos, cabras, búfalos, y aves engordadas.
24 For he helde al the cuntrei that was biyende the flood, as fro Caphsa `til to Gasa, and alle the kyngis of tho cuntreis; and he hadde pees bi ech part in cumpas.
Porque él señoreaba en toda la región que estaba de la otra parte del río, desde Tafsa hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes de la otra parte del río: y tuvo paz con todos sus lados al derredor.
25 And Juda and Israel dwelliden withouten ony drede, ech man vndur his vyne, and vndur his fige tree, fro Dan `til to Bersabe, in alle the daies of Salomon.
Y Judá e Israel vivían confiadamente cada uno debajo de su vid, y debajo de su higuera, desde Dan hasta Beer-seba, todos los días de Salomón.
26 And Salomon hadde fourty thousynd cratchis of horsis for charis, and twelue thousynde of roode horsis; and the forseid prefectis nurshiden tho horsis.
Tenía allende de esto Salomón cuarenta mil caballos en sus caballerizas para sus carros, y doce mil caballos de cabalgar.
27 But also with greet bisynesse thei yauen necessaries to the boord of kyng Salomon in her tyme;
Y los sobredichos gobernadores mantenían al rey Salomón, y a todos los que venían a la mesa del rey Salomón, cada uno su mes, y hacían que nada faltase.
28 also thei brouyten barli, and forage of horsis and werk beestis, in to the place where the king was, `bi ordenaunce to hem.
Y traían también cebada y paja para los caballos, y para las bestias de carga al lugar donde él estaba, cada uno conforme al cargo que tenía.
29 Also God yaf to Salomon wisdom, and prudence ful myche, and largenesse of herte, as the soond which is in the brenke of the see.
Y dio Dios a Salomón sabiduría, y prudencia muy grande, y anchura de corazón, como la arena que está a la orilla de la mar:
30 And the wisdom of Solomon passide the wisdom of alle eest men, and Egipcians;
Que fue mayor la sabiduría de Salomón, que la de todos los Orientales, y que toda la sabiduría de los Egipcios.
31 and he was wisere than alle men; he was wisere than Ethan Esraite, and than Eman, and than Cacal, and than Dorda, the sones of Maol; and he was named among alle folkis bi cumpas.
Y aun fue más sabio que todos los hombres; y más que Etán Ezrahita, y que Hemán, y Calcol, y Dorda los hijos de Mahol: y fue nombrado entre todas las naciones de al derredor.
32 And Salomon spak thre thousynde parablis, and hise songis weren fyue thousynde;
Y propuso tres mil parábolas: y sus versos fueron cinco y mil.
33 and he disputide of trees fro a cedre which is in the Lyban, `til to the ysope that goith out of the wal; he disputide of werk beestis, and briddis, and crepynge beestis, and fischis.
De los árboles también disputó desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que nace en la pared. Asimismo disputó de los animales, de las aves, de las serpientes, de los peces.
34 And thei camen fro alle puplis to here the wisdom of Salomon, and fro alle kyngis of erthe, that herden his wisdom.
Y venían de todos los pueblos a oír la sabiduría de Salomón, y de todos los reyes de la tierra, donde había llegado la fama de su sabiduría.
