1 Kings 20
1 Forsothe Benadab, kyng of Sirye, gaderide al his oost, and two and thritti kyngis with hym, and horsis, and charis; and he stiede ayens Samarie, and fauyt, and bisegide it.
Gitigom ni Ben Hadad ang hari sa Aram ang tanan niyang kasundalohan. Adunay 32 ka mga ubos nga mga hari nga uban kaniya, mga kabayo, ug mga karwahe. Mitungas siya, gipalibotan ang Samaria ug nakig-away batok kanila.
2 And he sente messangeris to Achab, kyng of Israel, in to the citee,
Nagpadala siya ug mga mensahero ngadto sa siyudad alang kang Ahab nga hari sa Israel, ug miingon kaniya, “Miingon si Ben Hadad niini:
3 and seide, Benadab seith these thingis, Thi siluer and thi gold is myn, and thi wyues, and thi beste sones ben myn.
'Akoa ang imong mga plata ug ang imong mga bulawan. Lakip ang imong mga asawa ug imong mga anak, ang labing maayo, karon akoa na.'”
4 And the kyng of Israel answeride, Bi thi word, my lord the kyng, Y am thin, and alle my thingis `ben thine.
Mitubag ang hari sa Israel ug miingon, “Sama kini sa imong giingon akong agalon, nga hari. Ako ug ang tanan nga ania kanako imoha man.”
5 And the messangeris turneden ayen, and seiden, Benadab, that sente vs to thee, seith these thingis, Thou schalt yyue to me thi siluer, and thi gold, and thi wyues, and thi sones.
Miabot na usab ang mensahero ug miingon, “Miingon si Ben Hadad niini, 'Nagpadala ako ug pulong kanimo nga naga-ingon nga kinahanglan nga ihatag mo kanako ang imong mga plata, imong mga bulawan, imong mga asawa, ug ang imong mga anak.
6 Therfor to morewe, in this same our, Y schal sende my seruauntis to thee, and thei schulen seke thin hows, and the hows of thi seruauntis; and thei schulen putte in her hondis, and take awey al thing that schal plese hem.
Apan ipadala ko ang akong mga sulugoon ugma diha kanimo sa samang oras, ug susihon nila ang imong balay ug ang mga balay sa imong mga sulugoon. Sakmiton nila ug kuhaon ang bisan unsa nga makapalipay sa ilang mga mata.'”
7 Forsothe the kyng of Israel clepide alle the eldere men of the lond, and seide, Perseyue ye, and se, that he settith tresoun to vs; for he sente to me for my wyues, and sones, and for siluer, and gold, and Y forsook not.
Unya gipatawag sa hari sa Israel ang mga kadagkoan sa yuta ug miingon, “Palihog timan-i ug tan-awa kung giunsa pagpangita niining tawhana ug kasamok. Nagpadala siya ug pulong kanako aron kuhaon ang akong mga asawa, mga anak, ug mga plata ug mga bulawan, ug wala ako nagdumili kaniya.”
8 And alle the gretter men in birthe, and al the puple seiden to hym, Here thou not, nether assente thou to hym.
Miingon ang tanang kadagkoan ug ang tanang katawhan ngadto kang Ahab, “Ayaw siya paminawa o tugoti ang iyang mga hangyo.”
9 And he answeride to the messangeris of Benadab, Seie ye to my lord the kyng, Y schal do alle thingis, for whiche thou sentist in the bigynnyng to me, thi seruaunt; forsothe Y may not do this thing.
Busa miingon si Ahab sa mga mensahero ni Ben Hadad, “Sultihi ang akong agalon nga hari, 'Mitugot ako sa tanang mga butang nga gipabuhat mo sa imong alagad sa unang higayon, apan dili ko na madawat kining ikaduhang hangyo.'” Busa mibiya ang mga mensahero ug gidala kining tubag ngadto kang Ben Hadad.
10 And the messangeris turneden ayen, and telden alle thingis to hym. Which sente ayen, and seide, Goddis do these thingis to me, and adde these thingis, if the dust of Samarie schal suffice to the fistis of al the puple that sueth me.
Unya gipadala ni Ben Hadad ang iyang tubag ngadto kang Ahab, ug miingon, “Hinaot ang mga dios magabuhat kanako ug labaw pa, kung ang mga abo sa Samaria makaigo nga hakopon alang sa tanang katawhan nga mosunod kanako.”
11 And the kyng of Israel answeride, and seide, Seie ye to hym, A gird man, `that is, he that goith to batel, haue not glorie euenli as a man vngird.
Mitubag ang hari sa Israel ug miingon, “Sultihi si Ben Hadad, 'Walay bisan usa nga tawo nga mao pa lang ang pagsul-ob sa iyang hinagiban ang mahimong magpasigarbo ingon nga gihukas na niya kini.'”
12 Forsothe it was doon, whanne Benadab hadde herd this word, he drank, and the kyngis, in schadewyng places; and he seide to hise seruauntis, Cumpasse ye the citee.
Nadungog ni Ben Hadad kining maong mensahe samtang nag-inom siya, siya ug ang mga hari nga sakop kaniya nga anaa sa ilang mga tolda. 13 And thei cumpassiden it. And lo! o prophete neiyede to Acab, kyng of Israel, and seide to hym, The Lord God seith these thingis, Certis thou hast seyn al this multitude ful greet; lo! Y schal bitake it in to thin hond to dai, that thou wite that Y am the Lord.
Unya tan-awa, miadto ang usa ka propeta ngadto kang Ahab ang hari sa Israel ug miingon, '“Miingon si Yahweh, 'Nakita ba nimo kining dakong kasundalohan? Tan-awa, ibutang ko sila sa imong mga kamot karong adlawa, ug masayod ka nga ako mao si Yahweh.'”
14 And Achab seide, Bi whom? And he seide to Achab, The Lord seith these thingis, Bi the squyeris of the princes of prouynces. And Achab seide, Who schal bigynne to fiyte? And the prophete seide, Thou.
Mitubag si Ahab, '“Pinaagi kang kinsa?'” Mitubag si Yahweh ug miingon, “Pinaagi sa mga batan-ong opisyal nga nag-alagad sa mga gobernador sa distrito.” Unya miingon si Ahab, “Kinsa man ang magsugod sa gubat?” Mitubag si Yahweh, “Ikaw.”
15 Therfor he noumbryde the children of the princes of prouynces, and he foond the noumbre of twei hundrid and two and thretti; and aftir hem he noumbride the puple, alle the sones of Israel, seuene thousynde.
Unya gitapok ni Ahab ang mga batan-ong opisyal nga nag-alagad sa gobernador sa maong mga distrito. Adunay 232 ang ilang gidaghanon. Sunod kanila gitapok niya ang tanang mga sundalo, ang tanan nga kasundalohan sa Israel; adunay 7, 000 ang ilang gidaghanon.
16 And thei yeden out in myddai. Forsothe Benadab drank, and was drunkun in his schadewyng place, and two and thretti kyngis with hym, that camen to the help of hym.
Nanglakaw sila pagkaudto. Nag-inom ug nahubog si Ben Hadad sa iyang tolda, siya ug ang 32 ka ubos nga mga hari nga nagasuporta kaniya.
17 Sotheli the children of princes of prouynces yeden out in the firste frount. Therfor Benadab sente men, whiche telden to hym, and seide, Men yeden out of Samarie.
Nag-una paghasmag ang mga batan-ong opisyal nga maoy nag-alagad sa mga gobernador sa mga distrito. Unya gibalitaan si Ben Hadad sa iyang mga sundalo nga iyang gipadala, “Migawas ang mga katawhan gikan sa Samaria.”
18 And he seide, Whether thei comen for pees, take ye hem quyke; whether to fiyte, take ye hem quyke.
Miingon si Ben Hadad, “Bisan pa ug nanganhi sila alang sa kalinaw o kasamok, dakpa sila nga buhi.”
19 Therfor the children of prynces of prouynces yeden out,
Busa ang mga batan-ong opisyal nga nag-alagad sa mga gobernador sa maong mga distrito migawas sa siyudad ug misunod kanila ang mga kasundalohan.
20 and the residue oost suede; and ech smoot the man that cam ayens hym. And men of Sirie fledden, and Israel pursuede hem; also Benadab, kyng of Sirie, fledde on an hors with his kniytis.
Gipamatay sa matag-usa kanila ang iyang mga kaaway ug mikalagiw ang mga Arameanhon. Gigukod sila sa mga Israelita. Nakaikyas si Ben Hadad ang hari sa Aram pinaagi sa pagsakay sa kabayo uban sa pipila ka mga mangangabayo.
21 Also the king of Israel yede out, and smoot horsis and charis, and he smoot Sirie with a ful greet veniaunce.
Unya gisulong sa hari sa Israel ang mga kabayo ug mga karwahe, ug gipamatay ang mga Arameanhon sa usa ka dakong pagpatay.
22 Forsothe a prophete neiyede to the kyng of Israel, and seide, Go thou, and be coumfortid, and wyte, and se, what thou schalt do; for the kyng of Sirie schal stie ayens thee in the yeer suynge.
Busa miadto ang propeta ngadto sa hari sa Israel ug miingon kaniya, “Lakaw, lig-ona ang imong kaugalingon, ug sabta ug paglaraw kung unsa ang imong pagabuhaton, tungod kay sa sunod nga tuig mobalik ang hari sa Aram aron sa pagpakigbatok pag-usab kanimo.”
23 Sotheli the seruauntis of the kyng of Sirie seiden to hym, The Goddis of hillis ben the Goddis of the sones of Israel, therfor thei ouercamen vs; but it is betere that we fiyte ayens hem in feeldi placis, and we schulen geet hem.
Miingon ang mga sulugoon sa hari sa Aram kaniya, “Ang ilang dios maoy dios sa mga kabungtoran. Mao nga mas kusgan sila kay kanato. Mao nga karon makig-away kita batok kanila didto sa patag, ug sigurado gayod nga mas kusgan kita kay kanila.
24 Therfor do thou this word; remoue thou alle kyngis fro thin oost, and sette thou princis for hem;
Busa kinahanglan buhaton nimo kini: papahawaa ang mga hari gikan sa ilang mga katungdanan ug pulihi sila sa mga pangulo sa kasundalohan.
25 and restore thou the noumbre of knyytis, that felden of thine, and horsis bi the formere horsis, and restore thou charis, bi the charis whiche thou haddist bifore; and we schulen fiyte ayens hem in feeldy places, and thou schalt se, that we schulen gete hem. He bileuyde to the counsel of hem, and dide so.

26 Therfor after that the yeer hadde passid, Benadab noumbride men of Sirie, and he stiede in to Affech, to fiyte ayens Israel.

27 Forsothe the sones of Israel weren noumbrid; and whanne meetis weren takun, thei yeden forth euene ayens, and thei, as twey litle flockis of geet, settiden tentis ayens men of Sirie. Forsothe men of Sirie filliden the erthe.
Gitapok ang katawhan sa Israel ug gihatagan ug panginahanglanon aron sa pagpakig-away batok kanila. Nagkampo ang katawhan sa Israel atbang kanila sama sa duha ka gagmay nga panon sa mga kanding, apan gipuno sa mga Arameanhon ang kabukiran.
28 And o prophete of God neiyede, and seide to the kyng of Israel, The Lord God seith these thingis, For men of Sirie seiden, God of hillis is the Lord of hem, and he is not God of valeis, Y schal yyue al this greet multitude in thin hond, and ye schulen wite that Y am the Lord.
Unya mipaduol ang sulugoon sa Dios ug nakigsulti sa hari sa Israel nga nag-ingon, “Miingon si Yahweh: 'Tungod kay nag-ingon man ang mga Arameanhon nga si Yahweh mao ang dios sa mga kabungtoran, apan dili siya dios sa kawalogan, ibutang ko kining dagkong kasundalohan sa imong kamot, ug masayod ka nga ako mao si Yahweh.'”
29 In seuene daies these and thei dressiden scheltruns euene ayens; forsothe in the seuenthe dai the batel was joyned togidere, and the sones of Israel smytiden of men of Syrie an hundrid thousynde of foot men in o dai.
Busa nag-atbang ug kampo ang mga kasundalohan sulod sa pito ka adlaw. Unya sa ika-pito nga adlaw nagsugod ang gubat. Nakapatay ang katawhan sa Israel ug 100, 000 ka mga Arameanhon nga nagbaktas sulod sa usa ka adlaw.
30 Forsothe thei that leften fledden in to the citee of Affech, and the wal felde doun on seuene and twenti thousynde of men that leften. Forsothe Benadab fledde, and entride in to the citee, in to a closet that was with ynne a closet;
Ang uban mikalagiw ngadto sa Afek, ngadto sa siyudad, ug ang paril napukan sa 27, 000 ka tawo kadtong mga nahibilin. Mikalagiw si Ben Hadad ug miadto sa siyudad, ngadto sa kinasulorang lawak.
31 and hise seruauntis seiden to him, We herden that the kyngis of the hows of Israel ben merciful, therfor putte we sackis in oure leendis, and cordis in oure heedis, and go we out to the kyng of Israel; in hap he schal saue oure lyues.
Miingon ang sulugoon ni Ben Hadad kaniya, “Tan-awa karon, nadungog nato nga manggiluloy-on nga mga hari ang mga hari sa panimalay sa Israel. Palihog magsul-ob kita ug bisti nga sako palibot sa atong mga hawak ug maghikot ug mga pisi sa atong mga ulo, ug moadto sa hari sa Israel. Tingali ug luwason niya ang imong kinabuhi.”
32 Thei girdiden her leendis with sackis, and puttiden coordis in her heedis, and thei camen to the kyng of Israel, and seiden to hym, Thi seruaunt Benadab seith, Y preye thee, lete `my soule lyue. And he seide, If Benadab lyueth yit, he is my brother.
Busa nagsul-ob sila ug sako nga bisti palibot sa ilang mga hawak ug naghikot ug mga pisi sa ilang mga ulo ug miadto sila sa hari sa Israel ug miingon, “Miingon ang imong sulugoon nga si Ben Hadad, 'Palihog tugoti ako nga mabuhi.'” Miingon si Ahab, “Buhi pa ba siya? Igsoon nako siya.”
33 Which thing the men of Sirie token for a graciouse word, and rauyschiden hastily the word of his mouth, and seiden, Thi brother Benadab lyueth. And Achab seide to hem, Go ye, and brynge ye hym to me. Therfor Benadab yede out to hym, and he reiside Benadab in to his chare.
Karon naminaw ang kalalakin-an alang sa bisan unsa nga sinyas gikan kang Ahab, busa midali sila sa pagtubag kaniya, “Oo, buhi pa ang imong igsoon nga si Ben Hadad.” Unya miingon si Ahab, “Lakaw ug dad-a siya.” Unya miadto si Ben Hadad kaniya, ug gipasakay siya ni Ahab sa iyang karwahe.
34 `Which Benadab seide to hym, Y schal yelde the citees whiche my fadir took fro thi fadir, and make thou stretis to thee in Damask, as my fadir made in Samarie; and Y schal be boundun to pees, and Y schal departe fro thee. Therfor he made boond of pees, and delyuerede hym.
Miingon si Ben Hadad ngadto kang Ahab, “Iuli ko kanimo ang siyudad nga gikuha sa akong amahan gikan sa imong amahan, ug makahimo ka ug mga merkado alang sa imong kaugalingon ngadto sa Damascus, sama sa gibuhat sa akong amahan sa Samaria.” Mitubag si Ahab, “Palakwon ko ikaw uban niini nga kasabotan.” Busa nagbuhat ug kasabotan si Ahab uban kaniya ug gipalakaw niya siya.
35 Thanne sum man of the sones of prophetis seide to his felowe, in the word of the Lord, Smyte thou me. And he nolde smyte.
Adunay usa ka tawo, usa sa mga anak sa mga propeta, nga miingon sa usa sa iyang kauban nga propeta pinaagi sa pulong ni Yahweh, “Palihog sumbaga ko.” Apan nagdumili ang tawo sa pagsumbag kaniya.
36 To `whiche felowe he seide, For thou noldist here the vois of the Lord, lo! thou schalt go fro me, and a lioun schal smyte thee. And whanne he hadde go a litil fro hym, a lioun foond hym, and slowy hym.
Unya miingon ang propeta sa iyang kauban nga propeta, “Tungod kay wala ka man motuman sa tingog ni Yahweh, sa higayon nga mobiya ka kanako, usa ka liyon ang mopatay kanimo.” Ug sa higayon nga mibiya siya gikan kaniya giataki siya sa usa ka liyon ug gipatay siya.
37 But also the prophete foond another man, and he seide to that man, Smyte thou me. Which smoot him, and woundide him.
Unya nakakaplag ang propeta ug laing tawo ug miingon, “Palihog sumbaga ko.” Busa gisumbag siya sa tawo ug nasamdan siya.
38 Therfor the prophete yede, and mette the kyng in the weie; and he chaungide his mouth and iyen, by sprynging of dust.
Unya mibiya ang propeta ug nagpaabot sa hari diha sa dalan; nagtakuban sa iyang kaugalingon pinaagi sa pagtaptap ibabaw sa iyang mga mata.
39 And whanne the kyng hadde passid, he criede to the kyng, and seide, Thi seruaunt yede out to fiyte anoon, and whanne o man hadde fledde, sum man brouyte hym to me, and seide, Kepe thou this man; and if he aschapith, thi lijf schal be for his lijf, ether thou schalt paye a talent of siluere.
Sa paglabay na sa hari, gisinggitan sa propeta ang hari ug miingon, “Ang imong sulugoon migula sa kataliwad-an sa gubat, ug mihunong ang usa ka sundalo ug nagdala ug kaaway nganhi kanako ug miingon, 'Bantayi kining tawhana. Kung mawala siya sa bisan unsang paagi, nan ang imong kinabuhi maoy ihatag alang sa iyang kinabuhi, o kung dili mobayad ka ug usa ka talent nga plata.
40 Sotheli while Y was troblid, and turnede me hidur and thidur, sodeynly he apperide not. And the kyng of Israel seide to hym, This is thi doom which thou hast demed.
Apan tungod kay nagkapuliki man ang imong sulugoon ngadto ug nganhi, nakaikyas ang kaaway nga sundalo.” Unya miingon ang hari sa Israel kaniya, “Mao kini ang mahimo nimo nga silot—ikaw mismo maoy naghukom niini.”
41 And anoon he wipide awey the dust fro his face, and the kyng of Israel knew him, that he was of the prophetis.
Unya gikuha dayon sa propeta ang bugkos sa iyang mata, ug nailhan siya sa hari sa Israel nga siya usa sa mga propeta.
42 Which seide to the kyng, The Lord seith these thingis, For thou deliueridist fro thin hond a man worthi the deeth, thi lijf schal be for his lijf, and thi puple `schal be for his puple.
Miingon ang propeta ngadto sa hari, “Miingon si Yahweh, 'Tungod kay gibuhian man nimo ang tawo nga akong gihukman sa kamatayon, ang imong kinabuhi maoy ipuli sa iyang kinabuhi ug ang imong katawhan alang sa iyang katawhan.'”
43 Therfor the kyng of Israel turnede ayen in to his hows, and dispiside to here, and cam wod in to Samarie.
Busa mipauli ang hari sa Israel sa iyang panimalay nga masulub-on ug nasuko, ug miabot sa Samaria.
