1 Kings 4
1 `Forsothe kyng Salomon was regnynge on al Israel.
Reinaba el rey Salomón sobre todo Israel.
2 And these weren the princes which he hadde; Azarie, sone of Sadoch, preest;
Sus ministros eran estos: Azarías, hijo de Sadoc, era el sacerdote;
3 Helioreb, and Haia, sones of Sila, `weren scryueyns; Josophat, sone of Achilud, was chaunseler;
Elihóref y Ahías, hijos de Sisa, secretarios; Josafat, hijo de Aquilud, cronista;
4 Banaie, sone of Joiada, was on the oost; forsothe Sadoch and Abiathar weren preestis;
Banaías, hijo de Joiadá, jefe del ejército; Sadoc y Abiatar, sacerdotes;
5 Azarie, sone of Nathan, was on hem that stoden niy the kyng; Zabul, the sone of Nathan, was preest, `that is, greet and worschipful, a freend of the kyng;
Azarías, hijo de Natán, jefe de los intendentes; Zabud, hijo de Natán, sacerdote, amigo del rey;
6 and Ahiasar was stiward of the hows; and Adonyram, sone of Adda, was on the tributis.
Aquisar, prefecto del palacio; y Adoniram, hijo de Abdá, prefecto de los tributos.
7 Forsothe Salomon hadde twelue `prefectis, ether cheef minystrys, on al Israel, that yauen lijflode to the kyng, and to his hows; sotheli bi ech monethe bi it silf in the yeer, ech prefect bi hym silf mynystride necessaries.
Tenía Salomón doce intendentes sobre todo Israel, los cuales proveían de víveres al rey y su casa. Cada uno tenía que proveer los víveres durante un mes del año.
8 And these ben the names of hem; Benhur, in the hil of Effraym;
He aquí los nombres de ellos: Ben-Hur, en la montaña de Efraím;
9 Bendechar, in Macces, and in Salebbym, and in Bethsames, and in Helon, and in Bethanan;
Ben-Déquer en Macas, Saalbim, Betsemes, Elón y Bethanán;
10 Beneseth, in Araboth; forsothe Socco, and al the lond of Epher was his;
Ben-Hésed, en Arubot; él tenía Socó y toda la tierra de Héfer.
11 Benabidanab, whos was al Neptad, hadde Dortaphaed, `Solomons douyter, to wijf.
Ben- Abinadab tenía toda Nafat-Dor; su mujer era Tafat, hija de Salomón.
12 Bena, sone of Achilud, gouernyde Thaneth, and Mageddo, and al Bethsan, which is bisidis Sarthana, vndur Jezrael, fro Bethsan `til to Abelmeula, euene ayens Zelmaan.
Baaná, hijo de Aquilud, tenía Taanac y Megiddó, y todo Betseán, que está al lado de Saretan, por debajo de Jesreel, desde Betseán hasta Abel-Meholá, hasta más allá de Jocneam.
13 Bengaber in Ramoth of Galaad hadde Anothiair, of the sone of Manasses, in Galaad; he was souereyn in al the cuntrey of Argob, which is in Basan, to sixti greet citees and wallid, that hadden brasun lockis.
Ben-Géber, en Ramot-Galaad, tenía las Villas de Jaír, hijo de Manasés, situadas en Galaad. Tenía también la región de Argob, que está en Basan, sesenta ciudades grandes con muros y con barras de bronce.
14 Achymadab, sone of Addo, was souereyn in Manaym;
Aquinadab, hijo de Addó, en Mahanaim;
15 Achymaas was in Neptalym, but also he hadde Bachsemath, douyter of Salomon, in wedloc;
Aquimaas, en Neftalí; este también había tomado por mujer una hija de Salomón (de nombre) Basemat;
16 Banaa, sone of Husy, was in Aser, and in Balod;
Baaná, hijo de Husai, en Aser y en Alot;
17 Josephat, sone of Pharue, was in Ysachar; Semey, sone of Hela, was in Beniamyn;
Josafat, hijo de Parúa, en Isacar;
18 Gaber,
Semeí, hijo de Elá, en Benjamín;
19 sone of Sury, was in the lond of Galaad, and in the lond of Seon, kyng of Amorrey, and of Og, kyng of Basan, on alle thingis, that weren in that lond.
Géber, hijo de Urí, en la tierra de Galaad, país de Sehón, rey amorreo, y de Og, rey de Basan. Había en aquella tierra un solo intendente.
20 Juda and Israel weren vnnoumbrable, as the soond of the see in multitude, etynge, and drynkynge, and beynge glad.
Judá e Israel eran numerosos; su multitud era como las arenas que hay a orillas del mar; y comían y bebían y se alegraban.
21 Forsothe Solomon was in his lordschip, and hadde alle rewmes, as fro the flood of the lond of Filisteis `til to the laste part of Egipt, of men offrynge yiftis to hym, and seruynge to hym, in alle the daies of his lijf.
Reinaba Salomón sobre todos los reinos desde el río hasta la tierra de los filisteos, y hasta la frontera de Egipto. Ellos traían tributos y estuvieron sujetos a Salomón todos los días de su vida.
22 Forsothe the mete of Salomon was bi ech day, thritti chorus of clene flour of whete, and sixti chorus of mele,
La provisión para la mesa de Salomón consistía cada día en treinta coros de flor de harina y sesenta coros de harina común,
23 ten fatte oxis, and twenti oxis of lesewe, and an hundrid wetheris, outakun huntyng of hertys, of geet, and of buglis, and of briddis maad fat.
diez bueyes cebados, veinte bueyes de pasto, y cien ovejas, sin contar los corzos, gacelas, ciervos y aves cebadas.
24 For he helde al the cuntrei that was biyende the flood, as fro Caphsa `til to Gasa, and alle the kyngis of tho cuntreis; and he hadde pees bi ech part in cumpas.
Porque él reinaba sobre toda la tierra al lado de aquí del río, desde Tafsah hasta Gaza, sobre todos los reyes de esta parte del río; y gozaba de paz por todos lados en derredor suyo.
25 And Juda and Israel dwelliden withouten ony drede, ech man vndur his vyne, and vndur his fige tree, fro Dan `til to Bersabe, in alle the daies of Salomon.
Judá e Israel habitaban seguros, cada cual bajo su parra y su higuera, desde Dan hasta Bersabee, todos los días de Salomón.
26 And Salomon hadde fourty thousynd cratchis of horsis for charis, and twelue thousynde of roode horsis; and the forseid prefectis nurshiden tho horsis.
Tenía Salomón cuarenta mil pesebres para los caballos de sus carros, y doce mil caballos de silla.
27 But also with greet bisynesse thei yauen necessaries to the boord of kyng Salomon in her tyme;
Aquellos intendentes proveían de víveres al rey Salomón y a cuantos tenían acceso a la mesa del rey Salomón, cada cual en su mes, sin dejar que faltase cosa alguna.
28 also thei brouyten barli, and forage of horsis and werk beestis, in to the place where the king was, `bi ordenaunce to hem.
Llevaban también cebada y paja para los caballos y para las bestias de carga a cualquier lugar donde él estaba, cada uno cuando le tocaba el turno.
29 Also God yaf to Salomon wisdom, and prudence ful myche, and largenesse of herte, as the soond which is in the brenke of the see.
Dios otorgó a Salomón sabiduría, y una inteligencia y grandeza de corazón tan inmensa como la arena que está en las playas del mar;
30 And the wisdom of Solomon passide the wisdom of alle eest men, and Egipcians;
de modo que la sabiduría de Salomón superaba a la sabiduría de todos los hijos del Oriente y a toda la sabiduría de Egipto.
31 and he was wisere than alle men; he was wisere than Ethan Esraite, and than Eman, and than Cacal, and than Dorda, the sones of Maol; and he was named among alle folkis bi cumpas.
Era más sabio que todos los hombres: más que Etán; el ezrahita, más que Hernán, Calcol y Dardá, hijos de Macol, y su nombre se celebraba en todas las naciones comarcanas.
32 And Salomon spak thre thousynde parablis, and hise songis weren fyue thousynde;
Compuso tres mil proverbios, y sus cantos fueron mil cinco.
33 and he disputide of trees fro a cedre which is in the Lyban, `til to the ysope that goith out of the wal; he disputide of werk beestis, and briddis, and crepynge beestis, and fischis.
Disertó acerca de los árboles, desde el cedro del Líbano hasta el hisopo que brota en el muro. Discurrió asimismo sobre las bestias, las aves, los reptiles y los peces.
34 And thei camen fro alle puplis to here the wisdom of Salomon, and fro alle kyngis of erthe, that herden his wisdom.
Para oír la sabiduría de Salomón venían hombres de todos los pueblos, enviados de todos los reyes de la tierra, que habían oído hablar de su sabiduría.
