1 Kings 2
1 Forsothe the daies of Dauid neiyiden, that he schulde die; and he comaundide to Salomon, his sone, and seide, Lo!
Als nun die Zeit kam, daß David sterben sollte, gebot er seinem Sohne Salomo und sprach:
2 Y entre in to the weie of al erthe; be thou coumfortid, and be thou a strong man.
Ich gehe hin den Weg aller Welt. So sei nun stark und sei ein Mann
3 And kepe thou the kepyngis and heestis of thi Lord God, that thou go in hise weies, and kepe hise cerymonyes, and hise heestis, and hise domes, and witnessyngis, as it is writun in the lawe of Moises; that thou vndurstonde alle thingis whiche thou doist, and whidur euer thou schalt turne thee.
und beobachte die Verordnungen des HERRN, deines Gottes, daß du in seinen Wegen wandelst, seine Satzungen, seine Gebote, seine Rechte und seine Zeugnisse haltest, wie im Gesetze Moses geschrieben steht, auf daß du weislich vollbringest alles, was du tust und wohin du dich wendest;
4 That the Lord conferme hise wordis, whiche the Lord spak of me, and seide, If thi sones kepen my weies, and goen bifor me in treuthe, in al her herte, and in al her soule, a man schal not be takun awei of thee fro the trone of Israel.
daß der HERR sein Wort bestätige, das er über mich geredet hat, indem er sagte: Werden deine Kinder auf ihre Wege achten, daß sie in Wahrheit vor mir wandeln, mit ihrem ganzen Herzen und mit ihrer ganzen Seele, so soll es dir nimmer (sprach er) an einem Manne fehlen auf dem Throne Israels!
5 Also thou knowist what thingis Joab, the sone of Saruye, dide to me; what thingis he dide to twey princis of the oost of Israel, to Abner, sone of Ner, and to Amasa, sone of Jether, whiche he killide, and schedde the blood of batel in pees; and puttide the blood of batel in his girdil, that was aboute hise leendis, and in his scho, that was in hise feet.
Du weißt aber auch, was mir Joab, der Sohn der Zeruja, getan hat, wie er an den beiden Heerführern Israels, an Abner, dem Sohne Ners, und an Amasa, dem Sohne Jeters, gehandelt hat, wie er sie umgebracht und also Kriegsblut [mitten] im Frieden vergossen und Kriegsblut an seinen Gürtel getan hat, der um seine Lenden war, und an die Schuhe, die an seinen Füßen waren.
6 Therfor thou schalt do by thi wisdom, and thou schalt not lede forth his hoornesse pesibli to hellis. (Sheol h7585)
So handle nun nach deiner Weisheit, daß du seine grauen Haare nicht in Frieden ins Totenreich fahren lässest! (Sheol h7585)
7 But also thou schalt yelde grace to the sones of Bersellai of Galaad, and thei schulen be eetynge in thi boord; for thei metten me, whanne Y fledde fro the face of Absolon, thi brother.
Aber den Kindern Barsillais, des Gileaditers, sollst du Barmherzigkeit erweisen, daß sie unter denen seien, die an deinem Tische essen, denn ebenso hielten sie sich zu mir, als ich vor deinem Bruder Absalom floh.
8 Also thou hast anentis thee Semey, sone of Gera, sone of Gemyny, of Bahurym, which Semei curside me bi the worste cursyng, whanne Y yede to `the castels; but for he cam doun to me in to metyng, whanne Y passide Jordan, and Y swoor to him bi the Lord, and seide, Y schal not slee thee bi swerd,
Und siehe, du hast bei dir Simei, den Sohn Geras, den Benjaminiter, von Bachurim, der mir bitter und schändlich fluchte zu der Zeit, als ich nach Mahanaim ging. Als er aber dann an den Jordan herab mir entgegenkam, da schwur ich ihm bei dem HERRN und sprach: Ich will dich nicht mit dem Schwerte töten!
9 nyle thou suffre hym to be vnpunyschid; forsothe thou art a wise man, and thou schalt wite what thou schalt do to hym, and thou schalt lede forth hise hoor heeris with blood to hellis. (Sheol h7585)
Nun aber laß du ihn nicht ungestraft; denn du bist ein weiser Mann und wirst wohl wissen, was du ihm tun sollst, daß du seine grauen Haare mit Blut ins Totenreich hinunter bringest. (Sheol h7585)
10 Sotheli Dauid slepte with hise fadris, and was biriede in the citee of Dauid.
Und David entschlief mit seinen Vätern und ward begraben in der Stadt Davids.
11 Forsothe the daies, in whiche Dauid regnede on Israel, ben fourti yeer; in Ebron he regned seuene yeer, in Jerusalem thre and thretti yeer.
Die Zeit aber, die David über Israel regierte, betrug vierzig Jahre. Sieben Jahre lang war er König zu Hebron und dreiunddreißig Jahre lang zu Jerusalem.
12 Forsothe Salomon sat on the trone of Dauid, his fadir, and his rewme was maad stidfast greetli.
Und Salomo saß auf dem Throne seines Vaters David, und sein Königtum ward fest gegründet.
13 And Adonye, sone of Agith, entride to Bersabee, modir of Salomon; and sche seide to hym, Whether thin entryng is pesible? And he answeride, It is pesible.
Adonia aber, der Sohn der Haggit, kam hinein zu Batseba, der Mutter Salomos. Und sie sprach: Kommst du auch in Frieden? Er sprach: Ja, in Frieden!
14 And he addide, A word of me is to thee. `To whom sche seide, Speke thou.
Und er sprach: Ich habe mit dir zu reden.
15 And he seide, Thou knowist that the rewme was myn, and al Israel purposide to make me in to king to hem; but the rewme is translatid, and is maad my brotheris; for of the Lord it is ordeyned to hym.
Sie sprach: Sage her! Er sprach: Du weißt, daß das Königtum mein war und daß ganz Israel sein Angesicht auf mich gerichtet hatte, daß ich König sein sollte; nun aber ist mir das Königtum entgangen und meinem Bruder zugefallen; denn es war ihm vom HERRN bestimmt.
16 Now therfor Y preye of the oon axyng; schende thou not my face. And sche seide to hym, Speke thou. And he seide, Y preie,
Nun habe ich eine Bitte an dich; die wollest du mir nicht abschlagen. Sie sprach zu ihm:
17 that thou seie to Salomon the king; for he may not denye ony thing to thee; that he yyue to me Abisag of Sunam wijf.
Sage her! Er sprach: Rede doch mit dem König Salomo (denn dich wird er nicht abweisen), daß er mir Abisag von Sunem zum Weibe gebe.
18 And Bersabee seide, Wel, Y schal speke for thee to the kyng.
Batseba sprach: Gut, ich will deinetwegen mit dem König reden!
19 Therfor Bersabee cam to kyng Salomon, to speke to hym for Adonye; and the kyng roos ayens the comyng of hir, and worschipide hir, and `sat on his trone; and a trone was set to the modir of the kyng, and sche sat at his riyt side.
Also kam Batseba hinein zum König Salomo, mit ihm zu reden wegen Adonia. Und der König stand auf und ging ihr entgegen und verneigte sich vor ihr und setzte sich auf seinen Thron. Und auch der Mutter des Königs ward ein Thron hingestellt, daß sie sich zu seiner Rechten setzte.
20 And sche seide to hym, Y preie of thee o litil axyng; schende thou not my face. And the kyng seide to hir, My modir, axe thou; for it is not leueful that Y turne awei thi face.
Und sie sprach: Ich habe eine kleine Bitte an dich, die wollest du mir nicht abschlagen! Der König sprach zu ihr: Bitte, meine Mutter; denn dich werde ich nicht abweisen!
21 And sche seide, Abisag of Sunam be youun wijf to Adonye, thi brother.
Sie sprach: Man gebe Abisag von Sunem deinem Bruder Adonia zum Weibe!
22 And kyng Salomon answeride, and seide to his modir, Whi axist thou Abisag of Sunam to Adonye? Axe thou to hym also the rewme; for he is `my gretter brothir, and he hath Abiathar, preest, and Joab, sone of Saruye.
Da antwortete der König Salomo und sprach zu seiner Mutter: Und warum bittest du für Adonia um Abisag von Sunem? Verlange für ihn auch das Königreich; denn er ist mein älterer Bruder und hat Abjatar, den Priester, und Joab, den Sohn der Zeruja, auf seiner Seite!
23 Therfor kyng Salomon swoor bi the Lord, and seide, God do to me these thingis, and adde these thinges, for Adonie spak this word ayens his lijf.
Und der König Salomo schwur bei dem HERRN und sprach: Gott tue mir dies und das! Adonia soll das wider sein Leben geredet haben!
24 And now the Lord lyueth, that confermede me, and hath set me on the trone of my fadir, and that hath maad to me an hows, as he spak, for Adonye schal be slayn to dai.
Und nun, so wahr der HERR lebt, der mich bestätigt und mich auf den Thron meines Vaters David gesetzt und mir ein Haus gemacht, wie er gesagt hat: Heute soll Adonia sterben!
25 And kyng Salomon sente bi the hond of Banaie, sone of Joiada; which Banaie killide Adonye, and he was deed.
Und der König Salomo sandte Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas; der schlug ihn, daß er starb.
26 Also the kyng seide to Abiathar, preest, Go thou in to Anatot, to thi feeld; and sotheli thou art a man of deeth, `that is, worthi the deeth, for conspiryng ayens me, and the ordynaunce of God, and of my fadir; but to dai Y schal not sle thee, for thou barist the arke of the Lord God bifor Dauid, my fadir, and thou suffridist trauele in alle thingis, in whiche my fadir trauelide.
Und zu dem Priester Abjatar sprach der König: Gehe hin nach Anatot, auf deinen Acker; denn du bist ein Mann des Todes; aber ich will dich heute nicht töten, denn du hast die Lade Gottes, des HERRN, getragen vor meinem Vater David und hast mitgelitten alles, was mein Vater gelitten hat.
27 Therfor Salomon puttide out Abiathar, that he schulde not be preest of the Lord, that the word of the Lord were fillid, which he spak on the hows of Heli, in Silo.
Also verstieß Salomo den Abjatar, daß er nicht mehr Priester des HERRN sein durfte, wodurch das Wort des HERRN erfüllt wurde, das er zu Silo über das Haus Elis geredet hatte.
28 Forsothe a messager cam to Salomon, that Joab hadde bowid aftir Adonye, and that he hadde not bowid after Salomon. Therfor Joab fledde in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and took the horn of the auter.
Und das Gerücht davon kam vor Joab; denn Joab hing an Adonia, während er sich nicht zu Absalom gehalten hatte. Da floh Joab in das Zelt des HERRN und faßte die Hörner des Altars.
29 And it was teld to kyng Salomon, that Joab hadde fledde in to the tabernacle of the Lord, and was bisidis the auter; and Salomon sente Banaie, sone of Joiada, and seide, Go thou, and sle hym.
Und es ward dem König Salomo gesagt: Joab ist zum Zelte des HERRN geflohen und siehe, er steht am Altar! Da sandte Salomo Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, und sprach: Geh, erschlage ihn!
30 And Banaie cam to the tabernacle of the Lord, and seide to Joab, The kyng seith these thingis, Go thou out. And he seide, Y schal not go out, but Y schal die here. Banaie telde the word to the kyng, and seide, Joab spak thes thingis, and answeride these thingis to me.
Als nun Benaja zum Zelte des HERRN kam, sprach er zu ihm: So spricht der König: Gehe heraus! Er sprach: Nein, sondern hier will ich sterben! Und Benaja sagte solches dem König wieder und sprach: Also hat Joab gesprochen, und also hat er mir geantwortet!
31 And the kyng seide to Banaie, Do thou as he spak, and sle thou hym, and birie him; and thou schalt remoue the innocent blood, that was sched out of Joab, fro me, and fro the hows of my fadir.
Der König sprach zu ihm: Tue, wie er gesagt hat; erschlage ihn und begrabe ihn, daß du das Blut, das Joab ohne Grund vergossen hat, von mir und meines Vaters Hause wendest
32 And the Lord yelde on his heed his blood, for he killide twei iust men, and betere than hym silf, and he killide hem bi swerd, while Dauid, my fadir, `wiste not, Abner, the sone of Ner, the prince of the chyualrie of Israel, and Amasa, sone of Jether, the prince of the oost of Juda.
und daß der HERR sein Blut auf seinen eigenen Kopf kommen lasse, weil er zwei Männer erschlagen hat, die gerechter und besser waren als er, und sie mit dem Schwert umgebracht hat, da mein Vater David nichts darum wußte: nämlich Abner, den Sohn Ners, den Feldhauptmann Israels, und Amasa, den Sohn Jeters, den Feldhauptmann Judas.
33 And the blood of hem schal turne ayen in to the heed of Joab, and in to the heed of his seed with outen ende; forsothe pees be of the Lord til in to with outen ende to Dauid, and to his seed, and to the hous and trone of hym.
Ihr Blut komme auf Joabs Kopf und auf den Kopf seines Samens ewiglich; David aber und sein Same, sein Haus und sein Thron, habe ewiglich Frieden von dem HERRN!
34 Therfor Banaie, sone of Joiada, stiede, and asailide, and killide Joab; and Joab was biried in his hows in deseert.
Da ging Benaja, der Sohn Jojadas, hinauf und schlug ihn und tötete ihn; und er ward in seinem Hause begraben in der Wüste.
35 And the kyng ordeynede Banaie, sone of Joiada, on the oost for hym; and the kyng puttide Sadoch preest for Abiathar.
Da setzte der König Benaja, den Sohn Jojadas, an seine Statt über das Heer; den Priester Zadok aber setzte der König an Abjatars Statt.
36 Also the kyng sente, and clepide Semey, and seide to hym, Bilde to thee an hows in Jerusalem, and dwelle thou there, and thou schalt not go out fro thennus hidur and thidur;
Und der König sandte hin und ließ Simei rufen und sprach zu ihm: Baue dir ein Haus zu Jerusalem und wohne daselbst und gehe nicht von dannen heraus, weder hierhin noch dorthin!
37 sotheli in what euer dai thou goist out, and passist the stronde of Cedron, wite thou thee worthi to be slayn; thi blood schal be on thin heed.
An welchem Tage du hinausgehen und den Bach Kidron überschreiten wirst, sollst du wissen, daß du gewiß sterben mußt; dein Blut sei auf deinem Kopf!
38 And Semei seide to the kyng, The word of the kyng is good; as my lord the kyng spak, so thi seruaunt schal do. Therfor Semey dwellide in Jerusalem in many daies.
Simei sprach zum König: Das Wort ist gut; wie mein Herr, der König, gesagt hat, so wird dein Knecht tun! Also wohnte Simei zu Jerusalem lange Zeit.
39 Forsothe it was doon after thre yeer, that the seruauntis of Semei fledden to Achis, sone of Maacha, the kyng of Geth; and it was teld to Semey, that hise seruauntis hadden go in to Geth.
Es begab sich aber nach drei Jahren, daß dem Simei zwei Knechte entliefen zu Achis, dem Sohne Maachas, dem König zu Gat. Und es ward dem Simei angezeigt: Siehe, deine Knechte sind zu Gat!
40 And Semey roos, and sadlide his asse, and yede to Achis, in to Geth, to seke hise seruauntis; and brouyte hem ayen fro Geth.
Da machte sich Simei auf und sattelte seinen Esel und ritt nach Gat zu Achis, um seine Knechte zu suchen. Und Simei kam wieder und brachte seine Knechte von Gat zurück.
41 Forsothe it was teld to kyng Salomon, that Semey hadde go to Geth fro Jerusalem, and hadde come ayen.
Da ward dem Salomo angezeigt, daß Simei von Jerusalem nach Gat gegangen und wiedergekommen sei.
42 And Salomon sente, and clepide hym, and seide to hym, Whether Y witnessede not to thee bi the Lord, and bifor seide to thee, In what euer dai thou schalt go out hidur and thidur, wite thou that thou schalt die; and thou answeridist to me, The word is good, which Y herde?
Da sandte der König hin und ließ Simei rufen und sprach zu ihm: Habe ich von dir nicht einen Eid genommen bei dem HERRN und dir bezeugt und gesagt: An welchem Tage du ausziehen und hierhin oder dorthin gehen wirst, mußt du gewiß sterben? Und du sprachst zu mir: Das Wort ist gut; ich habe es gehört!
43 Whi therfor keptist thou not the ooth of the Lord, and the comaundement which Y comaundide to thee?
Warum hast du dich denn nicht gehalten an den Eid bei dem HERRN und an das Gebot, das ich dir gegeben habe?
44 And the kyng seide to Semei, Thou knowist al the yuel, of which thin herte is gilti to thee, which yuel thou didist to my fadir; the Lord hath yolde thi malice in to thin heed.
Und der König sprach zu Simei: Du weißt alle Bosheit, deren dein Herz bewußt ist, die du meinem Vater David zugefügt hast. So möge nun der HERR deine Bosheit auf deinen eigenen Kopf kommen lassen!
45 And kyng Salomon schal be blessid; and the trone of Dauid schal be stable bifor the Lord til in to with outen ende.
Aber der König Salomo sei gesegnet, und der Thron Davids stehe fest vor dem HERRN ewiglich!
46 Therfor the kyng comaundide to Banaie, sone of Joiada; and he assailide, and smoot Semey, and he was deed.
Und der König gebot Benaja, dem Sohne Jojadas; der ging hinaus und schlug ihn, daß er starb.
